After being told by the other near big box shops that they won't touch a tire not purchased through them, John was more than happy to help me out with a tire change. Had no appointment, no history with them, but knew from other reviews that they will change tires not bought from them, I stopped in at 945am, in March, in the middle of a noreastern, he immediately pulled my vehicle into the bay and got to work. Within an hour, I was on my way with my new shoes on, and wasn't pressured into any other purchases. They now have a customer for life. Good to know that not every business wants all or nothing. Some will still take a $125 sale opposed to nothing. Yes, the changeover was a little more, but that's expected.

They made me feel like they didn't want to do anything.

Had a tire on our RV trailer with a screw in it. Thankfully Ray Beane Tire was able to get us in on an emergency basis and fixed the tire within a 1/2 hour so we were able to get back on the road. Thanks John and the team.

Went there today for the second time. First time was sketchy. I had a mouse run up to me and sniff my foot. It smelled bad in there. Overflowing garbage cans. Thought the guy John was just a grumpy old odd guy. Today took the cake. John was rude; the waiting room even more disgusting. I sat by the door to avoid mouse contact. There were three customers who came in after me. They were done before me for some odd reason and I did have an appointment. One of them bought donuts and coffee for the mechanics and was told the tire swap was on the house. I paid $80 to get a change over. If I d known how John operates, I would have brought a dozen donuts and 4 coffees. I watched the mechanic working on my car. I have never seen anyone work that slow. He replaced all the wipers on my car. He made a trip to the garbage can for each wiper . my 98 year old grandmother could ve walked faster.I will never go back there. And neither should John. He has no business anymore running one.

We were on vacation in the Killington area but made a stop by the Vermont State Fair. Unfortunately I got a flat, changed the spare and went to Ray Beane the next morning when they opened at 7:30 AM to get the tire patched. We were leaving that morning as well, so definitely couldn't wait long. They patched the tire, mounted the tire and put the spare back underneath the vehicle in 30 minutes. Charged me $35 and I was on my way. Can't thank them enough for making this a priority.

Great place, the buying power of one of Vermont s oldest Goodyear dealers. 17$ per tire cheaper than the online stores. Jon worked hard to get this done for me, since I had a flat, nothing scheduled. One steady stream of satisfied customers, busy but efficient place, a strong recommend from me. ADA friendly facility, no steps, clean waiting area. Do not go anywhere else.

I cant speak for the actual service quality because I never got that far. The guy John that manages the front desk is incredibly rude and hard to work with. I drive a fleet vehicle and he tried to get them to approve the most expensive tire he could put on my vehicle. Safe to say that they didn't like that idea and it cause me several hours of wasted time and never getting the tires for my vehicle. I will never go there for anything that any of my vehicles would need. They are a giant scam with terrible manners.

I was traveling through the area and I had a front brake seize up on me. I pulled into his shop with out an appointment and with out-of-state plats on my car. Jon the owner, got one of his people on it ASAP found the problem, fixed it. did not try to up sell any products or services and within an amazing short time sent me on my way. The price was far below what I was expecting to pay, I am extremely happy with the service I got . I would use them again, I would send my mother there.Edit 11/22/2015 I stopped in for a oil change last week. It was done in 14 minutes.

We have always had great service with these folks. Jon is very matter-of-fact, as he has seen and heard just about everything. But they are completely competent, very good at what they do, and have kept our cars running for years at the lowest price possible. They make sure we know what the options are and take care of business.

I am from out of state and brought my car in with a tire needing to be patched/plugged. The service was fast, and reasonable. They did not try to upsell me on anything at all. They could have, as my tires are getting a little old.Honest service. If I ever need their services again I will return.

Great hometown shop, family owned and operated. They operate just like they did back in the good-ole-days, unlike those overpriced big box dealerships just down the road.

Ray Beane is the only shop around where I get good mileage out of the tires because they align a vehicle right the first time. I get twice the life from Ray Beane tires than anywhere else. I can get a set of tires and leave without paying crazy prices or have to worry about an improper alignment like I have received from Town fair tires. Go to John and get it done proper

So I got a flat on my way to Castleton, VT. We called a few places and the only one that had my size tire that was open on Saturday morning was this place, about 20 minutes from Castleton. The gentleman that took care of us was super nice, but might not have any sense of humor or desire to engage in small talk. He was kinda funny in his own way. We really wanted to get back to fishing, so getting this fixed quickly was a priority. He knew who we were from the phone call, got two tires changed in about 10 minutes (once he showed me the other tire it was obvious I needed to be changed too). I can't compare prices in Vermont, but the two tires mounted and balanced cost me $300. Sucks that I had to pay that on my vacation, but the same service in NJ would have cost me $500 or so. And since it would have been needed to be done anyway, I was happy with the whole experience.

Needed tire swap. Was quoted $70 over the phone. After waiting a week for my appt., they told me $120 while my car was on the lift because I didn't buy my tires from them (I brought my own tires). Unexpected price gouging.

Ultra quick service. Had exactly the tire I needed. Very reasonable price. Didn't try to sell me a bunch of unnecessary extra services or materials. A+

Brought my car in for a new set of tires and alignment, got it back with a crooked steering wheel. Brought it back on the advice of another shop in town. The manager gave my wife a hard time when she went to drop it off, and again when she picked it up. They fixed the car, but I would not recommend this place.

I do not like being talked to like a dump chick. They made a mistake and told me stories to cover up. Any other decent place would have made it right. I will not be going back.

Never had a bad experience with John and his crew. For the first time, I have a "guy" that I take my cars to.

Rude, felt over looked and stupid for being a woman. Spoke down to me. I am ASC mechanic in several fields and I am a woman (don't have a garage for my use). Decided to take my business some place else due to their rudeness.
