Perfectly wonderful state park in Vermont that offers camping and has a gorgeous emerald-colored body of water to frolick in!! The water is stunningly emerald green colored and has a nice little trail to walk along the shore.

Absolutely gorgeous! Workers are very happy and helpful. Campsites are big and nicely separated. Restrooms are clean. Showers don't have very warm water.

The nature walk was awesome! We enjoyed spending some time at the beach too. Always great to be in beautiful surroundings.

Hottest water of any shower I have ever had at a state campground. There may be black bears stealing your food. Wouldn't go out of the way but would stay there again. Site 41 is rather large and as far as campgrounds go fairly private.

A cute park but entrance for cars was closed, so we have to walk.

I liked it so much I ended up staying an extra day! They also have lean-to spots. Very nice RV spots that have space between them. Checked out the beach, very clean and the water is a pretty emerald green!!

Beautiful lake with great hiking trails. Very clean facilities and friendly staff compliment a gorgeous mountain side campground. Sandy Beach with a playground too. Spacious sites allow for many tents and not feeling crowded even when at full capacity.

This park is well worth it.It's a small Mt lake in VT, that brings with it a state park. Boat rentals. I went hiking today, before you enter on rt 7 north. There is a old none maintained road. I found several water falls as well as great wildlife.

It s was ok!until the staff people are being sorude to us!especially the very tall white girl there!coming from nowhere and start screaming on us that she said she can t handle my 2 small dogs barking!they don t know how to communicate and the other staff told us that the dogs are not allowed close to the beach but we saw people bringing their dogs close there in water! there s no lifeguard also so it s basically not a good place to swim for those people that doesn t know how to swim in fact I almost drawn saving my husband granddaughter cause she went to far cause of the wave and she was on donut floating and noLifeguard to ask for help so I have to do it my self!

Such a friendly staff! So helpful and the wood bundles are decently sized!Overall, the campground was clean and quite scenic. The lake was beautiful! We stayed in Area B at the Sycamore lean-to. My only complaint is that the tent camping sites were very close to the road so there wasn't much privacy. If I had to choose again, I would stay in the Hawthorne lean-to (pictured) since it was further from the road and had a nice overlook.

I would give this 4 or 5 stars but the trail above the parking lot is poorly maintained & the rules are not enforced. The lakeside upper trail markers are easy to miss and my husband took us bushwhacking. We re experienced hikers too! The trail over the railroad is much easier to follow. It says no dogs but they were everywhere. On paddle boards & on the beach & off leash. The plus side is the kayak rental folk are super nice. The bathrooms are clean. The lake is shallow and great for swimming & wadding.

Went in August 2021. Loved the campsites and campground, everything is beautiful. The lake is really nice for swimming. It s nice that most of the sites aren t a far walk from the bathrooms! Planning to camp there again in July 2022!

Great spot for little kids! Very clean and not too busy. The snack shack and boat rental people are nice and efficient. Definitely pack your wagon/stroller. It's a bit of a hike from the parking lot to the beach.Playground: Small but well maintained.Restrooms: Basic but clean and well cared for.Dog-friendliness: No dogs allowed in the beach area.

A real winner on the east coast. Cheap, clean, friendly, forests, fresh water source every 20 sites, trails, amazing swimming lake and the best rope swing for all ages 5 and up.

During Summer Covid, this place was refreshing and open when all other places were closed. People were respectful and kept their distance. Everyone wanted to cool off, and we're thankful it was open.

Great camp ground and very pretty. Also easy to find but I think the actual park is small but it could be because we didn t find the right stuff.

our first time camping with a trailer and the kids! the sites are big, varying in benefits, and have excellent outdoor cooking facilities! the staff are terrific and keep the sites cleaned, facilities kept in clean conditions. the beach and swimming is only beaten out by the scenery! thanks ELSP staff for a wonderful vacation.

We went to the day-use area of the lake on a weekday. It's a gorgeous lake, the beach was easy to get to from the parking area and there were a decent amount of picnic tables available.I did not previously realize how close this area is to a main road. The street noise is amplified by the lake surface... wow. Just not as peaful as I was expecting, not much anyone can do about it but if I was planning a trip back I might do more research to find a more secluded area that might be available to day-use patrons.Otherwise, the park was very clean and well-kept!

Great Campground and Day Park Area with beautiful crystal clear lake. Campground is well kept and managed. I come here at least once a year.

Great park with lot of accommodations. People working there are kind and helpful. Security is top and you have the liberty to come at whatever time you need if you want to do something in town before going to bed. The park is great and my dog had a wonderful time swimming

Great place. More family oriented. The lake was warm I the summer and you could walk to the island in it. The campsites were spread out enough to have some privacy.Restrooms: The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Not fancy, but good for camping.

This place is amazing! One of my favorite spots. Their must be 3 different kinds of owls that live there. You ll hear all of them when you go.
