This place is excellent, they fix any issues, professionals, affordable, no other places around is better than it is worth for the prize! great service to take my car for maintaining and taking care of. I had issues with the rocker arms on my S4 B9 were having some ticking noise and just fixed just few days! Is running much smother. Pretty amazing !

I went in for a timing chain replacement. After paying over $3000, I drove the car 120 miles when the engine seized. I paid an additional $5000 to cover the difference for a new engine (they wanted to replace it with a used engine) and just did the first engine service. Well, I found that the engine had at least 3 quarts more than the 5 required. Thank God the engine held up. I would NEVER take my car back there or recommend them to anyone. There's a list of other issues I had with them during this nightmare, so beware if you leave your vehicle at this shop.

The service was above and beyond.Kaden helped take care of me and my TDI, they got the parts same day and I was back on the road quickly.If you have a German vehicle, come to these guys and get it taken care of.

I never leave reviews but I really wanted to say how amazing this team is.It is the first time ever that as a woman I get to interact with a shop who actually care, is respectful and doesn t try to rip me off by throwing at my face random things to fix on the car with no explanation. They tried to brainstorm and understand what is going on with my car and gave me an honest opinion.I wish I remembered the name of the person I worked with, but the communication is excellent and they put to shame a lot other car repair shop!I highly suggest!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I bought a 2006 Audi A4 Quattro s-line because my son wanted it. It was 14 years old and looked great. It had a suspension issue and After Audi of (sounds like knee high) looked at it and quoted me $1300 which seemed reasonable but i was told by a friend to just check out German Auto Specialists. Vincen and Kaden looked at it told me it would cost $300 for the exact same service and I have been a loyal customer ever since.No mechanic can predict the future but a good one will make recommendations based on years of working on cars that are similar. Vincen is very easy to work with. I appreciate his flexibility getting my car in quickly. He went the extra mile to set the clock and calendar after the work I took it in for was completed. I hadn't asked for that. It was a bonus. Thank you German Auto Specialist, my only Audi repair place.

Vincen went the extra mile helping me out. I use these guys for my Volkswagens, I brought in my Jetta and they took care of the issue by replacing my pulleys, and belts. They did an amazing job and they get the work done perfect. I will be bringing my Jetta back for my new rear brakes and their pricing is very good as well. I really like these guys, and I like being able to have trust worthy technicians! You guys are awesome!! They took the time to even show me the parts they replaced, and in what condition they were in.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

My Volkswagen had some issues that another mechanic was unable to diagnose. I commute a lot for work, and couldn't afford to be without a working vehicle for long.Even though he didn't have any open spots, Vince was able to squeeze me in. He went above and beyond and was able to fix the problem within 2 days. Vince really knows his stuff and I'm really grateful for the way he helped me out of a tough situation for a fair and competitive price. Great customer service! Would highly recommend.

Can t speak enough about Kaden and the owner.They ve always been professional, helpful and absolute stand up individuals. If you have a German vehicle definitely bring it to them for any needs whatsoever. Another shop told me my motor might have to be tore down to fix the air conditioning system. They diagnosed and were able to work with my warranty company and saved me in a huge way. If you re in the salt lake area, definitely bring your car to them for any needs automotive.

This place is awesome! I've taken my VW Turbo Beetle here several times now since I moved to Salt Lake County for a variety of things - water pump, oil leaks, trunk latch issues, and other stuff and I always have a good experience. They know their stuff about Volkswagens. They have gone above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating of me and answer any questions I have.I never have felt like I'm being taken advantage of here or misled to spend and fix more than is needed like I have at places like Big O in Spanish Fork and the service department at the Orem Volkswagen dealership. I've had a handful of experiences at other places trying to get my car diagnosed and repaired where I felt talked down to and also felt unsure if they're being honest with me. Not the case with this shop

I will admit, without Vince this place wouldn t deserve the full 5 stars.. but that s not necessarily a bad thing. I think the main reason why this is such a great and successful shop is because Vince works so closely with his team and doesn t let management get in the way of getting his own hands dirty! This helps with quality work and shows he cares more about the shop than just sitting at his desk and letting his techs do all the work without knowing what s going on. The techs all seem great and the tech that worked on my car had a hefty job and so far, he brought it back to full health and I m satisfied with the outcome. Even with the very minor issue that brought me back, Vince didn t hesitate to correct the problem. In the end, although I hope nothing major brings me back to the shop, I wouldn t go anywhere else. Thanks guys

