Just a heads up when you go here for emissions to be careful.They like to run a scam where if your vehicle doesn t pass the first time, they tell you to wait 30 days to clear any codes before coming back for a retest. When I came back for the retest (one day after their 30-day recommendation) he told me that he had to recharge me for the test.That s unfortunate that they run schemes like this. They get extra business once, but lose a customer for life.

It's so nice to have a trustworthy car shop to go to that treats the ladyfolk respectfully and makes honest diagnoses. And they have the sweetest poodle, and poodle people are always trustworthy. pro-Tech is THE place to go.

Came here as a second choice to Jiffy Lube up the street... they expected me to wait 2+ hours for an emissions test! I came to Pro-Tech and it's taken me literally 15 minutes and I'm done, paid and I'm out the door WITH my registration sticker! This location didn't show on the state's on the spot renewal search results.

As a woman I have had a lot of auto repair guys lie to me and try to take advantage of me. Not with Allen and his dad Cal. I completely trust them. They are good, honest and fair. Allen always explains to me what he will be doing, approximately how long it will take and a price estimate. I highly recommend Allen Pack.

I ve been trying to bring my business here for 4 years and if the son is working I can never get an emmissions test done. Machine is always broken. If my wife goes she can get in every time and register her car which the only time I was able to do that was if the dad was there. My experience was the same as some of the other ladies that have written reviews. My husband took his truck here and had a great experience so I was shocked when I brought our van in to have our suspension looked at and had a completely opposite interaction. Guy was beyond rude and definitely made me feel like I was a burden. Bottom line... if your husband or father has the time to take your car in, you're probably good, but girls I'm telling you, go somewhere else.

My tire ran over a nail right next to the shop and although they don t usually work with tires Allen took time out of his day to fill my tire with air and call/refer me to a tire shop up the road. Very kind, honest person! Highly recommend this shop!

The work was done well and my car runs great. The issue was when the owner called to tell me the price. He refused to tell me what the charge was for until I agreed to let him do the work. When I got the receipt, I see a charge for $95.23 for diagnostic. Any other shop I have been to waives the diagnostic charge if they perform the work. I feel I could have paid less pretty much anywhere else. The charge was $343 to change the spark plugs and wires for my son's car. The dealer charged me $157 for the same thing on my car. Way overpriced. I guess that's why he wouldn't tell me what he was doing.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning

We were traveling when our auto stopped in North Ogden. The tow truck took us to Pro-Tech Automotive Service where Alan immediately helped us. He replaced the alternator and quickly and efficiently got us on our way during a busy Friday afternoon. We appreciate his friendliness and advice. Yesterday I was recommended to this place for my Emissions, my car failed. I fixed my car issue went back the next day waited an hour for them to open. It was very Bad service the guy was rude I felt like a burden I asked for the tags he claimed I had go to DMV since it originally failed. The business is fair priced very fast but Not Professional at all in my case.Very unsatisfactoryService: General repairs & maintenance

Allen is fantastic. My car wouldn't start and he got me in same day, did a thorough diagnostic, located the problem, got a part from salt lake, and had me finished up that afternoon...it was incredible. Great price, fantastic service, highly recommend!

This was the best service I have experienced in a long time, the people were very knowledgeable and polite. They were able to diagnose my car problems and explain it to me in a way I could understand. Then the cost was very reasonable compared to other places I had checked out number one in my book thank you pro-Tech rating5

I gave 5 stars 9 months ago because the service was and still is excellent. Now I am commenting to let everyone know my car still is going, no problems, not even one. Before I came here I took my car to every auto repair place a person can think of, including places in Brigham, every 20 year old thought they knew what they were doing but really had no idea because it would cause the same exact problem later. So finally I took my car here and haven't had one problem since then. I would recommend coming here for everyone. These guys know what they are doing and don't just guest. They get the job done. I'll be taking my car only to this place from here on out. My family and friends will be giving this place a try here soon and I'm excited to know that their issues will be fixed. Thank you for your excellent service and resolving my issues with my car.

Best auto shop in town. You can't find anyone who is more honest, fair, and amazing with cars. Been going here for years, never had a problem. Never had a vehicle he can't fix! No long waiting, no having to have things fixed twice. He does it fast and he does it right. Give Cal a call, tell him James sent you!

Allen is a great and honest mechanic. If we can't fix our own vehicles or require assistance, Al is our guy for tires and vehicle maintenance; always helpful with repair info and the only place we go to for emissions. Bonus: he's a drag racer so he lives for automobiles!

Moved here about two years ago. Needed some service for my truck. Took a chance and I m so glad I did! You could not ask for better service or care for your vehicle! I don t go anywhere else unless they recommend that place. I've been coming here for years. Referred many friends because of the honest, straight forward way this automotive shop has always done business. No one likes to hear about problems they don't expect but I've come to learn, you get what you pay for. It's far less expensive getting the right facts up front than chasing your tail with the wrong shop. Pro-Tech is the best I've ever found!

I would trust Mr. Pack with my life. He goes the extra mile to do things the right way. He has done so many things for me that I can't begin to tell you. And don't forget his son's shop at the south side of his shop. Both do quality excellent work. When Mr. Pack works on your car it is like he becomes an extension of the car and they understand each other. I will really miss him when he retires.

These people were very unprofessional. they were not knowledgeable in our type of car. Went as far as to say that my husband was not really active military! And when I said I d make sure to leave feed back online he said that if I wanted to be a keyboard warrior to go ahead! That it didn t bother him one bit! Obviously his customers are not priority to him!

The business advertised a special for OBD2 emission testing for $22. I took my diesel truck in for a test. The man at the counter said the diesel truck cost $30 because the special was for OBD2 vehicles. I was aware that the diesel vehicles are an OBD2 test as well and asked why it was different. The man advised that the test is an OBD2 but also said it was different. I found this to be untrue as the same equipment and procedure is done for a diesel OBD2 as for a gas vehicle. Just to be sure I called the Weber/Morgan health department and asked them to verify. I was advised the same equipment and procedure is done with a light duty diesel (which my truck is) as well as any gas vehicle which consists of using the analyzer as well as a visual inspection.I feel that the man was dishonest in saying the test was different and wanting to charge more money. Honesty with a auto shop is very important and I find it possible that if they were dishonest on this small issue to make a couple bucks what other issues that may be more lucrative would they be deceptive about? Be wary!!
