This Service Center is super clean! They have a nice waiting area and wifi if you need to work while waiting. Best of all, they have fabulous service advisors. Tanner, is fantastic and gets ! Promote him! He is very respectful, listens and treats his customers respectfully and with great care. I have been surprisingly impressed with Tesla and that's all due to the great service provided at the service center.

Avoid this service center or at least the manager Gavin. What an ordeal. I bought a new Tesla from the Pleasant Grove location, but this service center is closer for me. One of my wheels had a gouge in it that I noticed the day I got it home. So I promptly scheduled an appointment to get it swapped out. Simple right?! Nope, after they swapped out the wheel, I inspected it before I left and noticed several scratches from when they mounted the tire on the wheel, because they used metal tools. The tech I talked to (as he was grabbing my car) was very new. I knew this because he told me he was new. With him being new, he used metal tools instead of the plastic ones. So he scratched up the new wheel when he mounted the tire on it. Well, I pointed The scratches out to the experienced tech and he said we ll have to get a manager. So Gavin (the manager) comes and tells me, you really can t see the scratches and come on you re driving on Utah roads your black wheels are gonna get damaged anyway! What kind of response is that? He said he would get one more wheel and swap it out one last time, but no more. Like it was my fault for their carelessness. I had an appointment scheduled, but I went to the pleasant grove service center. The PG center was great. I would fire Gavin at the SLC location if I was his boss. Poor customer service. If you buy a brand new Tesla, you shouldn t expect to have scratches on it. Also, when I get a brand new wheel from the service center, I should expect it to not have scratches all over the edges of the wheel. Pretty basic expectations, but obviously not by Gavin standards.

Just wanted to share how great of an experience I had with these folks. My older 2016 model s was having issues and ended up needing to be towed in to this location. They were extremely accommodating to get my car towed in after hours and were able to get the repair on the rear drive unit done quickly. I was back on the road less than 3 days after dropping it off. Appreciate all the help Yessi & Tanner.

I drove 8 hours from Montana to have my 2022 Model 3 performance with only 24,000 miles serviced for a high voltage battery replacement, window motor replacement, and panel realignment. They provided me with a loaner that was dirty and had quite a bit of external cosmetic damage (I lived, it drove, not a big deal). When I returned to pick my vehicle up a week later my car was in worse shape than I left it. There was a big scratch on the back driver side paneling under the charge port. The window seal was hanging from the side of my car which was the opposite of the window I asked to be serviced. On the interior under the center console my paneling on the drivers side keeps popping out because they broke off some of the anchor points and it keeps popping out when I drive. I documented all of this and provided video evidence at the time of pickup. After speaking with the service manager; Gavin, he let me know that they would not be assuming any liability for the cosmetic damage caused to my vehicle. This was substantiated by informing me know that the technician that worked on my vehicle is extremely trustworthy and that he would be taking his word over mine. And then followed up with some people are not so earnest and want to take advantage of situations like this .This man indirectly called me a liar, Is this how your customers Tesla?!!! I feel extremely disrespected as I have put so much time and mileage into getting my vehicle fixed under warranty just to have it defaced and disregarded. Do better for the sake of your business and brand.

My husband had to get his Model X fixed for some minor issues with panel gaps and other things. Overall, the service was great! Everyone was super kind and helpful! Ralph was SO kind and took the time to talk to us even when he was very busy. There were a few unexpected circumstances that prolonged the service from 2 weeks to 6 weeks, but we were very happy with the car when we came to pick it up! It was in perfect condition. There are other reviews complaining about how long it takes to do repairs. I don t think what people realize is how busy these people are. Even after they were closed, there was a line of people waiting to talk to the manager.I certainly wouldn t want anyone rushing through repairs on a car I spent a ton of money on. This isn t a McDonald s drive-thru. You can t get your Tesla repaired in 2 minutes. It s going to take a minute, so be patient.

I dropped my car off for service, and never received a call to speak with a real human.I get it, its a tech company, I need to follow the direction perfectly to drop my car off, but can you call me if I don t park it in the right spot or drop the key off correctly?Missed the apt, now have to wait 2 weeks

Employee decided he was gonna park the X, hop in his car and leave for the day while people are waiting in line after hours. I realize employees have to fight for the supercharger with customers so why not make them only available after hours?

Everyone was kind and friendly in person, but their service was simply unacceptable. I drove in from Bozeman with faulty heating. I waited, paid and was told every issue was resolved. That was not true. I realized after much troubleshooting that my car heating still wasn t working. Meanwhile temperatures got below -30 degrees. Upon calling customer service to get the service center to even call me back, I was told that the part was never replaced and I d not only need to pay for another trip over 300 miles, but needed to pay for the service to be completed.

