This is a roadside gem in the cutest town! I posted pics of our room. Very retro and very large. Room was incredibly clean. Small world! The owner Mike was originally from my hometown area and graduated the same year as ne (different schools). He also knew my best friend. We are from Indiana, mind you. Great stay, great people, great inn.

Just got home from our very enjoyable 5 night stay at the Toll Road Inn. The owners, Mike & Virginia were very friendly & informative. The rooms were very clean as were the rest of the hotel and grounds. Beds were very comfy and the view out the window of our King room was very relaxing, especially the sound of the babbling brook out back. The pool & hot tub came in quite handy, as did the complimentary coffee day & night. We put our discounted tickets to the Dorset Theater & Hildene Lincoln Family Home to good use. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Clean, spacious rooms with modern decor. Very comfortable, extra large bed with soft pillows, felt like being home. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and flexible with our arrival time and made our checkin and checkout easy. Great location with plenty of choices for dinner. We ate at Pearl's Place and Pantry less than .25 mile away. Dutton Farm Stand is close by and they also sell a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, craft beers and wine. We had to wake up early and it was nice the Toll Road Inn had a "serve yourself" coffee station in the atomic era lounge, which we loved.Wish we were able to spend more time at the Toll Road Inn to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the property, the pool and jacuzzi. Can't wait to visit again, this is on our way to Kingdom Trails and it's the perfect midpoint rest stop. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

This hotel is a gem. The rooms & bathroom are SPOTLESS! If you care about cleanliness, this is the best I've ever seen. Also, the bedroom is HUGE with great privacy, and is quiet. The beds are the MOST COMFORTABLE we've slept in, and the pillows are perfect. Not too hard, tall or soft. Big closet for clothes, portable luggage rack, and an area by the door for ski bags, and jackets. There is a large full bathroom with a 6' long tub - had restorative soaks after days on the slopes - and there is an extra sink outside the bathroom which is super helpful. The spacious fridge in the room was PERFECT for breakfast stuff and take-out leftovers, and the microwave in atrium was perfect to heat stuff up. the atrium has a VERY COOL 360 degree fireplace, and 24 hour coffee/hot chocolate bar - perfect for when we got back from skiing. Ice machine in lobby easily accessible, and the little goodies the owners leave in the room upon arrival are so THOUGHTFUL & YUMMY. And the hot tub is HEAVEN! Pool looks GREAT for summer fun. The owners are SUPER friendly, helpful, professional, and accommodating. Right across from Bob's Diner, & easy drive to Bromley Mountain, Magic Mountain & other slopes. In the opposite direction, it's close to cute villages of Manchester & Arlington for fun shopping and lots of cool restaurants. Can't RAVE enough about this gem of a hotel. We are already planning our next trip.Rooms: The rooms & bathroom are SPOTLESS! If you care about cleanliness, this is the best I've ever seen. We stayed there during our family vacation. The Inn is conveniently located, a short drive to many attractions, including the Appalachian/Long Trail, Mount Equinox Skyline Drive, downtown. The room was clean and comfortable, the kids had a great time at the pool and we enjoyed the hot tub. We will definitely be back for our winter ski trip.

There is also a fireplace for make it even more charming.Additional there is a coffemachine for a minimal breakfast. The location is also very nice: 5' from manchester center and 5' from the nearest hike - perfect!Would love to stay there again

We were on a motorcycle ride in Vermont came across the Toll Road Inn, stopped for the night. The inn is very nice and clean. The rooms are huge, beds very comfortable, the grounds are nice to walk around and relax. The owner who just bought the inn in February was very nice and informative. We will definitely stop there again and we will also recommend it to all our friends riding through Vermont.

Only 20 minutes from Stratton mountain! We arrived past 10pm so it was past the check in time so the owner left the key out for us on the desk. The rooms are very clean and cozy. There is also a nice fire place and sitting area on the first floor with a coffee machine that has many different types of coffee. The people here are very friendly and welcoming. Hope to be back soon.

Very clean and comfortable motel. Owner lives directly at the motel. Manor is in very good shape; one can directly see that the owner puts a lot of work into the building and the gardens. Location is directly at Otter Creek. The room was very big, very comfortable and very clean. Direct view on the river. All in all a very convenient motel. Open fire place in hospitality room, hot tub and outdoor swimming pool available.

