Recently purchased our third Subaru, a lightly used Outback ,through these folks and was really pleased with their high quality of service provided by sales team member Tyler. He is very personable and professional. He provided me with sensible options within my price range and he and his team negotiated fairly when it came to financing. On top of that, he followed through with the promises he made to us after the purchase of the car like finding a cargo cover for the vehicle and ordering a complimentary WRX hat for my husband. Will buy another car through him and Lundgren again

I went to this dealership on Saturday, March 2, 2024, interested in a Subaru Forester. At first, the test drive went well and I was extremely interested in the car. However, things began to go downhill when I told the salesman that I was not prepared to sign any paperwork that day. Furthermore, the vehicle being shown had a large scratch on the side that went down to the metal. The scratch had not been disclosed in the advertisement in any way.After the test drive, the salesman became extremely pushy and aggressive about the sale, attempting to pressure me first into a monthly payment that was twice as much as I was comfortable paying for the car, and then into a monthly payment that seemed lower but had an extremely high interest rate. He undervalued my car's trade in value by half its worth and insisted that they were unwilling to pay any more for it (for reference, another dealership is buying it for its Kelley Bluebook value, double what Lundgren Subaru offered me) He asked me multiple times what he could do on his end to make me say yes that day, but when we insisted that my car was worth more, he insisted that it was not, nor was he willing to budget on the purchase price of the sale vehicle. At the end, he requested that I put down a deposit on the vehicle that would be valid for 24 hours. I asked what would happen at the end of the 24 hours, and he said that I would have to request to get my money back if I did not want to purchase the car. I told him 24 hours was not long enough to get my ducks in a row and he got "special permission" from his boss to extend the deposit time limit to 48 hours. I told him I was uncomfortable with putting down a deposit until I got a second appraisal on my car and he became very angry. I left the dealership with a sour taste in my mouth and with no desire to ever contact them again.Overall, my experience at this dealership made me extremely uncomfortable. I am grateful that I had a male member of my family with me, as I am sure that if I was alone I would have been treated worse. I deeply regret driving almost two hours to test drive one of their vehicles only to have such a negative experience. Would not recommend.

I have recently bought my second vehicle from Lundgren Subaru. My experience with Josh and team was excellent. Josh went above and beyond to get me into the vehicle I wanted. Thank you Josh!Now we need the service dept. to schedule the undercoat appointment !

I had a terrible experience at this dealership as I purchased a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek (Limited) Certified, My sales person was Betsy O Connell. I m not blaming her as she was good throughout the sale but I m BLAMING Chris Abbey for the handling after the sale!!!! After purchasing the car and driving 4 1/2 hours each way a couple of weeks went by after purchasing the vehicle and a winter commuter car. I was going to wash the car and get the bugs off of it and that s when I noticed the damage to the front of the car and this is where my review starts, So finding the damage and calling Betsy (she couldn t do anything) I was forwarded to Chris Abbey!!!!!!!! Before going any further I got an estimate of $980.00 give or take. Please note that this was sold as a Certified Vehicle and gathering more information about the car it was the dealerships loaner car and was never titled???????? Also getting the estimate at the body shop the adjuster noticed pieces of the grill in where the radiator is, so the vehicle was loaned out and had a new grill put in and no one knew nothing about it?????? But after presenting the estimate to Chris Abbey his answer was to pay for parts!!!!!! Around $327.00 this was unacceptable so I think I said No and I said let s try again. The best that they could do was 1/2 around $437.00. So I payed for a Certified Car at a Certified price and received a used car with front end damage on top of that I had to pay for half of the damage to the vehicle that someone did and they put a new grill in but no one noticed the damage to the nose. So at the end of the day just inspect what you are buying and I m saying go over it with a fine tooth comb. I feel I was taken advantage of as I paid a high price for a Certified Car ($1000.00 worth of damage) doesn t make it certified????? Subaru New England should take notice!!!!!! As we the people are the consumers we keep America moving ..

While recently shopping for a new Subaru Forester, we went to Lundgren Subaru in Bennington, Vermont where we worked with Perry Snyder. He was excellent! He was very helpful, provided excellent information, and was a pleasure to work with. We would definitely choose to work with him next time we buy a car!

