I highly recommend this place!!! My boyfriend and I traveled from Florida and we were going to rent with enterprise until they left us stranded 2000 miles away from home with no car or sympathy! Then we came upon this place through the grace of God and they were phenomenal, every aspect of this business is great. The cars, the employees, the process to rent a car, and THE PRICE!!!! They allow under 25 drivers for a small fee and they allow you to use debit or credit!This place definitely saved our trip with the rental car! We will be back soon hopefully!!

I have been renting a car here for several years and they are simply THE BEST!! I'd rate them a 5 star every time for customer service, professionalism and great pricing. They have accommodated special situations several times, as I come to SLC about 3 times a year and can't always control my travel timing. It's easy to find, convenient location and right next to a gas station and mini mart. They are so personable and are the only rental car place I've ever dealt with that doesn't feel like they're trying to rip you off. Highly recommended!!!

Cindy from Discount Rent-a-Car at Commerce Drive in Murray went above and beyond in customer service. My car is getting serviced indefinitely and Cindy came to pick me up from the dealership. Her staff, Kyle and Jared, got my car ready effortlessly. They are all very personable and treated me like a friend. I mentioned I was needing a car windshield replacement- totally unrelated to car rental. Cindy called my insurance to sort our details and she had me in contact with her business of choice. I will rent from her again.

These people met me in a friendly unhurried manner, listened to my desires, offered me a reasonably priced vehicle. The whole experience was lovely from beginning to return. I will return next time I need a rental!

I highly recommend discount rent a car to anyone who is looking for awesome customer service polite workers with great services when looking for a company to rent a car last min to Vegas for our daughters NRL rugby game no one would rent to use because we didn t have a credit card but thankfully Kyle and Jerry help us out with their awesome service that we got to go to our daughters game I will definitely be back my family appreciate you guys and the atmosphere is like family

I've rented a car here a few times. And I would like to genuinely thank Cindy, Kyle and Jeared for taking care of me. This last time I came in Cindy was so helpful and I appreciate her honesty. It's very inspiring to get the help and knowledge from a woman when it comes to vehicles. I feel like she went above and beyond with my situation and explaining things. I truly appreciate the customer service! I would highly recommend renting a car from here!!Thank you!!

These guys are great they saved the day after we wrecked our car on the way to Colorado from CA. We were stuck in Salt Lake with no credit card to rent a car from the big rental companies only debit which they wouldn t accept, and thankfully I found this place and they were so accommodating. We were given extra days on our rental with no problems and they were kind, friendly, honest and so much better then the corporate competitors. I d rather give them my $ any day. This is a locally owned and operated business and if you re in Salt Lake City and need a rental car i highly recommend using them. Special shout out to Aaron, who was funny, and provided excellent customer service and communication from start to finish. They saved our Christmas holiday and we are so grateful to them for the service they provide that the other companies don t!!

Easily the best rental car experience we've ever had! When we had to call in a panic 30 minutes before they closed, Cindy was so reassuring and accommodating. Kyle was so personable and helpful, and had us on the road with no issues. There is clearly an advantage to renting from a family-run business, and we will use them again in the future!

Great employees, great experience. Will use them from now on for my rentals. As long as you have good insurance they will take debit cards and drivers under 25. Do not expect a BMW or Dodge Challenger as a premium car. These guys are taking a big risk doing what the big companies won't. You get a good car at great rates and no one else will take your debit or your kid. My first choice from now on.

These guys turned my frown upside down!I was having the worst day. My car towed to the dealership. Made a reservation for a rental at a competitor. Ubered there. They didn't have a car despite my reservation. I called Discount Rent A Car. They were closing in less than an hour. They had a car! AND they would pick me up from their competition's place of business. I'm thirsty as I wait. But the place I am at has no water. Aaron from Discount picks me up. Let's me take the car he picked me up in so I don't have to haul my stuff around. They have a water fountain and vending machine! It felt like heaven! Discount Rent A Car saved my bad day and made it better! Funny how a few things going right, caring, great service, and simple luxuries can do that.Renewing my reservation for a second day was an easy call. Upon dropping the vehicle off the owner personally greeted me. Kyle at the front desk was friendly and fun. They had me back out of there with no hassle at all.

They saved the day!!!! My rental fell through with another place, and left my credit card in N.C!!! So I would have been stuck 4 days with no car on my daughters Bday weekend :( but the crew at this establishment got me into a car, in my price range, clean and run smooth! Crew was profressional, kind and had a few laughs. Thanks again. I don't think you guys know how much this weekend meant to my kids and I. Yall are the real MVP!!!

Great friendly awesome amazing people. Jared,Kyle,Aaron and Cindy are amazing people. I honest to God love them all its a great family owned business they're honest and very good to customers. Communication is all it takes they will accommodate most request & they've earned my loyalty so try them I promise you will love these guys because after my wreck in March I actually purchased a car from these guys and they've treated me so good. This company is wonderful and great prices good clean cars and they all treat you so good it's like a happy family & this makes all the difference in my opinion.

