My daughter was stranded outside of West Wendover, Nevada and Salt Flats towing made it a priority to come and get her car and get it to their yard before it got dark. AAA said there would be a 4 hour wait for a tow, but Salt Flats intervened and made it there in 40 minutes! What a relief! Then upon inspection it was determined that she had blown an engine and would need a replacement, hers was beyond repair. They were able to locate a used engine at half the price of a new one and made all the repairs necessary within the week. She was back on the road and safely home with the excellent service and kind attention of the Salt Flats crew! Thanks especially to Omar for his kind attention and helping attitude. What a pleasure to do business with this wonderfulgroup of people. Thank you from a grateful mom!

I accidentally got my car stuck in the salt flats and I was out in 30 minutes. They were very helpful on the phone, giving me advice to get it out before having to come over themselves, as well as in person. If you re ever in need of a quick and reliable tow, call these guys.

Desperate times call for desperate measures which is why forking out $600 didn t seem like too much at the time to get our rental car out of the salt. Steven was straight to the point, asked for our location and pictures to get the mudcat out to us.It wasn t till after I gave him the complete card information that he disclosed this transaction is nonrefundable once the phone disconnects and that someone will be out there within 45 minutes. We were trying to work with AAA but they wouldn t be out for hours, so we agreed and ended the call.Fortunately, we did get someone out in 43 minutes and were out with no lasting damage to the car. The gentleman who got us out was very kind and helpful, overall it was a good experience minus forking out an expensive car payment for a mistake.Great business model as there is a demand but geez it s rough being on the consumer side.

Amazing people! They were able to talk us through how to get ourselves unstuck from the Salt Flats. I can t thank them enough for being so helpful and saving us hundreds of dollars from having to get towed!

I took a little working vacation and my new van and decided hey it'd be fun to drive on the salt flats... Went way too far and got myself idiotically stuck... Probably about halfway to the axle. At first they tried to just give me advice to get myself out... But after they got my pictures and GPS coordinates they knew I was hosed. So they sent a special piece of equipment out there that cost $900 bucks... But it got me out without damaging the vehicle. I was stuck and unstuck within about an hour and a half... Very good service... Expensive, but when you have to pay to load and unload a special piece of equipment... Basically a small cat with tracks... I can see how it would get expensive. An embarrassing way to find yourself with a brand new vehicle, but that's life sometimes.

Charged me 1,600 for a 338 mile tow and he only completed 50 miles of the 338 mile tow. Dropped me off at a hotel and said good luck. Dude spoke barely any English, gave me condescending looks the whole ride and was very hard to have small talk with him. It s almost like he has something against gringos. I was very polite with him the whole time and he didn t tell me that he wasn t comfy driving in a bit of snow until he went in the bathroom for an hour and left his car running at the gas station and then when he got back I had to ask him Like what s going on and he finally said that he wasn t comfortable driving in a little bit of snow. The whole drive he s asking me to do his directions for him and check the weather for him and I also had to put my car in neutral for him and steer the car up the ramp for him aswell. Like I m not paying you $1600 for me to do all the work and not have you communicate with me at all. Like have some respect for the customer man. I had a great experience with salt flats towering the day before this but today was god awful. Had a great experience with a dude who has been towing for a year on the 9th of January and had a terrible experience with a guy who has been towing for 6 years today the 10th of January.On top of all this pretty sure they took a battery bank and charger I had and refused to give it back. The one driver took it.

I m super thankful for Salt Flats Towing. We needed roadside assistance as we ran out of fuel on a road trip and they met us within 30 minutes with some gas. They were very communicative and efficient. Thanks for coming to our rescue!

Literal life savers! Got a flat right outside of SLC at 4am in 20 degree weather and our jack broke. They were the only one to answer their phone for us and sent someone as quick as they could. We didn t care how long we had to wait being over an hour away. We were just so glad they could help us.

Highly recommend these guys. I ran out of gas on i80 west about 40 miles from Wendover, totally stranded and it was hot as hell in the middle of no where. Called Salt Flats and asked if they could bring gas as a service and the service man pulled up in about 30 mins and filled my tank almost half way. Total blessing and I really appreciated it!

Had to get my jeep towed when it broke down on a cross country trip. Steve was amazing and friendly. He called me to update me on his ETA, made shop recommendations based on our location, and was a joy to chat with as he gave my brother and I a ride with my jeep to the repair shop. While I hope I never have to use a tow company for this sort of thing, but if I do, I hope that they are as good as Steve was. Thank you guys for helping me and my brother!Service: Car towing

Had brake chamber bracket break and called other companies no one would touch it Sheldon came and looked and got it fixed for me wouldn t except can t be done for an answer he pays excellent attention to detail and doesn t get in a rush I would recommend them again

We called them and arranged to have our side by sides pulled out. We agreed on a price and location. Even dropped them a pin so they new where to go. After showing up they said price increased 1500 hundred dollars, and it was to far to go. They charged are credit card already and then bailed on the job. Not only are we still stuck, but we have been charged for service that was never performed. I left one star because I have to to leave a review.Service: Special vehicle towing

