Couldn t be more happy with the conversion on our ambulance! We were told to plan on a 3 to 4 weeks turn around time. They finished it in 2!! Quality work. Quality parts and a great price!

Randy and his crew did a fantastic job on our 2018 Nissan NV3500 4X4 conversion. We had them do some extras as well, and it looks amazing. Randy is honest and shoots it to you straight on what your getting and the cost. His office staff is very friendly and treated us well. I've read other posts on here saying these guys don't have time to look at minor repairs here and there, and so they give this place a low rating. I can see why these guys are so busy and can't take on minor " time zapper projects" is because they're so good at what they do with conversions, people are flocking to them here! They said they do about 30 or more in a month! These guys are great quality and I highly recommend them. We're looking forward to doing a front bumper with a winch next and I really look forward to more projects these guys can do for my friends and family! Go here first!

Stop deleting non-favorable reviews!! I took my car in for a what I thought would be a simple gear swap. I supplied the Richmond gears and long wheels studs. The gears/rearend has howled since day one and the studs weren t installed. When I asked about both the response I received was with a sh***y attitude and bit aggressive.I heard sometimes they do that regrading the rearend noise and claimed I never brought the wheels studs. It was THE SAME guy I handed them to a couple days prior. Not sure what was more disappointing the questionable workmanship or the lack of integrity and making things right.

Randy really knows his stuff, I lost my brakes and was stranded in SLC from my home in Colorado during the 4th of July holiday. He was able to understand the problem and repair it properly without delay. Now having said that you should understand that I have a highly modified 4X4 which needed a specialist, and Randy handled it without a problem.I would highly recommend Randy and his staff if you need serious 4x4 answers to your needs.Service: Auto brake repair

You wouldn t believe the customer service I received here, even if I explained it all to you! Wendy and Randy were phenomenal. I had my van shipped back to them from Nebraska and we must have spent collectively over two hours on the phone with all of my annoying questions. Seriously it s impossible to find a good customer service anymore nowadays. This was beyond exceptional. Thanks again to the both of you!

The crew here helped us built the ultimate conversion from our gently used desiel express van. They were helpful and the main part of the work was on time and as described. They've also been helpful after the work and we know we can call and get assistance and input on the road from Shane or Randy if we have a problem which has included a couple broken CV shafts.Sometimes they catch flack for being disorganized and yes they could do better. They are not always good and answering email. Also 2 years after I still don't have a full parts list. When you invest in something this custom it should be automatic that so it's easier to fix on the road. They've always looked it up when I called, but it would help everyone to have this in your packet when you drive out of the shop and I'm still waiting for that. These little things are the only reason I did not give them 5 stars. There's a little room for improvment but in the end I'd say their hands down the best conversation shop on the west coast. Thanks advanced.

Had them put on an Aluminess rack on my van and some heavy duty shocks. They also fixed the rubbing from the big tires I got for my van. They were great to work with and I would 100% use them again!

They got me what I wanted in a short notice, and they worked well with the amount of time they had. I worked with Randy. Had a 4x4 conversin on my 2013 Ford E350 with all Aluminess bumpers and extras. I also had them do a gear ratio change, and extra leaf springs. Not cheap but well worth it. If I did it again I would have had them put a new beefier transmission on it as well.

We recently had advanced 4x4 convert our Nissan NV to 4x4. I have been using it extensively in the snow and everything is working great! I had a couple concerns and Randy was able to address all of them. Our overall experience has been great!

Advanced four wheel converted my E150 van and did an amazing job! They were great to work with. They are very busy, if you want them to work on your vehicle. Get on their schedule as soon as you can.

Advanced Four Wheel Drive does quality builds and is ran by friendly folks. The price was reasonable for doing a 4x4 upgrade on an RV. Send them an email with your vehicle specs and what you would like to have done. They will provide you with an honest assessment and a quote if the build is possible.I contacted Randy and his group to upgrade a Leisure Travel Libero RV, which is based on a Chevy 3500 cutaway van chassis, to 4x4 with a 2" lift. Living 13 hours from Salt Lake, I was provided a quote and was told it would be 7 weeks till they could start. I made my plans, drove the RV down and met Randy on a Saturday afternoon. I was quoted 4 weeks to complete the task and I kept clear weekends 5 and 6 in case there were any problems. After 3 weeks, Randy contacted me to report it was ready. I flew out 2 weeks later to take delivery on a Friday afternoon. After a short test drive with Shayne, we found a minor flaw, he put it back on the lift, did a quick fix and a quick test drive later proved everything worked great. A 13 hour drive at speed limits of up to 80 mph through the mountain passes to Seattle proved the build was quality!Remember if you are bringing an RV or other equipment in to be upgraded or repaired, to give them a few weeks to do the job. Any major modification requires time to do it right. Thanks to Randy, Lisa, Shayne and his team for a great experience!

