Josh and his team were so great! They got my breaks and rotors fixed for me at a very good price. Honest working people over there and explained everything to me! Will definitely be going back for future needs. They did an absolutely amazing job! Living in Utah it is hard to find a good company you can trust and they did just that! They do amazing work and are knowledgeable on modified cars! I will be going back!

I started going to see Josh after my brother referred him to me. I am a single woman and I don t know much about cars so I have been taken advantage of by mechanics in the past. I was honestly Skeptical of Josh at first but just because of my past experiences and nothing to do with him. After him working on my Subaru maybe a handful of times, I am happy to say that Josh has earned my trust. and I am so grateful that I have a mechanic that does great work, is trustworthy, is reasonably priced and just all around a good guy. My brother not only has me going there but also my other brother and my niece. He does good work and clearly knows what he s doing. He doesn t upsale you on anything unless it s needed. He cost less then dealership but honestly better customer service then dealership. Kinda a small town feel.great customer care. He is just an all around good guy.

As a foreigner unfamiliar with cars, I was concerned about finding a trustworthy and honest mechanic. They are well-known for their transparency and quality work and my experience at this shop perfectly aligned with my expectations. Josh answered all of my questions about my vehicle. Second to none! I usually do my own car work, but my son's Subaru had a leaking power steering rack and broken CV axle that I didn't have the time or patience to deal with. Josh was able to quickly get OEM parts and get us back on the road. I'm a car care nut, so I'm particular about how work is done and Josh and team didn't disappoint. This was just a "normal" Subaru, but Josh is a car guy and works on heavily modded cars, engine swaps/rebuilds too. Something for me to keep in mind, should I decide to get something fun again someday.

Josh was extremely helpful and such a nice guy. Fixed my son's Subaru for less than 1/2 the price of another repair shop estimate. And was able to fit us in knowing we were in a crunch to take the car to college out of state! By far the best customer service. Josh is very knowledgeable and excellent at communicating. Prices are more than reasonable, and the work is second to none. They have fixed my power steering and have fixed my engine and some oil issues. Great service from a place you can trust.

Have taken multiple different Subarus in to Josh and have had an amazing experience with him and getting my cars fixed. Very welcoming and kind and knows his stuff. Has a couple of cute dogs also there with him sometimes in the office. Over all love this place. Check him out he's a great guy!

I recently needed my Subaru Outback diagnosed for a misfire. I found Flatout on a Google search and scheduled an appointment, and am glad I did. Josh was quick to diagnose, and kept me in the loop during the entire process. His prices are fair, and its nice to know that the money is going to a small business. Josh was great and appreciate the time and detail he took to explain to me what my dealership was trying charge me in a repair quote. After looking at my car, he was able to determine what really needed to be addressed vs the extras the dealership was trying to charge me. Appreciate his honesty and great work. Also he has two awesome dogs at his shop!

Josh is very knowledgeable about what your car needs and how to go about addressing the issue's. If your car does not need something, he will also let you know, which I always appreciate his honesty. The services so far performed on my 2007 Subaru WRX wagon at Flatout has been an oil change, the timing belt/water pump service, replacing hoses to stop an engine oil leak, alignment and installation of stainless steel brake lines. Josh (owner) does great work. He has worked on 3 of my cars, jobs including: a transmission swap, custom roll bar, and custom alignments. My cars always turn out great. He is very knowledgeable and can usually point you in the right direction if you are having an issue with your vehicle. Thanks Flat Out automotive for your continued support of the car enthusiast!

Josh is a phenomenal mechanic, and he is trustworthy. We've been burned before when taking our Subaru to a big national-chain mechanic, and we've learned our lesson. You need to find a trustworthy mechanic who is knowledgeable about your car. Josh knows Subarus, and we certainly trust him with our Subaru. We live in Utah County, but driving up to his shop is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Great experience. Josh is extremely friendly, and knowledgeable. I had some issues with my Fiesta ST that stumped 2 other shops, and Josh was able to get it figured out. Highly recommend anyone reading this to give Josh your business. The clutch on my '03 WRX suddenly started slipping around 95,000 miles. I contacted a local auto repair shop to see if they could replace it. They said they would call me after the holiday weekend but never did. I found Flatout online and made an appointment. My car was barely operable when i dropped it off there. Josh procured and installed the upgraded clutch i wanted along with some worn out shifter bushings. The final bill was very close to the original price quote. I have been enjoying the new clutch and improved shifter feel.Very happy with Flatout and Josh. I do most of the work on my car but will definitely go back for any jobs i don't want to attempt. Thanks!!!!

Josh did a great job diagnosing and repairing my old Subaru when it developed a recurring misfire. He specializes in Subarus but I'd trust his knowledge on any car.

I love the customer service at flatout. Josh the owner is very personable and will give it to you straight. No BS. He does great work and the prices are great. I drive 40 miles to take my cars to him because of the great work he does and the trust i have in him.

Do you own a Subaru? Then this is THE only place to take your car for service in UT. Seriously. Josh is crazy knowledgeable, super nice, very efficient, and absolutely exceeds expectations. Do not hesitate, call Josh today. (By the way he works on other cars too, but he s basically a Subaru whisperer).

I have taken my car to Flatout Automotive A few times now, everytime I get greeted with quality service and a friendly attitude. Josh is the go to guy for work needing to be done he is very good at it and doesn't push you into anything you.dont need, give fantastic advise answers any questions you have and will get whatever you need done in a very timely matter. And to top it off you gotta hang out with the shop dogs they are awesome and super sweet. Flatout has definitely made me a life customer. Anything from wheels and alignments, to full builds and typical repairs go here and no where else!!

Josh is a great dude, did a timing service on my 1991 Miata, got it done in no time at all, for an awesome price, and the work was done perfectly, car runs great! I'd definitely recommend him for any service that you need.

Sad day when my car was hit in my apartment parking lot, at night. My insurance recommended this place and in a pinch I had my car towed there. The manager contacted my son on Facebook and asked him to remove our cars from the lot because they don t do body work. We informed the shop we were waiting for the insurance adjuster to contact us. No sympathy they told us to get them off their lot. Pulled up and they weren t even busy no cars were in the lot my car was off to the side out of the way. Not affecting business. No empathy is a big thing to me. So sorry I won t recommend this shop

It s easy to see why this shop has such good reviews. Josh got me in right away when I was worried about some numbers on my AP. Very knowledgeable, he eased my concerns and took the time to explain a few areas of the car that I should keep my eye on, and what to be looking for.