I did my homework and received a quote from this dealer through my Sams Club Membership. Having that in hand, i went to the dealership and met with Joshua Scheffler. He showed me what was on the lot, and when i decided on the car i wanted, I gave him my quote with no problem. (I already test drove a Wilderness at another dealer who wasn't willing to deal.)Once the sale was finalized, i returned to pick up my new Subaru Wilderness and he gave me a detailed demo of all the bells and whistles. (I'm a senior and sometimes need a bit more "hand holding".)I have been buying cars for many years, and he was the best salesman I've ever dealt with - never tried to upsell me on anything. I had a bit of a problem later getting my phone to link, and he asked me to come back and took care of that for me and explained again how to managed all these new "extras' on the car. Very patient, very helpful! I'd be happy to refer anyone there.

I entered with a 2021 Crosstrek for a recalled component, walked out with a 2024 Crosstrek all thanks to Joshua! As much as i am not a fan of the car dealership purchase experience, i did appreciate the seamlessness and transparency of my purchase experience @ Lundgren. Joshua and his team were quick to answer all my questions and assured me i was receiving the best deal possible at the time of my purchase. The sales department staff feels more like a customer service department where everybody s looking to help. I recommend this place to all who have done their research and concluded that their offer price is as good as it gets for a new Subaru in our Subaru-heavy region

horrible experience! !!! i was lied to twice by the sales team the truck smelled like cigarettes. there detailing of the truck was discussing i asked before i drove 2 hours to go see the truck what the condition of the tires were in. i was tolled they were great! nope, they were almost completely worn. they didn't pass inspection in new Hampshire so they put an inspection. Sticker on the truck and it did not pass im tempted to report them to the state of Vermont i would definitely whould stay away the this place.

The best Subaru dealership around! I live in NY and originally ordered the identical car I purchased here from a different dealership in Albany. The expected arrival time of the car from Albany wasn t until some time late June, so I shopped around at other dealers nearby and I m so happy I did!! I was put in touch with, Ted Free, who is amazing, personable, and very knowledgeable about Subaru. He was able to process my entire requests and even finance me without my needing to travel all the way to him in VT. As soon as the car arrived, he let me know and I came right over to sign all the paperwork. Since I work, I wasn t able to get there until 5pm. Ted stayed after hours to make sure I was comfortable with the features of the car and knew how everything worked on it. Peter, the finance guy, was great too! He was very thorough and made sure I was given the opportunity to add anything I wanted before finalizing my purchase. I m happy he brought a few offers to attention I wasn t aware of and he helped me make the best decisions for me. Great experience and if and when the time comes, I d definitely do business with them again! Thanks!!

I recently purchased a 2022 Outback . The salesman, Chris Ducharme was extremely genuine and thorough in every aspect of the sale. He listened as I presented my comments and expectations making the sale very accommodating. Chris even took time the day after getting my car to arrange care for my vehicle concerning new leather alterations.I highly recommend you stop at the dealership and see witness how professional this business operates.Others on staff have an authentic sense of courtesy toward each other.Thanks Chris for your time and care to me making this investment enjoyable to the max!Joan McD.

My husband and I had an incredibly unfortunate experience with this dealership. We spoke to two different salesmen about a pre-owned vehicle that was listed on their website and neither of them shared the detail that the car couldn't be test driven due to a power steering issue. The salesmen knew that we were driving from nearly 3 hours away to test drive the vehicle, that we had been on the phone securing a loan for it the day before, and that we intended to drive it home that day. I asked every possible mechanical question I could and wrote down all the answers I received, I requested additional photos, discussed our loan options and plans in depth, and the fact that the vehicle didn't have power steering somehow never came up, nor was it listed on the website. When we arrived at the dealership, the salesmen who I spent half a day on the phone with the day before had the nerve to tell me that he had told me over the phone. If that were true, which it is not, it should have been made abundantly clear before we set out to see it. The mission took almost 6 hours, so my husband and I both missed out on work to see the vehicle. This was a deeply disappointing inconvenience for a 4 month pregnant woman in need of a family vehicle.

Excellent and fair from beginning to end; Chris Ducharme (salesman) was open to negotiating, kept me updated and was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend going to see chris at Subaru he s best. Treats you like family and keeps it real but definitely tries to get you the best deal. Ended up leaving with 2024 Subaru crostrex that I adore. Wouldn t have it without him thank you for everything!

I would imagine that buying your first vehicle could be stressful, but lundgren Subaru made it super easy and exciting! My salesman (now friend) Ted free, AKA The suby dude, made it a wonderful experience! Not only did he stay with me until I found the perfect fit, but also spent time making sure that I was comfortable in that vehicle. When I am ready for a new car I will be going back to lundgren Subaru to see Ted!

