Josh is not only a great mechanic but a great and honest man. I had lights on my dash board. Took my Honda to him. He kept it for an hour & wasn't sure. Cleared the alerts and asked me to bring it back when they came back on. I did that, he not only fixed it but he explained everything to me. After he showed me the part and show me what was wrong with them. As a single woman I truly appreciated that. Stopped by today and he checked my transmission fluid for me. I'm to short to reach it. I will always go to Josh when I need assistance with my car. May even buy my next car from him. At least I'll know he can fix it for me. Thank Josh you're awesome!!

Normally going to get anything fixed on a car is a dreaded experience. But Austin and Josh make the experince almost pleasant! Long story short we had a bad alternator that took quite a bit more to fix than anticipated. Not only were they upfront about costs but then when the project took a turn for the worse, they didn't charge us for the unexpected extra time. They were great at keeping us updated on the progress, and really great to work with. I genuinely feel they are fair and as hard as it is to believe, they're honest in their work. I will be a returning customer and likely a life long customer, as well as recommend them to anyone I come across for mechanical needs.

Just had my timing belt and water pump replaced here and Josh did a great job. He checked everything that needed checking and my car is still running smoothly. He s got a very solid work ethic and didn t try to pull any up-charges on me. 6/5 if I could!

I cannot say enough good things about S & R Auto! I was able to get my truck to the shop and then they gave me a ride to my job. They assessed what I needed, called and gave me a very reasonable estimate and fixed the problem within a couple of hours. It is very obvious that they care about their customers. A friend of mine had some repairs done on her car, had a great experience as well, and suggested I go to them. I am so glad I took her advise. I highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely be going back!!

Josh went above and beyond to fix my generator. I needed it fixed within about a week and his supplier was out of stock for a needed part so he called and explained and then offered his generator for free if he couldn't get mine fixed in time. He then later stopped by my work where we were using it to check that it was still running well.He has also worked on our car a few times and I highly recommend him.

Awesome customer service!! My alignment was off big time and my regular mechanic doesn't do alignments (he's the top rated mechanic in Provo) and he recommended I go to S&R. So I went straight to S&R, because if he said they're good...then they've got to be great! S&R definatley didn't disappoint! I called late afternoon and they squeezed me in first thing in the morning! They were so nice, explained everything, gave me a good deal, and were SO sweet to my little boy who LOVES cars. He even revved up a motorcycle for him to listen to! I love finding local businesses like this - honest, personal, and great service!!

I'm a DIY guy, but my wife was 6 hours from home and taking care of her dying mother. Her car was making a strange noise. I thought that for sure it was the water pump failing. On the recommendation of a friend we called Josh and he was willing to work late to take care of her. He was very honest in diagnosing a simple and inexpensive repair when I had self-diagnosed a much more expensive problem over the phone to my wife. I SO appreciate when someone proves them self trustworthy, capable, and willing to make sacrifices when someone is really in a bind. Thank you so much Josh!! I wish I could promise you our repeat business but 6 hours is a bit to far to drive. Maybe this well deserved positive review will push a little extra work your way.

They quoted a $50 alignment to my wife over the phone, but ended up charging her $70. I also had them balance my tires and I specifically asked them not to rotate them since I take car of that maintenance myself. The rear tires had excessive wear due to the rear alignment being messed up (the main reason I brought it in in the first place). When I was replacing the brake pads a week later I noticed the non-worn tires that I had rotated myself to the front a week before having the alignment done, were back on the front of the car. Rotating your own tires in the driveway is a big hassle and takes a lot of time. When I took the car back in they talked down to me like I didn't know what I was taking about and refused to rotate the tires back how I had them before ever visiting their shop.I would never recommend this shop to anyone. STAY AS FAR AWAYA AS YOU CAN! They're liars that take advantage of people who don't know enough about cars to realize they're being taken advantage of.I can't describe how discussed I am with these lazy technicians. This is the kind of shop that gives mechanics a bad name.

