Stereotypical used car salesman, claims vehicle has 90 day power train warranty, bring truck to him with transmission issues in 1st 60 days, has the truck for over a month and a half, claims truck is fixed, drive it home still doesn't shift correctly, leave him a message stating I am bringing it to my mechanic, my mechanic shows me all they did wrong then fixes it, I bring Glenn the bill and he tells me he has no clue what I am talking about. He is a crook and if you're smart you won't bother to pull in there.

I have been getting cars from glen for years. He has always been more then fair and very kind every visit. One time I bought a car and the battery died 4 months after and glen put a new one in at a discount price for me with no warranty cause he cares about his customers. If you need a used car glen is the man to see to not get ripped off.

Last year I bought a Toyota with high mileage for way too much money. I was desperate and should have done more research about market prices. He told me the only issue was that he just got the car in and hadn't had a chance to repair the exhaust. "Bring it in whenever you can and we'll fix that right up for you," he said. After weeks of him giving me some sob story about how one of his mechanics left, he finally gets my car in to repair the exhaust. I drive it off the lot and in less than two weeks the exhaust is hanging off the car again. I bring it in again, he doesn't apologize, and I let him know the battery needs to be replaced as well, and the front brakes/rotors are shot. I also tell him that I had the oil changed and one of the technician noticed an oil leak. He fixes the exhaust (again) but tells me they tested the battery and the brakes and everything is fine.I drive off the lot and get up to about 50 mph when the hood flies up into the windshield, and a battery charger flies out from under the hood and skids across the road. Myself and other drivers could have been seriously hurt. Not only did he not apologize, but he continued to deny that my battery needed to be replaced (Despite the random men he has tinkering with his cars having to jump start my car in the lot after my near accident). He denied that any of his mechanics could have possibly left a battery charger attached to my car, and if they had, I should have noticed that the hood wasn't latched. Later that day I paid $120 for a new battery that AAA delivered to me after I broke down again. 1 year and several thousand dollars of my money in repairs later, I owe 3 times it's worth on a car that is unsafe to drive, and cannot pass inspection.Do not under any circumstances buy a car from this lying, cheating, horrendous excuse of a person or "business" no matter how desperate you get. The reviews speak for themselves. He buys vehicles at auctions for pennies that have irreparable internal damage but look decent on the outside, then turns around and sells them to people with no other option for 3 times market value. He promises a "warranty" or "service contract" that he never intends to uphold, or will do such terrible work that you'll be afraid to let him touch it at all.

He's a very nice guy who seems honest and will help you in any way! My parents are going back over to buy a van from Hartleys. My parents did buy the 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. They love it! So do I! I'm hoping in a couple of years, I'll hope to buy one too!

Owner is a loud mouth A**hole treating customers as if he knows everything, raising his voice when proven wrong. Obviously he tries to swindle and take advantage of customers. Both vehicles I test drove off his lot had several problems that he thought was no big deal, uninspected, and excuse upon excuse for the malfunctioning vehicles. Showing interest in one of the vehicles, ready to make a purchase, he tried to low ball my vehicles trade in value based on HIS opinion, unconcerned with Kelly blue book value. I recommend only going here if you enjoy being taken advantage of by an arrogant know it all...

I've been getting auto service at Glenn's auto, for years. I always get charged a fare rate and get very prompt service. There isn't a long wait period. Glenn and his auto machanics are always very friendly and informative. I've recommended them to friends and would recommend Glenn's Auto to anyone.

I bought a car from her for 9000 it broke in a year I drove it to work part time. The air Conditoner broke in a few months 1100 dolor fix. The engine constantly got so hot that my car would stop in middle of traffic. And they say they have a year warnty every time I brought my car over they said nothing was wrong brought it to a real macanic and 2700 of problems. I sold as parts cause it had some original parts from the car that where good and got 1100 for it bought a new care from a real auto shop the car has lasted be for 2 years cost me 8000. Have had no problems with it and love it. I have drivin it to my full time job and to college back and forth. Never get a car from here. If you go to auto mechanics in Colchester Burlington andEssex they always say this place is a scam.

Son bought a car paper said one price but went to sell it and found out he owes twice what the paperwork said. Con artist does not tell you everything.one other thing he probably pocketed the down payment. That never made it to the bank.

Worst place to buy a car in vt, hartley lies and says he does body work but when you find something wtong with the vehicle he denies that he fixed it or will not fix it without more money. I just recently purchased a silverado, drove it for 3 months found out the frame was rotted, all of the patch work he did started to fall or peel off. Hes a real slimeball, BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!
