These guys are great! I originally brought my 2011 Audi A6 3.0-T Supercharged to the Audi dealer in Lehi because it was leaking antifreeze into the crank case, and the dealer told me I needed a new engine, that would cost a minimum of $20k, not including labor. I decided to get a second opinion. After speaking to Colby on the phone and he told me it sounds like the Oil Separator. I towed it to the German Auto Shop. I must admit, I was a little skeptical at first. I mean they didn't even have an itemized quote form or business cards. However, he and Wes (Owner,) checked it out and thought that they were 90% sure that's what it was, but they'd have to replace about 15 parts and do a pressure test to make sure. It took them about a week, but man they were right. Wes really knows Audi's. I got my car back and its running like an Audi should - fast, and it cost me less than 1/4 of what the dealer quoted me! Wes, also saw that it needed an Air filter Case, mine was cracked and he threw that in, no charge. You can tell Wes loves and knows Audi's, owns several of his own, and appreciates when they run like clock work. It was fun talking with him about these fast machines! They may only be a two man operation, but these are two men that I'd trust my valuable machine with! Thanks gentlemen, you did great work, and I appreciate it!

If you own a German import you know how dificult it is to get your car into the shop. We have a daily driver and it's very dificult to be without. After calling around to literally 10 shops these guys said bring it in, leave it. We have time set aside for quick fixes and emergency diagnostic. True to their word. Issue resolved by next day. They know what they are talking about and nice people.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I really appreciated and like the service they did on my Q5 for a year ago. But it seems they're on partial retirement now and I may have to find somebody else for my hard jobs.

They tell you they diagnose your problem but actually just assume the problem and charge you for parts you don t actually need and ruin your car more. I wouldn t recommend to anyone

The absolute best car shop I've ever worked with. They are so knowledgeable and will take the time to explain things. These guys are super honest and never try to get away with anything. Their prices are definitely fair. We love these guys so much we drive 2+ to get maintenance and work done on our 2 VW's.

Buyer beware. Just because they say Audis are expensive to repair, doesn t necessarily make it so. They quoted me $1400 to replace a fuel pump. $140 later for the part, I did this easy repair myself that took about 90 minutes. Won t be going back since I felt like they tried to take advantage of me because it s an Audi.

when my clutch blew on my 2013 Golf R, it was a daunting thing taking it to a new VW/AUDI shop, i hadn t been to, to do a critical job. before i went, the prices for clutch jobs online say that they range from $1000- $4000, so i was pretty nervous about the cost, and if i could trust this shop i didn t know. BUT, when i went to drop it off, i knew i trusted Wes right away. he gave me assurance that the job could be done correctly. We could both talk cars, and he sure knows his stuff. and when the time came to pickup the car a couple days later, he showed me the service report, and told me everything he did, and how much he charged for each. there s way too many shops that charge for unnecessary jobs, but this was not the case. Wes did what was needed to be done, and didn t do the jobs he just wanted an extra penny from. with as hard of a job it was to do my car, and how many other Audi and VW mechanics charge, i feel totally confident in using this shop again. Wes knows his cars, and he surely knows how to get the cars back on the road SAFETLY.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

We ve taken all three of our Audi s to The German Auto Shop, and we have had great service every time. They are honest, fair, and timely in their service. Great prices too! I would highly recommend anyone to bring their Audi here!

Nothing but amazing things to say about this place! Very quick and very honest and fairly priced. I actually had the same repair done on the opposite axle boot a few years back, and it was more than double the cost and time at the dealership. I dropped it off in the morning and it was done before close which was super helpful for me. Very satisfied with the work I've had done here on my 2011 Audi S5. I couldn't believe I wasn't charged anything to have these guys take a look at a stabilization check engine fault i'd had for a couple weeks. They were very thorough in explaining the problem and considerate in recommending the most cost effective solution. Very satisfied and will be coming back with my future cars.

Great Mechanics, been going to them now for a little over a year and have been really happy with their work and quickness. Always friendly and willing to answer questions.Update: I used these guys for Over 2 years exclusively. The best experience I have had with taking care of a car. I've been taking my vw here for years, and the trust they've built with me is phenomenal. I don't know how many times they've accurately told me I don't need to get a service done when I was paranoid. They're not in it for the money, they do great work and stand by it if something isn't right.

Great work done by an honest guy and company. I always feel like I am getting the best work done on my car. And if you call him about a problem, he is willing to hear you out and give you an idea of what it is instead of just saying to "bring the car in" like the dealer says. Plus his prices are good compared to other places. So give him a try!

I have been going here for several years with all the Audi's I have owned. It has always been a great experience each time I go. Wes is the best! An honest mechanic with quality work, I trust him and his team. If you own an Audi or VW then look no further.