My wife & I initially had a really bad experience here. First with the salesman & then with the head of finance. After complaining & writing a bad review, the general manager Chris called us up to smooth everything over. He was very kind & apologetic & offered us some free oil changes for our trouble, and they ended up hand delivering the vehicle which was very nice

Overall my experience with Bennington Subaru was easy and pleasant. The dealership is welcoming, bright and clean. My salesperson Nick Gambardella was very knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. On my first visit looking specifically for a 2020 WRX, Nick had me test driving the exact Subaru I wanted within a matter of minutes. I did a little more research, but ultimately decided to go with Bennington Subaru because they had the exact car I wanted and were willing to work with me on the price in a very generous way that frankly was better than I expected. The Subaru financing was extremely competitive, and made my car purchase work for my budget. On my return visit four days later, Nick walked me through all the features on my car, connected my phone, and then got me through all my paperwork in about an hour. I originally drove about an hour to Bennington Subaru because they were one of the only dealerships that had the WRX I was looking for, but the quality of service, and pricing were so exemplary that I would recommend them to anyone, and will return when I need my next Subaru.

Best car buying experience! From the minute I called to the minute we were driving with our new car, our experience has been wonderful! :) We've worked with Teddy Free and he has been super supportive, his communication was excellent and it was a great pleasure doing business with him. What ABSOLUTELY makes this Dealership are people like TED FREE! I haven't met a more capable car salesman than THIS guy! He's personable, caring to the customer's needs, and gets the job done with honesty, integrity, and a genuine sense of what customer service is truly about. Three new cars in (2015 Forester, 2021 Forester Touring, and now a 2023 Forester Wilderness,) and this guy is STILL above board, with an EXTREMELY SOUND character to boot! TED FREE is the "genuine article" as they say. That doesn't mean he doesn't drive a hard bargain. He is a salesman after all. But he assuredly does his job with complete professionalism, and an honesty that lets you know he's not out to get you!!!! I HIGHLY recommend TED to anyone who's looking to feel absolutely GREAT about buying a car. He's trustworthy, dependable, and works extremely hard to get you in a vehicle you'll absolutely love!!!!!!Lastly, you'll enjoy dealing with Lundgreen's Service and Parts department. I honestly can't mention one bad experience, total professionalism all around in this place!

Nick, my sales associate, and this dealership are probably one of the most respectful and honest dealerships in my opinion.I probably contacted over 50 dealerships, nationwide and hands down this dealership gave me the fairest price without the hassle from the get-go. I have bought 4 cars here since 2014, and it s always been a positive experience. The last 3 I went through Teddy Free. He has always been fantastic to deal with, and even helped me save a significant amount on my insurance by getting me set up with a new broker. My most recent purchase took place after the transition to Lundgren, and while there were some changes in procedure, they have kept the best aspects in place: great customer service and attention to detail. It s worth noting as well that I have continued to use their service department from the start, including cars purchased elsewhere. They are professional, accommodating, and do very good work. I definitely recommend this dealership, and will be back to see Teddy for my next car!

Well, let me tell you folks, Lundgren Subaru of Bennington is fantastic. They're tremendous. They've got the best cars, the most beautiful cars you've ever seen. And the salespeople, particularly Justin Corcoran, they're incredible. They know everything there is to know about cars. They'll help you find the perfect car for you, believe me.And the deals they've got going on right now? Unbelievable. You're not going to find better prices anywhere else. I mean, this dealership is really making America great again, let me tell you.And I know a thing or two about cars. I've got some of the best cars myself, the best cars money can buy. The one constant that will always keep me going back is the very best car salesman I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Mr. Ted (Teddy) Free. Ted is not only knowledgeable but also super friendly, personable and about as funny as a person can be. Super down to earth and patient with all my over the top questions and requests. Didn't want to buy a car out of state but couldn't find what we were looking for (a white Subaru Forester Limited) locally. Not only did Bennington Subaru have the car we wanted without a ton of bells and whistles (although the Subaru has amazing safety technology built into it), we got a great price from their Truecar internet deal and they gave us more than a fair price for our trade. Jessie was our salesman and was very pleasant, gave us a detailed orientation to the car when we picked it up. Whoever the sales manager was, she was very nice too. Bennington Subaru offers a bunch of perc's including free oil & filter changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections and state inspections. They also registered the car in Massachusetts for us so we didn't have a hassle there. Lastly, they understood my wife was buying the car and gave her the respect other dealerships don't seem to give women. Very positive experience. I should also add, we have been long-time Honda owners and never dreamed we'd switch but I actually had to drive a friend of mine's Forester home after a bike ride because he was cramping badly and I fell in love with the Subaru. We test drove the Honda CRV and didn't like it nearly as well. Guess we'll be loyal Subaru owners now like so many of our friends.
