I called Mike at 5:45 PM, after closing hours doing about 80 on the highway coming into Salt Lake airport for a business trip with my check engine light on. He was able to take my car do the work and have it ready to go when I got back from my business trip. I really appreciated that I was able to talk to a human being, especially after hours.I don t normally like going to a mechanic that isn t recommended or that I don t have the time to check out, given that I would recommend Mike and his team at M1, they took care of me, they did what they said they were going to do, when they were going to do it.

M1 is an honest shop that does great work. I have had repairs done here twice now, and I'm really happy with the communication, advice and repairs done. I definitely recommend them for their service. - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid

Mike and his guys took on a tough and complicated job that another shop told me was too much work! The guy's at M1 saw it as a challenge and tore into it and the results are freaking awesome! Mike stayed in touch the whole time and gave me updates, even showing me pictures! These guys know their stuff and have a customer for life, check them out you won't be sorry and the girls in the front office are knowledgeable and always treat you right!

M1 came recommended by a friend so I took my 2014 gmc sierra in for a diagnosis which they were able to schedule immediately. It ended up being worse case problem but Mike and his staff took care of me while putting my mind at ease going above and beyond on repairs even items I included. Work was completed sooner than expected , Everyone from the ladies at the counter to the guys in the shop were great to work with. Would recommend this place any day. Awesome job.

Took my last car there and my current car. They ve always been super nice and respectful and patient in my times of stress of having a broke down car. Wish they weren t so booked out sometimes but that s just me haha. 10/10 place. Affordable and luv that they have 3rd party financing to help out too:)

Mike did a fabulous job! Fixed everything to a perfectly running condition! New timing change! Almost a complete engine overhaul. Went way beyond what was required at no additional cost! The owner was so great! We rented a U-haul trailer from them. Completely went the extra mile and even helped us with the wiring on our vehicle when we couldn't get the trailer lights working. That alone will bring me back to the shop when I need vehicle repairs. Thanks so much, Mike!

We have been using M1 Auto repair for our car repairs for as long as they have been open. They are very professional, very honest and very easy to work with. As a business and people they are the best we have found in the Salt Lake Valley!!

The people at M1 were great to work with! Kept me up to date on what they needed to repair and the quote was exactly the same as I paid. Unfortunately, my truck was stolen from the lot, Mike did work with me on the cost of repairs needed. I have older vehicles from the early 90's with issues that need hard to find parts sometimes. Other shops can get me on the calendar in a couple of weeks and keep the car all week. M1 gets me in the next day and done in 2 days tops. They communicated well with me during the repairs. Couldn't be happier with their service. At the time I called M1 Auto they were booked however, they took my Maxima in and was able to squeeze me in into their tight schedule for a full diagnostic. Glad I took my car to them because they found more than the main reason I took the car in in the first place. Up front staff and phone rep was very personable and welcoming. I'd highly recommend their services. I like their old school vibe approach of business. As far as pricing, it was to be expected as inflation have affected all floors of businesses. Per my son's outlook because he was with me ... the price is mainly labor costs. So to conclude, after receiving our Maxima's full diagnosis ...my son opt to work on it to cut cost. Diagnostic sure helps pinpoint issues that our eyes can't fully see. Thanks M1 Auto!!

I read all the reviews and they were all good but one. Mike answered the bad review. Good answer. I know if I left messages and no one called me back, I would go into the shop. I called and mike fit me in pretty quick. Nice man. Car works great. I thought the price was fair. Overall, I was very happy. I just moved to Utah from Colorado. I feel lucky I found an honest auto repair shop from the get go. I will use them again for sure!Service: Electrical repair

Very professional shop. They kept me informed about my daughter s car progress. They were having problems re-programming the system and they went beyond and brought a technician familiar with my daughter s car and were able to fix the problem. I am very pleased with their work and professionalism. Thank you!

Mike and his crew do a great job. One of the newly installed control arms on my wife's mini-van had a manufacturer defect. Fortunately, it was covered under their warranty. Mike got it in and replaced the problem control arm. I highly recommend M1 Auto. Car repairs are never fun, but I really appreciate M1's quality of work and especially their integrity.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto battery maintenance, Oil change

By far the best customer service from an auto shop. They were able to help me out and got my car running like normal after having a fuel issue on my Infinity G37. Also had to have my car towed to their shop and they made it super easy to have my car dropped off with them. Not only did they explain they would fix my car, but they were awesome in keeping the work at a low cost and as close to the quote given. But the cherry on top was the fact that the owner Mike was kind enough to text me to make sure the car was still running good. Have never had anybody do that before. Definitely speaks highly about their quality. Super thankful for them and will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto maintenance

This is an honest review from a customer that just walked in to their shop not knowing who they are...M1 The most Honest straight forward shop I know. Integrity is not a thing of the past. Gave me a very fair estimate on my fuel tank replacement and EVAP code, and STUCK to the quote even when the repair required more! They also personally followed up with me after to make sure everything was still good! Soon after referred my son to them for his truck repairs and again they went above and beyond the quoted price. Easy to schedule, very quick turn around. I own several cars and I will continue to use them for EVERY repair. INTEGRITY IS ALIVE AND WELL at M1 Auto Repair.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my company truck to M1 Auto to have the front suspension repaired. I work for a Radio-communication company, we do a lot of off road ATV type work to travle to communication towers. We had a very spur of the moment repair need which M1 Auto was able to facilitate. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price in a responsive time! I will do business with them again in the future.

Took my vehicle in and was told I needed a part, I paid for the part an other costs as suggested. My vehicle then continued to act up so I took it back and was told it was just a fluke and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. My vehicle then died on me and I had to get it towed which could have been avoided had it been diagnosed correctly the 1st or at least by the 2nd time they looked at it. Towed my vehicle to a different mechanic to be repaired. Staff is friendly and I like their system for seeing/understanding and paying for your invoice.

I ve had M1 Auto work on my vehicle twice now. I have had a variety of services preformed from a new fuel pump to a new alternator & battery. I can hands down say I trust them and recommend them for others who are in search of a honest/trustworthy mechanic. Both times I got my car back the next day-and that s with multiple repairs being done to it! Not only are they thorough with their work, they update on the process/straight forward with what needs to be done, and get you back on the road safely! Even when I invest in a newer vehicle I definitely will be returning. You will be in good hands here!

I have been taking my cars to M1 auto for several years now. Mike, the owner, has an extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of automotive repair. With M1 Auto, I never have to take my car back because it was not fixed right or because they fixed the wrong thing. This is a rare thing in my experience in dealing with auto mechanics, including dealership repair departments. When one goes to a dealership, you do not get to talk to the mechanic that actually made the repairs. You have to talk to the service manager. I like dealing with Mike because he explains in detail what was repaired and why the repair was necessary. The prices at M1 Auto are very reasonable. M1 saves me time and money. I have two Toyotas with over 150,000 miles on them and, with Mikes help, they just keep running like new.M1 Auto is a full service auto repair shop. They continue to provide value in how they take care of my cars. My Avalon now has 212,000 miles and they keep it running like new. Good service and did not overcharge. I like a place that can fully and easily explain the charges on their invoice. I have an old truck that wasn t blowing cold air anymore. Mike explained that a hose fitting had failed, allowing the refrigerant to leak out. He replaced the bad fitting for free then refilled the reservoir. The air conditioning blows cold air now. Their key drop is solid too, something I felt comfortable dropping my keys into. Good place to get AC fixed, I d be willing to go back for other repairs too.
