I had a horrible experience with these guys. They were very unethical. We closed the deal and they gave me 30 minutos to come back with the cash (they don t accept upfront money as a deposit). I came back in 27 minutes and they sold the car to someone else. If they cannot keep their word on something that simple, I cannot imagine what else they lie about. In my opinion they are not honest.I d stay away from this shady dealer.

Bought a car from them earlier this week. They are not your typical car dealership. It s a small family operated business and they don t have salesmen to try and convince you or annoy you. You either like the car or don t ha. I decided I wanted the car, and the negotiations lasted all but about 30 mins. Short and to the point. The only area where I think they need to reevaluate is their non refundable deposit policy and to be more upfront about it I understand that they have to cover themselves so people aren t screwing them over, but their policy is that whatever you have decided your down payment is going to be, they try to collect up front to hold the car. If for whatever reason you don t get the car, they keep the entire thing. Example:We decided to pay $4500 down and were to pick the car up the next day. Had we not asked, it didn t seem that they would tell us that it wasn t refundable at a. If we didn t come the next day (due to getting financing denied), they would keep the entire thing! However the $4500 was our choice. Not theirs. Had we chose to just pay 1k down, then that would be the only amount non refundable. After questioning it, they did say that they can also just to 1k/day to hold it. Seems kinda steep to me still, but I wish they would have been more open instead of just letting us sign away 4500. Or institute their 1k per day policy with down payments larger than 1k. So if I pay 5k down, and after two days I end up not getting the car, they keep 2k and 3k is refundable. I think this would be a better strategy as the opposite does give the appearance of fishyness. That being said, overall it was a great car buying experience, one of the best and shortest I ve ever had, and knowing what I know now, I would still come back and by a car from them. I do recommend it.More detail

A year ago I bought my first ever car from this place. The car broke down on me not 2 months after buying it. THE RADIATOR WAS HANGING ON ZIP TIES. I ended up paying 2,000 in mechanical repairs before I eventually had to sell it due to everything breaking down and I could no longer afford the repairs. Went to management and they did nothing to make it right. Don t trust them.

My first experience with USAuto Star was truly amazing as it was my first car purchase. As a new college student I needed a reliable vehicle within a tight budget. One of the best thing about their customer service is that they weren't pushing to sell you a car and were very knowledgeable. For my next upgrade, I will definitely come back.

They were the worst dealer In Utah. Took my car there to get fixed was promised they could do it. It s been over a year I still don t have my car and they caused 4,000$ in damages the dealership said. Really bad dealership. They say they don t do repairs but they only buy broken cars fix it until the engine light is off and sell it with no warranty 90% of the cars are broken before hand and are sold broken they just make it look nice

Theres something sketchy going on here and no one is giving any answers. I bought a car with multiple problems which is fine, because I'm responsible for inspecting it. But there was a problem with the car that they knew about but didnt tell me. This just tells me they probably did not inspect this car thoroughly before selling. This problem was resolved. The biggest problem is that they didnt even have the title when they sold me the car. After they made the sale, they said they had to retrieve the title. Not sure why they would be selling a car without the title, that's a red flag. If they would give a real explanation as to why I havent recieved the title a month later, it would be fine.I dont recommend

CHECK CARFAX FIRST!!!! They will claim carfax isn't completely reliable, but I'd say that the fact that every reputable dealership uses them speaks for itself it's certainly not replace than their method! We came in to look at an F-150. They told us it was a rebuilt title but only because it had been stolen. He swore up and down that there had been no damage to the vehicle. We gave them a deposit to hold the truck and that night ran a carfax and found out that there had been accidents that had caused structural damage and front end damage. We called the next morning to tell them what we had learned and his response was "Okay." So, we told them we didn't want the truck and asked for our deposit back. We were told that it was a non-refundable deposit, one of the reasons being to cover lost sales while they held the truck, which made no sense because we left at the end of the business day and called first thing the next morning. They claimed they had no knowledge of the accidents because the insurance papers they got didn't give that information. So, let's pretend they really didn't know about that damage, I would think that if the customer found out about something that significant, it might be grounds for refunding the deposit they left in good faith that they had the correct information. I should have run the carfax before we left a deposit but they basically took our money for nothing. We finally settled on getting back half of the deposit and were told that any negative reviews we left they would respond to, so bring on the excuses Auto Star. You're attitude will speak for itself, I'm sure of it. Also, we just got an update that the truck sold, I'd be really interested to know if the new owner was given any of the information we passed on to them.

