I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 2500. They placed a rebuilt transmission for me and came with a warranty. I couldn't afford to pay right away and they worked with me to pay it. I'm so grateful people are still living this way, humble, respectful, caring and had feelings. Do not use this company. They do not honor their word. My son had his transmission rebuilt by this company so that he could move down to Phoenix only to have his transmission go out 60 miles from his destination. Not even a month after having it fixed. Car is stuck in phoenix and they will not do anything to fix the situation. We even offered ship the transmission back to them to them for a full refund which they agreed to do and then today say they wont. UPDATE we now have to hire a car hauler to take the vehicle to their location and they said they will only cover part of the total cost to transport it. Giving them the second chance to fix this but still a good chance this will be heading to court if they do not cover the full transport cost or if it breaks a second time.

My Uncle bought a transmission for his Mazda two years ago and Peli at Affordable is easy to work with and like the name says affordable. So, when the transmission went out in my motor home three weeks ago we had it towed from Price to West Valley so they could do the work. Fast, affordable and guaranteed. Three weeks total. What else can you ask for? The only other transmission I've had to buy I purchased from a national chain, it took three months and was back in the shop two more times before it worked.

Beware, They do not disclose the terms of the warranty until you pay your invoice. For them to honor the three year unlimited millage warranty YOU MUST TAKE IT TO THEM ONLY FOR THE FIRST TWO YEARS TO BE SERVICED FOR THE COST OF $180 (as of June 2023). So if you want your warranty you will be paying them another $360 to keep it. Other competitors also require maintenance but it is every 20,000 miles and can be done anywhere. Just so you know Affordable Transmissions rebuilds transmissions in house instead of using transmissions from commercial transmission rebuilding operation. That is why Peli will give you a price range because they do not know exactly what it needs until they take the transmission apart. I will write a follow-up since I just got my car back to see how well it holds up.Service: Transmission

Great experience with this place! They came towed our SUV from Utah County and they did an amazing job with our transmission (rebuilt) and other things they caught to repair. Fast service at a great price! I needed my transmission oil changed on my newer car. Some other places told me I would have to go to a dealer. However, not only could these guys do it, but I saved $100 and 3 weeks compared to AAMCO. My car is now running smoother!

These guys are so great! The insurance company sucked but, these guys helped me in my time of need. Picking up my car, fixing it, fighting the Insurance company on my behalf. They saved me over $1000. Super professional and just all around good guys. I will never use anyone else in this town. They were my first call, ran into them on accident and sure glad that I did. They even helped me with the Tire guys up the street. They are really amazing, and I appreciate everything they have done for me.

I was fished by the free diagnostics, thus I was ready to pay for it. Funny, but since car wasn't drivable, the only diagnostics they did is to check oil level. Lol. Based on this, the next day they told me transmission needs to be rebuilt and it will cost between 3k to 4.5k. Don't be naive like me and put yourself in dependable position - 99% chance that a final bill will be 4.5k. Add uber rides to visit them (I had like 10 times), and of course no substitute car/reimbursement for returning on warranty. They fixed car mechanically but we're not able to get rid of the check engine light. Extremely disappointed. Now it's hard to pass emissions or sell the car. Plus they first say towing is free with ANY service (like transmission swap, which was cheaper for sure), then said only with transmission overhaul. 0 customer service for 5 grand paidService: Transmission

I was very pleased with the work that was done on our Dodge Caravan. When I first took it in to their shop, they did some tests and outlined what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Later the next day when I picked-up the vehicle, I was very pleased to learn that all it needed was a complete tune-up and did not need an expensive overhaul and the price was also very affordable. Peli, the owner, treated me professionally and courteously and took the time to explain what the problems were. I'll definitely take my vehicles back to him in the future as needed. Affordable Transmissions is certainly affordable, but also provides excellent service in a timely manner.

It said 3 year warranty but after a year and 8 months my transmission went out after spending $2795. funny that my original transmission lasted 15 years, but the rebuilt one only lasted 20 months. No 3 year warranty. They said they would have to charge me to take it apart and look at it and maybe the parts are under warranty. If you want to spend $2795 every two years to replace your transmission then Affordable Transmission in West Valley is the place to go.

I brought my car to them years ago and they did an awesome job and with great prices, however this time around still great job but the Affordable part really needs to be looked into. Sorry guys no hard feelings

This is the best shop to go to for quality work at an honest price. I've had an overhaul on my tranny done and my brakes replaced here. Costs were more than feasible and I am more than pleased with the way my jeep runs. These guys are great!

