Went to this Jiffy Lube approximately around May for an oil change, went to another Jiffy Lube located in Boise in October for another oil change. When visiting with the lead Tech in Boise they informed me that during my last oil change the incorrect oil was put in my car .. Seriously?!? Not the end of the world but I m upset that this location did not use premium synthetic like I had requested and could have potentially caused harm to my motor. I will not consider or recommend visiting this location for future car needs.

I should ve done my research before coming in to this Jiffy Lube in North Temple in Salt Lake. First off, let me tell you that I came in for a quick oil change, and it took them almost an hour and half just to change my oil. And the sad part about it is that there was only two cars in the shop, which were mine and some other guy that was waiting there more than I was. The second part that makes this experience so awful is the price! they charge me $140 for an oil change and after I took a coupon It was only $120. but here comes the good part! my car has never leaked oil but after visiting that shop my car has an oil leak! Like come on it s $140 for an oil change and you still leave cars with leaks? I suggest that you just stop by at Big O tires and get your oil changed there, because at this, Jiffy Lube, you re getting quality and time stolen from you!Service: Oil change

I was the only customer upon arrival and no one came in after me. Yet my oil change that I ve had other locations perform in under 25 minutes was over an hour. Random people who did not work there were walking into the garage to chat up the employees working on my car which made it take so much longer and honestly made me feel uncomfortable because the people were cursing and seemed really sketchy, and I have had things stolen out of my car at other shops during oil changes. I wouldn t have cared too much though if it wasn t for how slow the employees and manager were. The manager had a really rude attitude when I politely asked how much longer it would take (I really was very kind, I don t like conflict), and he was also very rude to the employees when I heard him berate them for the way they closed up the shop on Saturday. He said they must have been in a huge hurry to leave . Yeah, I would be too with the way you run this shop. Mismanaged places that keep their employees poorly motivated due to under appreciation, and over-worked due to poor time management is YOUR FAULT. I never fault employees of business when I have a bad experience. Clearly this manager is unkind, unprofessional and has no respect for anyone in the shop unless they re his random sketchy friends that stop in to talk. I ll never be back. I want my car serviced by people who don t have me questioning if they re going to treat my vehicle with care.Service: Oil change

Told the tech I had a groupon when I arrived, he said we would take care of that at checkout. Ended up charging me anyway and said they didn't accept Groupon after service was done. Called manager and regional manager who were no help at all. Pisspoor service but the techs were cool.

Very quick. The did a complete oil change, topped of my fluids and rotated my tires. I was in and out in under an hour. They were professional as always. They even cleaned my windows. The reason for four stars instead of five was a sign in the door "recommending" masks. This is Salt Lake County. Covid is rampant here. Please consider requiring masks in your waiting room.

I am overall very unhappy with my experience. I took my Honda CRV in to get an oil change on Friday. When driving that weekend, I began to hear a horrible, loud rattling sound coming from the front of my car. The mechanic forgot to screw the belly pan back on and it was bent, scraping on the ground as I was driving. After coming back in Monday morning and waiting almost 30 minutes for the mechanic to fix it (bend the belly pan back and replace the screws), I left my phone number for the manager to call me. 3 days later and I haven t heard a peep.A Jiffy Lube shop should be able to handle a simple oil change on a Honda CRV and the manager clearly does not care about quality or customer experience. Steer clear from this location.

I was in SLC to visit a friend at the hospital. On my way there my serpentine belt broke. I instantly called my son and he came from Brigham City (this is where we live) to help me. We decided to have my car towed to this jiffy lube because they said they could fix it in 1 HR. This was Wed at 3pm. On Thurs starting early in the morning i was calling to find out about my car. They kept saying they would call me to let me know when it was done. At 4:30 pm i called again and they said they had stopped working on it because they couldn't fix it. I had 2 options...1- have it towed to a sister store and they can fix it but not until Sept 10. (2 weeks from now) and i would have to pay all towing charges, or 2- have it towed to Brigham city and have my own mechanic fix it. Needless to say i chose to tow it to Brigham myself. Because it was so late in the day they tried to tell me they were closing and couldn't wait for me to get there. I had my son in law call and they told him no problem. The pics below shows how they left my car. HORRIBLE STORE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!

I needed plate renewal and emmissions. I checked their website before driving over, and I learned no apt required. I drove to the location, was there at 8:30 a.m. and was told their tech wasn't scheduled to come in until 11AM, so I went somewhere else.Regardless of what the website says, I recommend calling ahead.

Took diff plug out and couldn't get it back in. Had to go down and fix myself. Took over an hour. Manager had bad attitude because they were supposed to close at 430 and it was almost 5pm. 3 vehicles in and out in other bay! Stay away from this one!