First, I want to say that I am not attempting to hurt anyone's feelings by writing this review. Both Jessica and Saul were kind and fun to talk to when we were buying a 2000 Nissan Xterra. Second, I totally understand what AS IS means and I bought a used vehicle AS IS. Now, having said that, my complaint has to do with possible non-disclosures or affirmative misrepresentations of material facts. Basically, this means I have concerns that there were issues with the vehicle that was sold to me that USAuto Star knew about but did not disclose in order to make the sale and or not negotiate the sale price. A dealership is held to a different standard than a private individual selling a vehicle. As a consumer, I anticpate a dealer has in depth mechanical knowledge and inspects vehicles thoroughly prior to purchase and then selling it to a consumer. Relying on the AS IS notion does not exclude a dealer from sharing mechanical issues they found with the vehicle during an inspection. And, it also does not place onus on the consumer to have a vehicle thorougly inspected by a mechanic before purchase. The dealer/consumer relationship implies trust. A consumer relies on a dealer who claims to have inspected a vehicle, presumably by a qualified mechanic, to disclose material facts about the vehicle. Which is why Auto Dealer Fraud laws exist. When I am told a vehicle has been inspected, this term implies that it has been carefully examined or scrutinized (see dictionary). If that's the case, then I can only presume that information regarding the vehicle's condition was not disclosed to me. I'm sure the response I will receive will be the inspection was a Safety and/or Emissions inspection. The tires were bad so it could not have "passed" a safety inspection. A safety inspection also means the Master Cylinder was inspected (This went out 3 days after we bought it). I know a safety inspection is no longer required; but I was told, perhaps inadvertently, that is passed safety and emissions. I recall this specifically, because I mentioned that I thought safety inspection was no longer required. If a safety inspection was not done, then I caution against telling a consumer that it was inspected. Within the few days we have "owned" the vehicle, for which we do not have a title yet, we found that the engine over heats, the master cyclinder went out, the inside dash cluster lights do not stay on at night, and the clutch needs to be replaced. In a call to USAutoStar, I was told, they didn't think the clutch would go out until January or February. This was not disclosed when I purchased the vehicle. In the week we've owned the vehicle, we have replaced the master cylinder, slave cylinder, thermostat, thermostat housing, tires, and six tire studs. (I knew the tires needed to be replaced.) The vehicle still overheats, but we don't know why. We haven't gotten around to fixing the dash lights yet. I called USAutoStar and informed them about the clutch. I received a response via Facebook Messenger stating there was nothing they could do, but I could take it to their mechanic which would cost $400 to $500. When I responded to the message, I shared all the problems we've had, I received no reply. This makes me sad. But sadness, is not a reason to give only 1 star. The reason for 1 star is for what I fear to be misrepresentations of material facts and/or non-disclosures. I question did USAuto Star know about these problems and not disclose them? And, if they did not know, well, that makes the whole business questionable, because they are in the car business. I understand my responsiblity in purchasing a used vehicle and do not lay that blame on anyone else. But, what happened to good old fashioned customer service? Or doing the right thing? Do you feel at all bad for selling me this vehicle that has so many problems from the start? I hope your response to this is as kind as it was when I bought the vehicle. And, I wish you well.

US Auto Star had the expertise and tools to be able to reset my airbag memory on my 2015 F-150 (after I had replaced my deployed airbags). The price was very fair and and they were able to do it while I waited.

I don t recommend them at all for those who actually know what they re looking into in a vehicle ... I contacted them through fb about a vehicle and the ad provided most of the information but when I ask about a CARFAX they re respond was that they don t they re not obligated to provide it and that to me sounds lazy and untrustworthy that s no way to build trust with a customer
