Excellent service, communication and professionalism all at a great price. Dan and the folks at Freeway transmission are top notch starting with the first phone call where I received transparent, up front pricing. During my trucks repair I received regular updates with pictures, suggestions and cost saving measures to service my truck while other work was being done. When I showed up at the shop to get my truck, it was extremely clean for a service garage and Dan treated me with the utmost professionalism. Even with some extra work done outside the original issue, they came in $1400.00 under my other service center. I highly recommend Freeway Transmissions!

They did great work on my truck thought it was going to be a bigger issue than what was fixed thank god they took a thorough look(free diagnostics) I forgot to ask to change the liquids and filter they did it themselves without me asking which is basic 101 of good mechanics cause what s the sense of fixing and replacing and not help maintaining. Best part it took them 17 hours from dropping off mid day to next morning done and done! Worth it!

These guys stuck with me through everything. I had so many questions about my 4L60E/Transfer case install , and they were exceptionally patient and forthcoming with information and guidance. Never once did I ever feel like I made mistake doing business here. These guys made me feel welcome in their place of business, and I was always happy to come in and visit with them.

This place is awesome. I highly recommend them for any transmission issues you may get to experience.I will mention I knew I was "leaving" my vehicle here for a while. They are normally very busy and very good about the service they provide. This is not normally going to allow them to be super fast.I received multiple phone calls as they proceeded with pictures and good descriptions of the issues identified. They explained what they would be accomplishing in decent detail and the effective price. Due to the amount of work being done and the time it had taken, I was really pleased with the overall price for the repair.Very happy with the way my truck is no longer leaking. Pictures are of the drive line that had been smacked hard at some point in the past and the leaking transmission before they started to fix it.Service: Transmission

The Freeway team in Salt Lake did what my local mechanic could not; they diagnosed not one but two mysterious sounds in my car.The team, at a time when the shop looked very busy, added me on to the schedule to check out my concerns.Dan, Sean and perhaps others could have stopped when they discovered it wasn t a transmission issue as part of a warranty followup, but they didn t.While on thehoist, they made a small adjustment, and then suggested a trusted Volvo mechanic to further confirm what they found, and fix the problem. That s service.Thank you !

I thought I had a transmission problem and had talked with a couple of repairs shops. I finally took my 4Runner to Freeway Transmission and they found I had a electrical issue - the internal and external wiring harness pins were corroded. They were thorough with explanations and the repair was about 1/3 of what I expected to pay to have my transmission rebuilt. I would recommend them as skilled, honest, and thorough.Service: Electrical

Recently I had my 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in for a transmission problem. They diagnosed that I needed a new transmission as the current one was shot and could not be repaired. Freeway Transmission replaced the transmission, but the running temperature was too high and they were not satisfied. So they put in a second transmission with the same result. The company then tried an auxiliary cooler and it worked - temperature problem fixed. They installed this auxiliary cooler at no charge. The goal was to make the customer (me) happy - I was happy! Also, the front drive line needed to be balanced. This work was completed and I took home with my new transmission and auxiliary cooler. On the way, I heard a noise or vibration that was not there before. I took it back and they rebalanced the front drive and the rear drive line, just to make sure. There is no vibration and the noise is gone.I worked with Dan Humphrey all along the way and he was great! He called me several times during the repair process to keep my informed and up-to-date. I was very happy with Freeway Transmission and would highly recommend them to anyone.Thank you, Freeway Transmission!Service: Transmission

Nate and Dan were upfront and transparent. Great guys and good customer service. Had them do a clutch replacement on my firebird. I was super busy so they just handled the job, got the car towed in for me and got right to work on it. It s my fun summer car so I was super happy with how quickly they were able to get things done for me. These guys definitely did a great job in a timely fashion and kept me updated along the way. Fair pricing and they never tried to create problems with the car that didn t exist. All in all some good honest guys who will do a good job for you. I would definitely recommend them if your in need of any work being done.

