Clark s Auto went above and beyond to get us back on the road! When our recently purchased Subaru Outback had unexpected issues Clark s not only got us back on the road but took on a lot of the communication with insurance and the dealer we d purchased the car from. I primarily worked with Devon and Jessie. They were very communicative and took extra care to make a very frustrating situation as easy as possible. They quoted us a fair price and kept us informed throughout the entire process.I d gladly return to them for routine maintenance and other repairs in the future. Thanks again to the Clark s crew

Clarks' Auto is amazing! I first came here for an emissions inspection which was attended to quickly and thoroughly. After determining it was time for new tires they gave me an amazing price and worked with my schedule to get them installed. Unfortunately one of my hubcaps came off while I was driving the following day, but when I called the manager/GM Jessy he worked to immediately resolve it! He ordered a new hub cap right away and replaced it at no charge while also checking on my fluids and making sure everything looked top notch. I will always take my Subaru here because I know it will be properly taken care of. Cannot recommend enough!

This place is the best. They are fast and honest. I first went to get my oil changed about a month ago and then came back for other services because I was so impressed. I definitely trust them and know they won t try to upsell me or offer me something I don t need. Jesse at the front will make you feel like family. 10/10 if I could give 6 stars I would.

Randomly called Clark's for a repair to my van and learned they only work on Subarus which is great because I have a Subaru! I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and to find a coolant leak that I wasn't able to find. They had the oil changed and a full diagnostic of all my issues. I then got a very detailed quote that I went over with Devon. They fixed all my coolant leaks and all other issues with a quick turnaround time. Highly recommend!

I really wanted to like Clark s based on the reviews and it being a local shop. I don t want to leave a bad review but after my two experiences, both left me questioning the quality of work done and the actually cost for repairs which were astronomical for someone who s in school and works in nonprofit. My first experience was 2 1/2 years ago when I took my 2010 impreza in to check for an oil leak. I was told the head gasket needed to be replaced. It took them 3 weeks to do when I was told it would be one. Communication was spotty and I had to call in to get updates. When I picked up the car they claimed they had driven it around to test it out but I knew they hadn t because the mileage hadn t changed from when I dropped it off. They charged me $5600 for the repair and said it was good for another 100k miles. When I left I could feel the car struggling to pick up speed and it felt like it was about to stall. I took it back and they said some valve needed cleaning and the car finally felt fine.Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, my car had a sudden and large oil leak and my car overheated. Luckily my car had broken down close to Clark s and I figured since they did the head gasket before, perhaps it was related. I took it on a Thursday, they said I d have to leave the car over the weekend and that they might be able to look at it on Monday. I call the following Tuesday when I didn t hear anything and they don t have a price. I get an invoice on Wednesday and the total for repair is $9400 for a failed radiator system and engine block replacement. I declined the services and figured I needed to buy another car. I sold my 2010 Impreza to a Subaru shop in Spanish Fork and they said that the repairs never should have cost $9400 and are looking into the actual damage of the car. I m super disappointed because I didn t want to give up my car and have already bought another one. Now knowing that I might ve been able to keep my car after all of this for far less money just adds salt to the wound.

What do you look for in a mechanic? If you want someone that: knows your car, communicates well, efficient, and kind, then this is the place for Subarus. Jocelyn and Kyle were both very nice.

Clark s is a great local business and I only wish they could do work on my Ford! I bring my wife s Subaru here for big issues and they are quick to get me in, identify the problem, provide options and upfront pricing (asking before work starts), and aren t pushy. Front desk is always nice and communicates well. They also have some killer flowers every spring which are nice to walk by as a neighbor!

"After thoroughly reviewing both positive and negative feedback, I decided to give this place a chance. Despite a few negative reviews, the overwhelming majority of positive feedback convinced me to visit, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. I personally didn't encounter any of the issues mentioned in those negative reviews. For anyone seeking an honest repair shop, look no further this is the place for you. While perfection may be elusive, this shop consistently demonstrates a commitment to its community. I'm grateful to Clarks Auto for their exceptional service. Special thanks to Jessy at the front desk, whose assistance got me back on the road swiftly. Another shop quoted me $3200 for repairs, but Clarks Auto completed the job for just $1800."

