Wow..I never get service like that anymore. A clean restroom is always appreciated and my items were carried to my car and everyone was nice. So rare. I would give them ten stars if I could. They did hit me up for a donation which I usually resent but the donation was for the local high school !!!!! and not some corporate charity that pays their executives millions. Thank you for showing me that decency and customer service and local charity still exist.

We usually have very good experiences at this store. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is, however, one manager that my husband and I have both found to be very condescending (on separate occasions that we've discussed later and found it to be the same man). We will continue to frequent this store and avoid the one bad egg.Edit: It was actually an employee and not a manager.

Looking for something off-season. Called, and they looked around up front. Said it must be stored with the pools. They refused to go get.Even though the website said they had two. Had to drive 1.5 hours one way to Middlebury, who was more than happy to help and look. If you know what you want and can find yourself this store is ok. Help is like pulling teeth. Miss my store in Northfield they were very helpful.

Favorite go to store for what I need. I go here first to see if it s available to purchase. There s more here than most people think there is. Friendly environment and someone always there to help with questions I have, and alternate suggestions if need be.

Probably in Barre area this is definitely the best hardware store they sell paint by can here and have highlights to see what color results you would get they sell all types of different tools at this aubuchon things to repair broken items with and it is a pretty big store too

The online inventory was wrong, staff called me and offered alternatives to be sure I had what I need to complete my project. When we arrived, the product was ready and staff loaded our truck in a way that we could easily unload and get back to work!

Several online orders have not been filled 100% even though the items are said to be on hand at the time order is placed. When order is filled the customer receives a text saying that one or more items are not available due to inventory issue but no info on what is not available, which is usually the reason the order was actually placed. Later an email will be sent out indicating which item(s) are not available. Better inventory control would save on a 20-mile trip.

Dear Manager,I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service provided by one of your store employees. Yesterday, I visited your store to get my Koehler engine fixed, and the employee who assisted me did an outstanding job.The employee, Ken Boutin, took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly inspect my engine. He quickly identified the issue with the carburetor and explained the necessary repairs in detail. The employee then expertly fixed the carburetor and had my engine running like new in no time.I was thoroughly impressed with the employee's knowledge and expertise, as well as his friendly and helpful demeanor. He went above and beyond my expectations and provided exceptional customer service.I want to thank you for having such a dedicated and skilled employee on your team. Great selection but you ll pay the price. I ve not received much in store help on products. Kinda have to know what you want and serve yourself.The cat is very friendly.

Several minutes before closing on July 10, we had driven to this particular Aubuchon Hardware to grab sandbags before the flooding occurred on North Main St. We asked one of the staff members who was preparing to close that we needed several sandbags in order to keep the water from flowing into our restaurant front. We also informed the staff member that we had cash and did not need change back. However, the staff member refused to sell the sandbags to us. He proceeded to shut the door in our face and lock it. Since we relocated to Barre in 2018, we've gone above and beyond to support local businesses like us. We strongly believe that such businesses as well as New England-based franchises are what keep this small city alive. However, my family and I will NEVER support Aubuchon Hardware again. We encourage those who value kindness and compassion to do the same.- Si Aku Ramen Co.

Needed some plexiglass cut and I was new to the store. I asked an employee for help and was promptly taken care of. The cutting of the glass was done perfectly!! I'll use this Aubuchon's in the future.

I have had pretty decent service here on multiple occasions. They even let me hang up a flier for a seed swap event this Saturday. The gent before me obviously has not but I've bought multiple supplies and I'd say they are on par for what most stores can get. I thought the cat was a great touch since most places have the old and tired-looking dog mascot. As for the staff standing behind the counter talking, yes they do, but whenever I ask for help they are quick to end their discussion and assist me. :)

Shannon Blakey is my daughter. My name is Durwood Collier when I opened this survey. Don't know why her name came up. Yesterday I purchased an Ocean Breeze OBZ-O5CM Window Air Conditioner, Order #001458831,but when I picked it up and got it home and installed I realized that it was a Comfort-aire air conditioner, not an Ocean Breeze. Why? I specifically wanted the Ocean Breeze, because I already have one and it works very well. The Comfort-Aire seems to work well, but is not what I ordered.

I went to this store this morning looking for an extension cord, pet safe salt and a gift certificate. I left without purchasing anything. When I asked where the extension cords were located, the cashier said " well where do you think they would be?..." I did not appreciate her tone and condescending remark as she said "aisle 11, electricial" with a smirk on her face. I left and went to Nelson's, which proivided me with outstanding service and met my shopping needs.

They have what I need when I need it. Everything from nuts n bolts ,garden needs, painting supplies to a cool air conditioner. Prices are reasonable. My neighborhood hardware dealer thumbs up!

I ordered a cordless Black & Decker hedge trimmer from the website for store pickup. Within 15 minutes I received an email stating it was ready to pick up. I went to the store and made a quick trip in and out. ALL were wearing masks! The hedge trimmer is incredibly sharp, lightweight, and continued to amaze me through three rows of hedges. Battery life was even longer than I expected. My lawn looks awesome!

I m not happy with some of the customer service there. The young guy at the register is miserable all the time and when asked where something is he just points at the direction of the aisle.

The overall store here is bigger than other hardware stores in the area and the aisles are wider so you don't feel as if you're looking for something within the stuffed hallways of a hoarder's house, like some other hardware stores around. Although it's hard to blame a store for trying to stock lots of product, I don't like that cramped feeling that some of the competition in the area gives you when you go into their hardware stores.Another plus is that when you look something up online, it's actually there in the aisle and spot it points you to. I've gone in other hardware stores around that list aisles and such and showed the information to the employees and they said they had no idea what that was talking about. And indeed, those employees of the other stores were right as when finally finding the item it wasn't at all where the website listed it to be.That's kind of a major thing right now when going out to a store, you want the item that says it's in stock to be in stock and where it claims it to be. People don't want to be going out for no reason during these Covid times. For here that's exactly what you get.The prices are higher than Walmart (then again what prices aren't?), but they are far more likely to actually have the more specific hardware item you may be looking for. Besides, at the time I'm writing this, the local Walmart is having terrible shelf stocking issues.I was going to rate it 4 stars for some nitpicky reasons I won't get into (since I'm not rating it that 4), but the last time I was shopping there I saw a store cat, and so I'm going to bump it up a star for them giving a homeless feline a place to live. Thanks for helping out that beautiful animal with a home!

Service was great. Super low prices and did the curbside pick up and they brought my items to the car and placed in the trunk for me.I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

I was looking for bathroom fixtures that I found via an Internet search. It led me to Amazon (of course) and Home Depot (which I truly do like). I decided to see if my local Aubuchon had the products. They had them all and at just a dollar or so more. No travel, picked them up that day, the website had correct numbers in stock and the location in the store!

I went in bought a new weed wacker found a good priced one bought it and there was 4 cashier's standing around talking behind the register the lady that cashed me out had gone to help another person. My hands were full trying to get out the door with everything this weedwacker came with. Not one cashier offered to help open the door for me and resulting in poor customer service I now have a huge chunk of skin missing from my heel from the door shutting on my heel. Would have been prevented if one of those 4 cashier's helped me.