Edit: I just barely noticed today what GA replied to my review and I wanted to clear up what the misunderstanding was. No, it wasn t that I didn t know when my appointment was, and they forgot to remind me?I wanted the price included in a text/email format to have proof so they wouldn t flop their quotes once it s time to pay. And THEY forgot when my appointment was. I was just being generous with my original review.What happened is that I came in to get my 2012 Mini fixed. They said $1,000 is what it would cost. I told them that s great because everyone else was quoting way higher. So I scheduled an appointment for the following week, brought my car early in the morning as asked, I come in and no one is aware that I m scheduled. Everyone looked very confused, finally they said it will just take a day longer. During the first day, the manager calls me and double checks with me what price was set. I replied $1,000, and he cut me off saying no that we agreed on $1,300. Mind you, I spoke with one of his employees, I never talked to the manager while discussing the price. After arguing back and forth I said it s fine I ll just pay that, I just wanted my car fixed. Then two days later when my car was done, I got notified that they did another service on it that I didn t ask for, I ended up having to pay $1,500 now. Later my friend, who is a mechanic, told me the part they charged me for wasn t even replaced.I didn t drive my Mini a lot since we have about 7 vehicles on the parking lot. A couple weeks after, my oil light came on as yellow, so I went to German Auto again because regular places didn t work on minis. Got my oil checked, just a regular maintenance thing. They filled the oil. Right after my car was returned the oil light was now red and going out of control, making noise every couple of seconds. I decided to go and have German Auto inspect it once again, but this time they told me I have $6000 worth of fixes to do. Someone, please tell me how does a car that was throughly inspected weeks prior and barely driven get $6000 worth of problem in just a few weeks??? They kept trying to convince me those fixes needed to be done ASAP.I lost all of my trust in this place, and haven t gone since and never will. It s unfortunate how badly mechanics take advantage of people. I wouldn t go to this place unless you know what you are talking about, otherwise you re just their next bait.I get that German vehicles are expensive to fix and maintenance is regular, but this place does shady things. I would get at least 3 other opinions before believing what German Auto says. I hope my review is beneficial to some, and that you ask for a hard copy of the quote agreed upon inspection!!!Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Very intelligent, they take good care of your vehicle. This is one shop you can trust to be honest with you, plus they are about half the price of other BMW mechanics. You need someone you can trust and these guys are them. Just a heads up tho, make an appointment because they are busy.Thank you German Auto Specialists I appreciate the outcome more then you know. Black BMW 335i F30 with exhaust plug, air suspension and mysterious check engine light.

They were so detailed with their review. Our car has a bunch of issues and for only $50 they gave us a complete report about our car, there are so many stuff to be fixed. I appreciate their hard work. Best auto specialist I have been in Utah.

There is not a better car mechanic in the world and I am very serious. Vincen is an absolute professional. His pricing is great and most importantly he is honest. I have referred many people to him and everyone has been happy with him. I have never heard one complaint ever. He has also helped me get tires for my Toyota by calling in some favors. I cannot say enough good about this man. If you need something repaired and an honest opinion go here!

I have found Vince and his team to be very honest. They don't try to upsell you, their pricing is fair, and they stand behind their work. They replaced an expensive part on my car, and when we discovered the replacement part was faulty from the factory, they immediately replaced it again under their warranty program with no charge and zero questions.

Took my 2017 Q5 to another mechanic for a rear bearing quote, was more than double what Vincent at German Auto Specialists charged me. Will be coming back here for any future maintenance and repairs. Great mechanic!

I turned to this shop after my VW dealership said "no trouble found" with a complaint I had. This shop quickly diagnosed my problem. Even though I told them that I'd have my dealer do the fix (under warranty) the shop didn't mind and treated me great. Respectful and knowledgeable people!

I had a great experience. Scheduled a clutch replacement for next week and had a coil pack go bad on me before the appointment. Had the car towed to him 2 days before my scheduled appointment. He was able to squeeze the fix into his schedule and had it back a day before my regularly scheduled appointment!! Outstanding!

