I had a flat tire upon arriving near Middlebury for vacation from Baltimore. Luckily, I carry a portable compressor in my car and was able to fill the tire, but it was losing air at about 1 psi every 5 minutes. After doing a Google search, I settled on Tim's Garage because of all the detailed 5 star reviews, especially from out of town strangers! So I called Tim's first thing Monday morning (today), explained my situation and Tim explained he was very busy, would do the best he could, but might not get to it until tomorrow, which was fine with me. Lo and behold, they called around 2:30 p.m. with the news that my car was all ready. I know a flat tire isn't that big of a deal, but when you're far from home and have ANY kind of car trouble, it is a big deal when you don't have someone to turn to. Well, I can certainly attest that Tim's Garage is the safe haven for car trouble near Middlebury, Vermont. You can believe all of the various reviews. And when I brought my car in this morning, they certainly were very busy, which is a good sign of a quality business. Plus they are very nice people! Thank you, Tim's Garage!Service: Tires

This place is great! I was in Vermont recently for a trip and had some car troubles, the gentleman who assisted me, (who I assume was Tim himself) was very helpful and even diagnosed my issue on the spot! He then called around at a few local shops and was able to find one that could have the part for me the next day. Thank you Tim's!

Tim and his wife are really nice, and he seems trustworthy and fair. At one time my brake caliper was seized up and he took the time to unseize it instead of just insisting on a new one since I was tight on money. Tim and Debbie are always clear about the work to be done (they work on both of my cars) upfront about cost and get the work done when agreed. Pleasant, personable and trustworthy. I wholeheartedly recommend Tim's Garage.

Tim was a life-saver. My 2004 dodge ram had an engine problem that auto zone said was a coil replacement. He took my truck in even though he had no time because I needed to get to westerly RI tomorrow. He did that and detected a problem with the rotors which I confirmed and replaced rear pads, rotors and calipers, noticed antifreeze leaking and then replaced water pump ..all today and all reasonably priced after consulting me. I was traveling from illinois and lucky to go there.Ps. He has 23yrs experience working at the Chrysler plant.

Friendly, and honest service! Window wasn't rolling up, and ended up just being a switch. A less honest mechanic could have said it was the motor and charged more. Will definitely go back when my car needs service again.

Honest capable and affordable. What else could I ask for. He now does all of the work on both our car and truck.His advice has been on the money every time. We refer all of our friends to him. The only downside is that word has gotten out. He is always busy. He needs to work 80 hours a week or hire some help.

Staff was very polite and got me in for a same day inspection. Had a plate light out and instead of failing me they just changed it out on the spot for a few dollars. Definitely coming here for all my inspection and mechanic needs.
