I was wary when I read some of the reviews after already purchasing my tires online. The tires were delivered to the store promptly, I was able to make an appointment online quickly and easily, and my experience having my tires installed was painless and able to get my shopping done while I waited. Overall a good experience. I do, however, agree with previous reviews that you will not get anyone on the phone at the tire center. I have tried multiple times at all times of day. It's unfortunate, because it doesn't really reflect the overall competence of Costco and their values.

During my past 2 visits to this tire center, to discuss a potential manufacturer warranty on tires purchased here and then to price new tires I've had the unfortunate experience of working with Ernesto. His generally condescending attitude and bad mood drove me to look for tires elsewhere. I refuse to purchase large ticket items from rude and condescending people. You lost a repeat customer.

This is the worst service you ll ever get. In the past I ve wasted an entire day at the tire center because the guy at the counter kept saying it was almost done after they gave me a call. That was 8 hours wasted between me and my husband. We thought this might be that associate s bad customer service behavior and decided to give them another try and same thing. An associate skipped us while we were in line to help the person behind because he forgot his membership after waiting a while. I do not recommend Costco. These people don t value your time.

Subpar service! Here is a suggestion based on repeat experience - schedule clients for service based on true staffing and ability to deliver on promise. This is not hard! I for sure would appreciate realistic expectations are set upfront which allows me to make an informed decision on the need to seek service elsewhere.Nobody available to check clients in at scheduled time (arrived earlier and waited for 15 min past my schedule start to hand over vehicle keys)One hour service time quoted at scheduling, extended to 75 min at check in. 30 min added during service, lack of staffing cited as a cause!Unacceptable!

Great price but discouraged for the waiting time. I lost the warranty because of the tire rotation. After set up an appointment then an hour waing time on the line then 2 hours waiting time till they call for the tire rotation is done.

I would not recommend buying tires here or getting service here. It's difficult to get an appt and even when you can get an appt, you still have to wait 1.5 hours. One of my wheel center caps went missing after my last rotation and they refuse to own up to the fact that they broke it, so now I'm out $35 for a replacement cap. I was told that my car is old and it "just broke." Okay. Those don't just fall out, the dealer agreed with me on that. They also refuse to answer their phone as they "just have too much volume." I saw multiple other people complaining about the phone in the reviews here. Last time I picked up my car they didn't even verify my name or ID so my car could have been given away to anyone. AVOID.

Worst place to get tires. They ordered the wrong tires when I gave them the right specs and then they charged me extra for them the day they put them on. Really loved paying more money because of their mistake.

Found out my wife's tires were bald went to go get them replaced didn't have my membership with me but had my wife's card and they wouldn't replace the tires. Tried to offer to FaceTime or call my wife to verify but they refuse to help. Even offered to have her drive down if they could just start replacing the tires but again they refused. Not at all helpful not willing to work with customers not willing to be supportive at all. I was ready to spend over $1,000 on tires but apparently they don't need my business.

Ordered tires in person. Was told they would contact me when tires were delivered to the store location. Haven t received a call and haven t been able to contact a single individual via phone and I know for a fact someone is just neglecting the phone line. The department needs to contact me or I need to be able to contact them. Feels like they took my money and just don t care at this point. This is unacceptable and will reconsider my membership renewal.

Bought tires through the Costco website an due to shipping issues and inability of costco customer service to reach anyone at this tire center, it was more than a month until the tires actually arrived at the center. Once there, their appointments were booked out almost another month. They never pick up their phone so I've been unable to reach them to try to find a walk-in time, or to find out if I can just pick up the tires and have them installed elsewhere. Even the admins at the warehouse couldn't get them to call me back. Last time I buy tires from costco, and for your sake, JUST STAY AWAY.

Should have looked at the reviews before going here. Had my winter tires swapped to summer tires that I already had. They forgot to put my lugnut key back and I had to turn around and go back and get it. They also left lubricant all over the wheels and tire sidewalls and also got that lubricant on my interior door panels. Lastly the charged me for tire disposal but then bagged them up and put them back in my car. What an annoying trip, go to Discount Tire instead.

I made an appointment to get a new tire put on after a road hazard destroyed one of mine. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment, dropped off my keys, then waited over TWO HOURS! I had an appointment for something that should take 20 minutes, there's no excuse for such bad service. The women at the desk were polite and helpful but the wait time was beyond frustrating. Next time I'm going to Walmart, it's less expensive and they take care of their customers in a timely manner.Update: it has now been THREE hours. Costco, pay your mechanics more so you aren't woefully understaffed! At the very least give an accurate wait time instead of saying it will be about 30 minutes every time a customer checks in.