I took my VW Jetta here a couple of times and was always impressed by the quality of the work and their knowledge of my vehicle. They were very familiar with the problems happening with my car, where some other mechanics I had previously taken the car to diagnosed the issues incorrectly. They are honest, thorough, and fairly priced.

The best repair shop I've ever found. I wouldn't ever take my VW (or Audi if I had one) anywhere else. They will always give estimates for the work before they perform it and will give you a list of anything else that is wrong with your car. Their prices are great and they always do a great job and never pressure you into something you don't need. I can't say enough good things about them.

On a friend's recommendation, we have been bringing our '99 Audi to the German Auto Shop for 2 1/2 years and we've never been disappointed.Wes has always been straightforward with us and very fair in his prices - but not only that, he goes the extra mile even when he doesn't have to; he has fixed up a sagging bumper without even a mention, made our remote entry system work at no charge and there's probably more that I've forgotten.It's never thrilling to need work done on your car, but it's great to have found a place that gives us peace of mind when that does happen.We definitely recommend the German Auto Shop.

Absolutely phenomenal. I am new to the German car world with a Jetta TDI and they have been so helpful. I never felt pressured, or like I was being duped. They answered all my questions and helped me get to know my car even better. I needed some pretty hefty work done and they gave me prices that when I researched, were VERY reasonable and competitive. They even helped me decide what I should do now, and what I could wait on till I had the funds to do the rest. This is certainly my one stop shop for my amazing car.

Best auto repair service I have EVER received! And as a VW owner, I have been to several mechanics. Here's the scoop:1) Both times I scheduled an appointment with them, they serviced my car exactly when they said they would.2) They actually showed me what what was wrong and explained what caused the failure.3) They taught me about car issues unique to my model.4) Though probably not typical, they fixed a problem using an extra part they had at their shop and didn't charge for it or the labor.Ultimately, they don't seem like the typical mechanics that prey on your ignorance about cars. They teach you and fix ACTUAL problems at a low price.

I have long been a fan and owner of Volkswagens and in all the years and trying mechanics these are the guys that get VW guys. They helped us get my son s Beetle running just in time for him to get to drive it after being gone for 2 years. They know the details of the variations of different VW s and are willing to talk about what you have going on. They also do the work right at appropriate prices. If you have a VW or an Audi this is the place for you.

I wish all my cars were German so I could take them all here. I trust these guys to do the right thing for me and take care of my car. The prices are good, the service is great. They are honest and always treat me very well.

Colby was awesome! I had a car that I was interested in purchasing sent to them to be inspected. Colby called me afterward with a very detailed, legitimate report. Colby gave me his honest opinion on the vehicle and answered all questions and concerns that I had. My only complaint is that I wasn t able to take the car to them to perform the necessary repairs, but I m grateful their thorough inspection saved me from purchasing a vehicle that could ve caused me many problems.

I went to check used Audi Q5 prior I purchased and those guys did a great professional job! They were found problems that helped me to reduce the price.Unfortunately the owner didn t want to do the repair and the deal fall through.Anyway thank you guys for your service!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto detailing

I have taken my Volkswagen Jetta in a couple of different times for things including a clutch, coolant leak, and brake fluid leak.They have treated me extremely well and had great prices. Most of the repairs I couldn't have gotten the parts alone for what they charged. I will take my Volkswagen no where else!

I had a suspicion I was getting ripped off by my mechanic so I took my car here for a second opinion. Turns out I was right, they fixed the problem for a third the price and in a tenth of the time the other place cost me. They were honest, pleasant, and professional and explained everything to me in detail. I'm never taking my Jetta anywhere else. Loved it!

This shop does excellent work. Wes has never pressured me into any repair and I always come out spending less money than I expected. No one talks down to you and this is the ONLY place I trust to service/repair my VW.I could go on and on. The bottom line is these guys specialize in VWs / Audis, know them inside and out, and treat their customers really well.

These guys are great! They do an excellent job and charge a fair price. It's nice not having to worry if they're trying to rip you off. I've been very happy with the service and cost each time I've been there. Everyone is also super friendly. Thank you!

I have no idea who is giving these guys 5 star reviews, but it is totally wrong. Their work is way overpriced and very questionable. They took a part off my car and didn't put it back (or tell me about it). They quoted $980 for an engine oil leak. I took it to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and the problem was fixed for $55. I've lost respect for the google review system because of this business

I recently had some service done on my car assuming that it would be cheaper than the dealer, it wasn't. I checked, and they charged me about $100 more than the dealer for one service item and the other I felt was too aggressively suggested and I thought it was overly priced as well. I cannot recommend them.
