Best place if you have the cars they work on. No need to go to the Dealership anymore. They are very kind, reliable and honest and fair in price. They truly seem to care about their clients and care about doing their work quickly but correctly. If I were you I'd buy a BMW, Audi, Porsche, Mini, or Volkswagen. In order to work with these guys.

I ve been bringing my Volvos here for years and they always do a great job! When my XC90 had a major problem (one of the sunroof drain hoses detached, allowing rain water to leak into the wiring behind the dash), I initially towed the car to Ken Garff Volvo in hopes that Volvo would cover the repair. They didn t, and quoted me $12,500 and up, depending on what else they had to replace besides the wiring harnesses. I told them no way, and towed the car to Utah Imports. They were able to fix it for less than a third of the cost and I was overjoyed and grateful, since I had seriously considered donating the car and taking the loss.I only have good things to say about Utah Imports- they are knowledgeable, friendly and honest. I would not take my cars anywhere else.

I live in Nevada normally I was in SLC for a friends doctor appointment. My new to me car ran low on DEF fluid. I tried every dealer ship near SLC and all of them were booked for days or weeks. The gentlemen here answered the phones enthusiastically and were able to get us in as soon as we showed up even though their whole garage/parking lot looked full. They even took the time to explain a little bit more about how my car works. Extremely grateful they were able to help us and get us back on the road.

I'm writing this to thank you for the great work on my Syncro. The alignment you did made it ride better than it ever. It was previously rough over smaller bumps, but is now smooth and compliant. Plus it feels less loose and safer.Thanks as well for the electrical troubleshooting and any other tweaks you may have made. You guys have gotten�me out of several jams. In addition to providing great service on my cars, you have helped to keep my almost 40 year old van going that is driven weekly if not daily through all seasons. I know that I can trust Utah imports to provide honest and efficient service.

We ve enjoyed a long and happy relationship with Utah Imports. In September of 2015 Jeff and Jim rescued me after a local tire store messed up the front end. They understand what they do and they do it with perfection standing by all their work. I won t trust my Eurovan to anyone else. Thanks to their whole team!

Utah Imports treated me and my 2010 BMW 328ixdrive with care and respect.They accurately diagnosed an error made by another shop and didn t try to tack on a bunch of extra charges to fix it.I ll be giving UI all my BMW service.

I have the cutest little Mini Cooper S. I would not let just anyone work on my baby. These guys are so good. I have a favorite mechanic there. I always request him to work on my car. I m so grateful that they ll do that for me. They do an excellent job. Very honest. I will go back to them as long as I have a foreign car. I m so grateful I found them. In my book they re number one. I cannot say enough good things about them. Abstract: 120/100 exceed my expectation and did everything they could in a professional manner and exceptional price. These guys are not your average mechanics but professionals with dignity and integrity.They performed some MAJOR services on my 2006 mini due to overheating issues and wheel bearing issues. As far as the overheating, I could not find the issue so I asked around online forums and made 10+ calls to shops in SLC area. Marc from Utah Imports told me to have my car down there and let their mechanic take a peek. After an hour or so, Jeff the garage owner performed every diagnostics they can run and provided me with a solution and quote. Of course me being a timid European car owner, I called few different so-called 'Euro-Specialists' but no one could match Utah Imports' price and professionalism. I am glad that I found the right shop in SLC area.Truly amazing, down to earth people working there with exceptional ethics and professionalism. I do not regret doing business with them and at this point, been doing businesses with them more than several occasion, I do not even bother to compare prices because I know they are the best in terms of price and skills.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Auto glass repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

