Although I didn't get my trailer repaired because it was in really bad shape and not work repairing. These guys were very fast and super helpful on diagnosing what all the issues were. Plus when I decided not to have it repaired they were not pushy trying to get me to do something that didn't make sense. Thank you!

Brakes on my boat trailer weren't working quite right, so I brought the boat down to Dan and Advantage Automotive to see what they thought. I didn't have the time to do the work myself, and I wanted to be sure it was done right. These guys cleared their schedule for me so I could leave the next day for a week long trip to Lake Powell. They got everything working perfect, and my trip was awesome! Can't say enough about the customer service these guys have, they really do go above and beyond to make sure your well taken care of. I've purchased things from them in the past, but this was my first experience having them work on my trailer, and I'll definitely be coming back in the future for all my trailer needs. They do fantastic work, I would highly recommend Advantage Automotive.

We love this place! Recommended to us by a knowledgeable friend that we trust several years ago. They have replaced an engine for us, and given us advice when it was NOT worth it to replace the engine in another vehicle. They are always really straightforward, and I love that. They really know their stuff, and they do good work for low prices. They even sold us a used car for a very low price when we really, really needed one and had a very limited budget.I'm not very good about leaving reviews, but it's on my mind, because I just got off the phone with my son. I told him to take his less-than-reliable '88 Dodge Ram in to these guys and let them take a look. I know they will help him get it running smooth for a fair price.

Theses guys are the most honest mechanics I have ever done business with! Dan is very adamant about educating customers on what their car needs; rather than telling you what you need and you have to take their word for it. Prices are great for the work they do. Each mechanic/technician truly cares and does an effective job. I recommend this establishment, 100000000%!

Christina has gone out of her way to help me with all sorts of car problems. The price is fair for the service, but she always finds me a better price on parts or knows where I can get them. I highly recommend advantage. They also are very thorough and let you know what needs work soon so you can plan for it. When something happens, they take care of you.

I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. These guys have always been straight with me. I usually do my own work but sometimes when I'm in a pinch and don't have time they've always been fair and helped me out. You get quality work from true experts that won't try and sell you anything you don't need right away to stay safe. Anyone looking for a great shop to stay loyal to for years would be a fool not to put their trust in advantage automotive and the family atmosphere that understands safety for everyone on the road.

I've been going to this shop for 9 years now.. And I refer everyone I know to them. The shop owners are amazing and always so honest. Family based owners. I always take my car to the mechanic named Zac, very personable, he pays attention to details and he makes sure he is looking out for the best interest of the customer. He takes good care of my car! I always know my baby is in good hands. And the shop always keeps me updated. I never have to worry. Love this shop!!! I will continue going here always.

While getting my tires rotated, the technician explained to me that one of my wheel studs needed to be replaced. He recommended Advantage Automotive. I called Advantage Automotive about the issue and they were friendly and professional. I dropped my car off in the afternoon, knowing that they might have to keep it overnight to finish in the morning, but they got right to work and called me to pick it up before they closed.

The Good: great price for parts and labor, good customer serviceThe Bad: Didn't notice a very obvious issue they created that I heard when driving off the lot.I got the great $25 oil change and the $50 alignment deal (which I needed since I'd noticed vibration at freeway speed and uneven tire wear). During the alignment check they showed me how loose and worn the lower ball joints were and gave me a fair price for the parts and labor to replace them.I would give five stars for the good treatment and fair pricing except when I went to leave they gave me the car back and I drove off and I heard a loud sound coming from the tires that would increase in volume with speed. I took it back, but the tech protested that it already had been making noise like that (which it clearly hadn't), but he said he'd take a look.Turns out they had left something bent and quickly fixed it and there was no more noise. I am a bit concerned that after they finished with the job they drove the car over to where I was without noticing a very obvious (loud) issue they had created that I noticed immediately as I drove off the lot. I hope this hasn't happened before, and it's probably an honest mistake, but it does call into question the workmanship. Overall, though, I would cautiously recommend Advantage since there prices and treatment were very good.

UPDATE: 2018-02-01 Still awesome. Different cars now, but still great service. :)I've been going here for years. They've done excellent work on all of my vehicles and have been good at communicating with me when the odd unexpected problem comes up. I recommend them to my friends.

