The place used to be good. But lately not so much. The last time I took my vehicle in to get diagnosed, (on top of having me wait a day or two) I get a call saying there was nothing wrong found with my car and can be picked up. I specifically told them it needed to be driven a few mins but I guess they were too busy for that. Because when I picked it back up, there it was!! The same engine issue after 5 minutes of driving!! This last time I make a full week's worth of plans to get my other vehicle in at 7 in the morning ( I even had to sleep in it outside the shop to get it looked at first thing in the morning as previously instructed) only to be told to come back next week because they are selling the business and can only see lt until new owner takes over. Is that why you keep brushing your customers away? now that you're selling the place you no longer care?! This is supposed to be a business! You don't know the lengths your customers go just to get their vehicles into your shop. And if you can't appreciate that by keeping your word, then maybe you should just shut down altogether. This is exactly why people hate mechanic shops and end up doing the work on their own. You're just giving all mechanics a stereotypical bad rap.

Poor workmanship, dishonest but cheap.You get what you pay for I guess.Craig is the mechanic and incompetent. Jerry is the gopher and probably an excon. While complaining to them , he tried to sneek up behind me with a wrench.Randy is the manager,personable but manages the house of incomplete well.Overall would give them a zero star rating, but 1 star was as low as it goes

I went to this place to see if they could change the transmission fluid . They told me it has a transmission problem, and I need to take it to a place that does transmission issue. Fernando said it will not fix the delayed shifting gears if they change the transmission fluid.

I have always been comfortable with Bill and Randy. They do the repairs quickly. They have always treated me with respect. They fix my car at a very fair price, and they re always honest about their work and what they need to do. Never have I had them try to offer me something I did not need. These guys are amazing!! They are honest and do excellent work too. I was worried to take my car to a mechanic I didn't know but these guys gained my trust right away. They quoted me a very fair price and did the work the same day.I will definitely go back.Thanks Bill and Randy!!Norby-

Absolutely the best, most affordable, reliable, honest mechanic in the area. They are life savers. They have told me when I didn't need something that I already thought I did, saving me hundreds unlike a lot of other mechanics that would have me pay for something I didn't need. They are beyond affordable and super fast turnaround. Absolutely love these guys and my entire family had been taking our cars here for years.

Thank you so much Randy , you were so amazing to me today, your prices are unbeatable, you were honest and I appreciate how quickly you got me my car! I was told at another shop I needed spark plugs, brakes and they quoted me $498 for the parts alone. Randy could have taken me for all that I told him I was told needed to be done but he didn't his integrity was beyond anyone I've ever dealt with when it comes to repairs. Thank you so much Randy!

If you re not taking your car to this shop you are really missing out. Extremely knowledgeable mechanics. They don t sell you on anything extra. They ll tell you if your parts have more life to them.I had a friend refer me to a mechanic who couldn t fix my car. Then I took it to Bill and Randy s turned out to be a brake master cylinder.Had them fix suspension components replace a radiator extremely fair prices.Dealership told me I had to replace my brakes. Took it to Bill and Randy s and they said they don t feel comfortable replacing them because they still had plenty of life left.If I ever have my own shop I would hope to be as honest and hard-working as Bill and Randy s!The worst thing about moving out of state is knowing that ill never find a shop like Bill and Randy s that ll compare.I wanna live in a world where every automotive shop is as amazing as Bill and Randy s . it s nice to dream.

This was the WORST place I could have ever taken my vehicle. Not only did they have me go get the parts they needed they tried to blame the battery of my car which was brand new only 3 days in my car. What ever they did to "fix" my car made my brand new battery almost explode. They then talked down to my daughter and told her she didn't understand anything about cars because she's a girl. Then they charged me $100 to put a new battery in that like I said before I had to go get for them. I would never recommend any one to use this place. Shame on them for taking advantage of people like they did.Service: Electrical repair

I had went to Jiffy Lube. They told me I needed brakes, rotors, and an engine filter. They quoted me over 300 dollars. Bill and Randy s quoted me much cheaper and even double checked and let me know everything the other place said I needed looked fine. They were open, honest, and even stayed a little bit later so I could pick up my car same day after a minimal fix. I found my new mechanic. Exceptional service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I'm skeptical trying new mechanics because I've been ripped off in the past, but this place had good reviews and it was close to our new place. They definitely lived up to their good reviews. Very friendly and honest. My car played that trick where it had a problem until I started it to drive it to the mechanic. They tried getting it to repeat the issue, checked quite a few things, but found it to be in good working order for the time being. I expected I'd pay an hour minimum (like most shops) for the time spent, but there was no charge. I suspect the engine trouble will return eventually and I will be bringing it back to Bill and Randy's. Great guys! Thank you.

These guys have established a reputation for good work and honesty. But they are backed up so much that they can t get to your car for days and days. Maybe the long wait time is because they do good work and are honest (a rarity nowadays in the auto repair business). However, they need to hire more mechanics with those same values so they don t have to turn away business because they can t handle it. I would still rather go to Bill and Randy s than some of the dealers around here who just run a rip-off shop.

Fantastic work done on our family van!! We were told by another repair shop we needed our steering rack and pinion replaced because it was "bad and if you drove any further that it would have snapped" quoted $1200. We took our van to Bill and Randy's, they took a look, said the rack and pinion was totally fine, looked more and found it was around a $100 fix (not counting labor) for a new steering fluid reservoir and hose. This shop was unbelievably honest when other shops want the money for wasting your time. We had our van back less than 20 hours later. Will be taking all of my vehicles here. They say when you find a good mechanic its for life!!

