Best shop in town! I've been jerked around and overcharged by other mechanics for bad work, but every time I've gone into Flinn they always resolve every issue in a timely manner with fair pricing. Mike is always very communicative and straightforward. Every mechanic that works here does a great job. I could go on and on about how helpful they've been. They restored my faith in mechanics and I will recommend them to everyone that needs any car work done. Thanks y'all!

Excellent customer service, I trust this team to take care of my car in the most affordable way possible. They are my go to, I ve had to wait to bring my car in during a super busy time but I d happily wait for them instead of bringing it somewhere else

I planned a two week vacation to the Grand Tetons from California stopping in Salt Lake for two days for Evermore Park. As we were leaving Utah and entering Wyoming, my Jeep lost all power and I was towed back to Flinn Automotive. Turns out I needed a new engine. Mike was amazing! He explained the problem to me and gave me options. He worked through Pioneer Days to install my new engine in less than a week, knowing that I was stranded and desperate to have some sort of vacation. I completed my vacation and made it back to California with no additional problems. My car runs like a champ now! Thanks Mike and Flinn Automotive. Nice to know you can count on honesty and work ethic in an unfamiliar city.

I have been coming here for 3 years and only here. I go for tires, maintenence, brakes, inspections, whatever. Mike and his team are kind people who give you an honest assessment and price. I couldn't be happier to live close to this shop and call them my mechanic. They get your car back to you when they say they will and do good work. The last few times I brought my vehicles in they skipped a couple things I needed fixed. I won't go anywhere else though.

I have tried 3 shops since moving to Salt Lake and Flinn s level of excellence and value has been the best. They answer all of my questions and do things to OEM specifications and turn repairs and service around so quickly. Flinn has been the best auto repair shop Ive been able to find in the salt lake area. They are honest and fairly priced. Last time I went in for an oil change, they fixed my broken windshield wiper for free, just because they noticed it was broken! Great service.

Mike is great, very honest and the quality of service is amazing!Just wanted to give an update. Went back for service today (1/14/21) and the car was done before I could finish having breakfast at home! There was a miscommunication on what I wanted specifically but Mike made it right. This is why I like coming here! You d be foolish to go anywhere else. Service is stellar, and the work is quality and fast. I would give this place a 10/5 if I could!

Fast friendly service and an experienced crew. Mike (the owner) is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Inexpensive oil changes and these guys won't try to upsell a bunch of unnecessary repairs unless it truly is for you or your vehicles safety.

I had a sudden and dramatic brake malfunction on a Friday afternoon. The guys at Flinn squeezed me in with extremely short notice, communicated extremely well and completely replaced my brake pads, shoes, and rotors all in just a few hours on a Friday, and even stayed late to make sure I could pick up my car before the weekend. Absolutely excellent top notch service, I won't be taking my car anywhere else in SLC.

Pleasant to talk with, not pushy, inexpensive, great work. I have gone to Flinn multiple times, and I get the sense that they do what they have to without trying to up-sell me. One time they fixed my ignition, and instead of doing a pricier operation they found a way to solve the problem for like 20 bucks. They easily could have done the more expensive procedure and I would not have known the difference. I'm not surprised they have such high ratings.

Mike Flinn and his father have been taking care of our vehicles for decades ~35 years. Mistakes are a part of life and on the rare occasion an employee made a mistake-they always made it right. I trust these folks with my life. They treat my friends the same way. They will not up sell or make up stuff. Honesty is their stock in trade. I was stranded in SLC during the Memorial Day weekend. Mike was able to get me back on the road Tuesday. From what I can tell they did quality work and are very honest. If I lived in SLC I would patronize this shop.

I work close to Flinn Automotive and noticed that one of my customers had a vehicle there to get fixed. I asked him about Flinn Automotive and he said he had been using them for his fleet for years and was extremely satisfied.So, I started using Flinn for anything from an oil change (which is priced very fairly) to some major work. I have had nothing but great service from them. They are honest, friendly and fair.Most places that offer a low oil change price will try to upsell you to do so much unnessesary work (I am thinking of J**** L***). Flinn Automotive does not do this at all. I think he may have suggested something once or twice, but I never felt like I was being pressured or sold services that were not necessary.I am sure there are other good shops out there, but Flinn Automotive is one you can always count on for honest service and a fair price.

I've been bringing my car here for about a year or so. Mainly oil changes, but some more involved repairs as well. It's lovely to be able to fully trust your mechanic and they also go the extra mile to work with you & make you happy.

I'm retired Delta Air Lines and actually have not met this gentleman HOWEVER recently a dear friend took his truck in for two O2 sensors. The discussion around the coffee table was about, not only, the phenomenal customer service but the quality and fairness of price.My reason for reviewing is my friend has no computer.

These guys are awesome!!!! We went in for an oil change and only spent 20 minutes there. Talk about inexpensive and great quality. I HIGHLY recommend these guys.