Unimpressive customer service. I was referred to Advantage Automotive after another auto shop broke the stud on my tire, and Advantage Automotive would fix it for me without charge. The only day I have off of work is Saturday so I called to ask to come in that day. I was not aware they were only open till 2 and it was already almost that time. So I decided to go the next Saturday. The next Saturday I called in the morning to come in and told the lady on the phone what I needed replaced. She said they only sell trailer parts on Saturdays, but to come in Mon-Fri from 8:30-6:00. So I had to put off my repairs yet again. The following week, I planned to go on Thursday after work since the next day was Pioneer Day and was closed for the holiday. The shop doesn't close till 6 so I figured if I went straight after work and got there at 4 I could get my car fixed. So that day after work I got there at 4 and handed the receptionist my paperwork from the other auto shop, and barely looking at it to see what needed to be done, she just said to come back Monday in the morning. I told her I cant take time off work and so the only way to make it work would be to send my wife and 5 month old baby to take care of it since that was our ONLY car. She didn't really seem to care. No "I'm sorry" or "I apologize for the inconvenience". She just kinda stared at us and waited for us to say we'd come in Monday. So on Monday morning my wife and baby went to the shop. I was not impressed by the things my wife had to say about her experience. She said she got there and the receptionist cut her off as she was explaining what she needed done on the car. The receptionist just pulled out the paperwork we had handed to her a few days ago and said, "yeah I know who you are, I need your key". So my wife gave her the key and was told it would be a couple hours. The service only took about an hour and 15 minutes, which was nice. The whole time she was there though, she received no updates. When the service was done, the tech handed her the keys, said "here you go" and walked off. Didn't say anything about how it went and didn't tell my wife where he had parked the car, as a courtesy. So my wife packed up and didn't get a "have a good day" or "thanks for coming in" as she walked out the door. Just silence. This place is one of the most unwelcoming businesses we've been to. We will not be back.

I was very happy with my experience at Advantage Automotive. I went to get a wheel alignment and oil change. The service was quick and friendly, and the pricing was very fair. Everyone I talked to was very informative and helpful without being too pushy about the other small issues that my old car has. I will most definitely be going back when my car needs service.

I will give that these guys seem friendly and willing to help. However thats where my list of nice things ends. Took a vehicle to them to a diagnosis of a developing issue in an emergency situation. Got back a laundry list of items, along with the problem we took it in for. Asked them to just fix the problem. Picked up our vehicle and it was still making the same noises. They said to give it time, it was fluid settling. Drove around for another week only to have my vehicle flood my garage with coolant. Having had it looked at by 2 other certified Mechanics now the most likely cause would have been it was damaged during the prior repair. Especially as the new part that failed had been replaced just under 2 years prior, and was much to early for a failure. Especially for it to have had no issues and to get to this stage in a little over a week. If your in a pinch they may get you through, I would recommend you put in the time and find another repair shop.

I went in to have my a new car looked over for purchase. Dan was extremely helpful, and went out of his way to explain to me everything. He not only was honest, but generous. I could tell that he cared about his customers and was looking out for my best interest. They made me a customer for life. I cannot recommend this auto mechanic garage enough.

Pretty disappointing, maybe it's because I have an old car and those can be frustrating to work on, maybe the crew was having a bad day. I felt disdained from the moment I arrived, and then I was charged $55 for them to look at my car for 5 minutes, give me a wrong diagnosis, and not even attempt to make a repair. She made one phone call then said "we can't find parts for it". And didn't even entertain my suggestion for a fix.I ended up fixing my problem myself, the tools cost half as much as their wrong diagnosis.I'd not waste my time if I were you, unless you're looking for trailer parts which they seemed to have in ample supply.

They were recommended highly, however after aligning my 2500 ram, I drove about 100 miles and while driving the truck shook and went way out of alignment. They said I must have tampered with it, but the tech had to have not tightened something. They WOULD NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK! They charged me $55 to fix the mistake. And to be accused of working on a ram diesel myself and intensionally breaking the alignment was extremely bad. I would never go back there only because they wouldn't stand by their work.

I can't say enough good about this place. They are friendly and do an excellent job. If you're looking for a new place or a place in general look no further. The last thing I want to work about is if my mechanic did a good job and if I got ripped off. The owner is hands on and very engaged in his business. Go in and give them a try. I've been taking my cars to this place for all my mechanical work now for over a decade and have never been disappointed.

Called to see if I should bring my truck here as I only get one free tow. They said they could fix it, it sounded like the fuel pump. Brought it in... $109 dollar diagnosis. Said it wasn't the fuel pump. Had to pay to get it towed to another shop. They fixed it in 3 hours, putting in a new fuel pump. Runs great. Called to see if I could at least get my diagnosis fee back, and they said no. I really stressed that I only got one tow, and said I could take it somewhere else if they didn't know how to work on this truck.