Had a 2003 Honda Civic that needed a clutch replacement. These guys were quick, communicated very well, and found more problems with my car that they fixed for me, since they were already digging around in there. I think they saved me about $300. They were nice, and the clutch in my car is still working swimmingly. I recommend these guys for all clutch/transmission work. Excellent customer service, and speedy repair. Overall, just a great shop.

I was on a road trip last year, from Reno to Florida. I made it to Salt Lake City when my transfer case broke. I was recommended by a nearby shop to this shop. They fixed my transfer case in two days, pulled me out of a pinch, and the work they did is still holding up today. I couldn t recommend this place more highly. Grateful for their quality service. Thanks again.Service: Transmission

I brought in my vehicle to this location for a leak that I had from my transfer case for some time and for a couple other leaks as well that were not as major as the one with the transfer case and to see what they would find and made sure it was what I had noticed as well which was told and given a price for to fix the leaks! I would have given a 5 star, when the transmission was service for the leak of the shifter and the drain pan would have had the price to fix it, how ever Dan didn't have the cost for it to be fixed or replaced at that time he called to inform me and what to do I said I will hold off on it till a little later for me to get a little more cash flow. I was great full and pleased about my other car transmission being rebuilt at this location instead of the other one one, since this is where they have there shop at instead of having to ship it to another location to rebuild either transfer cases or transmissions. The customer service desk person i felt was lot more friendlier at this one then one of the other stores that I went to and I am glad that not one time did he bring up or mention anything about my other one. I just might change the stars on the other one for my satisfaction on the workmanship which I am still pleased about, but not for the customer contact point and pressure! Hopefully I will come back to this location for my transmission to be either rebuilt or replaced in a couple of months when my funds for it allows me to do so and I don't get pressured for my other review when I pick up my vehicle and have a price for it, labor and parts. Since I don't drive it very far and usually when it snows, which happens to be 2-3 months of the winter months, to work and home being about 24 miles round trip. Better feeling of costumer contact as well

They are very professional. I have auto repair business and I buy all my transmissions from them for my customers. I had 2 or 3 transmissions that had small issues and there warranty process is the best out there. They back it up better than any company I have ever delt in the 15 yrs I have been in business. There prices are very competitive. Love doing business with them and highly recommend them for your transmission needs!!

Our business commuter van broke down, Freeway Transmission assisted us in getting it towed, fixed and back to functioning in less time than was estimated AND for better price than we could get anywhere else in the area. We worked with Dan, he communicated all the details with no surprises when we picked it up. We would recommend them.

I've had a transmission rebuilt on a car and had my truck serviced twice by Freeway, and their prices and service are the best you will find! They only service transmissions therefore you know they can handle any make or model with great experience and knowledge.I have recommended them to several others as their customer service is outstanding and they do a quality job while keeping you updated on any other repairs that may be needed.

I was really pleased with my experience at Freeway Transmission. They diagnosed the problem really quick and made sure they got my truck fixed quickly. When first calling they were helpful in giving me a rough estimate of what cost I may be looking at. They also helped recommend some other repairs that needed to be done.

My car was having transmission issues and with that I was expecting a major repair and an expensive fix. After taking my car to Freeway Transmissions, they discovered it was only a solenoid issue, and it was a minor fix. Even if it had been a major repair, I know my car was in good hands. I absolutely recommend their services to anyone who needs them. Their customer service and honesty will not disappoint.

This is an amazing shop for transmission work. Nate, Dan, and crew took good care of our pickup. It needed a rebuilt transmission and transfer case. In our case they had it done within a week and we're competitive in pricing. They impressed us with their service and professional attitude.

Dan and the team were great to work with. Excellant customer service. Friendly and helpful. Informed me of engine leak issues that needed to be taken of. Showed me pics of what was wrong internally with my transmision and explained to me in detail what i would be looking at cost wise. Best of all, they were able to complete the work a day sooner than expected. All in all, an awesome experience!

They gave me a quote over the phone and even though more work needed done than they thought they stuck to the price. They were faster than the quoted turn around time and were very friendly. Trans has 1000 miles on it now and is still working great.

