Truck broke down October 28, they found the time to look at it a week later, just needs a TIPm a fancy fuse box. Didn t order for another week and a half. Called several times. They didn t take the situation seriously. Costing me over a thousand dollars in lost revenue. December 5 today, still not done and no communication from them. I was referred to them by a local rancher while on the mountain highway. Wish he never would ve stopped. So I finally got my truck out of there, had to pay 513. 65 $ to get it released. Not fixed . Had it towed to shop 18 and was repaired in and running in less than 2weeks. Thanks shop 18 for treating me with respect and professionalism.

Good service for a reasonable price. These guys are thorough and will take care of you honestly. Which they would communicate a little better, but all in all it s a great shop

These guys are awesome! We were stranded with no brakes after getting off a river trip in Dinosaur National Monument and we re lucky to get picked up by Bobs Towing Service and brought here. Even though they were super busy they made it a priority to get us fixed up and back on the road as soon as they could. Very knowledgeable mechanics that knew exactly what was wrong we had a faulty caliper installed by another mechanic right before our trip so they were able to identify and replace the part. Highly recommend and very nice people!! Thanks again!!!

Fast, reasonable priced, and timing and great work plus customer service. They went above and beyond what I asked on my corvette. Definitely worth what was previously talked about from a none ase certified mechanic other words I would chase my own false much further. Thanks guys, I know I'm stubborn most times.

I came in with a fuel error light on my 2013 Ford Explorer, and the crew arranged to see it on the day of my request. This was really appreciated because I was working on a construction project with almost no time to spare. Since they agreed to look at the Explorer on a rainy day, I was able to get in. The mechanic was able to fix the issue promptly, they didn't even charge me. The receptionist was friendly, and I loved hanging with the 2 dogs. Thanks for your help!

Friendly to your face. Incompetent and shady mechanics. My experience: Took car in for an oil cooler gasket change, reattach a hose that came loose and fix a leak with the power steering pump. I was not listened to when explaining the issues. They fixed the gasket (1 step more than an oil filter change) and reattached the hose for $600. Didn't fix the power steering leak I told them about. Took it back to have them fix it right, they charged me another 500 to replace a hose that didn't need replaced, still leaking. Took it back with the o ring that was the fix and showed the head mechanic, he said he'd pull it in a fix it free of charge. During said 3rd fix, he replaced the serpentine belt and idler pulley, off their record, which was installed incorrectly, which destroyed the belt within a month. Took it back since I was told again they'd make it right. Got it back finally leak free and charged another $250. Total 4 trips and $1300. And to top it off they installed a steel valve stem cover and torqued the threads off the stem. I should've learned after 2nd trip, but after being told they'd make it right for free...I fell for it, my bad. I highly recommend avoiding this place.

I'm not sure what happened to my last review. Maybe it was deleted, but here is another one.The staff is friendly, professional, fair and trustworthy. When I needed my car fixed, Codie was very helpful. When my car stopped running by Red Fleet, they helped me so fast. I am very grateful to them.My daughter's car is currently in the shop and they are just as wonderful and just as helpful!

Quoted one price, charged almost double when the DIAGNOSTIC was finished I was out 120, spoke to me like I was dumb & treated his desk employees just the same. I knew what I went in for and he refused to believe it until he d proven it himself.

I was having a problem with my truck and in asking around town who to take it to most people said Craig's Pit Shop. Codie, the efficient and friendly front desk person, had a mechanic fix the problem in about an hour and the price was peanuts compared what I'd expected to pay. I had to bring the truck in again about a week later when the "check engine" light went on. It turned out the problem was minor and Codie didn't charge me. I'd recommend Craig's Pit Stop to everyone in the Vernal area, whether passing through or residents.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto brake repair

They were honest, hardworking, and know what they are doing. I would 100 percent take my car back to them if i needed or lived around here. They also have a capability to help you with most any problem, and will charge a fair price, and in my case, i had transmission issues, they fixed it, and charged me lower than i expected. I highly appreciate this business and it's wonderful employees.

