I went in on a Saturday because my car was leaking oil. They found the problem very promptly. They then went above and beyond to find the missing part and have me back on the road the same day. Also, the final price was almost exactly what I was quoted. Thank you Tunex!

This was the best experience I ve ever had when dealing with car troubles. They were quick and kind. They called and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. They offered recommendations but weren t pushy. I got far more done for far less than I had hoped. Steve, Jay and Ronda are great people. I ve been going to this shop for over a decade on a dozen different cars for members of my family. They have exceeded expectations every time. They recently finished a laundry list of repairs and maintenance items, on a used vehicle I just bought. It was done two days ahead of schedule! These guys genuinely care about doing the very best they can. 5 Stars is not enough.Services: Auto water leak repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

My car had been dripping oil and my front brakes were quite warped. Steve suggested they take a look and just see what needed done. I asked them to go ahead and do an oil change and just let me know if we needed more than that. He called and was very thorough and frank about what was up with my car. And said they could do the brakes the same day. I was expecting to have to schedule it for next week. I managed to get my rotors and pads changed out, an oil change (for less than most places), emissions and registration done all in one place! And they had me out of there in about 2 hours! Will not be taking my car anywhere else! Highly recommend them.

They have done excellent work on our vehicles over the years, always at price quoted and only what is needed. They explain what they are doing in a way that doesn't make you feel stupid. In hard situations they are a godsend.

Did a transmission fluid flush - I had some plenty-old fluid in my transmission and it was getting to where it was starting to shift clunky.After the flush/change of nice new fluid everything feels nice and smooth again.The owner/operator of the place - Steve is good to work with and didn't seem to mind keeping me informed on what was going on and what to expect on the bill for services rendered.

I've had my cars serviced here several times over the years. Honesty and transparency is what I like in a mechanic and that's the experience I get here every time. They get the job done right and have been very considerate in their communication with me.

Replaced the transmission in my 1995 Ford LTD. He failed to replace the driveline which was the cause of the first transmission going bad. Didn t say a word about it. My daughter picked it up, and blew out the rear casing in the New transmission. Steve is a crook and very dishonest. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.Services: Transmission, Transmission replacement

The only place we will take our vehicles! I completely trust the owner Steve he has always been honest with myself and my wife. He has never suggested a unnecessary repair or tried to price gouge. Every time he has given us a quote we have agreed with the cost and has tried to come in under cost rather than more like so many others. He and his staff are Awesome to work with. Always a pleasant environment!

Steve and Jay are amazing. They let me sit in the car because with my broken toe and still healing from knee surgery its hard for me to walk. My husband highly recommends them. They give great service and you can trust them.Faye And Jeff Ellett

I have used Kearns Tunex for years. Steve is honest and doesn't over charge on repairs. You can trust what he says and know that the work is always done right and fair. Hard to find someone you can trust in today's world but Steve Spauge is one you can trust. His shop is on 40 Weat off of 54 South. If you're looking for someone to help you with your car I recommend you see him and his staff. Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Auto emissions testing, Auto maintenance

Steve was great with me when I brought my car in. Took time to look for the problem, took me out to the pit to look at what he was seeing and explained it all to me. Great customer service to me and he didn t try putting me through the ringer like most mechanics do. Definitely will be going back to him!

I have been coming to see Steve at Tunex for 16 years and I keep coming back because he simply is THE BEST! He is always kind, honest, fair, and helpful. He is so honest that he tells me what needs to be done now and what can wait a while to help save me money. He truly cares about his customers and their cars so they can be safe out on the roads. I won t take my cars anywhere else. I highly recommend this Tunex!

Everyone at Tunex is super helpful and knowledgeable! Cheryl, at the front desk, is great, and Steve and Jay really know their automotive business. They do quality work at a fair price! Always appreciated!

Love this Tunex!!! We have been coming to see Steve and his crew for several years! It is refreshing to have a mechanic with high morals. I recommend him to all of my friends and family! Steve has personally gone the extra mile to help make sure we are driving safely by; efficiently repairing our cars in his shop, arranging help for us when we were out of town and has even come for a house call! He almost always finds the problem without needing to charge a diagnostic cost. Thanks so much Steve, Jay and Sheryl! You're the best!

