We have been bringing vehicles to this location for almost 20 years. I noticed a recent name change and new staff, and I was happy to find that they are friendly, knowledgeable, timely and honest. Got my car inspected quickly, didn't try to sell me anything I hadn't asked for.

Christensen Automotive on 5600 W in West Valley Cityhave taken care of my car's for decades and now my children and my grandchildren. Christensens point s has been my go to for all things tire for a couple years now, and have always given the best price and have gone above and beyond on service for me when my car need special attention for the wheels and tires.They ve earned a customer for life with me just based on the care they take for my car.I ll be back again later this month to have my jeep tires done as well.

I'm giving 5 stars only because there's no option for 10 stars.I came with Ram 3500 and about 60 feet long loaded trailer. These guys where positive not only to put new winter tires on my truck, but also have helped changing a spare on the trailer not to say it all lasted after they closed. I'm really grateful to you guys. You've made me able to go through blizzard up in the mountains that night and finally to deliver the load safe and sound. Thank you!

They accidentally overcharged me on a brake pad replacement. I didn t notice, but they did and called me a couple of days later to apologize and refund the overcharge. I m very impressed by both their work and their honesty.

Jeremy helped get my car in for fluids to be changed out and also was able to repair a part that I ve struggled with Honda to fix. He was able to get be a great price and explained everything so I would understand. He is a huge asset to your company.

I was at a fast food place and came out my battery was dead. Christensen's Point S sent mechanic out right away to check my battery. It was the battery. He then followed me back to Point S to make sure I was OK. They replaced the battery promptly, checking everthing and I was on my way.Thank you, Christensen Point S

My fiance went there earlier this week to change tires, and it was fine, so we recommended them to his brother for his new Tacoma. We won't be recommending them again, because they created such a bad experience for his brother.They mounted the tires the wrong way, and then charged more to flip them the direction that he had asked for. They also scratched the wheel on his new truck, which is disappointing. I just think it's unfair to charge another 40 to flip the tires (they were planning on charging full price, but since it was their fault they were "splitting the cost" for their mistake?).. they quasi tried to charge a tire recycling fee, when he was taking the other tires home..overall, wouldn't recommend again. Discount tire is right up the road, and they have fair prices and I've never had an issue there.**Update**He also stayed as the work was done, so their excuse that they didn't have a good contact number is false. I asked him if he wanted me to pick him up so he didn't have to wait, and since it wouldn't be long, he just waited. They just mounted them wrong and scratched up his wheels. Again, just go to Discount Tires on 5600 -- they do a great job and are always very nice.His brother has also had the same number for many many years, so I can assure you hr provided a good contact number. Its interesting that's the reply, as they have no way of knowing whose vehicle they worked on, as it isn't in any way linked to my Google account. Seems to just be excuses and looking at their other reviews, it seems to be what they do best...

Well if you are ready to be nickel and dime to death, this is your shop. I took a 1 ton truck in to have a flat repair done. They pulled the wheel and supposedly fixed the slow leak for a cost of 21.00 dollars A week later the tire was going flat. They fixed the slow leak So I felt that I should give their mechanical side a chance. I was having trouble with a compact car passing emissions. I explained all the work that had been done to the vehicle to get it to pass the emissions but still was getting a check engine light. I had them scan the computer at the price of 132.00 dollars ( you can have this done at auto zone for free ) at the same time I requested for them to check my rear brakes. They charge 32.00 dollars to pull one wheel on a compact car. But on a one ton truck they charged 21.00 dollars to pull a wheel and fix flat. So getting back to the emissions they found supposedly a bad vent valve on the gas tank. The cost for this was 350.00 dollars. But as long as it fixed the problem I was willing to pay. So I picked up the car and the very next day the check engine light came on. Basically they just played the guessing game and threw on parts that were not needed. I returned the car and left it with them all day they called me and said that my ECM was bad and that there was nothing more they could do. I took the car to a qualified and honest shop who did a thorough diagnosis and found that the battery was low causing the ECM to fault. Replaced the battery and haven t had a problem since. It s sad that costumer service has gone out the window. I feel this shop is out to take advantage of the customers. Surely will not be returning to them.

