Conor and Scott are the best. We are repeat customers and have had multiple pre-purchase inspections done here for our diesel trucks and everything they told us with the inspection has proved to be 100% accurate. They are good, honest guys and do a super thorough job. We are about to bring another vehicle to them this week. Couldn t recommend them more.

Outstanding, Honest and Dependable service! I've been bringing my vehicles here for the past 13 years. Scott, the owner has made this local business a shop that you can get your vehicle concerns address and for a price thats fair and wotk thats guaranteed. Although COVID has effected so many businesses S & J Automotive and Diesel has worked so hatrd to keep its doors open and to keep their new and long time customers coming back for the service that can not be beat. Thanks for being a great local Utah business.

Honestly, just sad how unprofessional the process has been for our vehicle. I NEVER write reviews but I want to save you the pain and hassle of bringing a vehicle here. The car has needed an engine replacement, and been there for since May and they STILL HAVEN'T put the new engine in. This is not an impossible project. It just shows a lack of care and professionalism to customers. Other cars were coming and going and they just didn t care about ours. They have been lacking in communication and every time we drive by the truck hasn t moved an inch as if they forgot about it or just don t care. We have called multiple times and they say they get working on and and we are met with empty promises. Again, I would be fine if it was a month or so and keep good communication. But this has been a horrible and unprofessional experience.

I brought my new-to-me 1 ton diesel here for an inspection prior to towing a very large fifth wheel for the first time. I worked with William, and he was very friendly and easy to talk to. I had a few things I requested they diagnose in addition to a general road-trip inspection. They ended up quoting me about $4k-$5k for a list of services including new brake rotors and pads, and the price varied depending on the type of brakes I chose. They also told me the things I wanted fixed were probably just a computer malfunction and I would have to take it to the dealer. The price seemed high, and I did some parts pricing on my own, and found that their quote for parts was overall about $1000-$1500 more than I could purchase the parts for myself. I chose to shop around for these services, and every quote I got came in a few thousand under S&J Auto s.I understand they may have charged me less on the final price, but it was not something I was willing to risk.I picked up my truck and paid for just the diagnostic, and took it to the dealership service center, which saved me roughly $3000.

I have a 1997 7.3 and I knew it was in need of some work to keep it going. It is our vacation mobile and I needed to make sure the truck was solid so I could confidently pull my new trailer long distances. I also needed some welding on the bed edges from a sleeper on the back over the years. Scott and Conner went through the entire truck and identified upgrades and replacements to be done. Scott provided his recommendations and was spot on with what was needed! The turbo, brakes, and many more repairs were done. I picked it up yesterday and it drove like a new truck! The welding work was top notch and he even noticed some rust and took care of that. I love that the shop is small and Scott gets 'hands on' with the work. He's always quick to respond when I had questions and very professional with his quoting and upgrades. The personalized service is what takes this shop over the top! When I picked up the truck, I got a personalized walk through of all the work done and was able to ask questions and understand the work and how it improved my truck. We have 6 older cars, thus, we have need of a mechanic quite often. I m so glad to have found S&J auto. They have treated me like family since the first visit. I can t say enough good about them. At one visit I asked what else I could have done on one of the vehicles and Scott said something like I m not going to fix something if it isn t broken. They are so honest and fair priced. On my last visit they changed out a dead running light on the car I came to pick up the car in for repairs for no charge. I highly recommend them!

Scott & his team are trustworthy dependable and their work is second to none. You can spend a lifetime looking for an honest and skilled mechanic. That is what I have found with Scott at S&J Diesel. Fair pricing, dependable work and reliable honest diagnostics are hard to come by now days, but that is exactly what I expect and receive from Scott and the S&J team. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Scott and his team were so professional, kind, and understanding. Being a woman going into a place that is not my favorite based on past experiences was something I was not looking forward to. However, coming here, I was not taken advantage of and he was completely open and honest about everything.I was going to buy a truck from a dealer down the street and took it to him for a quick look over/run down to make sure it was in good shape and didn't have any major issues. THANK GOODNESS I DID!!! There were so many issues and things that needed to be done that we didn't know.Thanks to Scott he saved us from buying a lemon Diesel truck and has gained a customer for life! We will be taking all the trucks we are looking to buy to him as well as my extended family.Honest, fair priced, and knows his stuff!! I recently took my restored 1970 Ford Bronco to S & J Automotive for issues I was having with my gas tank and front end. I was recommended to Scott of S & J Automotive for his expertise with classic cars. He looked at my vehicle and assessed the problems very quickly which gave me confidence in his ability to resolve the issues. The vehicle is running great now and I have the utmost confidence in taking my Bronco or other vehicles I have for future assessments and repairs. I'm new to town, and needed to find a mechanic to take care of some cooling system issues on my truck. I got referred to Scott at S&J Auto. I'm glad I did! Turnaround time was quick, Scott (and others) were responsive and customer-oriented. And most importantly, the issue is resolved.I think I have found my mechanic!