Great service, excellent shop to maintenance my BMW Z4. Vincen is the owner operates an excellent shop. Prices cheaper than the dealer for a fraction of the cost. Owning a German vehicle it's hard to find a shop that is trustworthy yet reasonable in price. I came in for an oil change and check for any oil leaks. Vincen assured me that nothing was wrong with the vehicle and didn't try to up-sell me on something I didn't need such as a air filter or a windshield wipers.I appreciate that this shop does not ask or bribe customers with incentives just to give them a good review online. That's why I give them 5 stars.Thanks Vincen and Staff!

Great service!!! Had car problems with my BMW. I tried to tackle them myself and gave up after getting more engine codes and in dire need of my car. Researched around for a reputable BMW mechanic and gave Vincen a call for a quote. His diagnostic and labor price was very reasonable. I had it towed there last night and talked to him at 9am when he opened. 930 he calls and gave his diagnosis - bad fuel pump. He gave me a price and i said go ahead. 1130 he calls and says that its done and was running well but has some concerns to address.I stopped over right after work and he pointed out some areas of concerns and showed me on my car. I was in disbelief! Those areas were worked on by a mechanic not even a year ago and has failed again! That just shows that there are crooked mechanics out there but not this guy.Vincen got my repairs done super fast and reasonably priced. He is now my dedicated BMW mechanic for life. Thanks man

STAY AWAY! This place while seemingly professional and honest up front, took advantage of us for $2000. We're fine to pay for things we need, it's not the price of repairs that matters, it's how unethical they were about it. They mis-diagnosed a major issue, and also heavily recommended a full brake service 10,000 miles before it was due. Charged us FULL price for both, with well over 2X markup on parts. Then when it came time to fix their misdiagnosis, they charged us to replace a $500 part that even BMW doesn't recommend for this service. This is just the classic auto-repair system where they act like everything wrong they did was the customer's fault and responsibility. They had no accountability for their mistakes.When speaking with the owner John, he indicated that they would "definitely take care of us on the price" to correct his technician's missteps. Yeah, that didn't happen. The original labor and parts were still on there for fixing the WRONG thing, and he applied a $300 discount to the actual repair that we needed. The problem? He marked up all the parts $500 OVER street price (the price an average Joe can buy it for), meaning the "discount" was just deception to make it look like he was doing us a favor. Just plain dishonest.Don't go here. Period.

He was great!! :) My engine light came on and he got me in the day after I made the appointment. He was honest and pretty fair. I have a 2010 VW TDI and he knew how to take care of her, its not easy finding a mechanic that knows how to work on German cars. My engine needed a glow plug replaced, it was suppose to take an hour but it only took him 30 minutes and he adjusted the quoted price and gave me a break on the installation of the glow plug because it didn't take him as long. Plus he replaced the battery in my fob and replaced a blown fuse for pretty cheap. He even showed me the glow plug that he was putting in, pretty cool. He charges less for labor then the dealers,and he was very reasonable on the parts. I was very impressed with my experience, he even let me go back into the shop to show me the filters that he was replacing. He took great care of my car. :) While I was waiting a gentleman came in and asked if he worked on Mercedes he told the gentleman that He doesn't work on Mercedes, but he will tell you that up front so he didn't waste his money or his time. The guy is pretty good and he is pretty honest. I recommend him to all my friends and anyone who has a VW, Audi, Mini, or BMW's. :)

I appreciate Vince working with me to get my car fixed after being a loyal customer for the past 4 years. While fixing some minor repairs on a Friday the technician fixing my car broke a major enough part before close that made it un-drivable. I had no car for the weekend. I rely on my car to get me to and from work and my kid to and from school. As frustrating as that was to cope with he did a great job at working with me to make up for the incident. Thank you.

Needed a new coolant expansion reservoir and flush. Did for 380 dollars. Did this the next day and finished quickly. Initially I went to elite auto specialist. They wanted to charge $612 and also did charge $140 for diagnostic tests even though we showed them where the leak was.

I own 2 VW GTIs and have been taking them to German Auto Specialists the past 2 years.The prices are very reasonable and the work is performed correctly the first time in a timely fashion.Vince is very accommodating when scheduling work and is a very nice.