I have been going to Advantage Automotive for 4 years now and have yet to write a review. Each time I visit, I get an up front and honest explanation and price and I have always appreciated that. This last time that I visited, I had three issues come up all at the same time. My clutch went out, I developed an exhaust leak and my emergency brake wouldn't hold. Having had my clutch just worked on, I was disappointed to have it fail (the failure was on the OEM MOPAR part and not on the install). These guys took amazing care of me and gave me a great deal. At this time I couldn't afford to have the exhaust leak fixed and the emergency brake fixed, but they found that fixing these where trivial and they fixed them without even telling me. I couldn't be more happy with these guys and will continue to bring my vehicles in for service.Thanks!!!

We came to get an alignment but instead had to fix some other things in order to get the alignment. The workers at Advantage Automotive took us into the shop and explained all of the problems to us in a clear manner. When we expressed that we couldn't pay for all of the repairs they went through and gave us a timeline of how long we could wait for all the problems until they became serious. We paid for the most serious problems and appreciated the honesty that they gave us because it is allowing us more time to save to pay for the other problems.

Dan and team are among the best in the Auto service industry. They are straight shooters and honest! I am proud to partner with this shop in the BlueStar inspections program. I refer friends and family to them all the time. Highly recommend!

Go elsewhere, i took my car in to get a simple alignment done and it turns out that i had some parts that needed to be replaced before the car could be aligned. Any normal shop should have told me that it could not be aligned until the repairs were completed. But they did not do that they told my wife that the car had been aligned and that they did the best they could with the bent parts, i see where they get the name advantage auto, because they take advantage of their customersi replaced a bent toe link bar and then tired to take it back to have them finish the alignment, they were blatantly rude to my wife when she took it back, yelling at her, almost made her cryI will never do business with this company again

We've been here a couple of times. They are fast and reliable. This last time they got me in the day I called and were done that afternoon. In addition, I thought the initial quote was a bit high, but I was in a pinch and just went with it. Turns out I needed different (cheaper) parts than they first thought and the job turned out 2/3rds the cost they quoted me. I would likely never have known, but they were honest about it and I saved $300 bucks.

FAST AND QUALITY SERVICE.Went in to have 3 lug nut bolts replaced took about an hour and a half, and i had a few questions about my AC and Joe the head hauncho looked at it for free and told me what was the issue. Very happy here!

well i went with my girlfriend, to get an alignment, which they did for a great price (b/c we had a 25 dollar coupon). but when they were done, they recomended a few things they wanted fix for her right away / give quote for right then.. (mind you they thought my girlfriend was a dits and didn't know anything about cars.. shes a mechanic herself ..)They told her "your marker lights were out on the front" they were not! "your battery needs to be cleaned from corrosion" it was dirty, but the idiots dont know the difference from battery corrosion, and dirt(which was not even on the nodes!!) "the timing belt needs to be replaced" this is one of the only true things they said, but it still has a while on it, but guess how much they were asking? $575!?!?! (got to be kidding me), talk about a scam.... they get you in for a cheap alignment and try to rip you off hardcore !( i actually wanted to rescue a guy, who fell for their deception, all he wanted was his filter to be replaced for his air conditioning, all that takes is a new filter' and unscrew 2 bolts... they wanted 120 bucks... thats bullshit if you ask me.... anyways dont go here unless just for the alignment.. 1 out of 5 stars for me!

I went here for a wheel alignment on my car. They had great pricing and did a fantastic job. They were also exceptionally honest. I would definitely go back to this place for other services.

It s hard to find a good mechanic that you can trust - Dan is the man! We have been bringing all of our vehicles to him for going on 20 years. I highly recommend this shop!

Thought of coming here for some repairs and decided to come look at the reviews first. After reading some of the responses from the owner, I've decided not to. If a customer has a bad experience, own it and don't trash your customer. If they felt mistreated, apologize. Getting defensive just looks really bad.

I called them for an alignment , was told the price so drove frim Mapleton to Orem, and was told we don't do alignments on Saturday. I said so i drove clear over here for nothing, I got a shoulder shrug, and an oh well we don't do em on Saturday. Bad buisness... Im a mechanic myself and know alot of people in the automotive industry and none as un-proffesional as the guy that was working 7/29/17..

I have worked for Dan. He was my mentor. He taught me about being honest with repairs. Dan is an excellent mechanic and one of the last honest repair shops left.