Worst experience ever. They took 2 and 1/2 weeks to start on my car because an employee got jumped over the weekend, and was in the hospital. Another in the hospital for some reason. And they eventually had to fire someone else. All these reseaons I don't care about, and I had nothing to do with. But because they are having business problems, I have to pay the consequences. Then I had issues with the company sending them a replacement transmission because I had to find my own used replacement or pay to fix it that was going to be 3 times as much and not worth it at that price because of the damage on the broken one. After 2 weeks of waiting for that company to finally send the right part, they started getting mad at me for having my car there too long. Okay its fine, I understand they can be jerks, but then they all of a sudden found an issue with a bearing on clutch, so took it upon themselves to order a clutch to charge me an extra 372. When I asked if I could just order an upgrade clutch to get a heavy duty one, they told me they aren't accepting my parts no more. Mostly because they already order a clutch without asking me. I asked to be treated fairly, the lady proceeded to tell me, "do you really think all these other shops charge fair?" After a long argument with the lady, she told me to talk with the owner, but I had to wait till 2 because he would seem to never be there till 2 (even though they close at 6?). They even took away my $100 dollar coupon.

Just recently had my transmission rebuild by this guys and its working perfectly, I had gotten quotes from different shops and I couldn't find anyone that'd match warranty and price from them. So far really happy with the work they did.

He is the most Honest!!! Transmission guy around and his work and warrantys are excellent .I have a fleet of cars and I'll never trust anyone else.

I have a work buddy that got transmission work done by Affordable Transmissions which he highly recommended. That was 2 years ago. I called before business hours. Peli answered and offered to tow me if necessary. That was great. He asked me when I needed my car back to which I was reluctant to ask, "End of Today?", which just doesn't happen with a clutch job. Anyway, Peli said he could do it and he came through for me. Great Job!

This place is excellent. Peli the owner not only made special arrangements to get me back on the road to Missouri within a day and a half but actually let me stay in his home even inviting me to come back anytime in Utah. He and his workers really understand transmissions, showing me the rebuild room and explaining with another Honda Odyssey transmission (torn down) what would be possibly needed and which item would cause more cost but assuring me the worst case would not run over an agreed amount. Even though my Honda was 15 years old I got out cheaper than the worst case maximum amount. Honesty in the auto business for some reason is hard to find but this man is honest, knows his stuff, but more important cares about people. Since I was stranded without a car he loaned a family members car to me. Thanks Peli for everything and if you come to Missouri I will show you the hospitality you showed me.

I had two vehicles done by Affordable Transmissions over the last4 years, always had a great experience, beginning from them coming to my locations to pick up the trucks same Day, to being on budget and on expected completion times, We will strongly recommend this guys to anyone looking for transmission work in Utah

They were great when he got my old transmission out he had me come see what was bad and needed to be replaced instead if just tearing the old one out and putting a new one in then charging me the maximum quoted price.l also needed it fixed in a shorter amount of time that he said it would take and he still got it fixed

Great staff. Peli is very REASONABLE and UNDERSTANDING! Usually business' want things up front. However, Peli uses his compassion and descrition to his best effort. Doing what is best for the customer, and finding the best solution!!!

They charged me a lot to fix it and after a week my transmission was shifted really rough I took it back and they said it was normal to give it sometime but after 2 1/2 years it blew up so now I need a new transmission again. I took to another shop and they told me that they did a really bad job that they didn't put the radiator that the transmission needed

Got the job done and used a customer provided transmission that many other shops may not have done. Cost a bit more than originally quoted so not 5 star.

GREAT BUSINESS GREAT SERVICE. WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR A DECENT PRICE FOR THE REBULILDING OF MY 06 CHEVY IMPALAS TRANSMISSION. ASIPELITHE OWNER/MANAGER HERE AT AFFORDABLE TRANSMISSIONS MET AND SUPERSEDED ALL OTHER ESTIMATES THAT WERE GIVEN ME. ASIDE FROM THE PRICE THE WARRANTY IS GREAT AS WELL. I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO GO HERE FOR THEIR TRANSMISSION NEEDS AS WELL AS FOR OTHER CAR REPAIRS. THE DEALS ARE GOOD AFFORDABLE AND THE TURN AROUND TIME IS OUTSTANDING!;LAKI

They got the leak in the transmission pan seal. I would recommend these guys for fast and quality service.
