I was told to get my car under coated, this place was the place that I was told to go. Funny enough, the person recommending this place would know what my car needs, as he's my mechanic. He said "My car is there right now, I'll be picking it up later from them, I don't do under coating here obviously, but for the amount You've got in this car, I HIGHLY recommend it." Trusting his judgment above all others, I called this place; the guy that answered sounded busy/bothered, I might have said the wrong words, or he just didn't want to be on the phone? I DON'T KNOW. I asked if I could make an appointment for under coating and he said "We're not doing that anymore." I don't know what else it is called, is there a different term I am unaware of? Maybe he just meant they weren't doing it for the rest of the season, or he meant he wasn't doing it and he's the owner, but my mechanic doesn't recommend places on a whim and years ago the places he recommended were great (those are under new/different management, 1 closed), the fact that his car was there at that moment, getting that very service rendered, I'm inclined to believe that 'gruffy' just doesn't want to do his job anymore so he didn't. He didn't elaborate, didn't offer suggestions of places that actually do MECHANIC work, was very quick to get off the phone, I didn't bother trying to ask questions because he was so bothered to have answered the phone. I'd have called back if he'd said (or even asked) to. I'm just trying to keep 4 wheels on the road, this place is supposedly a place capable (but unwilling?). This isn't the first time I was recommended to go here, the few times I have 'almost' done it (called them), this place suddenly doesn't do the work anymore. I thought, initially, that maybe it was because they were moving from the left side of Canal, where the apartments/co-op now sits. I needed some work (and a muffler), for a different vehicle; I called to see if they could schedule the work / replace a muffler and hangers that had rusted out (I had only managed to mention the muffler), at THAT time they'd said they weren't doing mufflers, since I needed brake work too, I didn't bother trying to mention I had more work to schedule, simply conceded I had to go elsewhere; I don't know how one becomes a customer here, but, in 20 years, I have tried to give them money/work on the suggestion/recommendation of others and alas, I will not bother calling any other time, I suspect the mechanics will suddenly no longer be doing mechanic work needed done . . .

An honest mechanic is hard to find these days and this is one! Other shops quoted much more and these guys took care of me and were honest. Would highly recommend.

Was quoted 1700 elsewhere in town, they fixed it for 90 bucks. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I went in for an estimate on some repairs and they were very thorough about the work that was going to be done. I bring my vehicle in next week. I'm sure everything will work out great.

Henry is straight forward and will work with you on timing if fixing can wait. He also looks for the best deals. Robert is extremely polite, kind and helpful. He taught me something that he didn't have to show me about my tire placement and went above and beyond.

Went to get my old exhaust replaced on my Lexus (old, not an easy car to work on). The entire staff was very friendly and efficient with time. They solved my issue as affordably as it could be done and with a long lasting fix. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing auto repairs. Good bunch of people working there.

This is the most honest car shop I know. They do great jobs to fair prices. I have never been disappointed with them. OK, sometimes things are not as simple as you think but when they see what's wrong they are very open about it and let you know in advance, if they can, what to expect. Yes, I had to leave a car there once because it was not worth it to have it repaired. They took care of details to have it scrapped. Nice place. I am sending my friends there.

They were able to inspect and evaluate muffler system and make recommendations right away, even on a Friday afternoon. Very nice people. Look like they have been doing this forever. Seemed very fair.

We were touring backroads of New England on the long weekend when we ran into problems with our exhaust system on President's Day. We pulled into Best Muffler & Auto Care Centre in Brattleboro, a 2011 Nissan sounding like a muscle car. Robert and Henry were fantastic. They called everyone to find replacement parts, and when they couldn't Henry made what was needed and for a really reasonable price. The job was so good the car was purring all the way back to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Amazing service. Thank you!

Was there today on a small job but found a few major issues. The mechanics at best muffler found the problem and quickly fixed it to make my vehicle safe and gave me confidence in best muffler to di the job right

These people really screwed me they didn't tell me that my serpentine belt was about to bust they didn't tell me that my front rotors and brakes were bad they also told me I didn't have an oil leak when in all reality I did and they didn't clamp the leak in my power steering so I went on the highway with my kids and the belt broke everything else went wrong I had to get it towed somewhere else and got it fixed for an even cheaper price