I bought a set of tires through Costco and had them installed at their tire center. When I came to pick up my car they informed me that two of my lug nuts were stripped, and told me that I was fine driving with missing lug nuts. I was told it wasn't a big deal and I could just go to my car dealership or an auto zone to buy myself some new ones... I understand that mistakes happen but seems like the bare minimum they could have done is call ahead to a auto shop to pay for some new lug nuts. After they reluctantly admitted that the stripped lug nuts were their fault I was offered a piece of pizza to make up for the issue. Definitely would not recommend bringing a car here if you want quality service.

Upcharged for tire swap because apparently they have 2 different prices for exchanging tires-- and it hinges on whether you bought the tires from Costco or not. Would've preferred it if Hueyae had gotten it right the first time around.Oh, and the whole "Your TPMS is broken thing, you gotta replace it" was nonsense. My TPMS light has been on FOREVER (like years) at this point because I've neglected to inflate the spare tire mounted on the back of the car. It's not broken, but good attempt on the upsell/swindle.Also, it was awesome seeing them toss my dirty tires in the back of my car, unbagged, so I gotta clean things out again. Please bring back the employees who had brain cells working here before. They were what made Costco tire swaps a breeze. Now it's reminiscent of going to a Jiffy Lube and it takes 1.5h for a swap (1 set of wheels) WITH an appointment.

I purchased my tires here in 2019 and they were still under warranty based on my tread use. I came in with 2 issues and they fixed my tires free of charge! The Toyota dealership said that the nail could not be fixed and the mechanics at Costco had it fixed in 20 min. This is the only place I buy tires and I advise all of my friends to do the same. The staff was so nice. Thank you!

Ordered tires from Costco.com. Five days later I was notified by email that I could schedule the appointment for installation. I scheduled. Costco sent me a confirmation of my appointment. Arrived on install date to find that my tires had never even been shipped to the store. Tire employee told me that they had left multiple messages on my phone to let me know my tires weren t in. I never received any calls. When I pressed her for dates and times when I was called she finally admitted that they *should* have called me. But admitted that they had no record that they *did* call me. Cancelled my order after driving 3 hours to this location. I went to BigO Tires and had them installed the same day for $47 more in total. Well worth it! I hate being lied to.

Ernesto and team are top notch. Very friendly and they installed new snow tires on my spare set of wheels without a second thought. Thanks guys!

the best way to describe my costco tire experience is to liken it to the 7 realms of hell. I don't even know where to start. Lets just sat they screwed up every aspect of what should have been a normal, regular experience. Do not, under any circumstance, get your tires done here. Even if they are a couple hundred dollars cheaper. You will regret it.

The tire center is currently a nonfunctional disaster. I ve called over 30 times today to reschedule an appointment tomorrow due to an urgent work issue completely out of my control, and no one will pick up the phone. I ve been driving on a spare tire for three weeks because the store had to order the tire and didn t have appointments for another week after it finally arrived. I finally called over and over until someone took the phone off the hook and continued to serve other customers, but refused to actually speak to me. I just heard them speaking to customers in the background. As a business practice, choosing not to answer the phone a single time all day long, then just take it off the hook until the person on the other end hangs up is absolutely unacceptable. I m a paying customer. I shouldn t have to physically go into the store to resolve a simple issue like rescheduling an appointment that I can t change online. Next time I m in the market for tires, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I appreciate that the employees are swamped and miserable right now, but that doesn t excuse the antics. These shenanigans are not worth the wasted time and effort.

I have purchased two sets of tires from Costco Tire Center and the quality of work has always been great but I will never buy a set of tires from here again. There is no reason it should take 2 hours (with an appointment) for a tire rotation and balance that takes 15-20 minutes virtually anywhere else. Costco's tires would have to be 50% less than their competition for me to even consider buying tires from them again with as much time I have wasted waiting for basic services over the life of my tires. I've tried other Utah locations with the same results so I assume this is common of all Costco Tire centers.

The service exceeds the price!Since my first purchase of tires from Costco Tire Centers I haven't looked back. Three cars and 10 sets of tires later I could not be more pleased. When we had a screw in the sidewall they handled the warranty replacement like champs. When we've needed a leak fixed (even hard to locate), they did it quickly, and with a smile. Absolute professionals.Because even when the price on the initial purchase is great, it's the follow-up service that counts.

