The hotel was ok but the restaurant in the Castle was phenomenal and perhaps, one of the most incredible meals I have ever eaten. Five stars for the food and the presentation. I had Beef Wellington and the steak was tender. The mushroom wine sauce was amazing and everything melted in my mouth. There were a variety of veggies and although I wanted to focus on the main dish the vegetables were delicious and couldn't be ignored. It's a long trip from Boston but worth the food and the ambiance of the original Victorian furnishings. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a meal like that.Rooms: Standard rooms and perhaps in the need of some updating.

If you stay here make sure to bring snacks and drinks. Not a big selection in the vending machines. Room was clean ,there was a nice fire place down by the front desk. Only problem was that it was small and full of people.

Complete bait and switch, the website shows pictures of their sister location up the road. During our stay the hot tub was out of order, it was half the reason we chose this place. For the price you pay it would be reasonable to expect breakfast which they provided but only for the motorcade tour group that pulled in the same night as us and they rented out the whole cafe. The pool was nice and the rooms were clean but those are the only positives. For their price you can get a much nicer stay anywhere else.

Booked when my wife and I decided to take a spontaneous road trip for her birthday. The pictures made the place look amazing, but be aware, these pictures are mostly of the restaurant and spa, the rooms themselves have around the same quality of your typical motel 6 ( not knocking motel 6, just not what we were expecting). Unfortunately our room also smelled like cigarette smoke (which my pregnant wife was not happy about), and we were right next to the doors. With the walls being as thin as they were this meant we were woken up every time someone went out for a smoke, which was often.

This is an expensive hotel in a rural area with nothing around. Bad combination. You would think they should at least try to make it nice.Wrong. Dirty carpet in the room inadequate lighting in the bathroom and broken shower. Hospitality at its best. You are certainly NOT a winner.Rooms: Dark and depressing.Walkability: To nowhere.Food & drinks: None.

For the hotel, not the resort. I don't understand the low ratings unless there has been a recent renovation. Our group had a king suite, a king single and a queen double. All of the rooms were updated, nicely furnished and super clean! The suite with full kitchen was spacious and comfortable. Everything you need to prepare simple meals is provided. Big table for eating and board games. Comfy chair and couch. TV and gas fireplace. Extra blankets and new pull out sofa.Lots of convenient parking, and a wonderful, friendly, helpful staff.Highly recommend.

Comfortable beds, great location. The carpet is dated but clean. I had to cut my trip short due to a big snowstorm and I didn't want to drive back home in the middle of it. We didn't get to use the pool or hot tub. We will definitely return for a long weekend stay.Rooms: Clean, comfortable beds, spacious, there is a mini refrigerator with a freezer.Nearby activities: A short drive to Okemo Mountain.

The room was clean and spacious and quiet. The bathroom was clean and the towels were nice. For the price paid, I would have expected breakfast. The room was also lacking a desk; there was only a side table which was not very conducive for serious work. I would stay here again if the price was lower or they had other amenities like a fitness center or spa or something.

Confusing place. Is there a restaurant ?? Can we access the pool or can't we? Is there room service or ANY service, for that matter. Absolutely no directory or informational sheet or ANY information about the place in the room. How to use the fireplace?? How to use the Jacuzzi? How to gain entry to the pool? How to get enough towels & linens for all of us, where to get a cup of coffee, where is a close by restaurant??? Does Housekeeping show up daily??? (They certainly do NOT) NOTHING at all to help a first time Family here. The website is VERY DECEIVING !! Makes it look like they have a Restaurant (they do) and Room Service and a Coffee Shop, both of which they do not. We were really really hungry and really really disappointed . P.S. NO fast food or groceries nearby .Bring food !!!!!

We had a one bedroom with a living room and a full kitchen. The pool and hot tub was really nice to have after a day of skiing. Location was great 10 min away from everything we wanted to do. Would definitely stay there again.Nearby activities: Okemo ski resort was close to the Hotel. Bars and Restaurants, Stores also close.

