Doug and his team are honest, fair and kind. They re all around great people. I ve used them many times to work on our cars. Yesterday I had him look at our 2014 minivan. I was expecting it to need major repairs. Because Doug s team is so great, you sometimes have to wait awhile to get your vehicle in. I had to wait 2 weeks. During that time, I had it checked out by another mechanic who said it needed major repairs starting at over $4k and it could go up from there because the price of parts is increasing. We were so stressed out! My husband and I decided to wait and see what Doug said because we trust him. Well, Doug and his team fixed it for around $365. My husband asked if I forgot a zero. No, I didn t. Doug saved us at least $3,900. Go to Doug. He and his sons and staff are fair, honest, and they ll take care of your car. Also, he told me that if my check engine light comes back on that I can bring it back in for a free recheck. Seriously, it s the best mechanic shop I know of and we ve lived in Utah County for 26 years.

This is were you come to get quality honest service.These guys have never made me feel like they value money more than their craft. They care about their customers because they understand that car trouble is extremely stressful.Kirk is always super honest, and humble with his work, he does an amazing job. My dad always told me to find a good honest mechanic shop, and I found one, and it's coming in clutch now that he is gone, these guys got my business for as long as I'm in Utah county.They will go above and beyond for you within their abilities. And I am so grateful for them.

Called from Virginia to get a second opinion and Doug was extraordinarily helpful. When we lived in Utah and got work done there, he would show me under the car and what he was seeing. Straight forward, awesome place. I d recommend this shop to anyone.

I recently had a used car inspected at Doug's, but unfortunately, the assessment was not thorough enough. While Doug quickly identified issues with the front brakes, he missed problems with the rear brakes and axle leaks. This oversight cost me in the price negotiation and subsequent repairs. While I appreciate the convenience of the same-day service (others were days out), I cannot recommend Doug's for used car inspections due to the lack of thoroughness. Overall, I would give Doug's 5-stars for convenience and customer service, but only 1-star for missing major issues with the rest of the car.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Doug s automotive is the best! I ve been going to Doug exclusively for the past 2 years! I trust him with my classic car and my daily driver! Even with short notice Doug always gets me back on the road within a few days where most mechanics can leave you waiting weeks. His work is always top notch quality and his prices are fair! Definitely the best mechanic in the Provo/orem area. We ve been going to them for several years now. Very trustworthy and affordable. I always felt like they cared more than just about making money. I would recommend them to anyone!

Doug spent the time to listen to me over the phone and troubleshoot what problems my car may be having. I returned the next day and he checked out my car. He said there were no problems and if anything does happen then I can come back! I felt how honest and great a person he is during that moment. Doug went above and beyond. I spent way too much at another auto shop to just get a diagnosis and quote, but Doug did the same diagnosis for free, charged $300 less for a catalytic converter, and when that didn t end up fixing the car, he put another part in for free that fixed it.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto emissions testingServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto emissions testing

I needed car repair work done a few years ago and went to a number of different automechanics to get quotes on different prices. Doug had by far the cheapest price so I decided to have him do the work. Ever since, I only come to Doug's auto repair even when I have lived over 60 miles away. Doug, Jake, and Kirk are the most honest people I have ever met, they are fully transparent on how much the car parts cost and how much labor they charge which is always incredibly low compared to everywhere else I've ever been or heard of. I also can't help but chit chat with Doug for a while everytime I come in, he's one of the most personable and coolest people I've met.

I LOVE DOUG s! I ve been going to them for the last 3 years (and for 3 different cars since I ve had a lot of problems) and every time I am blown away. They have always been honest about repairs and have never tried to oversell me on anything. Superb communication and reasonable prices. Plus, I have never once felt talked down to there because I am a woman who doesn t know much about cars. This has happened to me almost everywhere else and I appreciate the respect they show every one of their customers.Update 5/31/22: I have moved away from the Provo area but still come to Doug s whenever I can. The service is just absolutely unmatched.

Fast work & great service! I dropped off my car after making an appointment, and they were able to get it in and out in the same day. Didn't know what was wrong exactly when I dropped it off, but they were able to quickly diagnose and fix (replaced wheel bearing). This place came highly recommended to me by a couple friends and I'm glad I stopped in.

I found a car at a dealership close to Doug s auto repair and I live in Boise. I called to see if I could have it inspected before I buy it. He told me to have the salesman bring it in and he would drop everything and check it out. Amazing! How awesome is that! This car market is crazy right now and having to buy a car without seeing or test driving it is so stressful. I m so great full.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I've been going to Doug, Jake, and Kirk for over ten years since I moved to Utah. They're the best: professional, friendly, honest. I trust them implicitly and they've helped keep our cars going for years. Doug is a Mustang enthusiast but he also understands that I don't need my Honda Odyssey to stay at racing standards. I've had them work on brakes, air conditioning, heating, engine repair, transmission, etc. They've always been professional and great to work with.My only hesitation in writing this review is that I don't want to make them busier than they already are!Thanks guys!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Doug's is great. They are super good about telling you the most cost-effective way to repair your car. I've gone in multiple times because Jiffy Lube told me I needed a repair done, and Doug or Jake has looked at it, said that I don't need the repair yet, and not charged me a cent. They are very competent and very honest. It's great to have a mechanic you can trust and not someone who is trying to get you to spend more money than you need to

Doug's auto is a shop that I trust enough that I would send my grandmother, wife, or anyone else there with confidence that they will be treated fairly. They do quality work, and their prices are typically lower than other shops.Many shops will simply enter the tasks into a computer program and charge what the software says would be typical. That time estimate is typically higher than actualb because the incentive is to charge the highest amount than insurance companies will deem reasonable. Doug's prices seem consistently lower than those estimates.I live 45 minutes away and will still try to go to Doug's if feasible.They do not do tires, and they do not do transmissions, but they are great at general automotive work.

I LOVE Doug s Auto. I went in to get simple work done on my car (fix a headlight and oil change) and it was repaired in under an hour. I also had them check my breaks. While some mechanics may lie and say that they needed to be fixed (since I have no idea how to do it or what to look for), Doug was very honest and told me where the breaks where at and how long I had left on them. I went back with my fiance s car to fix his AC problem, and it was an easy fix without any problems. Prices are fair, they work very quickly, and Doug himself is a great and personable guy. I will definitely be coming back here in the future!