Good place to do business. I purchased a rebuilt transmission for my 92 ford ranger. About 6 months later I started to have some problems with it. They tested the transmission then told me it would need to be replaced. They replaced the transmission for me . Did all the work under warranty. There was no cost to me. They were friendly and professional. I will do business with them again.

My friend and I drove from NYC to move here, and on our way, the transmission gave out in Nebraska. We towed it here to SLC, and were charged $400 at another shop just to affirm that it was indeed the transmission that was FUBAR.Mark from Freeway Transmissions & Clutches was very honest, transparent, and kind, recommending what he would do in my situation. I appreciated his advice very much, and agreed to the transmission replacement amongst other minor repairs. His team towed my vehicle from the $400-scam-shop, and got to work!I cannot express my gratitude enough, with how much this shop did to get my vehicle repaired. Thank you to Mark, Dan, Nate, and (I believe) Sean, for their hard work! I ll be back for the 500 mile check-up.

I have was referred to this company by my mechanic due to the limited expertise with my transmission. I was under the understanding that as a specialist tranmission, the company was able to fix my problem.I asked them to contact the the mechanic that referred them over. To help understand what was previously done with the transmission. For troubleshooting purposes.I was told the transmission needed Diagnostics. The company did not contact my mechanic, charged me for a hour of labor and told me I was luck because I was 2 hours. To run the same test that it had been through times previously. The same man I spoke with on the phone was rude, talked over me repeatedly, and did not listen to the problem fully before speaking... this resulted the transmission not being repaired, as well as me being charged for an hour of diagnostic. The part that really bothered me was how freely the same service technician from the phone was willing to badmouth the mechanic, the transmission Builder and everyone else involved. It was extremely unprofessional and overall unhelpful for my situation as a end user. When i express my problem with the entire situation and actual service adjustment needed on the transmission I was once again talked over rudely and once again all of the possibilities of error or mistake was placed on every other possible person. I did not let on two the level of experience I have with the mechanical aspects of the transmission or how often I contract out other builders. It felt a little like he was attempting to confused me extra information and Technical terms.I have dropped the transmission off at another specialist, they were able to properly diagnose the problem and have ordered the part and we'll have it within the day.I would not work with this company solely based on based customer service. The behavior that I dealt with on this occasion worries me, because simply put somebody is dealing with themI have been restoring cars and working with contract builders 10 years or more. This is not a company worth dealing with. I do not and would not suggest anyone dealing with them

Recently purchased a 1993 Dodge Dakota Extended Cab Truck with a camper on it. Was unsure that the the drive train was in good condition, especially the wheel bearings. I wanted to be sure that it was road worthy, as I did not want to have it break down out in the boonies. Was a bit apprehensive about taking it to any shop to have if assessed, for fear of being taken advantage of for un-needed repairs. But after reading the review about this shop, I decided to chance it, because I really wanted to know the condition of my drive train. The customer service at the front desk was top notch, very straight forward, and I especially appreciated them explaining to me how they only use US made steel bearings and parts that last. They road tested the rig and put it up on the lift and gave it a real good look over. They told me everything was fine with the drive train, but I did have a few things to tighten up on the undercarriage like the exhaust system. This thorough assessment was at no charge! So down the road, when I do need drive train work, I know I will be going to this highly professional shop with total confidence.

Look no further than taking your vehicle to Freeway Transmission. My Hyundai dealer told me I would need a new transmission and quoted me shockingly high price. I brought it to Freeway Transmission and they were ran some tests, pulled codes and gave me a breakdown of repairs. Dan communicated with me well, was honest, pleasant and they got me back on the road quick at almost half the price as I was quoted from the dealership.

Gotta say a huge thanks to Larry and the guys at Freeway. Even though they are super busy, they took the time to help me out passing through SLC in a big way. He was able to quote me a fair price on my transmission job.If you need a big job done, these guys are the ones to help! Thanks so much fellas.
