Called Double G for an emergency repair while visiting Vermont from New Jersey. Staff were very friendly and able to see us a few hours after calling. The mechanic showed me the exact part that needed to be fixed. My exhaust was fixed in less than an hour and for a fair price. I was visiting Burlington for the weekend when my corroded driver side wheel bearing fell apart! Gary and the Double G crew are the best. My family has been going here for years. Super honest, and they always get the job done as efficiently as possible. My insurance quoted a new exhaust for 1000$, Gary welded it for 115$. My car always drives better every time I get it back from them. I always recommend Gary. Pro tip, get a beer from zero gravity next door, or a cocktail and bite from the great northern, and I can be your bartender.

Great service and great price. I had a major issue with my brakes and they were able to fit me in at short notice, diagnose the problem and fix it without trying to upsell me on more work. I would highly recommend them and will absolutely be going back for all my service needs

Great customer service, attention to detail and quality work! I m a semi elderly person that recently bought a used ride from ST.J with 60k on it / the engine blew at 65k / I was freakin because it was the first vehicle I ve bought since 06 and it was 15k ride / John and Amanda convinced me not to put on a helmet and barrel roll it down a hill and took time to explain my options. They helped negotiate with the warranty folks to get me a new engine/ I got it back yesterday and it s fresh as a daisy / heck I don t even need to turn off the heater passing or going up hills / keep up the good work Double G

I had a great experience going to Double G for about 2 years. The hours are good, the location is good, and everyone there was friendly and helpful. There are many qualities I like about Double G ....but in the interest of time and space, I will boil it down to 1: TRUST. I like working on my own cars, my old VW Super Beetle in particular, but when I couldn't handle the job myself I have gone to Double G.....and for many years. I have recommended the shop to at least 50 relatives/friends/acquaintances over the years and many have become regular customers. NO ONE has ever come back to me with a negative experience to complain about. I can TRUST that when I recommend this shop I can do so in good faith, knowing that John will be fair, thorough, and professional. What better recommendation could I give than to say, "I Trust Them?"

I've been really impressed with their ability to diagnose finicky issues. My car's electronic door locks weren't working on two of the five doors. John took a look, and thought it was a small lock motor unit that needed to be replaced. I was skeptical, but I authorized John to order and install the part. He was correct! Great to have someone who can diagnose these type of issues! I would love if they did auto detailing too as it's really convenient.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Oil change

These guys are amazing, no joke! My wife and I were traveling through town just before the 4th of July and had an issue with my front brakes. It was 3 p.m. on a hot afternoon and we'd already been turned away by five other garages. We called John and he told us he was busy but he knew we were in a jam and he wanted to help if he could. He told us to swing in and he would see what he could do to help. We drive over and he had us in and out in less than half an hour. What he charged us for the job was honestly, so much less than we thought and he wouldn't take a dime more. John and his crew are absolutely a class act at Double G. Burlington should be proud to have a great business like that in it! Keep up the great work you guys!

I was on a long road trip with Burlington as a stop point. On my way there I suddenly develop a bad brake problem. Despite being booked solid for the day, the folks at Double G Auot took my vehicle in, determined the issue, and had me safe to get back out on the road! Can't say enough about their service.

I completely trust Double G (G&G) for anything automotive that I can't fix myself. They go the distance in getting things done on time and done right. I'm a technician myself but in a totally different industry and the work that they do and the time expected to get it done is always as communicated to me and on point and usually under what I expected as far as cost.Special thank you to Amanda and John for outstanding service. I have and will always will recommend Double G to anyone asking for automotive repair. I was down on Shelburne Rd robbing a local bank when suddenly my get away car was only running on 2 cylinders.I pulled into Gary's yard and within minutes my car was inside out of sight of the heat with a diagnosis of a bad coil pack. Within minutes of the part arriving, I was back on the lam again in my now rejuvenated get away Hyundai at a very reasonable cut of the loot. No strong arming a guy down on his luck here!!It was a pleasure doing business with Gary and his associates!

BEFORE WINTER I brought my boyfriend's car there to have it looked at we were losing power in the engine it was sluggish. They told me ok that sounds like it's spark plugs. They kept our car ovn for just dumb spark plugs and I dropped my bf's car at 9am and got it back the following morning. Well, I pulled out and no sooner had I done that but I realized the issue was still there and unchanged. I pulled over and called them. They said oh well I guess it's the coil. So yet again another day of car rental because they didn't fix it. Then I get my bf and I's car back again and it seemed fixed until I got on the interstate. Well my car ended up getting in an accident and was hit in the driver door from something unrelated. Well I had the whole car looked at by a different t mechanics shop which will remain anonymous for their own safety. Well it turns out double g did not put in new spark plugs and they also did not do the coil. They CLEANED the plugs even tho it's such a cheap fix to just replace them. The spark plugs and coil ARE ORIGINAL to my car. I have all the receipts which show they said they put in new parts. I will also note that the first two times I brought the car there for an oil change and a control arm they asked me if I wanted to see the work and I said "no I trust you and I'm in a hurry." Well they knew I wouldn't look to see if the work was done. They say they replaced his passenger side control arm, it's not new either. So I brought my bf's car to have the winter tires put on they were NOKIAN studded Hakkapeliittas. That was before winter. I never really looked at them once they were put on but I did notice that they replaced the valve stems on the invoice. Which I thought was odd considering they were brand new tires. Well it turns out they stole our NOKIAN STUDDED HAKKAPELIITTAS and replaced then with cheap NORDMAN studded tires which were missing almost all the studs. What the heck. My NOKIANs were worth a lot, around 1000 for the set of four. I'm so upset. I actually bought them off a nice lady on Facebook for cheap but that is not the point. The point is that double g has alot of ppl fooled.They lied and while i don't know if it's one person being shady there or if it's the whole business, one thing's for sure I'm calling the state of Vermont because I don't trust them. They r the ones who inspected the car saying they worked on it and made it safe. How do I know if my car's actually even safe? The state of Vermont takes it very seriously when a shop is inspecting cars that aren't safe. I'm not going to let this go. Double g you owe me and my bf for the tires and all the work you lied and said you did. That totals up to 1700 bucks. Unless you'd like for us to bring u to court and sue you publicly and go to the news we want our money back IN FULL.We know we won't get our tires back but you owe us for a brand new set of studded hakkapelliittas which is a thousand bucks. And then you owe for the work you lied and said you did on my spark plugs my coil pack and the control arm you lied and said you did. I really think you owe us more than that considering that you stole from us. It's illegal to not actually render services and receive payment stating you tendered said services. Not only that it is normal for a garage to say oh that didn't fix it? Okay we will give u a discount, some garages wouldn't make u pay for it at all.I figured double g auto stole from us when I went to have my winter tires taken off and my summers put on. And that's when I brought it to another shop and had it looked at.I expect a response via Facebook since I have a new phone number and I am not giving that to you guys.Like I said you can either pay us in full in cash or we can go to BBB and dmv state of Vermont because inspecting unsafe vehicles is ILLLLLLEGAL. And sue you publicly. Not to mention all the customers who will probably figure out you've done the same to them.Not pleased at all. And my bf is having me handle this since you guys have made all this such a headache

Great auto repair shop!! I couldn't be happier with the repair work they did on my Sienna. It's driving like a new van, and it's 12 years old! Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

The owner of this establishment threatened my mother after refusing to give her a receipt because he can t afford the price of paper and then banned her from the establishment without giving any reason. When calling to follow up he refused to give a reason for the ban saying she s a little crazy . This man should not be allowed to own a business.