Going to only give 3 stars because they need to do something to notify people there is NO FOOD SERVICE in the building still and they need to replace the wood-like mattresses. The room we were in was immaculate and huge. It was a 1 bedroom suite with living room, dining area, and a full kitchen, separate bedroom and had a washer/dryer in room. Jetted tub and a great fireplace. Everyone we encountered with the staff was very friendly. It would have been nice to know they were under construction before we arrived and know the game room wasn t open too. Otherwise was very pleasant place to go.

I'm really confused by the high rating on this place. The place is rough. It's a 2 star hotel at best. I had to use my whole body to jam our room door closed and pull it open and you have to play with the lock to get it to turn. It's spacious, but not clean, and missing many amenities that are common at other hotels. I can imagine this place was really something in the 70s, it has a cute little rumpus room, for instance, but it hasn't seen much love since then. There is blood on the ceiling, hair stuck in the paint on the walls, drawers that don't close and their version of an "accessible" tub is a hot tub you have to climb into with the jets turned off. The tub walls are so high, I can barely get in the shower. My 70 year old mother can't. The people who work here are exceptionally nice. That's why it got 2 stars, not 1.

Generally very nice. Good staff. Rooms comfortable, beds very good. No musty smell, heat was efficient and warmed the room quickly. Only complaint would be that the bathroom was pretty small ... our room could (nominally) have had 4 guests (2 queen beds), but the bathroom felt crowded with one person. Did not use the pool or spa services. No food service at this time.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I think we hit them at the end of the summer season, so there wasn't much going on. The restaurant was closed, the mattress needed replacement and almost all of the electrical outlets were loose (wouldn't hold a plug). Our stay was generally comfortable but the hotel lacked some basic amenities.

The weekend buffet breakfast was absolutely crucial to a good ski weekend, we didn't find out about it until we checked in. We got a king suite, and it was very roomy! Loved the fireplace, wish we had brought groceries for the full kitchen, but nearby food options were also phenomenal.Nearby activities: 10 minutes from Okemo!

We went after ski season so got a good deal on our room. Full kitchen, separate bedroom, living room and a dining table for 4. Room was clean , staff were helpful. Still due to lingering covid issues they were not cleaning the room everyday but we only stayed a few days so that was not an issue to us. They mentioned the did a remodel and it looks like it. Would recommend this place. My only complaint is i also think the beds needed to be replaced as it was a little uncomfortable.

I am not sure why this hotel has so many good reviews. The hotel needs to update their pictures online, because it is very deceiving. I was expecting a lot nicer. Everything is a bit run down and needs updating. The pool area from the pictures looked really nice but in person it is not very nice. There was paint peeling from the ceiling and I was just waiting for it to drop in the pool. The rooms were ok, but the beds were uncomfortable and everything was outdated. To top it off they charged my card twice for my stay and I am still waiting for my refund days later. Spend your money elsewhere.

The suite was spacious, clean, and had everything you needed for the most part. They even provided sponges and dish soap! The bathroom was well stocked. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and nicely heated. Plenty of parking. The lack of a continental / hot breakfast was a bit of a letdown but that's why we got the suite to grab stuff at Shaw's.

The front desk people were helpful, but if everything was right there was no need for me to talk to them. No room service for the 5 days that we stayed. There were no appointments available for massage. The heat in the room wasn t working even after they came and reset it. Over all you can definitely experience an amazing ski trip because the room was cold. Oh I almost forgot if you need clean towel you need to walk to the front desk and ask.

Stayed here two nights for my partner's mother's birthday. The room was plenty large enough, clean, and had a neat forest view. The staff was very friendly. The pool and hot tub were clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was nice, but I felt they should offer more free options. They introduce you to the sections and tell you "everything past the yogurt you have to pay for". So basically, you get cereal, some pastries, and yogurt. The view of the mountains in front of the hotel is phenomenal. There is a beautiful creek that was running right next to the hotel while we were there, but it had just rained. I'd stay here again, most definitely!