I ve been using this Jiffy Lube but today was just absolutely ridiculous. I bring my car in at about 10 am and told it would be about 30 minutes which is fine. The waiting room for some reason is 91 degrees (was the a/c broken or have you gotten that cheap with your customers?)After about an hour I peek outside and my vehicle is exactly where I left it. Another hour passes and the situation hasn t changed. I also am not being told anything as what is causing the delay. At this point I am feeling the effects of the hot weather. I see other cars get driven in that I swear arrived after I did. Almost 3 hours and my vehicle is still in the same place. I just quit and left. I might come back to Jiffy Lube again but not this one.

We waited over an hour and half for service, in order for us to get back to Idaho. The young kids who worked there spent more time arguing with each other than doing the work they were hired to do. They broke the oil dip stick and still wanted me to pay the $40 for it. When I said you broke it not me then they asked if I would pay $20. I said sure if it gets us out of here faster. Then 10 minutes later they said, the dip stick won t be here until after 4 pm. Because the auto parts store doesn t have it in stock and they have to go to the warehouse 15 miles away to get. I said no way am I sitting here waiting for another 2 1/2 hours with my 1 month old grandson who just got out of the hospital. I still got charged $107 for the oil change service. The sign says they hire certified professionals, idk what they re certified in but it wasn t providing customer service. SMDH!Service: Oil change

Went for a oil change early at 8. The employee said 30 min should be plenty for him to change the oil and rotate tires. I asked for a conventional oil which he said he doesn t have access to so i just agreed to synthetic premium sth like that which can go 5k miles. 15 mins in, no signs of him working on my car. Went to him and asked not to rotate the tires just do the oil change. Took 55 mins, i was late for work so i went to the computer station myself and requested another employee to help me checkout. Went to work 5 miles far(didn t hear a sound as i always have a loud music), returned home at 5 and was just about to drive to oregon felt something underneath the engine. Turns out he didn t tightened the under cover of the engine so i had to drive again to the store. Another employee apologised and fixed it, this 1 star is for him. He also found out that the oil wasn t put enough so he had to put an extra(nearly a gallon). The receipt from the morning says service checklist which included vacuum floors, tire pressure check which clearly wasn t done but was marked completed(i was peaking my car all the time from the waiting area). I m not going to this store ever again and I don t think now that he put a premium oil in my car. Paid $115 for this service

I used to be able to trust the guys at North Temple. But today they screwed me over by giving me synthetic instead of conventional oil, and made me pay for their mistake. Thanks for blowing my grocery budget for the month. Now my kid and I have to starve.

This Jiffy Lube is nice because it s very central in downtown SLC. However, I waited there for over an hour today only to be told that they couldn t even perform the work I needed on my car done. Very disappointed, especially because I called to double check earlier in the day and the day before as well to confirm that they would be able to do what was needed on my car.

After they rotated my tires, my truck would bounce all over the road any time I hit 60 mph or faster. I had to make an emergency stop in Heber, which cut into my 3 hour drive. It also took them nearly 2 hours to change my oil and rotate my tires, so I'm assuming they couldn't balance my tires and just threw everything together haphazardly. When I left their shop, my truck's visual interface was pulled up, and they had manually reset my oil notification timer. I'm assuming they did that because the truck didn't detect a new oil filter and fresh oil. So, who knows if they even changed my oil correctly?Needless to say, avoid this shop at all costs.

Before you drain a large truck with kiddos in the back. Please notify the mom if you don't have the oil needed on hand! I would have happily come back after shopping rather than wait while the kids howled in the back seat. Also the tire pressure was low and not checked by the shop. I had to ask for my windows to be washed (we're driving to Oregon) and the mileage in the sticker is 1000 miles over what I asked - we travel alot and like to baby our truck.

Listen I have literally NEVER taken the time out of my day to write a review about ANY establishment. I ve had cockroaches in food, two-hour long waits, etc and not a peep from me. This Jiffy Lube, however, is so painfully terrible, that I felt like I had no choice.LADIES, HERE IS A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL OF YOU:Do not come here by yourself. Even if you re experienced with cars and think you can communicate with the misogynists that run this place - bring a male with you. Seems that any male will do - a dad, a brother, a dog. Do not come here as a woman alone.I used this SAME EXACT location to get my oil changed in October, same exact car, except my dad was driving. It was nice and easy and we rolled out of there for $89.I pulled up to the bay last week and told them I needed an oil change and they didn t ask me any questions or confirm any types - just directed me in and started working. After about 30 minutes (and the person working on my car calling over multiple people to come look at the dipstick that he kept checking), someone came up to my window and said you re done. Total is $161. I WAS SHOOOOOCKED!!!! I said WHAT?? Why is it so expensive??? I only paid $89 last time??? He had absolutely no explanation to offer, and casually told me well most cars take 5 quarts and yours takes 6. And walked away. So that s $12.50 .what about the other $145???These guys were taught to pray on single, inexperienced women and IT SHOWS. I will literally never be coming here again and I m still fuming.Service: Oil change

