This property is under construction in the lobby, breakfast area, HVAC systems, and entire second floor. We stayed Mar 29-31. Rm. 303However, management is making a concerted effort to keep the area s clean, safe, and comfortable. They are keeping the pool open up until the day they will begin work in that area. They arranged for breakfast to be served from a room in the main hallway and set up tables in the foyer for guests to eat.Our experience was not affected by the construction in any significant way.In addition, our housekeeper was kind and generous toward us, and always had a genuine smile on her face. The front desk accommodated our needs, answered questions and made helpful suggestions.Well done!

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.I'm a fairly loyal Marriott customer, but this place is sub-par at best. They are undergoing construction and "some amenities may not be available" translated into absolutely no amenities. I can understand needing to renovate, but if it's to this extent, please don't charge full price.I got there after a very long day of driving and was told I'd have to get to my room by going back outside. There was absolutely no way to get to the front desk during my stay if I needed anything without going outside. The person who checked me in had zero concern for welcoming me or being helpful so I wouldn't have felt comfortable asking for anything. He was also there in the morning when I returned my key and didn't even inquire how my stay was. Also, the construction banging went on way too late and started way too early for my taste - you have people traveling who need to rest at some point. Perhaps offer earplugs if you have to make so much noise that it's going to reach my room at the near end of the hall. The icing on the cake was one of the worst beds I've ever tried to sleep on. It's like someone put a few springs on a cardboard box.Skip this place.

We had a very unfortunate experience when our vehicle completely died and had to be towed all the way to Salt Lake to the dealer for service. Left stranded, we looked at any/all options to continue our journey westward. No rental cars in Richfield, no response from Uber, nothing. Your breakfast worker Kevin saw that we were in need and approached us. He began making calls (unprompted) to nearby businesses to try and find us a car. Again, nothing available. Kevin then did something unimaginable; he offered to drive us himself to St. George (where we had a rental car reserved). The drive was over 150 miles away and took more than 2-hours. This man is a SAINT! We got to know him better during the drive and came away very impressed with where he is at now in his life. Thank you, thank you, thank you Kevin for going way above-and-beyond in helping us.

After a long drive, we decided to stay here. I chose this hotel because I always use Marriott hotels, but it was below average. Employee's attitude is not good. The room also lacked supplies. It's disappointing that they were there not available entire second floor due to renovations, but the my rooms aren't ready yet. Also, the staff told me to come to the front desk to pick up any missing items and replace them yourself. The breakfast coffee was empty too, I told them it needed to be replaced but nothing changed. This is the worst service. I think it would be better to use other place.

I travel frequently for work and stay in Marriott hotels weekly but my experience at this location has been subpar.Checked in at around 11:30pm and immediately felt like I was checking into the inner city. I was handed a card first thing after walking in about not smoking, and no pets or receiving a $350 fine, that s obvious. Then you have to fill out vehicle information and sign a paper for reasons unknown. This is Richfield, Utah NOT a big city, I ve never had to do this at another Marriott even in larger cities like Salt Lake or the Bay.I asked for 2 bottles of water at check in (which have been complimentary at every other Marriott I ve stayed at due to my Bonvoy status) and was told they don t give out complimentary water at this location so it was charged to my room. The front desk wasn t exactly welcoming after a long drive to get here. The room smelled weird (like smoke), had dead flies in it, and the lobby was a mess. Other reviews over a month old have said the same thing about the lobby so you think it would be the first place to start the renovation. They should offer discounted rates until the renovations are done. I didn t even pay for my room, my company did ($163.98) and I feel like they got duped.I d suggest staying next door at the Hampton Inn and Suites which is what I ll be doing next time I m in town.

This hotel is in a good location, seems quiet. Upon walking in, the hotel looked fine and the gal at the desk was nice. We went up to our room just to check it out before we went to have dinner. The bath tub faucet was dripping and there was about 4 inches of water in the tub. The curtains were stained but otherwise felt fine (although this is probably the most run down Fairfield I have stayed in). We went to dinner and came back to unload and mentioned the bathtub situation to the same gal at the desk and she didn t seem surprised that it was an issue. She moved us to the room next door and the room seemed fine, but the hallways smell like sewage (this smell developed in the 40 minutes we were gone for dinner). Please also note that this hotel almost feels like a fun house (and that s not a compliment), the floors in the hallway and parts of the room are uneven, our door was manufactured wrong and the bottom is not flat so you can see into the hallway (the photo I posted doesn t do it justice). Thank goodness we are only here one night. Would stay again if I had to, but probably would avoid if I drive through here again. (Side note, the Taco Bell/KFC across the street is pretty bad, I would avoid it).

Came in at about 1:30 am. The hotel itself is pretty average. (although it s a bit outdated) For the price you pay it is NOT worth it! Save your sanity and stay at any other hotel in Richfield. Upon walking in, the front desk lady met us with a hostile attitude. I could feel her judging the hell out of us. Like lady we drove 958 miles today; We re tired and we want our room. First thing she said was no smoking aloud LIKE DUHHH DONT YOU THINK I KNOW THAT? Tell me? at what hotel can you smoke in anymore?!?!!! Tried to kill her with kindness but the lady was extremely unprofessional and rude. Very disappointed, I would except better service from Marriott.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean and the nice person at the front desk was very helpful, he even point us to a fantastic restaurant, Steve's, across the street that gives discounts if you're staying at the hotel

The front desk lady this Sunday evening was fantastic. She was the most friendly, kind, and helpful with local recommendations. She answered my questions, and I had no problems with her. She also exuded a warm, motherly demeanor. When I asked to extend my stay, she clearly listed a couple options on how I can do that and got it handled.