I got the upmost respect for a gentleman named Jim. He helped me with the headaches my car was giving me and always updated me with news he had about my vehicle. That man does a very amazing job. I have been bringing my 1987 BMW to Utah Imports for years. It is hard to find great mechanics to work on older cars. Jeff, Marc and Devin are the best!! They go the extra mile to make sure that you are satisfied, even adding services at no extra charge. They care about your car and want you to return for any future needs and services. Their prices are extremely fair and they are very knowledgeable and friendly. Jeff, Mark, Devin and the other guys here have taken care of my family cars for several years. they are smart kind and knowledgeable about what can ail your make and model vehicle. They love cars, even the ones that are tougher to love, and are as honest as the day is long. I recommend them without reservation to anyone that has an import car that they want to be as reliable and fun to drive as possible. The way I drive, my life is in their hands and I trust them 100%. Give them a try and you will find out the same thing for yourself! Completely disrespectful when i had asked about "import information". I understand you all may be busy but when a kid with passion about cars has a question and ur so rudely turned away by someone who says they know what they are doing is a let down. I hope whatever is making your day or life difficult your handling ok. Its a passion we can all share.

Honest mechanics that go the extra mile. Mark and Jeff absolutely CRUSH it. Been going to them since I bought my Volvo and they've always done right by me. Very transparent and honest about everything they do on the car and they go the extra mile to make sure you're well taken care of. If you have a serious problem they do everything they can to minimize your out of pocket costs. I took my BMW 6 Series to Utah Imports for some major work and I couldn't be happier! They kept me updated every step of the way, and the car is now purring like a kitten. Also, I have a tight weekday schedule, so Jim actually came in on a Saturday morning to let me pick up the car! I mean c'mon...THAT'S SERVICE!! I highly recommend Utah Imports.

Utah imports has taken care of my car(s) for many years. They are friendly and highly professional. Their work is excellent and their prices are reasonable. They go beyond repair and maintenance, for example, today I dropped by for a battery for my car key which they took care of at no cost. I also had them check my undercarriage and they did a temporary fix that will last until the next time I bring my car in, again at no cost. I respect and trust their work, I like the staff, and am so glad they have my back. Thanks guys.

Took our 2006 Volvo there after being told it was not worth fixing by another repair shop. We were super happy with their level of knowledge, what was essential in fixing to make the car safe, how quickly they made the repairs and the price! Probably the best experience I've ever had with repair shop. Mark went out of his way to make sure that my car would be taken care of in a timely manner. The professionalism with all the personnel and mechanics was amazing. Also their pricing was a lot cheaper than the dealership. I can truly say that they have gained a customer for life and will always refer customers to them. Thanks Utah Imports for taking care of my car and getting me back on the road safely. By the way,my new turbo works a lot better than the original one that it came with!

After calling different shops for days and no one wanted to fix my car. I finally called utah imports they immediately said yes we can fix your car I felt relive. Jeff, mark and their whole team were amazing the fixed my car within hours and the same day. I brought it twice and both times they were great. It is rare to find someone pickier than I am about their cars. But the guys at Utah Imports are an finicky about their work as I am. I've been to many European shops in the valley. Lot's of nice people, but over promise, under deliver and charge more than they deserved. Utah Imports is different, in a great way. My car is always done when they say it will be, almost always they call me before I call them, and my car is always cleaner after they are done than when I dropped it off. If not talking about a quick spray and dry, it is usually fully detailed. And they always come in at or below their quoted price. One time I had some coolant leak on my way home from their shop. Mark made a house call, re-seated a pressurized coolant hose that I couldn't get to seat, and then filled and bled my cooling system, in my garage at 9:30pm. Who does that? I'll tell you who, Utah Imports. Always exceeding expectations. Called in with a pre-determined code (front o2 sensor), they said they could fix this for me in less than a half day; I made an appointment a couple of weeks out as they were very busy. They are not close to where I live so I made work arrangements to go up and wait for my car as they worked on it, and they confirmed this would work well. I walked to a nearby cafe and proceeded to work remotely. After a couple hours, I decided to call and check in on my car. I was told they had diagnosed it as the front o2 sensor (which we already knew), and that they could not fix it as they needed to order the part, and that it would take 4-5 days to get it in. This was very frustrating, as I was expecting the car to be repaired, not just diagnosed (which I already had done). I let them know over the phone I would take the car back with me as I could not leave it for 4-5 days. I let them know that I would repair the car myself. They said "let us order the OEM parts and ship them to you-- should take less than a week"...I agreed. I paid for the parts and for the (rather expensive) evaluation of my car. When I got in, I saw the cabin air filter was on the floor and had not been put back, which after asking they came back and did. As I was driving home, my car sounded like it had been modified (something cool with the exhaust?) but no, I popped the hood when I got back and found that they had left the engine air filter compartment open and the air filter on the bottom of the housing in there. Unfortunately, the parts issue was no better. Three weeks later I called to follow-up. Someone at Utah Imports had been out for medical and parts did not get ordered. I got the parts this week (o2 sensor and a filter), and 20 minutes later I had all installed and running right. I am giving a two star because Marc is a friendly guy in the office.