A little bumpy last visit-I slept through my appointment, then they missed the next one. The tech Zach was able to troubleshoot a ball joint/crankshaft leak and fixed it for about $300. It was quoted at the dealership for $1000. The person who let me know it was ready discounted the alignment, and the Mgr Krystal? gave me an overall discount too, because of the delay. My 3rd 5 star visit, even without the savings!

Told it would take ten to fifteen minutes. Spent over two hours still got nothing done. Ended up paying for half service just so I could leave.

Earlier this year, I went here for an oil change right after moving to Salt Lake and I then had to pay over $300 to repair the damage that this Jiffy Lube caused.Right after they finished the oil change, I drove less than a block and then my car started making a sound like metal was bending and scraping. I was also having a hard time breaking. These are problems that I've never had before with this car. I felt scared for my safety and did not feel comfortable driving my car.I called a friend-of-a-friend who is a mechanic and he recommended that I have my car towed to another shop to get it checked out. He recommended a specific shop he trusted. After describing the problem to him, he was concerned that I would get on the highway, not be able to stop, and get into a crash. I did not take the car back to the Jiffy Lube on North Temple because I was scared they would make the problem worse. After having my car towed to another shop in Salt Lake, the mechanic there took a look at my car and said there was a specific piece that was bent. And he said this specific piece could not have been bent from just driving the car, he said it was a fragile part and would only have gotten bent if someone was working on the car and accidentally hit it. I don't remember the name of the exact piece, I would have to call the shop back. The cost to repair the piece was over $300.I've been very busy with moving to Salt Lake and starting a new job, so I was not able to follow up with the Jiffy Lube until about a month after the incident. When I went to the Jiffy Lube to make them aware of this incident and ask for a refund, I felt belittled by the manager at the shop. She said I should've called right after I noticed the problem and they couldn't help me because I didn't call right away. I tried to explain that the reason I did not call was because I was scared for my safety while driving my car because of a problem this shop caused. She also discouraged me from reporting it to the national Jiffy Lube customer service line, saying it would be a long investigation. In total: I had to pay for the oil change and I did not get a refund, I had to pay to repair the damage they caused, I had to have my car towed, and this shop's work made me feel unsafe while driving my car.Service: Oil change

Brought my car to this place for an oil change. Now that I'm attempting to get my oil changed again by myself I've found out that they stripped a screw holding up my oil pan. I had been getting some light work done on different Jiffy Lubes, but not anymore. I'm never using a Jiffy Lube again.

Do not come to this Jiffy Lube! I came, asked for an emissions test and after waiting for 45+ mins it turns out I was given a $200 oil change I did not need. Never asked about oil, confirmation of whether that s what I needed, etc. Biggest & most blatant rip-off scenario I ve been in. Go somewhere more honest to get what you need done.

I didn t get an oil change today. I stopped in because my engine light was on and could they look at it. They were so nice and took a look at the service lights that were on. Filled up the fluids, put air in my tires and didn t charge me. I will be back! Thank you for your help today

They charged me for change of brakes and they didn t do anything and they took three days to give me my car back and they only refund me 30% of all of it. When I took my car to Big O Tires they told me that all the disks and pads were destroyed and needed to be changed immediately, this happened because JL didn t do their job as I paid for.

These folks ALWAYS take care of me. We've had a couple of bumps on scheduling my favorite tech, Zach, but they have gone above and beyond and discounted to compensate for the lag time. This is my fourth 5 star rating. Crystal and her team deserve every one of them.

By far the worst experience I've ever had at any car service place. They told me 30-45 minutes and asked me to wait around. I went and grabbed a coffee and came back an hour later. Not only were they not done, they took another whole hour and still didn't finish everything I asked them to do. At this point I had to get back to work so I had to tell them to forget the tire rotation and just bill me and let me leave. After that I waited for ANOTHER 20 MINIUTES just to have them charge me DOUBLE the highest amount I've ever paid for an oil change. So they were over priced, slow, and did not know what they were doing. Pleas we save yourself the money and headache and go to a better shop.

Be wary if you are a women coming to this location, they may scam you to get more money. I requested a normal oil change but was given synthetic oil that is not needed for my car and is double the cost of other oil. The experience was overall fine and the staff was nice but I wouldn't recommend this place if you're inexperienced with cars or a single women because they may try to add or change your requests to up the cost