We had Advanced put 4 wheel drive on one of our Ford E350 cutaways that we use for Fedex delivery. We love it. Smooth and quiet. Shop was great to communicate with and everything was done on the schedule as they had agreed to. We traveled from Washington State for this job. Couldn't be happier. We'll do another one next year.

These guys were awesome. I took my f150 in there to get the rear differential rebuilt and they had it done within a day. Awesome prices and very helpful. Randy was really knowledgeable and very helpful. I'm fairly mechanically inclined but didn't dare work on gear work because of the tools required. Definitely recommend these guys! Fair prices, fast service, honest management!

I made an appointment (a week in advance) to have my differential repaired. The owner I believe his name is Randy told me he would be able to repair the vehicle that day if I left it for the appointment and dropped it off early in the morning . He got my VIN number for the vehicle and told me he would be ordering the ring and pinion for the differential. He said he was doing this so that there would be no delays in getting the vehicle repaired. I dropped it off at 830 am that morning of the designated appointment time. Randy promise me at the time I dropped off the vehicle he would give me a call in a couple of hours to confirm the repairs needed to be done on my vehicle after he test drove it. When I did not receive a call back from Randy I left a message with him to return my phone call for a disposition on the vehicle. The entire day went by and I heard nothing from Randy or any members of the shop so I stopped by the business at around 4 p.m., which was almost the close of business that day. Randy told me that he had not been able to get to my vehicle that day because he had quote "more important jobs to do" when I ask Randy if he had even gotten the chance to test drive the vehicle (as he had promised to do that morning) he said he had not done that either. Randy then told me if I didn't like it I can take my car somewhere else which I did! I got my car keys back from him and told him it would have been nice if he could have told me in the morning when I dropped it off that he would not have time to get to it that day because I had lost a day's work given that was my only vehicle to drive. He was extremely rude and condescending and told me he didn't know why customers took days off to have their cars repaired, what a jerk!

Took my 2007 Chevy Express 3500 Sportsmobile in for conversion to 4x4 the work looks fantastic. This will now allow me to travel and camp at more remote locations. I tested the system out several times and seems to be working great. This is one of only a few companies that will convert older vans and still offer a warranty.

Advanced Four Wheel Drive is the most professional, knowledgeable, and honest shop I have ever dealt with. They go above and beyond when it comes to backing their product and they are true to their word when they say they warranty their product and have provided me and my family truly hassle free van ownership. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop for their quality upgrades and even more for their OUTSTANDING costumer service. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I spent thousands getting a Nissan NV converted to a 4x4 with upgraded wheels and hubcaps. After driving the vehicle from Utah to Dallas, I noticed two caps were missing. I called, sent pictures and my address and was told I would get two replacements. Fast forward EIGHT months....after several unanswered calls and emails I finally just bought them myself. They said my caps weren t a priority and that they were having trouble getting them from the supplier due to covid. I was able to find them at SFX performance in Alvarado, TX in a 10 minute google search. Now I have rusted wheels from them being exposed to the elements which is incredibly frustrating. The sad part is that if they would just return a phone call, I wouldn t have gone through months of frustration. Randy, if you re seeing this - you hurt my feelings by completely ignoring me.Service: Tires

These guys are awesome. It's extremely difficult to find people who REALLY know what they're doing when it comes to 4 wheel drive vehicles. There are other companies that do this work, but I've never had anyone do the quality of work that Advanced Four Wheel Drive does. They are also honest and will shoot straight with you. Fair and honest pricing. They did a gear swap in my 2013 RAM 3500 truck, changing the gear ratio from 3:43 to 4:10 gears. I had an excellent experience with these guys.

I chose this business as a local solution for getting an Aluminess rack and ladder installed on my Ford Transit. The mixture of how they run their business together with Aluminess has LEFT ME VERY UNHAPPY. First off, when I called in to place my order (Jan 2021) the lady placing my order almost ended the call right after I declared my desire to order a rack and ladder from Aluminess. I had to stop her from hanging up and force her to write down all the details they would need to properly place the order with Aluminess. I was told at that moment that it would be a 6 to 8-week wait to get the rack and ladder from Aluminess. I appreciated the upfront and honest ETA. Aluminess didn't deliver the rack until the end of May at least one month longer than initially promised. When Advanced 4x4 started installing the rack on my van, they realized that Aluminess never delivered, let alone made, the ladder that was also ordered. I was told that I'd only have to wait another week to get the ladder installed, but now it's going to be at least 2 weeks for the ladder to be installed. When I picked up my van without the ladder, I noticed that the type of floor on the rack was incorrect. Advanced 4x4 forgot to relay that detail when ordering my rack. So now I need to wait another 5+ months to get the correct rack to be made, delivered, and installed. Overall, I AM NOT SATISFIED with the way my orders are taken and processed as well as how service is scheduled. These three aspects of business is what they do on a daily basis and I'm not sure why my situation is the anomaly when it seems like they normally have high ratings and reviews. I must be an anomaly and I hope you aren't. Aside from all of that, the rack looks good and looks to be installed correctly. So they have that going for them.

