We were very lucky to find Jeff and the rest of the team at VW Upfitters. These guys were amazing and the whole shop seems top notch. We were on a trip from Seattle to southern Utah when the van wouldn t start after a stop in Salt Lake City. I called around and wasn t having luck with shops willing or able to work on my 91 with Subaru motor. Glad to have found these guys who have deep experience with VWs of all flavors. They are a big shop and super busy but shifted some stuff around and were able to see me the same day (after the tow to their shop). They had the right parts on hand had us back on the road within a few hours of calling them. Really remarkable. I wish I could have VW Upfitters be my go-to shop.

I was so lucky to find a shop that specializes in VW conversions. After leaving small car performance in fife WA we had misfire in two cylinders. We were over 1000 miles away from our repair shop and needed specialized help.Matt with VW conversions was so helpful and took me in as soon as they opened. After troubleshooting we determined two coils were bad. A quick delivery and we were back on the road.Thanks so much.

Our experience working with the crew at VW Uplifters is what we expected from a speciality auto shop: Quality, care, and communication. We had extensive work performed on our 90 Vanagon. The newly rebuilt engine with Mansispeed enhanced performance (highly recommended if you re interested in a rebuild), upgrade to bigger brakes and wheels, and new suspension are all working flawlessly since we rolled out of the shop. In fact I believe it s performing better than it did off the factory floor. Big shout out to Matt for his skill and attention to detail and Jeff the owner who was with us the whole time with updates, options, and accurate estimates.

Leaving my 91 Vanagon with VW Upfitters was smooth and stress free process. They communicated with me incredibly well and updates a bunch of things I needed done on the van. Hands down the best VW repair shop in Utah.

VW Upfitters is the real deal for VW owners. These guys own, drive and love their VW's just like their customers. Great communication, good problem solving and a willingness to help. 5 stars from me!

I brought my 1983 VW Westfalia to VW Upfitters and had engine work done, new brakes all around, new tent installed and a bunch of other things. These guys are the best in Utah for your VW needs. Thanks guys.

Heater core and fan replacement on my converted 86 Syncro. Nice to have heat again. Need to stop by for radio and interior light issue.

Awesome awesome experience with VW Upfitters! I was passing thru Utah recently on a road trip with my '87 Westy when I felt something funky from the engine compartment. A quick search on the 'net led to VW Upfitters. The owner Jeff and the man with the tools Matt made time in their busy schedule to have me come in. Van was diagnosed, part found and I was on my way in less than a day. Beautiful shop for anything VW---Beetle, Ghia, Bus or Van and beyond. Cannot recommend these guys enough!

We had some issues with our 75vw bus and broke down. They were recommended by a friend and they helped us get back on the road super quick! This is a shop full of amazing mechanics.

Ran into Van trouble on my way through SLC and was able to get my van in right away. Owner, Jeff, was super easy going, respectful and responded quickly to my calls. Zack was super knowledgeable and helped me chase down the issues and got me back on the road as soon as we had the problem nailed down. Highly recommend

Wow, Zach, just wow!My wife and I travel full time in our '69 VW bus and in Moab began to have trouble with our CV axle. Ran in to Zach at a VW event and he suggested we come up to VW Upfitters where he works. Man, am I glad we did. He was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, addressed all of our questions and concerns, sourced a hard to find part super quickly, and even took care of some little things that I had just decided to "live with"! Couldn't be happier with the quality of service and his "bedside manner" while our bus Pearl was in his hospital. You got a Vanagon or a Bay (probably split window busses too) that wants a professional touch, I highly recommend Zach and VW Upfitters.
