Painless experience trading in my old truck for an outback. Fair trade in value and Tom treated me like a brother. Would send anyone interested in a new or pre owned car to this dealership. No pressure and the first honest dealer I have been to in many years.

This is my 2nd Subaru purchase at Brattleboro Subaru. Dan has given me excellent service in both of these sales. Without going into detail, let me just say, the owner and Dan went above and beyond to gain my business. I also have been very pleased with the service department. Brattleboro Subaru knows how to treat a customer and retain their business.

I've purchased two new vehicles through Brattleboro Subaru. In both cases, the process was incredibly stress-free because unlike other dealerships, the sales team is empowered to make you a good deal from the first moment you talk to them. They also are willing to treat you like an intelligent buyer - without all the shady techniques that other dealerships try to employ to get you to spend more money on things you don't need or want. When you buy a car from Brattleboro Subaru, you should still obviously do your homework to make sure you know what car you want and what is a fair price. In my case, I saw one they had on their website that was what I was looking for. It was listed with a decent discount already displayed. I had them add a trailer hitch and the deal was sealed very quickly.Brattleboro Subaru will follow-up with you after the sale as well. And, in my case even though I live across the river in NH, they still will help you with the initial details involved in registering, inspecting, etc.

Me and my parents recently bought Subaru crosstreks from Brattleboro Subaru and thus far are so happy with our purchases. We worked with Bruce Merrill for both sales and he was so helpful, kind and patient while I weighed my options. Will definitely be looking to him and Brattleboro Subaru for future car endeavors.

Horrible customer service. Inconsistencies every time I talked to them. Was told one thing in writing, then next time I am told the opposite. Then when they don't hear what they want to, they spam with phone calls, and texts, and emails every single day. Even had multiple different people writing to me from the same email address claiming they had no clue what the previous emails had stated. I strongly recommend avoiding. Any other dealer would be better and if you want a subaru just go to Steve Lewis Subaru, the extra drive is worth it to be treated decently!

Hands down - the best place to buy or lease a Subaru in Vermont! Ian was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in getting me into the exact car I wanted at the right price! Worth the trip!

I dread buying cars. So when I drove 90 miles to this dealership, because they had the car I wanted in stock, I was not expecting to enjoy it. Upon arrival my mood immediately changed. The staff was not pushy, was not hurried, and was extremely personable. I worked with Ian and Cole, both of which were extremely helpful and communicative. I had to do a lot of the process remote, and they kept very clear and open lines of communication. I almost wish I wanted a Subaru for my next car, for an excuse to go back. Brattleboro Subaru was my single best car buying experience, hands down.

The service was 5-stars starting with my online inquiry with Bruce Merrill, setting up a day/time to start my efforts to purchase my 5th Subaru. The salesperson, John McLean, was awesome. There was absolutely no pressure or rushing. John took the time to discuss what I wanted, the model and features, a very reasonable test drive, and the value of my trade-in. In this day of mega-dealerships where staff come and go, the Brattleboro Subaru staff have longevity and that speaks to leadership values and dedication to their staff and their customers.I wouldn't hesitate recommending Brattleboro Subaru to family, friends, and acquaintances.

I tried to deal with this place for parts, and never have I had more of a difficult time. From no one answering the phones to operators who just didn't care enough to do their job. If this is the way you're treated before you enter into their facility how will you be treated once you're in their facility. I told a manager my concerns not that I felt that that did any good. I called a different business and within 3 minutes they solve my problems and parts were ordered and I was a happy customer. I will not ever recommend Brattleboro Subaru!

Brought my car in for a starter replacement. Due to an online booking problem (quite possibly my fault) I did not have a scheduled appointment. The next available appointment for this service was 2 days later. Jordan, the service representative gave me a loaner car so I wouldn't have to make another trip to the dealer (40 miles each way). He also, without me asking, called Subaru of America and explained that this was my 3rd starter in 65000 miles. Based on this SoA covered the cost of the starter so that my only charge was for labor. A significant cost saving! This truly exemplifies the customer care policy of their service department.

They were really good about selling me a car, but afterwards they completely just refused to acknowledge my concerns about the unsafe tires, brakes, and transmission issues I suspected. At first they told me it had been test driven and everything was good, then I went back not even two weeks later to find the tires are unsafe, the brakes need work and my transmission seems to be failing. Because it's not a Subaru they are all but refusing to do anything even though I bought a full extended warranty. Its a KIA, if I had known I would've asked for a Subaru or just went to a KIA dealership.

Very nice and helpful staff that go above and beyond to assist you. I switched to them after being disappointed again and again by another Subaru Dealership. They have been a welcome change of pace from the service I was getting.

Terrible customer service. Story too long to write, suffice to say Tim, the service guy is nasty, and talks over others. When I dropped off car i was very clear that I could not take calls at work, communication would have to be text. Tim went ahead and called at least 3 times, hanging up once. He accused ME of taking advantage of THEM, not sure how I would do that. They refused to do a tune up after charging me over $2000 a few weeks back. This time they will not do anything because engine is "knocking". HE changed his mind many times about whether or not they would do tune up.Steer clear of this place, big ego at play here. If there were zero stars that would be my rating. The level of disrespect was astounding!Edit: the below response must be for readers of this review to make folks think they responded. Despite my calling, no one has reached out. They have now sent me a service update as if I would ever use their lack of services. They are relentless in keeping contact but not interacting. I have been asked to review this place 4 times (this being 4th)

The buying process was very good. Bill did a good job explaining features and we negotiated a decent deal. Customer service is solid.