Wish I could rate them lower. The car we were given was not in a condition to be driven. Original had a rental car through the airport and when arrived found out no car was available. Our only other option was discount rent a car who charged me more than the original rental car. On top of that, I felt SUPER UNSAFE is the vehicle we were given. The entire car would shake when driving down hills and pressing on brakes. We called and told them about it and then they came back and said we had never brought this up to them, and they charged us MORE! I do not trust a company that puts my life at risk and lies. Try ANYWHERE ELSE! Especially if you have children. ALSO PROBLEMS WITH THEM PULLING MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AND THEY HANG UP ON ME OVER AND OVER. Then I had to file a complaint of FRUAD against Discount -rent a car.

The staff who work here are awesome! Kyle at the desk is very informative and helpful. And Aaron actually drove me where i needed to go when i turned the vehicle back in!! They assisted me in a time of need while my vehicle was getting repaired. I highly recommend this family owned company over any of the other rental agencies here in the Salt Lake area and the Airport!!

Seriously one of the best experiences I've Had to date with a rental car company. They were able to accommodate us with a vehicle with 4 wheel drive at 6pm (their closing time). We called them at 545pm the same day. This would've never happened at a larger auto rental center. Car was reliable and affordable. Family owned rentals for the win!

This place saved our whole trip! As first time travelers (without a credit card) we ran into a trip ruining dilemma when we couldn t rent the car we already reserved at fox rentals. Luckily we came across Discount Rent-a-Car on google and went to check them out. Immediately we were met with great customer service, the ability to rent a car with a debit card and insurance, and a way better deal than fox (better car too). Screaming it from the hills go to Discount Rent-a-Car wether you re in a similar situation or not! Totally worth it!

The staff here were amazing! They were so professional and easy to work with. This is the cheapest car rental place but they dont sacrifice quality either. They are really honest here. I can see why they are rated so highly. I recommend to everyone.

These guys were awesome. I travel often for work and I rent cars all the time. When I needed to do a local rental I ended up giving these guys a try. I was hesitant because of horror stories about local rental places.I was more than pleasantly surprised. They were very honest, and more than accommodating. The car I got was a great car. The prices were fair. I was charged exactly what I was quoted. They didn't try to do anything even remotely dishonest. They even stayed late to let me return the car as I was stuck in traffic.I would recommend them over any major rental agency any day of the week.I couldn't have been more impressed with the service I received.

Discount Rent-A-Car not only knows what customer service is but they go beyond to ensure customer satisfaction! I flew in from Seattle and needed a good reliable car that s great on gas. This establishment made sure I got a good deal on the car I chose and the prices are great! Upon returning my rental my car keys fell in the rental without me knowing. I flew back to Seattle only to realize I didn t have my keys. I called discount rent a car. Aaron was absolutely amazing. He did a thorough check in the rental. What shocked me was his willingness to run to the closest FedEx as soon as he found my keys. He didn t hesitate. He went right away and gave me the prices for priority mail and texted me the receipt for my keys to be shipped the next day! This man did not have to be so prompt or offer to be so helpful yet he did and I m super thankful to him! I also want to give a shout out to Kyle. This man always takes care of me the two times I ve used their service. He has a great attitude and cheerful personality. He goes out of his way to give the best experience to his customers! I am beyond impressed with how friendly all the staff are! They really take pride in their work and treat you like family! So you to all of you for being so amazing! You are appreciated!

I have been doing business with Discount Rent a Car since they started in a trailer. I have always had friendly, honest, professional and fair treatment. They have always gone out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with their service and quality.I would highly recommend them to all my friends and associates, in fact I do. They are easy to find, since they are right off of I-15 on 45th St.

This is a great place to get a rental or even purchase a car!!! The staff is always friendly and happy to help however possible. Its hard for me to mention just one staff member when I know them all to be great. I been using them for several years now. I work in hotels and I always refer my out of town guests when they inquire about a rental.They have always been good to me, working with me when ever possible. If something breaks or needs tending to they have never hesitated to fix it. I have purchased one car from them and now on my second. Jared worked with my husband to find just the right SUV for me and I absolutely love it.

Some of the kindest and most professional people we had the pleasure of meeting on our getaway to SLC. Kyle made renting the car very easy while we chatted to Cindy about the history of Utah. Many issues occurred in getting a car but they just wanted us to have a great time. The car itself drove great and was very roomy. Returning the car with Jared and Aaron was a breeze. The entire staff was extremely friendly and informative. They were a huge reason why our little getaway in SLC was so wonderful.

Everytime I rent a vehicle with them they never disappoint... I would recommend coming to this place before any other car rental in the valley
