Took my car as air conditioning would blow hot air off & on while driving.No one called so I went down. No ticket written up for me then said he let it run idling hr in the morning, and 1&1/2 hrs in afternoon. And it stayed cool. Didnt chk anything. He said maybe he should've driven it.. charged me $95.Waste of time & money

Pete has been in the business for years and really KNOWS mechanics. He's always been 'spot on' at what's going on with our vehicles. He's VERY busy BECAUSE he's so good. He works really hard and will get to each customer's vehicle as quick as possible.His wife Lisa is very businesslike but also very friendly. They work very well together....always putting the customer first.

I had a rush job on my Vechical bad oil leak, called dealer, and couldn't get me in for over a week to look at it . Call Pete's auto, and they got me right in . They fixed my leak and other things I asked for , no issues. Feel I have got quality work for a fair price. Will go back to Pete's in the future

Patient and accommodating. Some of the other shops around weren't willing to address the 15 codes I had. My transmission is damaged and will eventually need to be replaced but after a transmission service my car is running better than it did when I first bought it. I will definitely go to Pete's to replace my transmission when the time comes. Thanks Pete's!

I moved to Tooele in 2008. I've had several cars serviced at this business and never once had a bad experience dealing with Pete. I'm not sure if his open and honest frankness works for or against him (perhaps both), but here is my perspective...he's going to say it like it is, and he knows what he's doing. If it's broken, he can fix it. If it's not worth fixing, he'll tell you.Nobody goes to a mechanic because they're already having a good day. Sometimes even more bad news isn't what you want to hear, but good news or bad, you're going to get the frank and honest truth from Pete (at least I always have).In my experience, the prices are fair and the repairs are top notch.

This is the first review I have ever written. I am from out of town, visiting family. When I experienced car trouble, Pete came to to the rescue quickly diagnosing the issue and fixing it. It was a situation that easily could have justified expensive repairs. Pete actually sent me on my way free of charge. Fast, fair, friendly and HONEST!!! Nothing else need be said. Thank you Pete.

So far so good. Few take backs that doesn't make this a 5 star though. First the good though. Initial customer service is good. Friendly staff and hardly any wait time on the phone. The staff is also very knowledgeable when it comes to their stuff. Pricing seems to be fair as well. Now the negative. If you are not pressed on time to get your vehicle back, the mechanics will flip flop between projects. They will look at your vehicle on some days and other they wont. Another thing is that you will never get an estimated time your vehicle will be done, at least this is true in my case. So far it is "I don't know when it'll be done, but we will try to get it to you by the end of the week." This has happened twice now.. Lastly, I have to initiate a call for an update on my vehicle. I've only received one call from them on what is going on. Other than these things it is a good shop to go to. It is definitely more professional and friendlier than a few places I called around to.

Got broke down going cross country. Was able to have my dad fast ship the part out. Once it got here Pete and his boys did quick work.I found them to be very caring and to have a lot compassion for my situation. Thanks Pete and all I got to my destination without issue. We came to Tooele to look at a used car. Pete brought the car in without an appointment. He took it for a test drive and then inspected every moving part on the car. He was extremely thorough and helpful. He even wrote up a list for us and prioritizedI would recommend him to anyone.

I've brought my vehicle to this location twice and i will not be visiting this location again. In all fairness, the workers are very knowledgeable and do good work, however this last visit completely changed my perspective of this shop. To start of, I do not like the way they answer their phones. They come off rude and unfriendly. In comparison to Brandon, the timeliness of service was far below satisfactory. My vehicle was in their possession for over a month and I also made serveral calls to verify the status of my vehicle. As far as my vehicle, the work was complete, however this is the main reason I will not be returning. While my vehicle was in their possession, someone decided to break into my vehicle and search through all of my belongings. I was informed BY THE OWNER that my vehicle hasn't been the only vehicle to be broken in to. There is obviously a security issue at this location. I do not know if this person stole anything because I thankfully made the smart decision to remove everything important from my vehicle. I own a jeep with a soft top and half doors. While reviewing my vehicle WITH THE OWNER I noticed that someone deliberately cut a fine hole into my window in order to break in. I brought it to his attention and he said, "there was already a small hole in your window when you brought it in and the weather must've made the whole larger." The lack of INTEGRITY FROM THE OWNER is disgusting and the fact that he lied to me shows a lack of respect to their customers. He even insisted that I pay to replace my window. I refused and he ended up reducing the price of my bill to compensate for my window.

Took my vehicle in, hoping to get it fixed. They call me later and tell me they can't fix it cause they don't do intricate fixes, plus they replaced some things without asking me and then charged me for them, also while my vehicle was parked there someone had stole the gas tank and they asked if I would pay for half of it. Now my vehicle makes a weird noise I've never heard and it's leaking oilService: Engine repair

This is the most crooked business I have been to. I had $40 in a sealed envelope in my jockey box, it was there in the morning before I dropped my car off and gone when I picked up my car. Let me just say that I only have one key to my car and it is always locked. After getting home and remembering to grab the money from my jockey box, I find the envelope opened and left in my car, empty. When I went back to let them know, which took a lot of courage, they treated ME like I was in the wrong and denied that anyone in that shop would ever do something like that and they had no reason to touch the glove box. Well of course you had no reason, but the money was gone. I have never felt so disrespected to my face, ever. I am just shocked at what some people think is okay On top of that, they charge $70 for a code scan and charged $60 to unclog my sprayer with a paperclip. I will never go back to Pete's auto, and recommend anyone else do the same, or at least be smarter than me than to forget money in your car, because someone there has no integrity.

No complaints so far. They have been very upfront about costs. They always call me and explain what is going on, and with my authorization get the thing fixed. The pricing has always seemed fair and the job always gets done quickly. Sometimes it takes a while to get a part, because they are a small shop. Waiting for a part every once in a while sure beats messing around with the beuracracy of a big shop.

I love petes . pete is a great guy very upfront on the price. He understands that life happens and has alwayse worked with me . very trustworthy . very honest . I dont let many people touch my vehicals but I trust him fully

Seemed like he just wanted to get my truck into his shop then stick me for money. Instead of listening to me I was telling him that my oil pan gasket was leaking how much to replace a oil pan gasket. He tried to tell me it could be power steering fluid well tell you what even I know the difference of Motor oil to power steering fluid. NO thanks dude not hooking me for your money.

Over promise and under delivered.Took my car in. They told me that it would be looked at the next day. I called and it took them 3 days to even look at it. They didn't know what they were doing. At the end of the day, they couldn't find the issue and charged me $75. I will never go back.

Just watched employees/owners of this business publicly share private customer information all over multiple Facebook pages due to a negative review they received. Most definitely will not be using a shop that would do something like that.
