This shop is very trustworthy and honest and respectful. I take both my Acuras here, I have had suspension and engine work done on both cars and each time it was done in a timely manner and with reasonable pricing. All staff are professional and they answer/show any concerns or questions you had about the repairs. 100% recommend to anyone.

My experience with this auto repair shop has been truly outstanding. The management and staff have consistently impressed me with their kindness and willingness to go the extra mile, especially when dealing with my daughter's car, which often requires attention due to its rebuilt title. Their commitment to excellence and affordability stands out. I'm so grateful to George, Manny, and the entire team! I plan to continue using Iron Hand Garage for all my auto repair needs, avoiding dealerships whenever possible. Thanks guys!!! You re the best!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IRON HAND GARAGE!! I took my suburban in to Iron hand garage because I had a check engine light on and after they hand verbally quoted me some costs to replace 02 sensors. Initially I went in to have 02 sensors replaced and I had the parts already because I had a diagnostic test done at Oreilly. They were aware of me having parts and said they would be happy to help. I was told it would cost $250-300 for labor to replace 2 upstream o2 sensors for labor. It seemed high but I know replacing the 2 downstream in my driveway on supports it took me some struggling to change so I brought the Suburban in to have the work done. After dropping off the suburban Manny called and claimed there was a not refundable 150 dollar diagnostic test before they would do the work. They said none of the 150$ would be applied to repair costs. I didn't agree to the diagnostic so we decided they would do nothing and I would then later pick up the suburban. Awhile later I received a call from George who apologized and said they did not disclose the diagnostic fee before so they would wave the diagnostic charge. So I agreed to have the work done again. They ran the diagnostic and claimed there was no code for 02 sensor instead it was for a gasket which was leaking air and causing the check engine light. They quoted me over $400 to replace the gasket. I will be checking the labor repair suggested time for the repair later and will update as needed. So they repair the gasket and and it does not fix the check engine light. They claim it's now reading and bad MAF (mass air flow sensor) and they said they could repair it for me for 232$. I declined the repair and ordered the part online for $35 and replaced the MAF sensor myself in 15mins. I'm wondering why an honest shop would quote me such a ridiculous dishonest charge for the replacement of such a easy and cheap repair like the MAF sensor. This is not an honest mechanic repair shop. Yes I told them I was not in an extreme hurry but still wanted the suburban back soon. They took 4 days to contact me about the diagnostic test initially and another 3 business days plus weekend to complete the work just to find a repair I may of never needed ultimately because the check engine light did not go off. Since I replaced the MAF sensor the check engine light is still on in my suburban. IMO If they were honest they would have tried to clean the MAF sensor for me first because they want to help and not try to rake their customer over the coals for additional costs. To be clear there was no handshake and the smile I try to always have even when being taken advantage of. Did your professional diagnostic clear my check engine light? NO! Are you saying autoparts stores are doing an injustice by providing free diagnosis to their customers and they could not possibly diagnose the problem for repair unless done by a professional shop. All these years having fixed problem after problem based off the diagnosis of a measly autoparts store clerk. Who'd of thunk. Also I have fixed many an issue with aftermarket parts that work as good or better than OEM. I used OEM parts that are junk many times. OEM proves nothing but expensive. Glad you use the most expensive parts with your customers but that still does not justify $232 for a MAF sensor replacement. Did you offer to clean the MAF sensor to see if that's all it needed? NO! You were booked out days and when I got there after eight the one tech was sitting doing nothing, there were no vehicles in the shop prepped for work and the second tech came into the building after me which was after eight am. LMFAO!! I know what's right in front of my face. No I'm not interested in getting screwed by diagnostic fees that don't solve the problem. BTW the after market 02 sensors I used must have fixed the problem since the "professional" diagnosis stated there was no O2 code. All four O2 sensors cost me less than one OEM sensor online.

I took my Jaguar XJL to multiple shops, including Jag of SLC, and had an amazing range of quotes and diagnostics to fix it. I spent about $550 in diagnostics from three shops to fix an oil leak - with quotes as high as $12,000.00. An honest shop that told me they couldn't work on it, suggested Iron Hand Garage. I rolled the dice and took it to this out-of-the-way shop that doesn't look like much from the outside... but guess what? They crushed it! And they did it for a fraction of what other garages wanted and George was honest enough to give me a laundry list of things that other shops quoted - that absolutely didn't need to be done! As long as they're in business, I'll be taking my cars there!!Service: Engine repair

Jorge is a rare breed. These guys are knowledgeable, professional, expedient, and thorough. Everything you could ever want from a mechanic. I had an issue with my Chevy Cruze turbo diesel and other shops turned me away due to "parts not available", Jorge and his team was able to get my car fixed and running perfect without any excuses. The price was exceptionally fair as well. Wish I could rate 10 stars.Services: Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Auto exhaust system repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection

I don't have a dedicated mechanic in the area yet, so I've been searching for someone I trust to work on my cars. I discovered Iron Hand Mobile Service through a friend of mine, so I decided to give them a shot. The service they provide is so convenient because THEY come to YOU.I checked their website and decided to contact them via email and let them know the work I needed. I have a Toyota Prius and a Volvo S60 which both needed minor repairs and an oil change, nothing major. I woke up to an email from Jorge, the owner of IHMS, who responded promptly, giving me a very reasonable quote for the work I requested. VERY reasonable price for being a mobile service.Jorge was courteous and very easy to work with. I appreciated that he was very honest in the work he performed and he texted me letting me know what other work needed to be done (changing air filter). This is my expectation of my mechanic, and Jorge exceeded! He allowed me to take a peek in his trailer. He has a very robust mobile tool-shed, so if you're worried whether or not he can perform a specific task, ask him first, because most likely he has the tool & the experience for the job.Jorge did an awesome job on our vehicles. Fast and efficient and clean work. I highly recommend Jorge for your vehicle needs. He does specialize in diesel service/repair, however, it seems he can work on just about anything with an engine. I'll be contacting him for any future vehicle servicing.Found my new mechanic.

Two weeks ago, our truck had some electrical issues. Fixed as much as we could but realized we needed extra help. I called this shop and George answered the phone. Being a female I was nervous because often we get taken advantage of. Not with these guys. He listened to what I said, the issues and gave me solutions. We had our truck towed to their shop and truly they were the kindest people. They got the truck up and running. The pricing was fair and much better than I could have ever received where we live in Wyoming. Very professional and helpful. If you are ever looking for someone to get mechanical work from, please pick these guys. They do not disappoint and don t rip you off! What an amazing experience.Service: Electrical repair

After the Subaru dealership botched an oil change, I definitely wasn t letting them do the brake job they recommended. Iron Hand Garage got me in quick and cost more than a hundred dollars less than Subaru. I ll be back!

I am a single female, and I have had some bad experiences with auto repair services in the past. I walked away from Iron Hand understanding what was going on with my car, trusting that the problem had been taken care of, and paying much less than I would have if I had gone to the dealership. He was knowledgeable and thorough, and this is where I m going for any future car needs!