Seriously do not go anywhere ELSE. EVER. I freaked out because I hit a pothole and the damage was SEVERE, so I showed my trusty car-friend their estimate and he determined everything was legit. He highly recommended them for any Subaru owner.Jodi was amazing and deserves a raise. She was honest, informed, communicative, understanding, kind, and efficient. Truly puts a great face to the company and I m mostly coming back because she made the process way less of a headache.Clark s keeps you informed as the process goes along, and they maintain patience while they work with you and your insurance.Work was done quickly and professionally. Can t recommend enough!

THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! I won t be taking my Subaru anywhere else. The crew is kind and very knowledgeable about their work. They went above and beyond to make sure my Crosstrek was riding smooth after I was terrified I bought a lemon. Also not a mechanic that will up-charge you - great work for a great price!!

Wow! I can't say enough good things about this business. I first took my car in for a maintenance check up, and although there is a lot to fix, everyone at the shop has been so kind and helpful. They respectfully explain things to me, without belittling me. They listen to my concerns and thoroughly understand them. They provided open and honest suggestions. They are very understanding with my finances and respect my timeline on having repairs and maintenance. They have helped me with temporary fixes until I am able for the official fix. And so much more! I am a Subaru lover and so pleased that I live close to this place for their service, advice, and care. A big thank you to Clark's Auto!Services: Transmission, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance, Battery

Clark's Auto is hands down is one of the best auto repair shops I have been to. Everyone there was super friendly, very informative, did a thorough inspection of my car, and helped me find the fix to my car in a timely manner. I originally came in thinking my alternator was out but after further inspection by the team it turned out to be a lot more, some of which was a large safety concern. The team at Clark's broke down the cost with an explanation behind each repair in easy way to understand and made me feel confident in getting the repairs done. I've lived down the street from Clark's most of my life and it's amazing to know that there is still shops out there willing to lend a helping hand to their neighbors in need. I feel blessed having such a caring and compassionate shop down the street. I will definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends.Service: Engine repair

Clark's Auto was extremely helpful. My daughters car had some issues. I had it towed to Clark's and they quickly diagnosed to issues, and quickly got back to me with a quote. We decided to cut our losses on her vehicle, and they gave us a very fair offer on her car. Highly recommend Clark's! Great communication and fair prices.

Gonna start off and say do not ever consider buying a car from these guys, it will be one of the worst financial decisions you have ever made. I bought a Subaru Forester XT from them about a year and half ago with about 80k on it and the car worked fine for about 8 months until the car stopped starting I took it in a few times and no issues were to be found. After a few more months experiencing these issues I brought it back and was told the battery needed to be replaced, after the battery was replaced it started but more issues popped up, my AT oil temp light started flashing along with every other light on my dashboard, brought it back and was told the starter needed to be replaced, did that yet all my dashboard lights remained on, so took it back again and they changed the transmission fluid which also didn t fix the problem of the dashboard lights remaining on. Finally they recommended to take it into the dealership to get the CVT transmission pump tested and found out the transmission solenoid, torque converter and cvt valve needed to be replaced. Not to mention the dealership has also brought to my attention all the bushings on the car are cracked and need to be replaced. Oh and the car still has issues starting, needs to be jump started constantly. I have only owned this car for over a year and has needed over $8,000 in repairs. I am leaving 1 star because the guys at clarkes have waived some small charges for mehere and there As they should have. Yet my experience with the car I brought from them, which I will add they told me was in GREAT condition has been a experience of pure disappointment. Worst vehicle I have ever owned by a long shot.Services: Transmission, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Battery, Oil change

Let me tell you. My car broke down in Price about a week ago. I was on my way to seeing family and was not anticipating having to replace my head gasket. I drove back from SLC to Price to pick up the car about a week ago, and today the car was still experiencing issues. Clark's did a thorough inspection on the vehicle and relayed the issues to my Price mechanic. I just got a call from the Service Manager at Clark's (Kyle) and he said they will not charge me for the inspection after he heard what a nightmare this car situation has been. I'm crying tears of joy! This act of kindness really went a long way and I just wanted to send a sincere thank you. Go to Clark's!