Unfortunately negative stars aren t an option .If you bring your vehicle here, you better buckle up for the worst, most frustrating experience of your life.The immediate red flag should have been when they called not even 10 minutes after we dropped off our car because they forgot to quote us labor and then refused to give us any sort of deal on it whatsoever but Don t worry! they said, We will have your car ready by this afternoon We didn t get our car back until FOUR DAYS LATER.We took that car in to get some oil leaks fixed and when we got it back, there was a brand new transmission leak. A very large leak visible leak that we could see. Me and my husband. Two competent adults who both have eyeballs could see the very large leaks in our driveway and garage. When we took it took, they said they didn t have ANY record of our car because of a new system . So we happily brought back our copy of the paperwork and the receipt on the hopes that we could get things resolved.But then we were told there were no leaks. Nothing. They said they couldn t find anything wrong. The puddles of fluid at my house said otherwise!Like are you kidding me?? The mechanics actually told us there wasn t a leak but anytime that car was parked for more than five minutes it would create a puddle.The last time we took it in they had the audacity to charge a diagnostic fee. By that point we were just done with the BS.This entire experience with this business has been an absolute joke. Not once has there been an apology or a grain of remorse from ANYONE.Like come on guys, if you re gonna take advantage of your customers, at least buy us dinner first.So unprofessional. So impossible to work with or get a straight answer from. And we are not the first people who have had this exact or similar experience.

After taking my car to 3 different dealerships and spending thousands of dollars this place actually took the time to check my oil and had the transparency to tell me without trying to upsell me everything under the sun that my engine was the issue. Austin was the best and I ll be taking my car here from here on out.

In this place they do good work, professional of course but the moment you see the bill you are left broke, I bought a car for $6000 dollars, the car has an oil leak but they said to change the engine and that they would charge $4700 to change it, I better give them a gift the car . and they charge for every screw they change . The good thing is that I didn't want a new engine but they were owed the cost was $9000, I'm dying.

Only been here on two occasions so my exposure to this place is very limited. However, the people here have been knowledgeable and easy to deal with. They aren't pushy when it comes to add on's or about maintenance that should be done. Super easy to deal with and will continue to come here when there is something my car needs that i can not do myself.

Got all new tires, brakes and rotors 3 months ago, the service was great. The brakes are squeaking like crazy so I took it in to get looked at, was told I d have to drop it off for several hours even though they didn t seem busy. That s not the big issue, my issue was the guy at the counter didn t seem to care less at all that my $2000 repair might have an issue. So I guess the service is hit and miss depending on the day. Was going to take my other car in for oil change and emissions but took it somewhere else today after this experience.

They gave me a fair quote. I chose to sell the car from the parking lot to someone who could foot the bill for repairs. This location was super understanding and gave me pointers. I got 1000 more than I thought I could because of their advice.They went above and beyond. Legit peeps.

After a long week of going shop to shop to find the problem with my Durango. 2 hours after dropping it off here they called and was able to tell us what was wrong and how to fix it. We have always had great service here and trust them for honest and quality of work.

The service I received from Point S was very timely and thorough! I was afraid and thought I had ruined my car. Austin, at Point S, jumped right on the service and explained it all to me, calming my fears. He took care of the car problems, told me all the scenarios, and gave me a cost break down. The car service was very satisfactorily done.