I love these guys. They are fair. Recently took my truck in due to my check engine light and could not pass inspection. Most places would charged me to put a catalytic converter, but they placed in extension and only charged me about $170.00. Another mechanic quoted me $500 for both the converter parts alone.They are awesome. Strongly recommend them. My Grandpa would never take his vehicles anywhere else for repairs in turn my uncle and all my cousins take there vehicles to bill and Randy's and I carry on the tradition! They are straight forward honest and bottom line they aren't crooks like most repair shops! My last repair they performed on my vehicle was i dropped my driveline on the freeway and that was a Saturday so I had it towed there and on Monday around 2pm it was fixed with a bill of only $140 buck's! Anywhere else would have charged me at least 500 if not more! I don't think I need to say more these guys are the Best in the state of Utah hands down! Bill & Randy s Auto Repair did an awesome job at replacing my brakes and tires, as well as fixing some hoses in my vehicle that were causing my Check Engine Light to turn on. Their technician Gary was super helpful and got all of these services done for me for an affordable price! Bill and Randy's has been my family's go to mechanic shop for 4 generations now. My grandparents, parents, myself and my children take our vehicles here every time. The guys are honest, straightforward and fairly priced. Brakes, engine lights, fuel pumps, gas tanks, electrical issues and more and that's just been my trucks.Sometimes they get busy and they aren't open in the weekends so I almost don't want to share, but if you need a good repair shop-this is the place to go.

I have had a mechanic that i have used for years but a neighbor suggested Bill & Randy's. After determining it was the starter I called my guy I have used for years $598.00 4 days turnaround. Bill and Randy's $290.00 out the door done in 24 hours. Very friendly guys and I will definitely recommend them to all my friends and family. They totally under promised and over delivered! I think I got lucky on the turnaround time because they are so fair and honest they can get pretty busy but if I would ever have to wait a little longer I totally would because they are worth it!!! thanks again Bill & Randy!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I moved to this area in 2010. Finding a safe mechanic is ALWAYS a challenges. I've had several vehicles in with these guys and they have NEVER done me wrong. And always reasonably priced.(Just a note: Take your car in EARLY .. before 8:30am if you can. They only take in the cars they can handle for that day. I have sometimes gone in later. I just like to go early to make sure they can fit me in.)I absolutely LOVE this place!

Very honest, they never try to snowball you with extra work you don t need. It s inexpensive compared to most places. They don t charge an arm, leg, and a kidney for labor, and parts are the same price as Auto Zone type places. They don t do appointments so you kinda need to get there when they open to get a place in line. They are usually pretty fast with the work though. I highly recommend this place.

I've been going to Bill & Randy's since I've owned a car (+10 years) and they have been great every single time. They are reasonably priced and they do quality work. I'd recommend them to anyone!

I always have a good experience at Bill and Randy's. They have fixed my Grandfather's and Father's cars for years. Just took in my 2014 Dodge Charger for an oil pressure switch and the mechanic went above and beyond what was asked. He noticed that previous work that was done at the local Dodge dealer was subpar and fixed that for me too. My family has trusted these guys with our cars for a very long time and we will continue to go back. They are very honest and always do a good job at a fair price.

Had an emergency, needed to find a mechanic quickly. Im not from here, so I Went to a few other places and they wouldn't even look at it. Call Bill and Randy's, they were extremely busy and took the time to look at my vehicle. It was an easy fix and I was on my way. I am extremely thankful I find these guys and Highly recommended them and will go back for all of my service needs.

We have used Bill & Randy's for years. Even though we have moved to Draper, we still take our cars there when we need a repair. They are honest and extremely reasonable to deal with. They have referred us to the dealer for free recall repairs, when we did not realize there was a recall out. Great shop

Replaced starter taking 2 days to work on it. When it was returned they had hooked up the alternator to over- charge a brand new battery and made the new battery worthless and in need of being replaced again. Then charged to replace the battery.They are rude and disrespectful especially as they will talk down to women as lower class citizens.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery

When my battery light came on a few days ago I nearly started to cry - I have had the most heinous experience with repair shops this year and I couldn't fathom visiting another. This time I did some research and went to google and yelp for help and I found this gem! I called and Randy told me he'd get right back to me with a price - he called me two minutes later with a very fair price and he said he could work on my car the next day! I took my car in and with no bs, no "additional fixes" they got my car fixed AND told me my new alternator has a lifetime warranty. They don't even know how grateful I am for their wonderful service, but they have a new customer for life. Thank you for not making my third car repair visit this year traumatic, I am so appreciative and will be back!

Just got back from Bill and Randy's and it was the BEST experience I have EVER had with a mechanic. I bought a 1998 Saturn and it needed some fixes before it would be ready for Safety and Emissions. They diagnosed for free, clearly listed out everything for me, kept the price very reasonable, and were able to do the fixes in great time! Not to mention, I had expected that I needed to take the car myself to go get the emissions test, but they took it for me. Not sure if that's something they are normally able to do, (I'm sure things get busy) but this is just an example of how above and beyond they were. Everything only took barely over a day, and they were the friendliest people. I have dealt with a lot of mechanics who treated me like I was stupid for not knowing about cars, tried to charge exorbitant amounts for labor, etc. They did none of these things, and were friendly to boot. I am so grateful and they have made a permanent customer out of me!

We love Bill and Randy's! They always treat us fairly and quickly. We have been going to them for 10 years with repairs for cars from the 1990's to our 2016 and don't see ourselves using anyone else!

I and my family have been going hear for a long time. (around 10 years) we have always received great service. one time when I was quoted almost 400$ too replace a windshield wiper assembly. I had taken to a closer mechanic at the time. It wasn't an emergency, so I took my car to Bill and randy's and got it replaced plus a lube oil and filter for 278$. That is only one example of the service they have provided us. I was originally recommended to go there from my mom, and my mom was recommended to go there from her sister and mother. So they are now servicing many of our families vehicles. I recommend them to anyone.