This review is for the Tunex at 5313 S. ,4015 West, Kearns, Utah. We have been using this Tunex for at least 10 years. We started out slowly, only using them for inspections but eventually have had them do major work on our cars. They have always treated us well and we have been very satisfied with their work and price. I especially appreciate being able to talk with Steve Sprague, the owner, when I go in. That is very valuable. I have worked on my own cars for years and understand most of what he is saying. They never try to up-sell us like other shops. After years of going there I must say I trust them to do honest work at an honest price. If anything Steve is too honest. He doesn't sugar coat things to try to get your business.Recently I took a car to him that I was considering buying. I was blown away by the things that he was able to find that I would never have discovered. That was impressive. The car was only one year old and one of the things that he discovered was that it had been painted on one side. He had other things to point out that I would have missed. I still bought the car but at least I knew what I was getting into.

I have been taking my cars here for years. You can't beat the service or the fair price. They are very knowledgable and kind. When my husband doesn't have the time to do the work himself we both feel comfortable taking the car here. Steve and his guys do a great job. Thanks again guys

I really try to help the local companies, however with this company you need to watch the invoice for over charging. We have been there three times twice last year and once this year to have emissions done. They add sales tax to this and that's double taxation. It never gets fixed and we are told the same thing, they don't know why it happens. Who else has been double taxed.? They are robbing the public doing business this way. They need to fix this problem.

I had a problem with my truck not starting. I replaced a started, a battery, cleaned the cable ends and... Nothin! Frustrating.I left the truck after hours with Steve Sprague at Tunex and dropped the keys in the drop box.Next morning at 10, I get a call from Steve. He asked the problem, gave me an idea of a solution with an estimate and that he would call back. Sure enough, a couple hours later it was fixed and done, at a reasonable price. I love that!!!Thanks Steve. I'll be letting everyone know.By the way, I just got married and my wife, Jeni has been using him for years. I see why! Great work at a reasonable price.Passing the word around!

I've used this Tunex and had Steve work on my cars. Steve's the best. He wants to fix your car right. Steve's one of those "honest mechanics" - he won't charge you for junk - he only charges you for the repairs your approve. Steve's great - you should give him a call.

My Saturn was damaged going.over a new, unmarked speed bump. It was a challenge for them to find parts. With much perseverance, I have my car back , working perfectly, absolutely 5 stars.!

Both times I've been here, the service has been fast and friendly.The first time I went into this place was to get my starter replaced. They finished the job a day faster than promised.The second time I went in to get a headlight bulb changed because I was having trouble getting the bulb out myself. They were able to do it in less than five minutes and didn't even charge me for the time.Highly recommended.

Had the alternator replaced in my 4Runner. A fair quote (lower than some others in the area). Let's you know what he will do and how long it should take. No surprises. Work was done quickly and for what was quoted.

Fantastic shop!!!! In the sometimes hard to sift through world of auto mechanics, this place has been a real beacon in the dark!Honest folks, great mechanics at a fair price. I'll never go anywhere else! Steve always goes right to the problem, and the prices are always less then I expected. I've been going only to this place for awhile and I haven't regretted it. After my last repair, I found out I had a related problem so I brought my car in the next morning. They took care of it for free, and it was so fast, I wasn't even late for work! EXCELLENT SERVICE!

Took my car and minivan to the Kearns Tunex for emissions and safety inspections. The owner was very nice; they stayed late to take care of the inspections. Even though they told us it would take awhile, he still apologized for the wait and thanked us for our patience. I was the one who was grateful they would work late on a Saturday! Great service!

Steve has taken care of me and my stupid cars for quite awhile now. He tells it like it is and doesn't sugar coat it. I hate my cars, but I love Steve at Tunex. It is nice to know you have someone you can trust in the auto repair business. Steve must work 60+ hours a week. One of the hardest working guys I know.

I have come to these guys many times. I'm always in and out faster than anywhere else. The people are personable and remember who I want when I come in.