My first experience with Point S (Formerly Christensen s - Now Wasatch Tire & Service in West Valley City, Utah)was with my Silverado Pickup Truck that had an oil leak that left a puddle in my driveway. I was told that it was an oil pan plug that had been cross threaded when replaced by a dealership when I had my oil changed previously. Since the oil pan threads were stripped I was told that I might need a replacement oil pan at a cost of about $800. The service representative said, Before we consider an oil pan replacement, let me talk to my mechanic and see if there is anything he can do. The Point S mechanic was able to insert a coil so a new oil pan plug would work. They could have told me that the new pan was absolutely necessary and how would I know there was an alternative solution?I recently took a different vehicle in for an oil change and their mechanic discovered some seepage around the oil pan, so again there was the possibility of a large expense. After further inspection however, I was told that it wasn't necessary to replace the gasket on the pan and there was just minimal seepage that wasn't enough to drop any oil on the ground.The bottom line? Here was two opportunities for Point S to make some money on repairs but they were honest and saved me a lot of money.

Completed a diagnostic on my car within the time frame they told me and was able to fix the issue. Very friendly, waiting area is nice, and their prices are comparable.

Our car has been having issues almost every day if you stop and start it code p0335 which is the crankshaft position sensor comes up but after turning the car off and on again the code goes away. took it in and they "drove" it without the issue happening was told the issue gots to get worse before they could fix it charged us 140$ and held onto the car for a whole day didnt even attempt to replace the sensor which would have been a good 200-300 bucks acording to google. Drove it the very next day and the issue happened again. Will take a picture of the receipt if the owner says he "has no record and wants us to remove this fake review."Update. Took my car to another shop told them the issue they tested the crankshaft position sensor it was 100% the problem guy said simply hooking up a voltmeter showed it was faulty and that driving it was actually quite dangerous. got it tooken care of and was done with in a day. I dont know what "guessing" the christensens guys were doing here but it had nothing to do with figuring out our issue. Do not go here please!

I have about 4 several Mechanics. My grandfather, taught me to have a few. I find the "Point" to have, very friendly and informative staff. There honest, friendly, professional and upfront on, analyzing your car issues. I like the waiting room lounge along w/ the "non- crowed" and "spacious" parking lot area for vehichle(s).

Horrible customer care and parts.No record ? Wow maybe start by getting your system updated. This establishment is full of lies. If the issue was resolve when I took my F-150 in for the brake squeaking maybe I wouldn t go to another shop to get another brake rotors and brake pads change. The parts have a warranty but instead this shop wanted to charge me more because I break too hard ?? Only 7k miles and brakes squeaking?

I live up the street, and was hoping for an oil change. It would be nice to have a mechanic in my neighborhood that I trust.I called twice, once to see if they did full synthetic (yes), the second time to double check if they'd take my car in a little after 5pm (also yes).I got there at 5:10 (left work early to make it) and was told by the same person I spoke to on the phone that no, they don't have time to do it, even after being assured on two phone calls that if I got there around 5pm, they'd have plenty of time.Luckily, there are multiple other mechanic/tire/oil shops on 5600 who actually want to do their jobs and get new customers.About 5600 W 3200 S there is a 'BigOh' type place that welcomed me in well after 5pm, I'd suggest trying there instead.

They are great, honest people that take pride on working with their customers vehicles. When there was a nail in the side walls in one of my tires. They took the time to tell me why they couldn t fix it, it made sense, because most likely it would keep going flat because of how the patch wouldn t stick, instead it would most likely rip off, I m happy Christensen s Point S. tells me the truth and to take the time to explain it to me. I can t thank them enough for keeping my car safe on the road for me, greatly appreciated!Services: Electrical, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

I have been going to Christensen's for years and they have always taken great care of me. I have the utmost confidence in them and know they will do right by me. There are other tire stores closer to me, but I go out of my way to go to Christensen's.

Excellent service! We always come here for oil changes, tires, brakes, tune-up - basically, any service they provide. I love that they are professional and help me know what is going on with my vehicle. If a repair is suggested, they tell me the urgency of the repair and give me the choice for when to fix it. They tell me what will happen with the vehicle if the repair is not made, if anything. They let me know what the parts do and show me, if needed. No pressure, ever. I trust them, which means a lot.