Over the past several years, I have bounced around from mechanic to mechanic based upon referrals from family & friends with all kinds of various results. Finally landing with S&J the last couple of years has been the best decision I have made to service & repair my diesel pickup. They have been upfront, honest, timely and fairly priced. So refreshing. My family has been coming here for close to a decade for all of our repair needs. From a clutch replacement and transmission fix in my daily driver, to timing belts, chasing a check engine light, etc. Every single time has been an excellent visit, and the issue was fixed. Scott knows what he's doing, and even educated me on what had happened and how he fixed it. Love this shop!

I was having issues with my Infiniti FX35 not starting. I called and they were able to squeeze me in the same day. Scott took the time to really diagnose the hidden problem and gave me a plan of action. The entire staff was very friendly and they were very fair with their prices. I loved this shop!

I met Scott 11 years ago when I first moved here - on my way to work and my check engine light came on. I didn't know a single person, and saw Scott's Shop on my way to work. I pulled in, and Scott has been taken care of my truck ever since. My truck has 240k miles on it and Scott keeps it working like brand new! He's amazing and fair...

Hello to everyone who looks at the reviews I know I have a great following most of my customers have diesel trucks and when towing heavy loads we will install the products that will uphold the payload that you talk about when you have never owned a diesel truck for towing be careful with what parts are decided to install make sure you know what to ask for before you dog on this company and want to do the cheapest job possible I will refuse to work on your truck do to the fact of quality and safety of your travels keeping the state as safe as possible when on the freeway pulling a heavy load if you want cheap please let us know upfront before we waste our time looking for the best product to suit your needs thank you for your business always Scott Thompson

My car needed some serious help.. it constantly breaks down and I hadn't found any mechanics I liked so far. I tried S & J out and loved it! They were very friendly, and knew what they were doing. They always returned my calls, kept me informed, and did an excellent job!

Got my 2004 Subaru WRX wagon's timing belt done here and I am more than happy with the work they did. The guys here at S&J Auto were awesome, honest and great at what they do. My dad always takes his camry here to get an oil change and the occasional tune up and loves the great customer service they provide each and every time. Me and my family have relied on S & J for years now and will continue coming here for years to come.

Got a buddy who works here. When I got my truck maintenance done here, my truck has since sounded happy and healthy. Also I've noticed that I am getting a higher mpg than previously. Highly recommend going here, especially for diesels!

Scott and his team were fantastic. Son tried doing some clutch repairs on his own, didn't get it working. These guys finished fixing and were so VERY reasonable!My new, favorite mechanic in town

I was in a pretty bad car accident a few months ago, but really loved my car. I've had the same car for more than 10 years, put a lot of money and love into it, and didn't want to get rid of it. The other shops that I went to refused to fix it, saying that it was totaled. I came here and they were very friendly and fixed it fast! Thanks for taking a chance!

I love going to S&J Auto to get my car's maintenance because these guys are good and reliable. It can get tricky and even pricey when it comes to foreign cars but these guys always take care of me. I always recommend S&J to my friends and family.

Excellent service. Our transmission decided to die, and they were extremely helpful and forthright about the needs, cost, and time necessary to get us up and running again. It's been over a year now, and everything continues to run swimmingly. The whole experience has been positive, not a complaint in sight.

I decide to come here to S & J Automotive because they were very reliable and the ones who gave me the most honest diagnosis, in all of the others auto shops I went to they wanted to charge me for things that my car didn t even had. Once I left my car at S & J they told me when it would be fixed and it was, not pricey and quality services.

i scott thompson have a new review that is negative sorry they feel that way ford f-150 has a security pass lock system with programmed keys if you install a old none programmed key you will not be able to start your vehicle how is this my fault thanks and have a great day

My tire went flat in the middle of the freeway. I thought my house was closer than it was, and drove all the way over there. When I got home I noticed the frame for the tire was all messed up, and needed repairs. I was tight on money, but they worked with me and I couldn't be happier! Thanks!

I was so well treated. The mechanics were very nice and explained what was wrong with my truck so I could understand. The receptionist was very nice to work with as well.