Let me start by saying the lady at the front desk is really nice and friendly. The work performed was a joke. Hauled my truck over and met with one of the mechanics discussed what the issues were with my exhaust and what I wanted. Was told no problem and was given a quote. When I went to get my truck I did not have time expect what was done but the check engine light was still on told it may stay on for a while and that the spark plugs I replaced a month and a half ago were bad. After getting a chance to inspect what work was done and what I was charged for (about 200 more than original quote) the only thing they did was put my old exhaust back on which was supposed to be all new from the manifold back and added about 4ft. And the new exhaust was supposed to be routed so that my oversize spare tire could fit under my truck(again all of this was discussed on the 1st day of what I wanted) now the exhaust is in the way of even putting a regular spare underneath the truck. So roughly 4ft of exhaust , spark plugs and wires(which I never said to do) cost me 725 bucks and still didn't fix my engine exhaust codes and made the truck not idle correctly on 1st start up and would kill the engine until it was warmed up. I will never bring anything back to them to work on.Service: Exhaust

I was on a road trip and our truck started to overheat on the highway. Every mechanic shop in Vernal was packed, but when I called these guys, they squeezed me in to make sure I could get back on the road safe. The staff was very kind and were able to help us out at an affordable price. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the best mechanics I know. Treven will make sure every car that is serviced in his shop will go out better then when it came in. He does not rip you off, is honest, and takes care of his customers.

What a joke! They had my sisters car for 6 months and by the time my sister got it back it was in worse shape than when they took it in. They kept telling my sister that her car was done then a day before they go to pick it up they call and it s not done. Soo many lies. 6 months without a car is a long time. My sister took her car back and parts and pieces are in the back in boxes. You take a car to get fixed and they give it back to you not put together. Stay away from this place. The people are super unprofessional as well.

About a week ago my fuel pump died up the road and everybody here was incredibly helpful and friendly from the moment I stalled to when everything was wrapped up. The labor was very reasonable, and I don't think they marked up any parts! I was also shuttled to and from wherever I was or needed to go in town. Great place with great people - they even told me if the part fails when I'm not there they will help me with the warranty from the manufacturer. Spectacular service.

They don't know anything about mechanics. They had to take my truck to another shop for the simple fix that it needed, but still charged for doing "work" on their end. They're crooks, and don't know what they're doing. Lazy.Rude and unpleasant to work with.Would strongly encourage to stay away from, I've heard terrible feedback from others as well.

Went in on a friday around noon to get a quote on exhaust work and the service manager never called till the following Tuesday. As i needed the truck done asap i went and got the parts and done it myself. Service writer acted like he was lost at what i wanted done. great people and seems to be a great place just a bit slow with estimates.

I strongly agree with other reviews criticizing their diagnosing abilities. My truck started misfiring while at Flaming Gorge so I had it towed to Craig's Pit Stop. They suggested replacing all the spark plugs and spark plug wires, which seemed logical so I had them do it. Truck still wasn't working correctly so they ran a cleaner through it (waste of money), this didn't do anything so then they thought it might be the catalytic converter being plugged up; told me they pulled the O2 sensor out of the catalytic converter and the truck ran great so that had to be the issue. Didn't make much sense to me, but I'm no mechanic, so I had them replace it. Didn't help the issue at all. They told me my truck was working well enough to get me home. Once I got home I took it to my local mechanic who I have a ton of trust and confidence in; within 20 minutes he had diagnosed the CORRECT issue, which was a timing issue. Wasted $800 at Craig's Pit Stop.I will say though that they are very polite and I don't feel like they intentionally ripped me off, in fact I think they gave me a pretty fair price on the work they performed, I just don't think they have good diagnosing skills.

We were traveling from Grand Junction, CO to our destination of Jackson, WY. The morning we left from GJ, our SUV didn't start & we replaced the battery. Heading west, we noticed the battery gauge going down. Went to AutoZone in Vernal, UT. The alternator was not functioning properly. Purchased a new alternator from them; called Craig's Pit Stop; what a saviour!!! We were back on the road, new one installed, in less than an hour from our arrival!!! SO APPRECIATE their quick service & concern!!! They were awesome!!! Thank you Craig's Pit Stop for not having our road trip ruined!! :)

On a long road trip... Engine problems meant we barely made it over the pass... coasted down the hill into town and Craig's Pitstop was the first shop we saw. They diagnosed a weak fuel pump and fixed our car for a fair price within a few hours. They could have hosed us but they didn't! An honest, well equipped mechanic shop.

Craig's Pit Stop is fantastic, helping me turn a potential disaster into an enjoyable adventure. I was on my way home from Roosevelt, UT to Brighton, Co. when my truck died. I suspected a faulty fuel pump, and was able to get started long enough to limp it over to their shop. Almost immediately they got to trouble shooting, acknowledging that it was likely the pump, but not wanting to swap parts and send me on my way. They got the pump, tested it before remounting the tank and discovered a second problem requiring a dealer part, which wouldn't make it there till the following morning. They gave me a ride to the local Holiday Inn, and picked me up the next morning.while I was hanging around the shop they made me feel welcome and let me poke around my truck while they worked on it (I'm a car guy and like to see "how the sausage is made". Thank you Craig, Tasha, Cort, and the rest. Next time I'm passing that way I'm bringing lunch, and hopefully that'll be the only reason for stopping by!
