We took our car in due to low coolant. They did the diagnostic work and told me that they could get it done within the day. They wouldn't go the extra mile to honor a limited lifetime part warranty on a radiator that was done at a different shop. We couldn't drive the car to the other shop to get the work done so we were stuck paying for the new radiator also. They didn't absorb the diagnostic fee like most shops do (mind you the diagnostic would have taken 15 mins at the most). I asked them to replace the thermostat at the same time since the car would be taken apart he agreed but wasn't clear they would still charge the full labor on the additional job. When I called they did process a refund for part of the labor for the additional job. The work they did was quick but I don't know if I would take the car back there again.

My first experience here was not good. Garrett is the manager here. He is very good at making up theory to make anyone who is naive or new to vehicle issues spend more money... scam exposed! Try going to any automatic repair shop and act like you don't know anything about the vehicle. If you want an honest and trustworthy mechanic, avoid Garrett!

I was on my way to my Dr appointment and then the check engine light started flashing in my car. It started to shake and I pulled into a driveway and then I realized that I had pulled into Advance Service. Garrett explained that he could look at it later in the day and arranged for Jessica to drive me home. On the way home I asked Jessica if she could take to instacare instead which was close to my house as I was sick and needed medical attention. She happily agreed and dropped me off. Garrett was able to repair my car but I couldn't pick it up that night. The next day Garrett arranged for Jessica to pick me up and take me back to the shop. I was treated with compassion and the amount quoted was what I was billed. Extremely satisfied with the care that they provided for me and my car Ben.

Oil filter needs to be pressed in all the way in the cap, it wasn't. They don't even know how to do basic oil change on a bmw and call themselves "German Specialists," with some overfilled garbage oil.And 1 year after complete power steering refresh, main hose connecting to pump failed. They don't let you use your own parts and they cheap out as much as they can or inept technicians. And yea pretty much all fluid went on concrete.They don't like solving the root of the issue or cause more issues so you always comeback.

They gave me fair estimate and worked fast and it was cheaper than the estimate. They were very thorough and honest! So grateful for the work they did!

Talented technicians that stand by their work. As the auto industry experiences unprecedented challenges and changes, Advanced Service has the experience and connections to get tough repairs done right. Been a customer for 10 years. My favorite car has almost 300,000 miles on it and is still going strong because of their expertise.

This was my first time using Advanced Service and I was super impressed - I'll be using them for all my mechanic needs from here on out! A few things that really stood out to me -- The service manager was super helpful in describing what work they thought needed to be done on my car. He talked me through all of the work, explained what was necessary now and what I could plan on in the future, and gave me cost estimates (and an explanation of cost versus what I could expect to find at other service shops)- The pricing was all extremely fair - way less than I thought it would be - no high pressure sales tactics, and very reasonable prices.- Service was quick, professionally done, and easy to work with/coordinate over the phone. They were able to squeeze me in and out on the same day, which is awesome.- Everything was done contact-free (a huge plus in COVID times)- They left a little bag of homemade cookies in my car - how awesome is that?!Finding a trustworthy mechanic can be a royal pain, but I plan on bringing my car back to Bob and Julie for the foreseeable future. These guys are great! They always fix my issues, and the bill is usually cheaper than I expect! I have been taking my truck here for over a year, and I am so glad I did. The last place said I needed a new motor, but it was just a tune up and a oil change that did the trick. And they left home made cookies in my vehicle when they were done.

We happened to break down close by so limped the car there and took a chance on the reviews. It took a few days since it was end of day on a holiday weekend but was super impressed when they called and let us know what was going on and how much, but then followed it up after getting in to it more that it was actually a simpler cheaper fix, and got an oil change done as well. Very appreciative of their honesty and the cookies that were left in the car for us!