I ve been looking for a good Subaru Auto Shop for a while. I know nothing about cars and was having issues with my Subaru. The mechanics at this shop were amazing when I was trying to explain all of the issues I was having. They didn t make me feel stupid and they made sure to test everything. My car came out of the shop working better than it has since I first bought it. I highly recommend this shop.

Excellent shop specializing in Subarus. They were able to get my car in, diagnose it, and get it back to me in a day for a big job. Also very honest with what work needs done and when; I'll definitely be coming back.

I came into Clark's after another auto shop failed to diagnose a failing head gasket after it was brought in for two overheats. I talked with Jody and Shon for the communication, and they were awesome. They gave me time to process what repairs needed doing, talked about if it was worth it to do the repair, and addressed all of my concerns and questions. I came back again a few weeks later for an air sensor issue, and the amount of legwork they did in order to avoid me sending upwards of $3K was amazing. I am really impressed by the customer service, and the mechanical work that my car has had done here.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My Subaru Legacy needed some TLC pretty bad and we decided to drop it off before a trip over the thanksgiving weekend. They usually do appointments only but they made an exception that one time for us considering our situation and let us know to make sure to make an appointment next time :) Very friendly staff and was very communicative about what they were doing to my legacy and constantly kept us in the loop over our trip. They definitely went above and beyond for us and I was very very grateful!! Will definitely be bringing my car back to then when needed!!Services: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Side view mirror repair, Air conditioning, Brake service & repair, Oil change

We were looking for a good mechanic and not the dealership experience. The service advisor was very friendly and even walked me into the bay to show me how difficult it was to try to remove a spark plug from a Subaru. After receiving a quote and looking at 2 min YouTube video of how easy it is to remove a spark plug from a Subaru, I realized I was getting the same experience that I get at dealerships. $650 for a tuneup that has about $100 in parts and an hour and a half of labor. Hopefully I can find a good Subaru mechanic that I actually can talk to the guy that s working on my car.

I was excited to support a local business and with good reviews I thought I could trust them. I was overcharged an insane amount. Parts and Labor were way above even a dealership. This shop definitely takes advantage of people. I will not be returning. I will also be submitting a negative review to the BBB.

Update/edit: My car actually did overheat again on the drive back to LA. Turns out my car has a faulty head gasket. Took my local mechanic a few days to figure out the issue as it was an on and off thing. My car is 13 years old with a lot of rust, so I m sure it wasn t this shop s fault, but they also didn t remember to leave the old parts with me and I was so relieved to have my car back I forgot to remind them. Soo we ll never know. For reference, they charged me $175 diagnose fee and to replace water pump, hoses, and timing belt was $1,799. They seemed honest enough. I will say my local mechanic does diagnose for free and is just so honest and amazing. Not dealership-y at all. Always ask your mechanic to keep your old parts so you can look at them.Original review: I had a good experience at this auto shop. Had a nightmare scenario of my car overheating after a road trip out to salt lake and needing to find a mechanic during a holiday week to fix my car before driving back home. They were not only able to take me in on short notice, but diagnosed the problem correctly and fixed it within 3 days. Their thorough diagnosis found other important maintenance needed to be done on my car (2010 Subaru forester, 150k), but never pressured me to do it there and thoroughly explained their findings and why I should get it looked at when back home. Jodi at the front has a tough job too and she was extremely helpful and made a very stressful situation tolerable, maybe even pleasant. Thank you guys. Based on my experience, I d certainly recommend them.

The mechanics are very knowledgeable about Subarus and the work is solid. The other side of this coin is the prices are high (e.g., I was charged 3x as much for labor to flush brake fluid relative to my regular mechanic, Mike Palmer). I imagine prices are similar to the dealership (Although I honestly never get work done at the dealership either assuming it is too expensive ). I would recommend Clark's; They are great mechanics. But, maybe save it for more particular jobs and take your routine maintenance elsewhere.