This hotel was perfect!! We chose this hotel on a whim, and were so pleasantly surprised. This is a family owned hotel, operated by the owners. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable! The grounds are very well kept. The pool is beautiful and private, and there is a hot tub. We drove around Stratton & Bromley mountains which are right up the road. One gorgeous room has a beautiful center fireplace...it is summer now...but I can imagine the fire burning in the winter. They offer a continental breakfast, but right across the road there is a nice, inexpensive diner we walked to for breakfast every morning. We love supporting small business owners, they are the backbone to the community!! Our son just moved to the area, and we will stay here on our visits!!

Our stay in this motel was by far the worst experience I've ever had in my life at any type of lodging. I stayed at Toll Road Inn for 2 nights in early October. On the morning before checkout, I noticed bites on my arm, and quickly discovered that in fact my whole body was covered in 100+ bed bug bites, including bites on my face. Prior to this, I'd noticed a bug crawling on the pillow of one of the two beds in the room on our first night. There is no doubt in my mind that there is a serious infestation, at the very least in the room that we stayed in (107).The worst part of the experience was when went over to the front desk to report the issue - we were met with INCREDIBLE hostility unlike anything I'd ever experienced. The owners yelled and berated us for about 10 minutes claiming we were making it up; when I showed them the bites, they told me I "probably has some problem". They claimed to have never had bed bugs before, therefore it was impossible to have them now, which is truly an illogical and bizarre statement. We realized it was futile to reason with the owners and decided to get out of the situation and the motel ASAP. The hostility ruined most of our morning and I've had trouble sleeping on several nights since then, due to fear and worry. I've had to wash all of my belongings multiple times in high heat. I confirmed with a dermatologist that my 100+ bites were bed bug bites.Last but not least, they advertise "Wireless Internet" on a big sign outside the motel - I presume this was some weird joke, as the internet is utterly unusable due to nonexistent speed.Absolutely do not recommend staying here if you care about your mental and physical well-being.

Check in was a little rough as there are no elevators and my wife is a heavy packer. Once we got to the room my wife was set off again by the lack of an iron in the room. A short time later we requested a roll away bed for our 15 year old. The owner provided it in short order but my wife was upset if the $15 a night fee. She demanded a receipt! Imagine a receipt for $30 fee! Lol... my son was not happy about the shaky WiFi signal. It is important to note that my wife appears to be entering menopause and my son is a moody teenager. I tried to explain to them that this isn t a Marriott. It is a privately owned motel that the owners seem to do everything from cleaning rooms to maintaining pool. They may be a bit rough rough around the edges but as someone who deals with the public all day it isn t a walk in the park! It is clean with comfy beds and beautiful scenery. I wouldn t hesitate stating here again.....

This was our third visit to Toll Road Inn, so we knew that the rooms were spacious but have not been recently updated, however this was fine with us as it was familiar to us and we were bringing our two 3 year olds. The grounds are scenic, it has a pool and the location is convenient. Upon check in we were told that we had better keep our 3 year old twins quiet, even though we hadn t even left the check in desk yet, and they were being perfectly behaved. This comment seemed unwarranted, but we took it in stride knowing we would be on the second floor. Our room had a very musty smell to it when we entered, so we tried to air it out the best we could. The next day we packed our belongings and decided to take a quick swim before putting the kids in the car for a long drive. At 10:30am BOTH owners came out to the pool to remind us that check out was at 11:00. We had plenty of time to change clothes and leave by check out. We are still shocked that they would treat guests, let alone returning guests, so rudely. We have never stayed somewhere where we felt so unwelcome, or seen such a lack of hospitality.

I m sure a lot of places are nice in Manchester, but I would never stay anywhere except here! The staff is absolutely amazing, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the rates are very affordable for the area. I came here a few separate times the past few months for business, and it was always a fabulous stay! I can t recommend it enough!

The owners were friendly, the rooms were clean, spacious and warm. During our stay, for being September (5-8) it was a bit chilly in the early mornings and it would have been nice if the heat was on in the breakfast room. Also, the sign by the road way should have had lights so it can be seen from a distance and not at the last second as there are no street light. The suggestion of Garlic John (Italian restaurant) and Bob's dinner were excellent choices as the food was great at both.

A clean and comfortable although quite dated looking motel. However the staff is friendly and the grounds are lovely. Felt like I was hanging out in someone's backyard pool than a motor lodge. Very close to lots of places to eat which is good because the breakfast is pretty blah. For a night, it was decent.