Spoke to Randy and explained the issue we were having with our Trailblazer He said that he could do the diagnostics for free it would probably be any easy fix around 250.00. Dropped the vehicle off and was told they would need it for a couple days max. Never heard back from them called numerous times, no one answered, after several days I finally got through to them. I was told by Randy that he needed to buy some parts that they were having a hard time trouble shooting it. I reminded him that I did not want to put a lot of money into the car it has almost 200,000 miles and we weren t planning on keeping it much longer. He said it would be around 300.00 I told him that was doable. Again never heard back from them, continued to call finally got an answer and was told my car was now at the dealer getting re-programed. Waited a day and started calling again, no answer. When I did get through to Randy I was told it was back for the dealer and still not fixed, that he didn t know what was wrong with it that it could take anywhere from 1-4 more hours of labor to figure out that. I told him - I don t know how much time you should spend on it, like I said its old and has almost 200,000 miles on it, I can t afford to spend a lot of money on it. He said that he had over 900.00 into it now and that he would only charge me 685.00. He said that he was able to get the auto 4WD to work but not the 4 high or 4 low. I have never dealt with a business that would continue to rack up fees without a single update on the progress or to get approval to continue racking up the price. 19 days later, 749.00 after taxes and I have a car that isn t fixed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I will be reporting this shop to the BBB.

I had a great experience with Randy and the team over at Advanced 4x4. I had a ton of questions and they had prompt answers. Overall I am extremely pleased with the performance of my 2019 Gmc van with a 2 inch lift and 4x conversion. The vehicle is an absolute beast in the snow. it is much more capable than my Toyota in snow conditions and most off-road terrain.

Randy and the crew are awesome people, and their four by four conversion will let you take your vehicle pretty much anywhere. I've climbed mountains in mine, driven through deserts, across Canada during winter, through swamps, and literally everything in between.

Highly recommend to avoid these guys for re-gearing especially on Toyota's. After many major issues. 1st them having to replace ring and pinion in less than 5k miles due to failure. Shortly after, ring gear bolts backed out and destroyed entire 3rd member. They installed an old rusty high mileage 3rd member. Changed out the gears but decided to leave in the original bearings when they should have done the job right by replacing them just like what I originally paid for on the first 3rd member. Shortly after, bearings failed. Being tired of all the issues with this place, Ended up paying another shop $1500 to properly build the rear end. And forgot to mention, front differential is leaking like crazy where front clam-shell bolts together. Going to be another costly expense to fix this.

I'm picking up my van conversion tomorrow-- 8/1/15 so can only report what's happened so far. The staff at AFWD have been patient and helpful--very busy and don't always respond to emails in seconds, but honestly I expect them in the shop, not on the key board. They completed the conversion in 2 weeks as promised, worked with me ALOT to pick out tires and wheels, and did some custom installation of the tow package. The price was very fair and a little less than the original quote. There wasn't a big sales job at the beginning, just a very knowledgeable guy, Randy, who walked me thought everything.

I had these guys repair a differential out of my 2007 4Runner and they did a great job at a fair price. He repaired it in a timely manner as well, I had it back the day he told me I would. The pinion seal ended up leaking on it but found it was a defective seal. i stopped in and they hurried and repaired it while I waited at no charge. I will have these guys do work for me in the future.

Toured the facility in March. Looking to add 4x4 to our E450. Randy showed us around. Questions I asked were answered and he added the ... why we do it like this. THAT is valuable info.!!! They maintain your Ford warranty, use top shelf dependable parts, ect..We are impressed with the company.

Was looking to build my "dream van" there are only 2 real shops to convert chevy vans to 4x4, since I am 5 hours from Salt Lake Advanced was the obvious choice...Until I read their reviews. I was worried by what I had read in a few posts. Never the less I rolled the dice and went there anyway. Randy could not have been more help. He set up delivery from the factory direct to his shop (saving me shipping and time). He explained exactly what they do to convert it and also talked about a 3" lift. I chose both. He told me he was back logged on work but since I was having it shipped would save me a spot now. Told me it would take about 4 to 6 weeks to complete once it arrived. Five weeks after delivery (and just in time for my trip to SLC) he called and said it was finished. It looks great and drives better than my other stock van of the same type. If I had any complaints at all it would be that I would have preferred a 2" lift the only options were a 1" and a 3". In retrospect the 3 is a bit much (for my wife) however 1" would have not been worth the cost since chevy is already 17" high stock. All in all great price great service and well on my way to completing my "dream van".

Called this place and talked to Randy described what I wanted done on my truck, we talked about 5 minutes on the phone he sounded rushed so I told him to just call me back with a estimate, he said no problem I'll call you back in a hour, and its been all day. So I'm glad his and the shops true colors emerged before I spent any money or time with this. Looks like the crap reviews on customer service are well earned and justified. I will just fix and upgrade the truck myself!
