I have known Tony for 20 years..... I purchased my first BMW 328i and a friend said you need a good HONEST mechanic (go see Tony) if you are going to own nicer vehicles. This statement has proven true over the course of 20 years. I have taken over 16 vehicles to Tony and his shop for regular maintenance , including a Bentley that was severely damaged by a mouse eating my engine electrical wiring. He rebuilt the car over 4 months, dealt with my difficult insurance adjuster, and made sure the price wasn't too high. Literally saving the car!!!Tony isn't just my mechanic he's a friend & someone that I trust with my first BMW or my Ferrari. I've included a few cars I've taken to Tony over the years just to demonstrate how much I trust him and his work...

Tony treated us like garbage. Couldn t even print out a diagnostic report for us (which we paid for) And told us if we want it to be printed out that we go to the dealer and pay more there. And when we said if we can write what we need for the car he told us I don t care . No way to treat your customers. No room for flexibility and made us feel like we were annoying him. Too much attitude from this place. Highly suggest staying away.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We were fooled by the good reviews. Tony treated us horribly and had an attitude. Worst place to visit. He was just trying to make a quick buck out of us, and limited our options. I asked him for details about the repair and he gave me an attitude and wasn t answering my questions, and when I asked for a detailed report, he gave me nothing and was very rude. He felt as if I was doubting his abilities . He deserves negative stars but I don t have the option to. Stay AWAY.

Known Tony for over 20 years, he introduced me to my first BMW. Since then Porsche's and beyond. Tony has an very intuitive sense for the older and newer exotic cars.Very reasonable pricing structure and a man of his word. I bought a Mercedes-Benz from Tony recently. I had never met Tony or been to his lot or shop before. I happened to come across his information and came away extremely impressed! Most importantly Tony is honest. I very much appreciate Tony s honesty in how he works with his customers and runs his business. Second Tony knows his cars. He knows what he is buying and selling to his customers. He prices them fairly and honestly. My wife and I very much appreciated being able to buy a car knowing he knows the quality of each car and where they should be priced. Third Tony cares. He took time to talk with my wife and I through the purchasing process and explain all he knew about the car and showed us his other vehicles. I could tell Tony cares about what he does because of his great knowledge about the vehicles and the cleanliness. Not just the cleanliness of the vehicles he has, but the cleanliness of his lot and shop. He takes great care to offer quality. Tony and his crew are phenomenal! We were referred by a neighbor and could not be more satisfied. Our Mercedes needed substantial work, and Tony went out of his way to minimize the cost while still doing an absolutely incredible job. He even called me a week later to check in to see how things were going! We will definitely be going back to him, and referring others as well. Tony did not help at all with my questions. He had a horrible attitude when I was trying to figure out the best options for my car. Beware from his attitude and unwillingness to help.

Tony is awesome. We have been taking our cars there for three years. He always gets us in quick, calls us with updates, and gets it back to us fast. Upfront and Honest and very reasonably priced. Highly Recommend Tony and Ararat Automotive.

I met Tony through KSL Cars because he had a sweet 2020 BMW M4 Competition for sale. I traded-in my beloved 2016 BMW i8 as part of the deal. Good post-sales support: A break-in maintenance appeared right after purchasing the car. Tony took care of it with no questions asked so the car is ready for my use. I have an 2007 Audi A4 that I had consistently serviced at the Audi dealership for the first 8 years that I owned the car. I was introduced to Tony and his team at Ararat Automotive a couple years ago and their level of customer service, professionalism and quality of work is so much better than the Audi dealership and at a reasonable price. They are friendly and very thorough and honest when diagnosing the problem(s) and giving me the best options. I've referred several friends to Aratat Automotive and will be a life long customer of theirs as long I'm in Utah.

Tony, Skylar and everyone else on this team are a pleasure to work with. There are not many mechanics or car dealers that are as honest, hardworking and helpful as the team at Ararat. They are honest and will let you know the truth about your car with exceptional care and talent. No matter the make or brand of European car, they have done it all and are amazing at what they do. Highly recommended team.

I have been burned by the BMW dealership and don't trust other auto shops much with my car. I came here on the recommendation of a friend of Tony's. It was very much worth it. Tony was professional and kind. He was able to service my car last minute for great price. Trustworthy AND the extra mile; what else do you need in a mechanic?When I lived in Massachusetts it was NOT like this.Trust me Utah, you've got it good with Tony at Ararat. He answers his phone, he will stop what he is doing and explain everything to you. He has empathy (and personality) . He will try to find you parts elsewhere if it means getting you a better price.When he is done with your car he does the extra little things.At first you can't believe it; what's the catch?! Then as time goes on and Tony becomes a friend, you learn he is just that way. He has been around the business for over 30 years, he just gets it-I can honestly say that every friend I've sent his way has called me after and said good things and even thanked me.Ask yourself if that's typical for german/foreign car service shops in salt lake city....

I bought a 2016 Mercedes E350 4Matic from Tony. The car was in fantastic condition, cleaner than CPO cars at a few Mercedes dealerships I looked at. The price was very fair and the transaction was easy and quick. I highly recommend Ararat Auto and Tony to anyone looking for a clean European car!!

If you own a high end auto ...and dread the thought of visiting the dealership for repairs or maintenance ... make sure to see Tony at Ararat. He has an amazing breadth of knowledge / experience when it comes to working on exotics and/or luxury vehicles. He has saved me SO much $$$'s over the years, and I never have to wonder if I am being "sold" something that I don't need. Do yourself a favor... after you get the estimate from the dealer... visit Ararat (or save yourself some time... and just go there first).Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my Bentley Flying Spur to Tony at Ararat for some repairs that were estimated by Bentley dealer to cost me little over $8000 Tony managed to get the job done for $3000 and he did an amazing job. Ever since I've been taking all off my cars to Ararat for service and I couldn't be happier.

(from 2016) Things were not the best.