I needed the control arms replaced and the chair cushion readjusted as it popped out so you could see the inside. All was free under our used warranty but took a day longer than we were told. We were given a loaner car which was great! No problems. When we got the car back, I had to turn the steering wheel 45 degrees to go straight so I took it back immediately. They got it don t in an hour and a half starting at 8:15 so it was great. Found out they put one arm the wrong length which is odd but they also drove to park it and should have noticed.Everyone was incredibly kind and professional and would be 5 stars if it wasn t for an obvious oversight. Thank!

Staff is helpful! But Tesla policy can be frustrating.I picked up a new 2023 Model 3 in Vegas and immediately noticed the alignment was off (steering wheel was severely crooked.)Needing to drive home to SLC, I didn t report the alignment issue until the following day (but less than 24 hours.) Because of the mileage, Tesla refused to warranty the alignment.Unfortunate that they wouldn t warranty the alignment, especially considering an alignment requires no new parts/supplies.

Set up an appointment to have new tires installed. The Tesla app said it would be one hour when I scheduled it. When I arrived, I was told that it would be two hours. Whatever. But had I known that information when I scheduled, I wouldn t have made that appointment. Then after waiting the two hours, I was told the tires were installed, but needed to be uninstalled because they were out of tires and someone with an appointment for next week had purchased them before me. That would be a compelling argument if I hadn t already been sitting for two hours in their waiting room. So with the travel time, they wasted 2 1/2 hours of my busy schedule, and I got nothing in the end except a lecture from the service manager to watch my language. Really? That s the customer service offered here? A lecture to not be super frustrated at their incompetence?

Hit a big utility construction pot hole that literally broke my car's suspension and damaged two tires and wheels. Insurance recommended a few other shops that were 3 months out to fix a Tesla. I had my car towed here, and within 5 days, it was fixed to new condition. Communication through the Tesla app with the service center was awesome. The actual mechanic who fixed my car sent pictures showing the damage and every detail of everything he fixed. Best service experience in recent memory but pricey!

Picked up my brand new Model Y a month an a half ago and on the drive home the car was shaking at freeway speeds. The soonest Service Appointment I could get was for 3 weeks later, but still I was happy to finally get it looked at. They kept the car for 4 days only to tell me that they couldn't replicate the issue..... (Insane they gave up so easily. Didn't even try to look a little deeper at the problem.) Drove it for another 2 weeks and decided to take it to Discount tire to have the wheels balanced. All were fine except 1 that took 6oz of weight on one side to get it to balance. It was then moved to the front to see if anything changed. With it in the front the vibration continued but now it would violently shake the steering wheel at speeds above 60mpg. Took it back to Discount Tire today and had them remove the tire from the wheel. Found the acoustic foam just freely moving around inside the tire. No evidence of glue or anything. It's almost comical, but frustrating at the same time that the problem was exactly what I thought it might be. (Thanks to online forums) Tesla you really need to do better. It was a hassle just to get the car to you, and then you don't even attempt to fix it. This is very basic troubleshooting that I even attempted to coach you through, but you just seemed to want to move on to the next car.Do I love the car? Yes.Do I hate the way Service is handled? Yes.I will likely ask for this brand new tire to be warrantied in a future visit.

Just got helped by Alec who was type of guy you want to meet. He went out of his way to contact all the people needed to solve my issue. I know Tesla is growing fast and has lots of stressors on the business but you wouldn t know it by how good the service is and how well maintained the building is. Just feels like I am in the future.

They need better technician training! We have taken our Tesla S in twice and the problem has not been fixed after paying $600 the first time and $500 the second time!!!We are now on our way back to SLC to have them fix it again!! We are very disappointed with our service problems and Tesla and how much it is costing! They would not even give us a loaner car to drive.Apparently they do not know how to read the electrical schematic's. After going back the 3rd time, Tanner was so helpful and listened to our concerns. He took the time to get us a loaner, processed the fixes that needed to be done. When we came to pick it up another small fix needed to be taken care of in the slide door of the consul and the customer serviceman helped us and got it taken care of. I am sorry I did not get his name. We did not have to pay again snd the car seems fixed. We are happy our car has been repaired but we hope in the future we will not have the problems we had this time snd money spent the two times we did not get it resolved.Service: Electrical repair

The repair was good but the communication was abysmal. I had a small crack on my rear windshield with no apparent impact. This was likely the result of a manufacturer defect. I asked their staff if a crack from stress or manufacturer defect would be covered and they said it would be. Upon completion of the job, they said regardless of the reason for the crack they wouldn't cover the cost unless it was under warranty. Now I'm out $870 for a repair that should have been covered. I will say they were very polite but the customer service here is awful.

