I came to Timing Auto Repair on Yelp because I needed a random misfire code diagnosed on my Honda Accord. Anthony reached out to me and got me in asap. He checked everything from the fuel pump to the engine compression and figured out it was the valves that needed adjustment. Charged a fair price for all the work he did and even checked other components and notified me of other work that needs to be done later on. Anthony kept me informed on what was going the whole time and didn't charge me for any unnecessary work. He was honest, and that's hard to find in a mechanic these days. I will definitely be coming back to service all my vehicles there in the future. My car runs like a champ now with no check engine light.

Hard to find a great mechanic that you can trust, but look no further because this is the place! Taken my cars here multiple times and nothing but the best results. Goes over in detail about what needs to be fixed, your options and also gives you knowledge about the process and why it is the way it is. Won t take my vehicles anywhere else. Satisfied customer.

Timing Auto Repair knows how important time is in our daily lives.Having such a tight schedule dropping my car off was a little difficult , I have never ran into a shop that would provide pick up n delivery. They picked up my vehicle for a brake service and returned it to me at the end of the day. Worked out perfect for me! All while providing quality parts and reasonable prices.Thanks Anto!

Let me start by saying that I typically do ALL auto repairs myself, because I learned the hard way early on that is difficult to truly trust mechanic shops, unnecessary repairs and upselling. I have been traveling a LOT for work recently, so I had nowhere enough time to do this particular repair myself, so I needed to find a good mechanic to get this done while I was away. Now, I already knew exactly what the problem was (bad alternator in my Highlander), I knew exactly how long it would take to remove the old one, install the new one and reassemble the radiator hose. I also knew ~about what the hourly labor rate 'should' be, so I was already preparing for pushback from any new mechanic I was going to deal with.Well, with a few bids, I heard back from Abril (owner of Timing Auto Repair) almost IMMEDIATELY. I told him what the "symptoms" were, but not much else. He was MORE than accommodating with my quick timeframe for turnaround time and also let me drop the car off the night before my trip. He had the Manager of the shop (Anthony) reach out to me right away to discuss. Well unbelievably enough, they reached out to me and identified the problem... which was EXACTLY what I thought it was and also quoted the EXACT amount of time for labor that I had planned on, as well as the most fair hourly rate amongst all the other bids from competing garages.Their communication was absolutely impeccable and frequent! They even followed up a few days after just to see how everything was running and check to ensure I was satisfied with their work.Let me tell you... NOWHERE in Salt Lake City will you find:1. A more honest group of mechanics2. Anyone that provides the level of communication3. ANYBODY more accommodating4. A Mechanic that you REALLY want to go back toNOWHERE. PERIOD.Honest work is what you can expect from this shop, nothing less (but a whole lot more!). I've never (NEVER) been more inclined to write a review before, and these guys TRULY deserve it. I have ZERO hesitation recommending this business to ANYONE, because well... they not only provide over-the-top customer service and top-notch work, but they provided me with peace of mind. I now have a place I can trust and not have to worry about any "back and forth negotiating" for unnecessary repairs.***TRUST ME - Not only will you WANT to bring your auto repairs here... you absolutely NEED to! ***Thank you, Abril & Anthony, for a paramount A+ experience at your Auto Shop! Had a tune up, break job, and some other minor mechanical repairs done.Carlos was great to communicate with by text, which made setting this up easier while I was at work.Dropped it off on Thursday and it was done Saturday.My wife loves having the 'get up and go' back in her car.The customer service was great. I'll be bringing our other vehicle here as well!