Nice hotel! Stopped here for the night while on my way back to Denver. The room felt nice and clean but a bit dated, still nice. Breakfast was good and filling, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt good. But just like any other Fairfield hotel, a bit dated. Overall, nice hotel if you are staying the night and trying to get somewhere.

We are from California and were traveling to our dad's house in Colorado to attend our sister's baby shower, who is stationed in Virginia (Navy). We arrived in Richfield and the Fairfield Inn Marriott due to unexpected car trouble. Upon checking in and a discussion of our unexpected stay, both Keri and Kim jumped to our rescue. They both gave us contacts to several auto mechanics within the City of Richfield. If it wasn't for them and their help our trip to visit family would not of happened. Our stay at the Fairfield Inn was really nice. The lobby and rooms were very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was good and plentiful. We will definitely be staying there again on our next trip to Colorado.Walkability: There are several good restaurants within walking distance of eachother.

i have been coming to this hotel for many years to visit family since it first opened. me and my family have had great experiences here. however my most recent stay was great until me and my family were woken up by a loud housekeeping lady on the third floor. she questioned why people were still asleep at 8 in the morning on a holiday weekend . but other than that the breakfast is always great, and the service is amazing 99% of the time.

Nice hotel, fair rate, clean. Would be 5 stars if the management was better at enforcing spa rules. Two kids in the spa kept doing cannon balls and splashing water all over the pool area/ being a general nuisance. Management came out to inspect but didn t do anything about the situation.

All the staff at this hotel is rude! The pool chemicals are so far off it faded my daughters brand new swim suit, both girls had a rash from chemicals as soon as they got back to room from pool when confronted staff did not care. When we checked in my daughter was told total with everything would be around $175.00. In the morning her bill was 209.00 and she was charged 230 on her cc bill. When this was brought to morning staff they were told there was nothing to be done. When the main manager called me back she was extremely rude. Told me we were faurds. If they went though there cameras they would find nothing wrong with my daughter swimming suit. I was told Thursday night the manager would call me in the morning. She did not return my call until monday.

OMG! This hotel (if you can call it that) is an absolute nightmare. The rooms were likely updated in the late nineties or never since built. The 36" television buffered half the time and wouldn't hold a channel. The parking lot was inadequate, and the hairdryer blew the lights in the room. There was no place to charge our cell phones, so we had to put them in the bathroom. The room smelled awful, and there was no circulation. The air conditioner was so loud it kept us up, so we had to turn it off and suffer from the smell and lack of circulation.I would have preferred to have slept in my car and gone to a truck stop for a morning shower had my wife not been with me. And worst of all, I took the heat from my wife since I picked the hotel from the Marriott app. With the $150.00 we spent on this place, I'm pretty sure we could have done better at a Motel 6 at half the price. Going forward, I won't rely on only Marriott-branded hotels.Rooms: Atrocious

I had a reservation for 2 nights booked. When I checked in, the person who checked me in only put me down for 1 night. So when I got back to my room for the second night, my key card wouldn't work. The lady at the front desk, when i went down to find out what happened, was really nice and fixed the problem right away. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I wish they would do better with lighting in the rooms. Having to turn on multiple lights is a pain.

Clean rooms and friendly service. The interior finish on the place is surprisingly good. Towels and sheets aren't luxury, but decent and fresh smelling. Everything was tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was ok, some items were gone after the first wave of folks getting an early start on the road east or west, but they were making more. Great place to stop between Denver and SoCal.

The staff was absolute "tops" at this Fairfield Inn. My daughter and I enjoyed chatting with the housekeeping as they worked. It felt like being home. Although the Jimmy Dean's sausage & egg biscuits got a little boring, there were other breakfast options and most guests don't stay long enough to get bored. I would have preferred scrambled eggs in a warmer and sausage or bacon in another warmer, as everything else was bread, bread, bread. So close to WalMart and a little drive takes you to the downtown of Richfield. Its located just off the freeway yet tucked into a little nook of town, it was quiet. A dog-friendly place without the feeling of being in a smelly, dog kennel. I loved all the dogs and meeting so many travelers headed to and from skiing trips, etc.

Pretty decent stay. Beds were pretty comfy & pillows too. The decor is dated, but well kept. There are several places to eat nearby, mostly fast food, but Steve's Steakhouse across the street was good and fast. There is also a Mexican restaurant across the street. Dog friendly, pretty good breakfast, the mini quiches were good, but very rich. They could use some hash browns or some kind of potato dish to round out all of the protein on offer. The yogurt bar with multiple toppings was nice. Unfortunately someone brought their dog down to breakfast. Someone said something to the staff about it, but since it was leashed they allowed it. I don't really agree with that policy; I ended up taking my food up to my room because I don't enjoy begging. The staff was efficient but I wouldn't call them particularly "extra" by any stretch. A good, solid choice to stop for the night.
