Regularly visit to get my oil changed and other maintenance done. Rod is an honest owner and manager with fair prices and quality service.My roommate has had some serious car trouble leaking oil and needing major repairs. Cougar tire has been easy to work with and willing to negotiate on some of the expensive repairs needed. Overall great experience

I had an amazing experience with the owner, Rod, and his staff. We have a company truck that wouldn't start. We were pretty sure it was the alternator. I needed a mechanic that could come to me and scheduled an appointment with them by accident, because they don't usually provide a service to come to you. The owner called to confirm my appointment and I explained my mistake. He asked if I had found someone yet and I hadn't. He told me he would order the part and because I was pretty close to their location, he would send someone out to me SAME DAY! I got text updates throughout the process of when the technician would arrive, when the alternator was replaced, and when the technician was charging the battery. Before they came out, I was sent an estimate to my phone that I accepted before them starting work. They did exactly what they said they would do, communicated often, gave me a super fair price and didn't even charge me to come out to my location, and paying was a breeze with a link sent directly to my phone. I will definitely be using them again and have already told a bunch of people about them. One of the owners of the company I work for arrived at the office when the technician was here working on the truck and said that he was very professional and doing a great job. He said he will definitely use them again as well! They didn't have to do any of the things they did but went above and beyond and got me out of a tight spot. Thanks again, Rod and staff!

Cougar tire is a great place. i came in from out-of-town, with a "pulsing" in my brakes. i call late in the evening and left a message. i received a return call at 8 AM the next morning. i took my car to the shop, the staff put it on a lift, checked the car, pointed out what was causing the pulsing, told me i did not have a safety issue, rotated a front tire for a back tire, and i was finished in 20 minutes. Cougar Tire didn't charge me. I asked to have a ticket written up so i could pay, but no. i could not be more pleased with the professionalism and honesty of Cougar Tire.

Rod and the rest of the staff took extremely good care of me, I had a flat that unfortunately couldn't be patched. They tried absolutely everything going above and beyond. And after the patch still didn't take because the hole was too big they put my spare on for me free of charge. Their prices were very reasonable and I could tell they were focused on customer experience. Don't take your car anywhere else!

I'll try to keep this review short, but It might take some words to adequately describe the positive experience I had at Cougar Tire & Auto. First of all I was greeted by amazing staff who went way out of their way to help me fix my tires and figure out what in the world was going on with my vehicle.Beyond that they communicated with me, charged me as little as possible and helped me save money in numerous ways.I was only passing through the area and it was a great luck to be able to happen come to this auto store for my repairs.I highly recommend! 5 stars all the way!

I had unique circumstances with my car issues and they were willing to do a repair they don't normally do. I really appreciated their help, wonderful service and very prompt! I tend to be cautious of auto shop workers but I felt like I could really trust them.

I am a first time customer in SLC. I scheduled my appointment for brake pad replacement online and were willing to come to me! They showed up at the appointed time, quickly did the work, and the cost was half what my dealership would have charged me. Fabi�n was a friendly and knowledgeable technician, and Rod was so helpful in completing the process. I will use their service again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! We drove into town from Colorado and had a weird braking issue that needed to be checked right away. We drove our Tahoe to this shop to see if they could take a look at it and they amazingly squeezed us in right away. He could see we were in a pickle and he rose to the challenge. They inspected the vehicle and got us back on the road with peace of mind while not charging us a dime! That s what I call above and beyond. Amazing customer service with a lot of heart. Thank you to this team!

Cougar auto has their pros and cons but I have been very happy with the outcome of the work they have done. They are a little pricier and some things have had to go back to fix, but they are insanely quick and their customer service is by far the best I ve dealt with. Worth it just for that!I also recently sold my car they worked on and their warranty transferred to the next owner, made the sale even easier!

I came into Cougar Tire to get the break pad my husband s car replaced and everyone was amazing! They took a look at the break pads and explained what they saw and how they were going to fix it for me and they kept me updated on the progress! Great customer service and everyone is so nice!

Having a car break down is incredibly stressful. When my car broke down, Cougar Tire & Auto had it fixed within 24 hours-which saved me hundreds in Uber and rental car costs. I was able to have my car towed there in the middle of the night and by morning my car was being worked on. They were thorough and so easy to work with. I would recommend them to everyone.

We had a bad water pump on our 99 suburban and it was 4th of July weekend in Provo. After calling 3 other mechanics (who were all too busy or didn't answer) we found cougar tires. They were able to quickly find the part and install it same day. This was amazing because the other mechanics couldn't get to it until the middle of next week. On top of all that, cougar tires prices were less than the quote that we got from the other longstanding mechanic in the area. The manager was honest and prompt and the workers were great. I live 3 states away and Cougar Tire was great to deal with when the transmission in my daughter's car destroyed itself. They sourced several replacement options, got the one we decided on ordered and installed in a very reasonable amount of time. My experience with this business was fantastic! Staff is honest, upfront, and extremely kind. My car had an ongoing issue that was difficult to diagnose, and while it took a few tries to get to the root of the problem and repair it, we eventually got there and everything is back to normal. Their pricing is fair for the work they do and their turnaround time is discussed before and and super fast. I was listened to and taken care of. I have been going to Cougar Tire and Auto for a few years now. The owner is consistently friendly, professional and most of all honest. They truly care about their customers and doing a great job. They have stood behind every one of their repairs for me.It's great to have a partnership with businesses like this that I can trust. Rod with Cougar tire and auto is easily the most honest, and quality mechanic I ve had the pleasure of working with. I cannot recommend using this shop more! I will be coming back for anything I need. Rod is saving lives out here

Was the only shop that would look me in the eye when they spoke. Went above and beyond in patching a tire they said wouldn t hold (which didn t). Great service, and they are very fast.

Update: Major kudos to Rod and his team at Cougar Tire for reaching out to me and wanting to ensure my satisfaction. After going back to receive inspection services (free of charge), I can say that I ve never had a business work harder to elevate my customer experience. It sounds cliche, but Cougar Tire truly went above and beyond. I look forward to returning for future business and plan on recommending this shop to my friends and family in Utah County!Original Review: I had a great experience here previously a tire alignment service, which they happily price-matched. I later returned for an oil change service, which their website says (on at least three separate webpages) comes with a complementary 21-point vehicle inspection. I called beforehand and made an appointment, confirming with the employee on the phone that a vehicle inspection would come with the oil change service. However, upon the completion of the oil change, I was informed that the well-advertised inspection no longer comes with the oil change service. Sensing my dissatisfaction, they were kind enough to check the tires and brakes but it was still disappointing since that was the reason I went there and not somewhere cheaper.

Brakes started making a squealing and grinding noise. Looked online and called around, and Cougar Tire quoted me 200-300 below somewhere like Jiffy Lube. I showed up around 3:40, and they had it done for me in under two hours. Also very nice and willing to give you a ride somewhere if you need it!Will be back!

I cannot give this place a better review! They did everything possible to help me with my car and even took a part that I had bought from somewhere else and used it to help me out. They gave me such a good deal. I think a lot of places take advantage of younger people and try and charge them more, but they looked out for me and help me find every option for the best deal for everything. It is a great place! My boyfriend loved it too ! Rob helped us the whole time and looked out for us! Thank you:)
