We stayed here on a weekend when Killington got hit with a ton of snow so they completely sold out of rooms. The price was very good considering every hotel was booked solid for the weekend, I think we paid $132 a night. Check in was very easy, the layout of the hotel was explained in detail and the breakfast/pool info. Room was good just what we needed. I m not expecting a 5 star place for the price. I just wanted clean beds and a decent bathroom for the weekend and we got exactly what we needed to make our trip work out well. Thanks for the great service. Front desk was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel option. We needed a place to stay for our skiing trip at Killington Resort and we're super glad we chose this place. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of space. Full breakfast options and a nice dining and lounge area. There is a pool and hot tub, both also very clean! The staff was very friendly and helpful with our questions, and the location is very convenient with a lot of the local amenities in short distance. We will definitely look to this place when we visit again in the future. Highly recommend!

The hotel's location is fantastic, easy access to local attractions and amenities. The rooms were clean - also spacious and comfortable.Delicious options for breakfast compared to other hotels I ve stayed in.The staff at truly stood out. They were very attentive to anything that we needed and made me feel valued as a guest. We spent some time in the common areas which were really well-maintained.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Rutland.

Friend and I booked a room here recently for 3 nights. The place was slightly run down but the first night was not bad. We woke up one morning to our sealed bread having been torn and chewed on, with mouse/animal poop scattered over the main desk of our room and on top of our items (similar to the other review here). We immediately reported it to the front staff and it seemed as if this was a common incident to them. The manager and front desk didn't even apologize at first, and were saying it would take a couple of hours perhaps to relocate us to a different room (for reasons that seemed oddly inefficient considering that their guests had a mouse wandering around their room). They didn't even allow us to store our luggage in the front lobby due to "liability issues" as if having a mouse in your room wasn't already a liability. We decided that it would be best to just pack up and ask for a refund considering their lack of priority to the situation and really didn't seem like it was a concern of theirs. Do not recommend staying at this place in Rutland, even if the prices are cheaper. Recommend looking at the other reviews for reference. Also wanted to add that like other reviews, our room had a damp smell/atmosphere to it. My friend and I thought it was due to us skiing and our clothes being moist from the snow, but the smell distinctly stayed for our entire stay which was odd.

I regret staying at the Comfort Inn Trolley Square and do not recommend the hotel. There was a mouse in our room, evidence of mold, and the room smelled musty. We were woken up on our second night to a strange noise but didn't think to associate it with a mouse, we thought one of our children must be moving in their sleep. The next morning we were packing to leave and found evidence of a mouse chewing through an unopened bag of wrapped Halloween candy bars with mouse poop. After discovering evidence of the mouse, I reported it to the front desk. They were sympathetic and said they would tell their manager. I received a very small deduction to my bill, but no other communication. A $30 refund was not adequate considering the price charged per night. I also reported it when I received their internal feedback request email. I received a response saying that I should have reported it earlier (I couldn't have) and they would have tried to relocate me. I don't feel like this was the appropriate response. There was mold behind the curtains on the wall and in the bathroom on the ceiling. The outlet in the bathroom did not hold the plug when I tried to use it and the hair dryer was falling off the wall. The place is run down and expensive. The breakfast staff were nice.

I have attached photos and videos documenting the presence of bed bugs in the room, as well as images of the bites I sustained. This experience has been not only physically painful but also emotionally distressing. I have never encountered such a disgusting situation in a hotel before. I stayed in room 340 from December 11th to 13th Upon entering the hotel on the first evening, I discovered the presence of bed bugs in my room. I immediately reported the situation to the front desk and provided them with photos of the bed bugs. Unfortunately, the staff on duty was unhelpful and informed me that they were unable to assist, stating that the matter would need to be addressed by their manager and supervisor the next day.In an attempt to address the issue, we moved to a neighboring bed for the night. However, no response or follow-up was provided by the hotel staff the next morning or upon our return in the evening. To my dismay, we discovered additional bed bugs in the bed we slept in, capturing photos and videos as evidence. I even took a bed bug's carcass to the front desk, but the response remained unhelpful. Not only did this situation ruin my vacation plans, which included a skiing trip, but I also suffered severe bites on my shoulders, back, neck, and other areas, resulting in significant redness, swelling, and a burning sensation. The discomfort was so severe that I had to seek medical attention.

Okay it's not a "Four Seasons" kind of a 5 star hotel rating, but it's probably the best "budget" hotel I've stayed in. Comfortable rooms, very well maintained, clean, above-average breakfast spread... Who could ask for more? Excellent value overall.Food & drinks: McDonald's is a stone's throw, pretty much everything else is a drive.

Good service. Continental breakfast was nice with lots of options (pancakes, waffles, sausages, eggs, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and more). The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were also clean and nice to use.My only cons were that the hallways are very dark/dimly lit and the parking area can be a bit dark at night.

5 stars for location bc I don t know much about the area and went about 20 min out for a wedding. Seems to be a lot around here but didn t spend much time in Rutland. Friendly staff. The first thing I noticed walking in was the old, outdated rooms. But I can handle that. However, even worse was that it had a funky, musty smell and the room just seemed damp. Instantly noticed. I thought it was my imagination that the carpet felt damp even. Husband confirmed and so did other reviews. I think a few upgrades may help a lot, and I mean that to try and help. The musty moistness of the room overall was a huge turnoff. So far bed seems decently comfy. It s just one night and other hotels were all booked, but these improvements can go a long way for the business to be successful.

The place is old and filthy. Hairs on the linen, crumbs on the floor, the "white" towels had turned dingy gray. Filthy elevator, squeaky everything, stale smell everywhere. There seems to be a shortage of hotels in the area, so the price is also INSANE (early October). Probably worst per dollar value place I have ever stayed at, but to be fair, looking at other places the comparative price was not that out of wack, so can't blame the hotel for that. There is no excuse for the filthiness though

Stayed at this location for 4 nights. The area is not the greatest. The room was dingy and smelt bad. The carpet was disgusting and should be replaced. The bed was comfortable. The washroom was awkward and not easy to move around in. They only give you 2 towels and will not provide any room cleaning or service unless you leave towels in the hallway or stay longer. The breakfast was great, lots of variety. The worst part of staying there was the parking. This location shares a lot with other businesses, so in the evening, the chance of getting a parking spot was slim to none!

I decided to stay here because of the distance from the rutland fair. I had an amazing time here. It was nice to get out of work check in and head to the hot tubs and Pool to relax for the rest of the night. In the morning j went down for the free breakfast and they had some great breakfast options such as pancakes, waffles, Omelettes, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, cerea, muffins, and cinnamon rolls. I would definitely come here again.Walkability: Not too far of a walk from the rutland fair. There is a steakhouse and MCDONALD'S nearby for food there were a couple other restaurants close by but I don't remember the names.Food & drinks: They have vending machines just about on every floor but the vending machine on the first floor has better options for drinks and there is another vending machine with good snack options.

I ve stayed at this hotel before and it is clean, a perfect location close to thing, and very nice staff. I think this time I was in a room that was previously a smoker room. It had a slight old smoke smell and the bathroom was fairly small. But overall I would stay at this hotel again. Do be aware that the train tracks are right next to the hotel so if you are a light sleeper it might now be the best option.