My Jeep acted up a couple weeks ago and the shop I took it to had it for two days and had multiple people look at it. They couldn t figure it out or get the problem to duplicate. On my way from Montana to Arizona I stopped for the night with my grandma. We left for dinner and it started again right in front of the shop. Josh took 15 minutes with the Jeep and figured it out. He said he would do extra research and get back with me. He gave me his card and said to call anytime if I ran into problems. The next day we talked about the problem and sure enough, he did more research. I m traveling for a death in the family, having car trouble is never fun, but finding someone like josh to help, is amazing!! Go see him!!

Really great service; I was kept up to date on progress and always felt like an important customer. Josh is great and honest; I ve had him work on three cars for me and he always communicates exactly what is going on. I plan on coming here for a long while.

S&R Auto has been a lifesaver for me! Always finishing my repairs in a timely fashion and within budget. They excel at finding the most economical solution to repair my car . They can fix anything that goes wrong with a car and are friendly and professional during the process. S&R Auto is most reasonable on price...the best I have found. I never take my car anywhere else.

Absolutely Awesome customer service! Above and beyond the call of duty, These the most honest repair shop I have ever done business with. I am 19 years old and moved from California to go to college and these people took great care of me and my car! I wouldn't go anywhere else in the Provo but S & R

These guys are the most hard working, honest, helpful and professional guys I have ever met! They will bend over backwards to make sure their customer is taken care of! My experiences have been nothing but positive and I have used them multiple times. recommend to anyone!

The reasoning for the 5 stars are because of, loyalty, respect, trust, honesty, etc. The story begins with my car that I had for a year now, and I only drove it for 2 months before my engine ceased up on me and I had it in the shop majority of the time. There where problems, after problems, etc. But Josh and Rogelio gave there 100% effort and hearts to get what I wanted and telling the truth no matter bad or good, that's why I love working with these 2.

Very friendly and very quick. I was in and out for an oil change and emissions test in about 20 minutes. They are busy so make sure to call ahead and schedule an appointment. Oil change is about $30, but they had a Valpak coupon that took $10 off.

I went there for a simple oil change. My appt was for 12 noon. When I arrived nobody was in the office. Place seems very poorly ran. My oil change was supposed to be roughly 40$ and take approx 30 min. Mind you ALMOST 2 HOURS later I got my car back and they CHARGED ME 75$. I was irate. Never go here. Place is a joke!

completely ignored me. got there on time for a 2pm appt. transmission fluid and filter replacement and when i got there nobody was in the front office. waited for 5 minutes to see if anybody would show up and nobody came to the front office. went out to the shop and saw one of the technicians and i told him i'm here for a 2pm trans fluid replacement. he then spoke to the other tech. working under a truck that i'm here for my appt. and that was it. no acknowledgement or any thing. he didn't even say "be with you in a minute" or something. waited for another 10 minutes outside in the sun hoping to get a response from them. nope, no response. so i gather they are not interested in my business and left. when i drove off, the tech i spoke to just looked at me pulling out and then went back to whatever he is doing. this shop was recommended by larsen's auto repair in provo. not coming back here again for sure. 1 star is being generous i'd say.

My husband bought a used tire with really good thread for an unbeatable price. There's a sign on the door that if they are "closed", to give them a call.

No. There are way better places to get your car fixed. A bit more pricy but it's always better to get good service for a little more cash than to get a crappy fix and a lying mechanic. Not ever going back. 0/10.

This is the best shop I trust whit my cars they are fair on price n they do I really good job I done my safetys n emissions whit them also replace my clutch n timing belt for fair price the owner of the shop n tech both guys a really hard workers plus they do have a good price on tires better than others places to me ill recomen this shop to anyone who wants to get a good repair for a fair price

Absolutely a bunch of incompetent people run this place. Customer service was a joke! I was also quoted 225 for repairs and was billed almost 600$ with out any permission on my behalf. Avoid them like the plague!