Son is home safe. Vehicle is home safe. Both safe in CO.Fast once mini cat pulled vehicle out. Less than 5 mins.IMPORTANT: (hopefully before needing).DO NOT DRIVE ON SALT FLATS AT ALL! Especially the South flats!It don t matter if it is less than, just at, or just over 100 from asphalt to vehicle. It will ALWAYS be over 100 . You will pay out of pocket. The quicker you pay, the faster you re out. No, your insurance will not cover (it s over 100 & sooner you realize the faster you will be out). No, your insurance will not reimburse you the 100 they said they d cover to help with the OUT OF POCKET amount. Thankful we had it.Do not try to prove the asphalt to vehicle footage. It don t matter. Do not (important) do emotional conversation.REMEMBER: This is a business transaction. And sooner you realize, the quicker you will be out.PER OWNER: the charge is not too much more from what I paid to being 5 miles in: to my continued surprise.Review should be less: but son s fault for driving on Salt Flats.Tow company is good at what they do & well versed in the bright idea to go driving on the Salt Flats.Service: Special vehicle towing

Had Salt Flats Towing tow my van twice (over 200 miles in total) after placing a request through AAA, and their service was great both times. Their trucks are well equipped and maintained and most have seating for four in the cab. They also seem more professional than others in the Wendover area.Hopefully I never require their services again but I would certainly go back to them if needed.

Called to get a side by side unstuck. They said yes and pre charged before they got to me. Once they got out here they tried to charge double and said they were giving me a good deal after we had already agreed on a price (and charged the card). They then said well then your on your own and drove away. The original price was $1k. Then tried to get $2,500.00Service: Special vehicle towing

The police impounded my vehicle . It was Salt Flats Towing that towed my vehicle to their tow yard . Every time i called Salt Flats towing i was always treated kind and with understanding. Joseph the office manager was always willing to do whatever he could do to help me with this difficult and costly problem. He was willing to work with me on the cost of getting my vehicle out of their facility. Even though their costs have increased due to the high prices of gas they did not pass that cost onto the customer. I feel that Joseph and his staff were all very kind and helpful . I am grateful that if my vehicle had to be towed that Salt Flats Towing was the place that towed my car . They also stayed late because i was coming from Kamas Utah and i almost didnt make it before closing . I called and Joseph made sure someone was there even though it was after hours . Today we experienced the pinnacle of customer service. I m not talking good or great; I m saying the BEST. Our driver was knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful, and down to earth. If you are ever of need of towing services salt flats towing needs to be your first call. Steve is the bees knees. We felt at home riding in his tow truck.

My dad and uncle forgot to put in gas (they stopped for gas earlier but ONLY got drinks and food smh) and were out of gas on highway 50W, 3 miles to Wendover at midnight making there way home (California). Happened about an hour ago. I gave them my dads location (GPS coordinates) and they delivered gas within 20-30 min! I appreciate them for their fast delivery and they even called me back to let me know that my uncle and dad are on their way to the gas station now. If I can give them a million stars over 5 stars, I would. THANK YOU SO MUCH!Service: Fuel delivery

I had a simple problem with my car which was engine bay related and the tow guy was rude, sloppy and careless. Screwed up my exhaust system and my frame. Owner asked for pictures and sent driver back the next morning where he denied everything but said their shop would repair it the following morning. They did not come for my car and have been ignoring my calls and texts. Will be seeing them in court for their unprofessionalism and careless damage they caused.

Steve and his team were incredible. Our brand new car broke down in the desert between Salt Lake and Elko on a Friday evening after 4,000 miles of a 4,400 mile trip. Stranded with me were my wife, toddler, two dogs, and an RV - during COVID. Steve promptly sent one of his drivers who came with a flatbed to tow both the car and and the RV back to Wendover. His mechanic met us after hours at the body shop and was able to quickly diagnose our problem. Given the car was brand new, Toyota would not allow any third party to work of the car without voiding warranty. Saturday morning a 8 AM I found out the the Toyota dealership in Murray UT had the part we needed and could replace it day of if we could get them my car that morning. I called Steve at 8:15 to tell him the story. He replied "we'll do whatever we have to to get you back on the road." By 8:45 the car had been loaded back onto a flatbed which then came to pick me up at my RV before heading to Murray. Ultimately our car was repaired and we were able to complete the final 400 miles of our trip that night, saving our vacation, thousands of dollars in additional towing fees (for RV) and rental fees as well as me having to return for my car weeks later. You talk about going the extra mile, professional service and caring about the customer, Salt Flats certainly exceeded expectation.Services: Special vehicle towing, Car towing

Steve was absolutely amazing. I needed help getting a truck out of a building to be able to get it on the truck. It had to be pushed out with no power steering. He didn t even hesitate to push the truck while I steered it out. Super down to earth guy. I can t say enough positive things about him. Thanks Steve. Bad driver September 26th 2022. Driving FAST over the speed limit on 5300 South in Murray to Taylorsville. Going west direction at 9:40pm with all the cargo lights ON Making difficult to anyone behind him see the road. Pay attention driver and slow the speed.

Where do I even begin LOL! If I could rate ZERO stars, I definitely would! Our insurance company covers all roadside assistance. We were stuck in the salt lake desert (salt flats) all 4 tires sunk into the mud/clay and the salt flats tower came with a 100 yard cable and said because it couldn t reach he would have to use a tractor contraption to pull us out. We were clearly only 40-50 ft from the road, but he said he couldn t pull us out due to the distance. Our insurance covers up to 100 ft from the road. On top of that he tried to charge us $150 to use the tractor machine. Just beware if your insurance is using them THEY WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF!!!!!