I ve finally decided that I ve spent too many hours of my life waiting around while they do their work. I ve never waited less than 2 and a half hours, even for a scheduled rotation. They sold me tires that were supposed to last 50k miles, and when two of them were destroyed after 10k, they told me it was my fault, and I should pay them more money to fix it. I like how affordable they are, and the people who work there are nice and professional, but this tire center is built to be a hack job service. They overbook appointments, are always understaffed, always take longer than they say they will, often do not answer the phone, or no one is at the desk, and when things don t go well for me, they tell me it s my fault. It s worth it to me to spend another 20$ and go somewhere where they communicate more effectively, are efficient, and have a smoother customer service process.

Super friendly staff. I went in to get new tires that I ordered online. The website is so easy to use and when my tires came in it was amazing how smooth it was to set up an appointment. I had a spare when I brought my jeep in and they said they would put it in my trunk. I was expecting them to just put it in there and that would have been perfectly fine. Not only did they put it back in it's spot they also put all of the attachments back on and closed the lid. I was so pleased with the whole process. Definitely will be going back.

I had a 9:30 am appointment fir which I arrived early. Service took more than two hours to rotate and balance my tires. No excuse for such poor service. I saw supervisors come in and comment on spots on the plexiglas as if spotless was what customers want most from a tire service center. Gee, how about service!

Scheduled an appointment for new rear tires, I waited less than an hour and the staff was extremely professional and polite. You could tell these guys don t make mistakes. Tires were a fair price, but they were extremely high quality and the warranty they come with is top shelf. Shout out to Mike

Absolute worst service center in town. Chronically under staffed, so you have to wait 20+ mins in person, or make half a dozen calls to get through over the phone. Had a blowout with Costco tires, was told a replacement would likely be in by Fri. I already had an appt for Sun, so that worked great. No tires Fri. Had to call Sun to hear there were no tires then, either. Got an appt for Tues. No tires Tues, last minute notice. Appt for Wed. No one's picked up after multiple attempts. If it weren't for good prices, generally good work, and good products, this would be a 1 Star.

Fair prices for tires and they come with "free rotations and flat repairs".However, the tire center's time management is truly terrible. What good are free flat repairs if you cannot get an appointment for multiple days, and when you set an appointment and show up on time, you must wait for multiple hours for what should be a 15-minute fix.I cannot stand being asked to be on time for appointments while not having the same curtesy returned. I have regularly set appointments, shown up on time, and then told that I would have to wait multiple hours for the work to be completed. We are not talking about an engine overhaul... How can they be hours behind one hour after they open? The SLC Costco Tire Center needs to either figure out their scheduling or stop advertising the services as a benefit for buying their tires.

My visit today was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.I drove up to the Tire Center for a lug nut rotation; an employee told me to park in front of the third pay. I started to straighten my car and he told me I didn't need to because the rotation would take three minutes. He walks away. Two minutes later an employee comes out screaming at me to move my car. I told him his colleague told me to park here. I pointed at the employee, who stood there and did nothing. The second employee continued to berate and shout at me. I parked in front of the first bay, where he directed, and he screamed at me again to park along the side of the building. It was humiliating. He leaned through my driver side window and grabbed my steering wheel and rotated it because my wheels were not facing the right direction. I had no idea who this man was. His body was in my car, with me in the driver seat, and he was in control of my steering wheel. It was terrifying. This man clearly had anger management issues and no one did anything. The second employee walks away. Thirty seconds later, a third employee walks up to my car window and asks me to MOVE MY CAR because I was blocking his bay. Are you kidding me?I did speak to the third employee about what happened. He did not take me seriously at first, but he was listening and apologetic by the end.My advice to Costco Tire Center:1) Find a spot to do a lug nut rotation and stick to it. The tire center parking lot would work great. Don't have customers drive up to the bay / wall and block traffic.2) If you do not have space for a three minute lug nut rotation, do not even offer this service.3) Your employees don't communicate to each other. At all. This is why you have a 3.2 rating on Google. Work on communication. Do a team building exercise. I don't care what you do to fix it, but the lack of communication is why you have terrible service.Needless to say, I won't be coming here again. I'd rather pay a level headed mechanic than deal with the folks at Costco Tire Center.

Worst experience. Everything.-2hr installation time (told to be 1hr);-got four old tires with shelf life over one year;-pressure indicator was on right after the installation and they did not solve this after revisit;-they torque your bolts in a circular direction rather than following the start pattern.