I stopped at this place for an oil change on my trip across United States. I was just passing through the city, but they were able to do an oil change for me. They also checked overall state of my car and gave me some recommendations. Even though they knew I won't come back, as I do not live in Utah, I felt like a valued customer. We suffered a catastrophic AC failure while on vacation. I showed them that one of our lines had burst and they took my truck right in. Within just a few hours we were back on the road and enjoying the cool air again. They were very professional and courteous. They even left homemade cookies for us after the repair. Also,they came in under the estimate. I would highly recommend this shop! Great experience at a not so great moment of our vacation, but they took care of us as if we were family.Service: Air conditioning

These guys are the best! Honest and fair with the work and pricing. I have been taking my car to them for several years now and I have always been treated with a fair and honest pricing and service. I own a BMW and they can be expensive to repair, however, the pricing is fair and not overpriced (like some shops I have used in the past). Garrett is awesome with his customer service skills and Bob is to be commended for having such a great group of guys. This shop is my "go to" for all of my automotive needs and if you give them a try, you will see for yourself.

There are very few places that work on BMWs. These guys are simply the best! I've had my BMW in to them three times. Each was an unexpected repair and they were really accommodating. They don't over charge and are honest guys. I am so happy I found them!

Good prices. But they had no idea how to align my vehicle they said something was broken. But I took it some place else and 30 minutes later it was aligned. They need to update they shop personal on different types of vehicles. But the office guy was nice. However they charged me 80.00 for only a front wheel alignment. Witch is the price for 4 wheel alignment. It's not my fault they couldn't do the job on a 1 year old vehicle. They need to update the waiting room. Maybe clean it once a year it was so disgusting.

I trust their advice. The final invoice always comes in below the estimate. They are busy and sometimes slow, but it's worth the wait.

A couple of years ago when my BMW 325 XI went out of warantee I started looking for someone to do the service. I chose Advanced Service Automotive mostly based upon their website. I think I have taken the car in four times since for various service. I am completely happy with the service I have received and have found the prices to be reasonable. I took the car in today due to an airbag warning light coming on. There was just something that needed adjusting on one of the sensors and was apparently easy to fix. I wasn't charged for the service. I look forward to taking the car in there because Bob and Julie are so friendly and look forward to the ride to work so we can talk about camping, fishing and the Utah outdoors. I wish I could give them more stars... they deserve it.

Fuel pump repair that cost $1200.00. Picked up my car and didn t even drive it 5 miles from my house before it shut off while in motion. Completely shut off. Called them they towed car back to the shop only for them to tell me now there s another problem with exhaust and would cost another $900 to $1000 to fix.Before I took car to their shop it was running smoothly. No issue except it just stopped running. Car came back running rough and shaking a bit. I m not happy with the quality of work. It s all about the Dead presidents.

I took my BMW 325xi here for a starter motor. I also had them diagnose and repair a few other things on that same car as well as do all of the major services (oil changes, fluid changes, etc..). Because I've had a great experience with them and am taking our Audi A4 to them for a coolant issue. After several years I am amazed at how great the service is (they always give me a ride to and from work), how clean their shop was, and how nice the people were. They had the most fair price and wouldn't take shortcuts in repairing my car. They are a great alternative to the dealership once your warranty runs out or just want a second opinion. Everything was done with the proper OEM parts and I really can't say enough about this place. The bottom line is I went there, they did good, I'm taking my car back to them.

I have taken a 91 BMW and an 03 BMW to them on more than one occasion. They have done great work at a reasonable price. I trust them implicitly. And they will even give me a lift if I need to leave my car there for an extended period of time.

Friendly, HONEST and quick!!! Very impressed with this shop and will definitely go there again. I took it to a different shop before I went here and they charged me $1600 and didn t even fix the main problem. Brought it here and they had it fixed within a few hours!! Easy appointment making. Alignment was done fast while I waited at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend them. And Bob and Julie make possibly the best snickerdoodle cookies I've ever had!

Would definitely not recommend. Went in for an aligment (quoted $99) and they told us a bunch of BS about the tirod end not being able to be loosened and the ball joints needing to be replaced. They quoted us $1,000. We immediately took it to 2 different reputable places for second opinions and they quickly told us it was not the case at all. Ball joints were completely fine and they were able to loosen the tirod without a problem. Ended up getting the alignment done elsewhere for $55.

Unexpected automotive issues are never a good thing, however I had as truly excellent an experience as possible with the repair of a failed coolant hose while I was in Salt Lake visiting friends and family. They did a quick, relatively inexpensive (but not cheap in the sense of bad quality), and friendly job. All in all I can't say enough good about them, if ever I need a mechanic in Salt Lake again I know where I'll be going!!
