I ve been coming to Lok Automotive for many, many years and the service has always been A++. I can t overstate how wonderful, upfront, and thorough these guys are! Always a pleasant experience and the only place I ever take my car. 10/10 would recommend :)

These guys are fantastic. I've now had multiple experiences with them for my truck and taking my girlfriends car to them. Didn't have to wait weeks for an appointment or twenty minutes on the phone just to talk to someone. Whoever is managing their schedule, is doing it the right way.Max at the front is super chill and keeps you updated through the whole process. They're very thorough with their work and great with resolving any concerns or questions you have both before and after you're there. I genuinely haven't had a better experience with customer service anywhere else.If you've got issues with your vehicle, bring it to these guys 100%.

Was lucky enough to have a friend recommend Lok when I first moved to SLC 5 years ago. Have not stopped taking my cars there for service. Lok is always honest, reasonable, and fair. They won t sell you something you don t need, but they will tell you what s going on and what is most important to address. If you are looking for a good honest mechanic look no further. Quality work, timely and fair.

After having my car incorrectly diagnosed at a previous mechanic shop, I m glad I found Lok Automotive. Max and John were great to work with from the moment I first gave them a call. I felt at ease knowing they were being honest about the issues needing to be resolved and not try to scam me like the other shop tried to. I can t recommend them enough and I ll surely be using them as my go to mechanics.

If you re in need of a mechanic look no further than Lok. This is the best car shop I have ever been too. They are honest, straightforward, responsive and reasonable. Hands down the best locals garage in Utah.

John was awesome and got me right in for a diagnostic. Unfortunately, my vehicle's issues are too inconsistent and not throwing any codes, so John gave me his opinion on the possible causes to take back to the shop that did the original work.

I called to get a pre purchase inspection for a used car nearby and they worked me in within two hours. Friendly, thorough, knowledgeable. Max was easy to work with and it was $150. Higher than I ve paid elsewhere but convenient and worth it.

Had work on older Toyota 4.7 was having issue with P0171 code after throwing some parts at it needed to get a quality steam test done. Which they provided and did a solid job finding the leak coming from intake gasket .Which fixed the code. Also got it done fairly fast and gave me a nice T shirt.

Thank you Lok Auto for taking such incredible of my cars over the years! I have been a happy customer for longer than I can remember, and every interaction with Jon, Max, Tyler, and the rest of the team has been fabulous in every single way! If I could leave 10 starts, I would in a heartbeat!

Had a really awesome experience with Lok Automotive, I took my car in and it had some pretty major repairs that needed to be done, and I wasn't interested in keeping the car.They worked with me really well explaining everything that was needed and what my options are. Lok automotovie s staff was incredibly kind and communicative. They were accommodating, especially given I was on a huge time crunch and they were quick to get my car done. I would recommend this place to anyone, do not go to jiffy lube

I love Lok Automotive. They are so reasonably priced, the quality of their work is top notch, they communicate well, and they are fast. Called last Friday to schedule an appointment for today Wednesday. I had a weird issue going on and wasn t sure if theyd be able to all do all the work in one day, but they called me midday to tell me that they could, and they d have it done by the end of the day.Additionally, as a woman, I feel very comfortable and respected in the shop. I have never felt condescended to by any of the people who work there. Unfortunately, this is a very common experience in many other auto shops that I have been to, but not at Lok.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto water leak repair, Brakes, Oil change

Would highly recommend Lok auto shop! Max was very professional, very welcoming, genuine people person, cheerful smile, very helpful & had great prices. I look forward to getting all my future work needs done here and will hands down definitely come back! I had a general idea of what was going on. With that said at the end of the day you have to leave it up to the experts. One thing I admire most about this encounter is Max let me know that he needed to do a diagnostic to figure out exactly what was wrong. After doing so hegave me the news. Super glad I was referred here!!! The shop I almost went to didn t even look at my truck. It s not worth bashing the other shop. Just know that I m so thankful that I went with Lok Automotive!!! Thank you again, Max and the rest of the staff!!!

I have an '08 Outback that inevitably had many problems. Max and Jon took care of it quickly, with extremely fair pricing, and were able to explain every aspect of the repair. My Outback is running the best it has in 6 years at this point. I highly recommend Lok for any and all repairs, particularly if you have a Subaru. Everyone there is wicked nice and made the experience very positive, unlike many experiences at other auto shops/dealers.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Oil change

Jon installed my Firestone ride rite airbags for a great price and was super quick. Really clean install and they work great! Good guys at the shop and I like supporting local small businesses. Arrived in Salt Lake to visit my son. We took our two beloved German Shepherds to Jordan Park for a quick romp. I noticed my son s vehicle making a strange noise. We took the car into Lok Automotive and what a surprise!! Friendly knowledgeable and most importantly .honest!!! The manager Max was a Godsend! They diagnosed the issue and repaired at a very fair price. I definitely recommend Lok Automotive in Salt Lake!!!!

Lok Auto is my go-to shop for for car repairs. Their team is genuine, friendly, and with skilled technicians. After years of expensive services at the dealership, I've transitioned to Lok Auto and haven't looked back. Their honesty and consistent quality work have won me over. Max, in particular, is awesome.

I am so happy that I have finally found an honest mechanic in Salt Lake City. These guys are seriously the best. They are friendly and fast, but more importantly, they are honest. I had been taking my Subaru to the dealer and always felt like I was being ripped off. The last time I took my car to the dealer, they told me that I had oil present in my coolant reservoir, which meant my head gasket was blown and it was going to cost $5,000.00 to fix. I didn't have that kind of money, so I searched the internet and found these guys and took my car in. They too saw, the oil in the coolant reservoir, but upon further inspection, they didn't see any oil in the radiator itself. They did a radiator flush and told me to drive it for a few hundred miles and see what happened. After a few hundred miles, there was still no oil in the cooling system. The dealer was trying to charge me for something I didn't need. Lok Automotive saved me $5,000.00. I have had them do more work since then, and they are amazing! I would never take any of my cars to anyone else. I recommend them to everyone I know. They are awesome!

Went in to find out where a missing hose went and got superior service. Can't say enough good things about this place and the guy that helped me out. Problem fixed and I passed my emissions.

I am so happy I found Max at Lok! I had taken my car to another shop and was told i needed a new alternator. I did some price shopping and am so glad I did! First, the quote was about 500 less than anyone else. Second, after doing a diagnostic, he told me all I needed was a new battery saving me from a costly alternator replacement and a tuneup that was not due for another 25000 miles! Upfront and honest. I will be returning here again for my automotive needs.

Hands down the best spot to take your car!! Lok and Crew are incredibly knowledgeable and professional. The dogs are an added bonus.