Had issues with my radiator hose that I thought was caused by jiffy lube. Had timing look at it for a second opinion. They where super friendly and seemed very honest. They showed me exactly what they where doing and explained why. The best part is they didn t even charge me! I will definitely be bringing my car back here in the future and would recommend their services to anyone.Service: Vehicle Inspection

As a woman, it s hard to find a good mechanic shop that isn t ripping you off. I m so lucky to have been referred here because these guys are GREAT. Don t take your vehicle anywhere else! I was quoted $800 for new brakes for my van and these guys did them for WAY less, way faster, and with much better customer service. I received videos of my old brakes and was updated through out the process. These guys go above and beyond, I trust them with all my vehicles and won t go anywhere else.Service: Brakes

I am SO glad I found this place! Anto and Carlos are the best mechanics around! They are efficient and most importantly, they are honest! It's so hard to find quality, honest mechanics. My favorite thing about working with them, is that if my car needs something, they don't just say, "your care needs this" but they bring me into the garage and show me exactly what is going on and teach me about the car. It's really an incredible experience working with them!And if you're buying a used car, take it to them for their bumper to bumper inspection because they have saved my bacon more than once when I was about to buy a lemon without knowing it was.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

This is by far the most honest mechanic I've ever gone to, they communicate with me throughout the entire process and do an amazing job! They're super honest with how much repairs cost and exactly what needs to be done and why. I'll always trust them with any repairs needed on my car

My wife went in for an A/C diagnosis. She went in thinking the place looked shady but she trusted my judgement. Here is what she texted me after they serviced our van:Ok it's so great learned SO MUCH! Really good good guy... explained everything step by step....I would recommend these guys to anyone.... never seen someone so honest from step by step moment to moment explaining every little detail,PLUS he helped fill everything up fluids and explained so much! And helped me see where the fan might be losing a little soft cuz fan might be dying but a new fan may only be $70 ..... BUT AC works for now even if it doesn't blow hard, but that fluctuates...Fantastic, did everything he said! I got to watch the whole time and stand right next to engine! Plus showed me coolant was low and & filled it up and everything.Omg.... he even stopped me as I backed up and said "hold on, let me check your tires" Omg he even called me back cuz he remembered he forgot to tighten a bolt! Wowza.END OF TEXT!THAT SAYS IT ALL GUYS!! CHOOSE THIS PLACE!!HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE!!!

My hemi engine started making a weird noise then shut off, had it towed to timing auto repair for a diagnosed same day response via text this is what they found, I highly RECOMMEND this place, honest great and fast service.

I took my car in to this shop to have some repairs done and they did an amazing job!! The mechanic, Anto, really knows cars. They also do car details there, which is great because not only was I able to get my car fixed, but I also got the interior of my car detailed as well. Carlos was such a delight to work with. I highly recommend this company to everyone!

I'd had a persistent problem with my power steering in my 2005 Cadillac Escalade, fluid had been leaking. While i tried to patch the problem and fix it, it became evident that this was a job too big for me. Having never had to reach out and have a mechanic work on my car before i was not sure on the protocol. I reached out on yelp for a quote and shortly thereafter i recieved a message back from Timing Auto repair with a labor quote.With a bit of back and forth through yelp we arranged a day for me to take the escalade, have them drop me off at home and then work on the car for the weekend. There were a couple of other parts that needed replacing i was asked if i wanted them doing since they had the steering apart, and immediately gave me a quote for both labor and parts. I agreed, ended up having to have a part shipped out. It was expodited and they were always super transparent during the whole process.When i arrived to pick up the car, they showed me what had been replaced and i could see the new parts under the car. They said when you spend a certain amount on labor they would also get my car washed, a service i very much appreciate and did not at all expect. I was also told about the levels of the fluids in the car and had some reccomended maintainance. All of the work including the parts came to less than i was expecting to pay, very happy with Timing Auto Repair! Really enjoyed supporting a local business during these uncertain times too.TLDR: Great place to take the car, super transparent, will communicate online, fast and affordable. Cannot reccomend enough! Thanks for doing such a great job!

Had the struts replaced for my old forester at this place. Process was super quick, and the price was very competitive. Highly recommend anyone with a Subaru to come here. The owner is a good guy, no BS

Not sure what is going on with this business. I ve called and texted Anthony multiple times for about a week with no response back Building also has no sign looks vacant. Went by again today, door locked and no note or sign.
