I don't know why, but I'm always nervous going to get my bike fixed. Maybe I fear that some sort of stereotypical schoolyard bully is going to come out of the shadows and laugh at my inability to take care of my bike or something.That being said, I always feel silly for being nervous after going to West Hill Shop. They are always so helpful and take great care of my bike. I always feel welcomed and never feel judged for asking questions.I'm very grateful that we have such a good bike shop in Putney.

Needed a part (specific tubeless tire) quickly and these guys had me rolling in no time. Nice, friendly, easy-going and just a great shop. If i am ever near you again, I'll be back.Thank you for the excellent LBS service.Order from here instead of the online spots - these guys are great.

Amy Caldwell is fantastic! I have had my Specialized Rockhopper 29 now for three months and have logged 1000+ miles, both on the trails of Putney Mountain, and, more recently, when Aiden helped me convert the mountain bike to a more hybrid bike, but getting clip in shoes with pedals that allow the cleats on one side, and have the normal pedals on the other. All super reasonable given Specialized deals. I never knew getting a top quality bike - from such a premium brand based in Menlo Park - could be so affordable and fun!The first time I was introduced to cycling was a commuter when I lived in the SF in the Mission and I would commute to my start up job in downtown. Terrible traffic, rude drivers, and even ruder cyclists. Amy and her team have changed my perception of the sport, and the people who participate in it!Eagerly awaiting ski season so I can get back into downhill skiing, and try cross-country skiing for the first time. The only downside is that in NE they call them "mountains" but after skiing at Alta, Jackson Hole, Northstar, Heavenly, and hands down my favorite, Squaw Valley, the resorts here are a let down. But that just gives me incentive to return home to CA next winter!

Great shop with great service. I just moved here and they put some bikes back together that I had shipped. They got them done in just a couple of days and they were perfect. They let me borrow a helmet because my gear hadn't arrived yet. Really nice people. I also bought some x country skis and they were super nice while helping me figure out what I needed. Very glad they're my new local bike shop.

These guys (and gals) are the real deal! Outstanding customer service and superb mechanics/sales associates. I live about 25 minutes south of the shop, but frequent the shop on a regular basis for my biking needs. They take the time to make sure the CUSTOMER is happy and leaves satisfied. I recently purchased my first road bike from them, and they have been nothing but helpful with fitting and tips on making my ride enjoyable. I highly recommend West Hill Shop. By far the best bike/ski shop in the area. They will have my business for life.

I had the pleasure and good fortune to meet Todd Miller at West Hill for a bike fitting. Todd is a consummate professional who not only works with you on fitting but also ensures any areas of discomfort while riding are addressed. Todd provided an excellent fitting after years of frustration getting my position sorted. In addition, he gave me tools to utilize at home to ensure continued improvement in my mobility and overall physical conditioning. This is the best investment anyone riding a bicycle can utilize to ensure optimal positioning and in my case, comfortable riding.

The run off knowledge of this crew alone is enough to merit five stars. Genuine shop with a love of what they do. Upgraded my gravel and skate ski rigs with ease.

What a great shop! They are the best. I brought in a high-end boutique downhill bike with a serious problem and they took care of it with ease, in under one hour, and for a very reasonable price. Could not be nicer guys. The place oozed with expertise. I will use them again and again.

Outstanding bike shop for service and sales. I have had many consultations with David on building up my own bike, and, as a result of his knowledge and help ordering parts and tools, the assembly project went extremely well and I learned lots. We are buying an eBike from Kirsten and she is sharing her wealth of knowledge on selection and outfitting for our needs. I have had three bikes tuned up with various rotors replaced and hubs cleaned up, and every time they give the extra effort to find something I missed or suggest a better way to keep things running smoothly. And of course they follow good Covid protocol throughout the shopping and drop off/pick up process. It is well worth your time and money to handle all your cycling needs with a great local shop like this.

I needed an ebike tune up and Zak did a great job. He s enormously skilled and super helpful.Update: about a week later I returned to have Zak try to remedy some gear skipping and front wheel noise on another ebike. He and Pip did the needful and I was back on the road with the gears perfectly adjusted and the front wheel riding quietly. Thanks West Hill! What a great bike shop!!

I have been taking care of customers for 41 years in the automotive business. To find a place who really cares and after the sale will take care of any dislikes. They are the best. Thanks to the full team at west hill shop

No better bike shop anywhere I have ever been. The mechanics have detailed knowledge of frame materials and construction. Sales lady has impressive knowledge of bike characteristics vs riding styles.Great people, great place.

I'm a regular at the shop, and everyone at West Hill is amazing. They offer great products and outstanding service. I damaged a rim last summer just before a race, and they got me all fixed up on the same day! You can't go wrong with West Hill!

I bought a bike here. I am being generous on the stars. Trying to take the pedals off the bike, which should be relatively easy, was not. The person who put the pedals on put them on wayyyyyy to tight and ultimately ruined the pedal and the metal part that shouldn't be rounded off. Also, their new hours don't help people who work during the week. The service guy is busy, understandably, but he can lay off on being rude when trying to explain bike things.

Kirsten was unbelievably kind and extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping me with gear to get back into Nordic skiing after many years. As a plus size, fifty something woman, I have been intimidated in asking about equipment at other businesses, but Kirsten was so affirming and encouraging. I am so glad to have found a judgement-free source for both Nordic and biking. I will definitely be back, often!

Bought a new bike from them. They include free service for year. Bike had a few problems and they always made sure worked well, and got to it quickly. Very pleasant staff, owners, and pleasant environment. Thumbs up.

Never have I been disappointed with the service. Just the other day the bike mechanic dropped everything to look at my bike. Not only did he quickly repair a rear skewer issue, but replaced my chain without me having to leave the bike. Great crew!

I drove 90 miles round trip to get my mountain bicycle rebuilt at the West Hill Shop. It was worth every mile. They are fantastic! Why let some kid destroy your thousand dollar bicycle when you can get it serviced by pro's. And; if you have an old favorite clunker, they will pull it apart, and put it back together. Do yourself and your bicycle a favor, drive to Putney, VT.

Great bike shop but pops up they carry Boost Mobile and they actually do not. Just a heads up for y'all. Super friendly staff and will be back for bike purposes.

I drive from a town with 2 bike shops to get to West Hill because they are more concerned with customer service than how big their ear lobes are. You know what I'm saying.