The most trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I had a car that needed a lot of work and had been quoted by another mechanic that it could cost $3000 and up if they were to find something else while working on it. Utah Imports fixed my car for $1600 and told me the things the other mechanic said needed to be worked on didn t! They are fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

These folks are amazing! All the oil and coolant leaked out of my 2002 Volvo while I was passing through from out of town and they fit me in without second thought. They got the work done quickly and at an amazing price. They were extremely transparent and helpful throughout the process. Would highly recommend Utah Imports!

I am a car freak and have taken my cars to a ton of places around Salt lake- and usually leave not feeling great about the experience. Whether it was paying way to much, poor service or bad workmanship. However, after taking two cars to Utah Imports, I am a customer for life! Seriously, Mark provides incredible service and is so great to work with, while Jim and the rest of the team perform incredible work. I honestly feel like they are on my side, trying everything they can- to not only do the job right but save me money. I have never walked out of there not feeling great about, how my car runs, what I paid and how I was treated. They really are the best ! Our Volvo XC 90 started cutting out on hills. Major problem? I didn t know, but I also knew it had to get fixed. I dropped the car off at Utah Imports on our way out to town for a few of days. They were willing to work with our schedule. About a day later I got a call from Devin letting me know what repairs were needed and the exact cost, down to the penny. It was easy to say yes, let s get it done because the needed repairs were, though vital, not major and the cost much less than I had feared. Since those repairs the Volvo has made a lot of runs up and down the canyon, performing beautifully though lots of different winter conditions.This is a 15 year old, incredibly reliable car that has been routinely serviced by the team at Utah Imports. Jeff is a master at diagnosing problems and doing what s needed to fix them fixed, efficiently. He has been willing to do whatever it takes to get to bottom of problems and give clear advise about the best course of action. Devin and others on the team are not only great to work with they too, really know what they are doing. They never push repairs, but their occasional recommendations regarding things that can be done to keep the Volvo and our Mini Cooper well maintained and running reliably have been very helpful. We always get the quality service and very fair pricing from the team at Utah Imports. They are real pros.

Hans and Jim at the other location were absolute life savers! My 2013 VW Jetta had been doing a crank no start intermittently for months (with no check engine light or codes) but no mechanic was willing to work with me to find the solution. The guys at Utah Imports were the ninth mechanic shop I went to and they were able to diagnose the issue and replace the part promptly. Hans had all of the equipment and knowledge to help! I was so grateful to get it sorted (finally!!). I had driven down from Canada on vacation and once the issue was fixed, I could confidently continue on my road trip :) I 100% recommend them. Utah imports is the only place to take your Mini Cooper in Salt Lake City. They've kept my 2008 running, over 220,000 miles. Marc, Devin and Jeff always treat me with the utmost respect and kindness. They go above and beyond to keep er on the road. THANKS GUYS!

A great company to work with. Honest, fair, and most of all, not condescending.Devin quoted me exactly what I ended up paying, and the work was done the same day.Utah Imports will always be my first call from now on, I will no longer be visiting the Volvo dealership down the street.*Update - Another outstanding experience with Utah Auto Imports, Mark and the team. They really know what good customer service is all about.