I know it's further, but just go to the other Tesla Service center. I've been to this one a few times and the inside service is great, but the people that work on the cars are just... no. I've been given my car back dirty multiple times. I've had a windshield replaced and glue was left on the window, and most recently I received my vehicle and I swear whoever worked on my vehicle hadn't bathed in a year and rolled around in my back seat. It smelled like something died, and they always say the same thing, we'll pass the feedback along. It's been a year later and obviously they are not getting the feedback.Service: Tires

They went out of their way to make sure I understand exactly what was going on, and that I was happy. I got a Model S loaner for the day (locked in 'chill mode', unfortunately) even though my car is a standard Model 3. They stayed in contact with me via text messages, an let me know the moment they were finished. I didn't spend any time waiting around, but I noticed that they also have a waiting room with couches and a mini fridge.

Tesla needs to hire better technicians. I took my model X for alignment check twice in 2 weeks and it had a bigger problem each time after paying $300 for the initial service. Now my steering wheel is off centered when driving straight. What a waste of time and money.

Major thank you to John O. and the entire service team. John knew exactly what I was referring to and offered a quick solution and information, respectfully. Not only were they able to get me back in the road, but they grabbed the door (and a juice) for me after seeing that I was doing my best to move on crutches. 11/10 would recommend. THANK YOU.

Brought my Model S to the service center for an alignment and new key fob. After leaving my vehicle for 8 hours, they notified me that service was complete. Upon arriving, paying for the service and getting my original fob; I learned that they weren't able to program my new fob and that the alignment wasn't completed. I decided to try mobile service and the gentleman that came to my house had the fob programmed in 15 min. I'm pretty sure that whatever tech that performed the service on my car didn't even try and I still got billed for over $300. I've messaged them to find reasoning for the work they didn't do and they are yet to respond. Hopefully, the service center further south is credible and honest.

I recently made an appointment through the app to get my upper arm controls replaced due to squeaking as I drove. I had done some research online where I learned that this was such a common problem that Tesla Service Centers were no longer charging labor. The initial estimate I got was $190 and this made perfect sense as each part was $90 and then taxes were added. A day before my appointment the total went up to $380 because they had added a labor charge. I messaged them about learning that labor was not supposed to be charged and the response was "My car was out of warranty". If the car was under warranty, wouldn't the fix be completely free? I ended up making an appointment at another service center and asked them about this. They verified no labor should've been charged. I just got my car done at the other service center and was in and out in under one hour and my total cost was $194 and the service was awesome. I will never go to the Salt Lake Service Center again. I'm glad I did the research myself instead of just taking their word since they apparently didn't know their own cost. The extra 40 minutes to the other center were well worth saving $200 on a charge that no other service center is charging. Either there is dishonesty going on here or no one cares to ask questions. I had a previous experience here in the winter which was equally as horrible. My car sat in their lot for 2-3 days without being touched and I had to go get a rental car for no reason. Why did my car have to sit for 3 days if it wasn't going to be worked on? Anyways, my faith was restored in the Tesla brand today because of the other service center. This one does not represent the brand well.

I understand the kiosk concept that Tesla is going for. However in Real life application it feels like no one really knows what is going on and there are few experts accessable when you have a question. I know how to look at an app and decipher what it means. When I go to the service center I should be able to get some amount of expertise from the staff. I'd really like a more hands on approach from the front desk staff. It's always a chore to find your car after. Also when getting something fixed I wish they would let you know what to expect. This last time I got my snow tires removed and I had a flat tire. The warning lite remaind on a period of the drive home after service. If I had a heads up I would not have waisted an additional hour chasing the answer from the staff

We were in the midst of a long road trip and rolled in three hours before close on a Friday with some tire issues. They didn t have our tires in stock and called around to some other shops to find our tires, drove us over to pick them up, stayed late to mount them, and got us back in the road. Amazing service.

Good service is what keeps good customers.Issues I have with the "optimized" Tesla service experience:1. You can't request more than one service from the service app. You have to write a message to add to the services. It sure would be nice to actually show the service employees what issues we are having than to define it in the app.2. You can't add new request in the app within 24 hours of the appointment. My perfect example was a glass chip that happened on my way to the service center. They refused to fix it and asked me to setup another appointment. Which is weeks away. Now I have to keep driving in the unsafe broken glass for a few weeks to wait for service.3. No loaners. I drove 25 miles to the downtown service center for a problem that Tesla is having. After paying $120k for the car, is it unfair to ask for a loaner? But no. No loaner available.4. Staff shortage. People at the service center seemed to be in a rush all the time. No time to sit and spend some time with you and understand the problems.5. Parking is a mess. Cars everywhere. I had no clue where to go.I can keep going. I love the concept of Tesla and the electric car but I am selling it soon and getting a Mercedes.Good going Elon.

Car repairs done right! Super simple to set up and adjust appointment through the Tesla app. Great communication leading up to the visit. Easy drop off and quicker than expected turnaround. Life should be so easy.

The service is incredibly inconsistent. Keep calling until you get someone who actually cares about service. Don't give up. I have found some reps will go out of their way to help, while others may key your car and laugh about it.

Every time I've went there the service is bad. Clearly no one is interested in doing their job. Today short staffed, rude and self-entitled.