I have leased 3 Outbacks from this dealer. Recently I had a blowout at the beginning of a trip. The Outback was 1 year old at the time. I limped back to the dealer on the donut in search of a replacement tire. They couldn t be bothered to help. They said they didn t have any tires that fit my car and suggested I call around. They wouldn t lift a finger for a customer who was driving his 3rd purchase from them. Never again.

We've had our Forester serviced at Brattleboro Subaru since moving to the area and can't express how great the team is here. We don't even live in VT but drive up from MA, that's how wonderful they are. We also just bought a new Outback from Brattleboro. Come here, it's peachy!

Paul was amazing! Never once pushed us to make a decision, he listened to what we had to say. He made sure we understood the whole process without making us feel stupid. This was my first dealership car and I definitely will be buying from Paul again. If I could give 10 stars instead of 5 I definitely would!

If I could give less than one star, I would definitely give less than one star.I've purchased my last 2 vehicles from Subaru of Brattleboro Vermont and has had trouble with both of them. Recently, I purchased a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder, and less than a month it was in the shop, having the sun roof repaired. During this repair Subaru was gracious enough to provide a loaner car even though it was being repaired at a Nissan dealership in another state to assist in our hardships for not having our vehicle, while the repair was being done.More recently, the Pathfinder has had problems with starting, it has been in for repairs for coming up on a month out of the last month and a half.We are not being offered a rental this time. The reason being that the car needs to be repaired at a Nissan dealership...and Subaru does not supply rentals for out of dealership repairs....although they did for the previous sun roof repair...they won't lend us a car even though they sold us a car which is now being in repair almost 2 months out of the 6 we have owned it..Discouraged I was reassured that either the owner or a member of the sales management would reach out to me and as of this time that still has not happened.***In response to the dealers response...Todd, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback about your experience with us.Per your lengthy conversation with our General Manager, John Sciacca and your mechanic the other day, the car has been driven over 30,000 miles and it has been almost two years sine your purchase of the vehicle.FALSE STATEMENT #1PATHFINDER SLAt purchase Odometer Reading.....60,561Current Odometer Reading.....68,487 (01/23/2024)Driven only 7,926 (a lot less than claimed 30,000)Vehicle Date of Sale....05/31/2023We are willing to offer "good will" help for your undercarriage repair that your mechanic explained, if needed.FALSE STATEMENT #2No good will or offer made or needed because undercarriage repair was not the problem. Maybe if Brattleboro Subaru read reviews better than they serviced customers....this would not happen. Please let us know if you want to take us up on our generosity. We feel badly that your 10 year old, 100,000 mile car broke but we don't feel responsible.FALSE STATEMENT #3PATHFINDER is 2020 4 years old not 10 years old, and driven less than 8,000 miles.... total mileage= 68,487 not 100,000. Your responsibility ended when you refused to work with me in finding transportation to and from work until the vehicle you sold me got repaired. That being said, you're still a valued customer here at Brattleboro Subaru thus our "good will" offer to help. Please feel free to reach out to John if you have any further questions.FALSE STATEMENT #4NUCAR NISSAN of SWANZEY NH did what subaru of vt would not. Realizing that a customer was in need of assistance while their product was getting repaired...NUCAR NISSAN of SWANZEY NH arranged for a rental car and fixed the car in a timely fasion.I do not consider myself a Valued Customer or Customer PERIOD of brattleboro subaru.Take a bucket of piss and call it Granny's Peach Tea; take your lack of customer service and call it good will. You won't fool a fly or me. I'm not gonna drink it.

I had to leave my car for a recall correction. The service department completed the job in the estimated time. I was given a loaner car to use while my car was being service. The people at the desk were very pleasant yet professional. It was a very good experience!

Terrible service. I bought a subaru as private sale and checked for recalls. I had a recall needing to be done so I brought the car to Brattleboro Subaru. The recall was in reference to control arms rusting and breaking. They said they did the recall and all was good, with the exception of a few marker lights not working. All of what they told me was a lie. My lights were working just fine and they didn't do the recall. My control arm broke in half less than 60 days after I got it back from them. Caused significant damage to the car because of thier negligence, and also put my life and my wife's life at risk when it broke on the 3 lane interstate at 70mph. Luckily we were able get to the side of the road safely. Subaru of America has reimbursed me for all of this admiting that Subaru of Brattleboro was at fault in this incident. It's worth the drive to keene, those guys are awesome! And no sales tax!

I always have great service at Brattleboro Subaru. The staff is always friendly, helpful and clear, and I have great confidence in the mechanics. A number of times they have fit me in when something unexpected happened, for which I am very grateful. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Dan Bacigalupo was our sales rep, and he was fantastic. Not only did he get us the best possible transaction for our new Outback, but went way above and beyond his responsibilities to make it work -- FOR US. Thank you Dan!
