I stay here EVERYTIME I m in the area-Utterly love the cool vintage yet updated motel with the best social encouraging vibes. Pete is so AT friendly- trail angel tables often set up. Outside benches- people chatting. Dog and all needs and life form friendly , clean and a bit kitschy. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS!Rooms: Super clean with OG furniture with modern amenitiesNearby activities: ATSafety: very safeWalkability: Absolutely minutes to downtownNoteworthy details: AT trail friendly- shuttle servicesAwesome dog friendly and social interactions outside benches

The beds and comforters are a little dated, but everything else seemed to be fairly updated, making their prices quite the value. Rooms had microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. AC worked great and it was fairly quiet during my stay.Walkability: Several restaurants about a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive away.

If ever in Bennington this is the place to stay. Great price for area & The owner Pete is a super nice guy, rooms are spotless, comfy bed and pillows. microwave and fridge were clean. nice coffee maker and hot shower. benches outside rooms to watch the sunset.I would stay here again and again when in area. Thank You Pete for the passion you have for the motel and area knowledge.

As other reviews have said, this place is spotless inside! The host is very nice and the location is perfect. Walk outside and you get a mountain view. You're right next door to a gas station that has great prices. You're a 5 minute walk from downtown bennington and you're right on rt 7. The rooms are well lit, they've got powerful ACs, and the blankets keep you nice and warm at night. The rooms (or at least the one I had) even come with a little sofa and a table for two which is more than I've had at any other motel! The wifi is stronger than most motel wifis. I plan to stay here any time I come up this way. If you're looking for an affordable stay in southern VT, but don't want to sacrifice cleanliness, safety, and proximity to everything else, look no further than here.

If you need to be in Bennington, this is an effortless place to stay. Simple clean rooms with everything you need and nothing you don't. Plus dog friendly. We just booked a second stay because the first one was so good. Very close to town. Pete is accommodating and available. We are airbnb refugees btw.Rooms: Simple, clean, ample supplies to make a basic breakfast of boiled eggs. Our room was actually very spacious. Park 2 feet from your door.Safety: Not a high crime place.Walkability: Totally possible to walk to town if you are basically fit.

The motel is VERY clean! Pete the owner is a very good guy. We come here in this motel everytime we go skiing in Mount Snow and Okemo. The rooms are cheap, it's very clean, all the rooms have a microwave, a fridge and a coffeemachine. And 2 good beds so there is enough space. You park your car in front of your room so you don't need to walk far. Besides the motel there is a gasstation with a convenient store and 5 min drive you can eat the best pizza's at Ramunto's !

I love this place. I have stayed here twice now and both times the rooms were comfortable, clean, and quaintly decorated. The second time more so, Room 17 has a few antique seeming snow shoes, a few paintings, etc.The gentleman I checked in with has now been a pleasure to deal with twice and being a pet friendly motel, the dog at the front desk is adorable.And the price? Literally unbeatable. If I am in the area again, I will absolutely be staying there again

Hiker & Pet friendly, its very hard to find places that accept pets, very appreciative they do here, room was a good size for two hikers and a dog , amenities provided were acceptable, had nice 3 day stay off the trail, Dollar General isn t to far away, but if your looking for Walmart try to hitch a ride, also owner provided ride back to trail and bus depot for my sons friend . Thanks Pete for being a great host .

Stayed two separate nights at the Catamount Hotel while hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Got a pickup from the trailhead and a welcome when we got to the motel. Very helpful staff, laundry, clean rooms and great showers. Thanks for being the right place at the right time!

While this is an old motel. the rooms have been kept in good condition and are still comfortable. If you're looking for an inexpensive, no-frills place to stay the night, this is a good choice. There's a convenience store next door with the essentials, so you can get by without having to go out in search of food, making it a great option for hikers and for those here for a few days/weeks for work. All of the rooms here are first floor rooms with exterior entry directly from the parking lot.

This IS the place for hikers to stay in Bennington! Pete is awesome and provides rides to/from trailhead at no extra cost. He knows some local folks that can shuttle ya around town (Walmart, etc...) But you won't need them for a great meal... there are many places to eat close enough to walk. Laundry is a reasonable $5.The rooms here are dated but VERY clean and large. My room had a fridge, microwave, air conditioner and fast WiFi. Absolutely zero complaints about my stay.Enjoy!

Had everything I needed in a motel. Fridge, microwave, hot water, air conditioner. They even did my laundry for $5 which was so nice. The rooms are on price point and are a great deal for being so close to town.The thru-hiker bonus was the shuttle pick up and drop off from trailhead. Thank you so much for the extra thought and going the extra mile.

Clean comfortable room with all you need for a good night sleep. A comfortable bed, a quiet setting and darkness. The owner/staff is very helpful. Bennington Vermont is a neat place to visit, with history, outdoor adventure and beautiful country. This was a halfway stop on a recent trip and a good visit.

Love the motor hotel style! Very comfortable room; love decor. Very friendly; including dog welcome. Clean, dog friendly, quiet. Nice to sit out on bench and watch the traffic go by. Highly recommend! Thank you

I've stayed at a lot of motels in my life, and this was really one of the better ones. They could easily charge double and give you less, but they don't. Solid wifi, color tv, hot shower, coffee brewer, air conditioning (that works!) microwave and a mini fridge, and beds that are actually comfortable. They'll even pick you up and drop you off at the trailhead.Hiker or not, don't skip out on staying here! It's even pet friendly.

Cannot stress enough how great these guys are, did not rent a room but they gave us a lift into town and a ride back to our car in North Adams the day after. Very hiker friendly, seriously considering staying there in the future. Thanks again!!

This is an older motel nothing like the new ones, but it is clean and run by nice people. It doesn't have central air. Each unit has a small air-conditioned that isn't strong enough to cool the room.

I just had a GREAT experience at this hotel. Modest but clean and well kept accomodatioms and the owners and their friends showed immense hospitality, even inviting me to join their cookout. They are also the most hiker-friendly hotel in Bennington so AT/long trail hikers take note: they offer laundry for a small fee and a FREE shuttle to/from the trail. Plus this place is a trail magic mecca and trail angels hang out with the owners. I m definitely staying here on my next trip to Bennington!

I like this hotel Peter is an excellent host it is close to everything. There is no cooking in room but does have a micro wave. It is clean . There are really no amenities. The price is worth it.

Clean and comfortable motel at a very reasonable rate. There is no pool or lounge, but it's a great place for a good night's sleep. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Owner was a really nice guy who would help with anything he could and his rates were the best in town. Fast check in. Rooms were clean and more modern than you would expect from the look of the place. Fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in room. WiFi was fast. Convenient to downtown Bennington.

Very clean and large room. The staff is friendly. Great rate and walking distance to Main St Bennington. We had a full size couch in our room which is a nice bonus.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is old but rooms are clean and comfortable. For $4 they will do your laundry for you. No breakfast onsite but Friendly's is within easy walking distance.

Traveling through New England on a road trip I was all worried about staying here based on Yelp reviews. I was totally happy with my stay. I've stayed in every kind of hotel and even on this road trip, by far, this is the cleanliest hotel I've stayed at. Wi-Fi, refrigerator, microwave, A/C, and **cleanliness** and this makes the room practically perfect. I would stay here again.
