I can't say enough great things about the service I receive at Stones. Highly reccomended for any car issue large or small. D.J., Jason and staff made me feel welcome and resolved the situation with expert service and in timely manner. The good these folks do keeping me safe on the roads is so appreciated. If you are looking for quality vehicle work or gas in the Barre area make them your first stop. I am a very satisfied repeat customer.

Response to Stones: Y'all don't even include an alignment when you put the tires on a car. Every other garage does. Wheres your excuse? We found another garage that'll do it for less. Thanks for being worthless. Signed by the son of a mechanic who's been in the business for 30 years.Tried to over charge my wife for a break job because she's a woman. As soon as we sent her in with a real mechanic, they started singing a different tune.Don't go here if you want your car worked on.

Yesterday 10-24-23 my bestie an I were at the orthodontist on Washington st in Barre an the Barre died in the vehicle that we were using, so my bestie walked up to stones explained the situation an both men that were working were 10/10 with customer service an beyond willing to help us! They came down an boosted the battery for us an made sure it was gonna stay running before they left. They are such kind hearted folks an we are truly grateful for their help! Dropped my 2005 Toyota Tacoma off for inspection. It was not till November but they accommodated a special situation. Fixed a couple of items and warrantied another part they had replaced at a prior appointment. They checked with me before any work was performed. very happy with Stones and the people who work there. Can't say enough good things about them.

I've been to stones three times. Each time been very happy. They pad slapped my truck then put rotors on it. They also helped me out and mounted my siren speaker on my truck. Keep up the great work.

Went in sat Morning the 29th as muffler came down on our van, Jason was working i explained was on calendar for the 2nd of Aug to fix exhaust and a tie rod for inspection, he put my van right in and did a temp repair so we could go to get prescriptions at Walmart. Above and beyond what he had to do and we were able to make walmart run safely.Thank You JasonWe will highly recommend you your brother and the whole crew at Stones

These guys are amazing! I called in desperately with a broken belt on the day that I was supposed to leave for my wedding and they were so accommodating and willing to help. Our family has trusted Stones for 35 years and will continue to come here for our car needs always!

Had a punctured tire. Called Stones and they said to bring it right down and they would look at it. They plugged the tire and away we went. Less than 15 minutes from our call to finished. Amazing service with smiles.

I took a used vehicle here that I was thinking of buying to have them inspect it. They spent a ton of time for an incredibly fair price, really checking out the vehicle to uncover the problems and then explaining them to me. Helped me make a very good decision not to purchase it. If I lived closer I'd come here for service.

Don't plan to return here. Both parts and labor very pricey. Wouldn't replace one spark plug wire without making me pay for the whole set (wanted to replace all 8 though not needed), which he quoted to me as "$70-80" and was $90 on my bill. The "cheaper" front driver's wheel bearing (part only) that they sold me cost pretty much the same price as another mechanic (Tuck's Repair Northfield) charged me for part, labor, and taxes on the passenger side. I asked them to check my brakes and they did not. Tuck's told me they needed to be replaced when I took my truck to him the next week.

Over the years we've had many auto shops as we moved around. Now that we found home, and tried several other shops in the area, we LOVE Stone's Service Station! Justin has been amazing with both our Mazda's and even found a stuck caliper that caused shaking in our CX-5 for YEARS that no one else caught, and replaced it at an extremely fair rate!I could go on and on with other reasons to trust Stone's with your vehicle, we will be bringing our vehicles there for life!

I found the Stone's crew to be professional and easy to do business with, and ultimately was able to make my old Saturn Ion road-worthy and inspectable. And they put the nice yellow sticker on! I definitely recommend this local business.

Stone's Service Station, in Barre Vermont, is a very reliable, honest and pleasant place to do business with. I have had a few emergent episodes, drove up to see them and they were able to work me in. Pricing is reasonable, but most of all-when the job is done-they stand by their work. I had an appointment here planned for a week, they canceled it the hour of the appointment because of an employee who hasn't gone into work in a week and a half and they were to backed up. Zero accountability and my vehicle is still broken.

Had alternator work done here. They didn't torq down a nut on one of the pullies when replacing the belt. It came off on the highway while myself 2 others and my kid were in the car. Could have gotten us killed.
