Just needed front brakes and rotors. Got me in, did what was needed, checked my back brakes and verified they were good. Price was fair and they were fast - I left and they called me a few hours later when they were done. Just what I needed! I think Carl helped me and was great. Old school place - a little dirty and smelled of cigarettes.

Nate was pleasant and professional to me and to others that came into the shop while I was there. He inspected my car 2 days before a holiday weekend when my own auto tech said he was too busy. My wait was minimal. I would come here again and I would refer others.

Got my oil changed here yesterday.They charged me almost 80 dollars, and said that's what synthetic oil 'costs' - after the work had been done.Which, after some online & local store research - is totally false!You can get 5 quarts for around $25-40.This was by FAR the most expensive 'oil change' I have ever had.The owner, Nathan was cordial - but most definitely dishonest here.I will NOT be giving them any business in the future.I would recommend any readers to do the same, if they are willing to lie about oil prices, what else are they willing to lie about?Pro tip for the future:Don't use excessive profit margins to rip your customers off.

Recently my car was making a loud noise. I took it in to another shop and was told I needed all kinds of repairs equaling over $2600. I could not believe it. I took my vehicle here for a second opinion and was told it was only one thing that I needed to repair. They fixed my alternator and my car is running great. This store has now becoming my new place of business when it comes to my vehicles. They are great, honest and saved me hundreds of dollars. THANK YOU!

I was very disappointed. I spoke to a technician and he told me I could drop off my car in any two hour window and they would be able to fix my problem. Then I called in and asked if it would work to drop off the car in the afternoon for a couple of hours, the person who answered the phone said no. I asked if I could set up an appointment on Saturday, they said no, but to come in as early as possible on Saturday because it was on a first serve basis and they would get to my vehicle quickly. When I came in they told me I would have to drop off my car for the whole day. So what was the point of making me come in at 8am on a Saturday? They never mentioned I would have to leave my car the whole day. I left and after the flip flopping experience I have no intention on returning. I did have a previous positive experiences, but the bottom line is after this one I won't be returning.

If they had a zero star option I would have chosen it. This is the most ridiculous place I have ever gone to for car service. Came in early Saturday morning to get my emissions done. A little while later the manager, "Nate" comes in and tells me that I have a cross threaded lug nut that needs to replaced and that I will have to be charged $50 to replace one single lug nut. Basically another hour and a half passes before I go up to the desk and try and get a hold of somebody to find out why it is taking so damn long when I'm the only person sitting in the waiting room. Finally "Nate" comes out and rudely yells at me that they've found two other busted lugnuts and since I have locking lugnuts they need to go to Big O to get them. I ask if I'm going to charged for each lugnut and he says no. So the cost to fix one freaking lugnut is the same cost to fix any amount of them? Sounds completely unlogical. Another half hour or so later I see my honda fit pull into TUNEX from the main road, so what, they took my car to Big O to get the lugnuts?! Finally go to pay and I pay almost as much or more for what I thought would be a simple tire rotation as it did to get my emisssions done and pay the state fees. Bottom line, ridiculously long wait. Ruder than hell customer service. Manager made me feel like I was of zero importance to him and his location even though I'm spending over $200 there. I'd go as far as to say I wouldn't have been treated the way I was if I wasn't a woman. Now I get on Google Reviews and Yelp reviews and see how horribly other people have rated this location. Yeah, TUNEX? Go to hell.

I took in my 2002 Rav 4 for some work I knew it needed, plus the check engine light was on. They were good at letting me know what all the problems were, how much it would be and had it done that day. I even added emissions and inspection late in the afternoon and it was still done that day. It is nice to know that there is a shop close to me I can trust to work on my cars. Thanks to you all.

Not sure if I would ever recommend this tunex again. I used to bring all my vehicles here and refer friends here as well, however, my most recent experience has changed that. When I brought my truck here to be worked on to fix a warranty issue the manager got angry with me when I told him that I really need it done asap and argued with me and essentially had a complete lack of customer service. I had to stay and watch my truck the whole time to make sure they took care of it appropriately. I'm very disappointed in THIS Tunex.

My tire flew off the one time I went to a different Machanic and tunex was great! They fixed my car in a day! Then they gave me a call warning me about what else could possibly happen if I didn't get something else fixed! So I did and it runs better than ever!

I was planning on bringing my car into these guys so I called ahead to see if they want you to schedule appointments. Which they don't. Asked the guy how busy they where and if they could look at it right away and he said, "he doesn't know because he can't predict the future." Lost my business due to lack of customer care.

I recommend stay far away from this place.Nate, who is the manager, essentially told me my emergency wasn't important. I've always gone to the Tunex in South Jordan and now I know why I go there. They are polite and willing to help me find a solution to any of my problems.

The technicians over there are great and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone. The owner has a car wash in the same parking lot which is a huge plus!

Amazing service! These mechanics are always looking out for your best interest and will discuss the results with you rather than throwing out some mechanic jargon and a huge bill.
